Eastside Athletics, established in November 2023, provides private personal training services to the Bellevue, Kirkland, and Redmond communities. Our mission is to provide you with the tools you need to develop, and then maintain, a healthy and active lifestyle. A custom training plan is developed for each client using scientifically proven training principles to produce specific adaptations such as increased strength, power, and endurance, along with improvements in body composition and other health markers. We aim to provide value that surpasses what other trainers can or will offer. Our trainers are highly educated, efficient, and put their hearts into every session.

If you couldn't already tell by the amazing reviews- Alina is fantastic at what she does. I started training with her a few months ago, and I genuinely wish I had found her sooner. I am not new to working out, but I definitely would not define myself as somebody who is comfortable in the gym (I.e. weights/equipment). I have learned so much working with Alina, and I can definitely feel a difference in my body! On top of all that, she makes it fun. She is easy to talk to and has a good sense of humor- which is a nice distraction when you are pushing through some tough final reps. I look forward to our sessions, which is in stark contrast to my typical dread walking into a workout class/gym. If you are on the fence about personal training at Eastside Athletics, don’t be. I guarantee after one session, you will be hooked!

I’ve been training with Alina for a few months now, and she’s exactly the kind of coach I was hoping to find. I'm a functional medicine health coach and nurse, so I really value a thoughtful, intentional approach—and that’s what she delivers.

Alina is a true gem, and Eastside Athletics is a top-tier fitness center. Alina was my trainer for about two years at a different facility, and though she's far from where I live now, I prioritize booking a session with her whenever I'm in the area. She has a profoundly nuanced understanding of the body and is outstanding at creating programs that suit exactly what your body needs. (A number of chronic conditions on my end certainly never made that easy, either!!) She gave me the confidence to begin exercising again after many years of intense protective instincts. Repeated, low-threshold injuries meant I was terrified to lift even 3-lb weights when we began, and within two years of her guidance, I was able to do 65-lb RDLs with excitement rather than fear. She genuinely changed my life, and I will always be deeply grateful to her.
To sum it up, she is always kind and respectful of your assessment of your own body while ensuring that the workouts are challenging, safe, and fun. Truly one of the best trainers of all time. I recommend Alina and Eastside Athletics highly.

I recently had the pleasure of attending a women's group fitness class led by Alina. From start to finish, every aspect of the class exceeded my expectations.

I have been working out under Alina’s guidance at Monthly Women’s Workout group for over a year. Great experience. Very methodical and diligent in planning and execution of every session. She has personally helped me a lot on correcting forms on several exercises which immediately made them very very effective {read hard :) } rightfully and helped get rid of weird pains post session.

I started training with Alina at the end of 2022. I was 50 years old, had never done any sport or fitness in my life, was obese with several physical issues that I was afraid would stop me from being able to exercise. I had also decided that I needed to change my lifestyle if I want to have any chance of being healthy and mobile for the next 20-30 years, and finding a personal trainer was at the top of my list. I did not feel confident just going to the gym and trying to figure stuff out on my own.
Alina is an awesome trainer. She completely understood where I was coming from, what my goals and fears were and was able to suggest adaptation to exercises and some new equipment that I had never even heard about. She is an educated, knowledgeable and experienced trainer and an awesome person all around. I really appreciated that she was able to explain what we were doing and why, short term and long term. I was impressed by how well she was able to judge my abilities (she was better at it than me!) and how attentive she was during our training. I could relax and exercise without any anxiety. I have to say that it was really impressive how she was able to give me just the right amount and type of encouragement and support I needed. All of these things led me to enjoy my gym time even more.
It’s been over a year now, and my results are great! I am so much stronger and capable now, with better stamina, and have more self confidence. I am seeing some body recomposition happening and I couldn’t be happier. My mental health has improved a lot and now going to the gym is the highlight of my week. I’m pretty sure I gained a friend in Alina, along with all those other things, which is beyond awesome.
I was incredibly lucky to have found Alina when I had. I’m very sorry to see her leave this area, but I am confident that she gave me a solid foundation for my fitness journey, and that I will be able to continue to build on it throughout the years. I've worked with Alina now atleast 5 years. The first thing I noticed when I met Alina is she is a very strong, confident person. She brought her all to every session and was an excellent listener.
Over the years, I've seen Alina grow as a coach, person, and business owner. It's very rare in my experience to find a coach these days that's all in on your success. The interaction seems transactional, and the help doesn't go past your visit to the gym.
Alina is a very rare coach. She stands out with education, support, and direction. The amount of time she invests in a client goes well beyond the hour. She gives you support in the session, out of the session, homework to keep you on track, detailed workout records, and a DXA to hold you accountable.
At this point, I've worked with many trainers, and experiences have varied. I've seen first hand what a good coach can do to impact your life. When Alina coaches she is very focused and invested in your health and progress. She doesn't just help your reach your goals but truly inspires you to live a healthier life.

When I came to Alina to start training, my goal was essentially to build muscle and become stronger. She created a custom workout regimen for me so I could self-guide some of my workouts which really took the mental burden out of working out and was such a game changer. During our in person sessions, she challenges me in ways that I don’t challenge myself which has really contributed to me getting stronger. I began to see results just a few months after consistently working with her and a year later, had made more progress than I’ve ever made when it comes to putting on muscle. I attribute a shift in my relationship with weight training to the experience I’ve had with Alina and I could not recommend her any more. Absolutely worth every penny!

When I started, I definitely wouldn’t have self identified as “an athlete” but, working with Alina I’ve gained so much confidence at the gym and in my own abilities. Alina is so detail oriented, gives me the best cues so that I can understand how to adjust my positioning, and has taken me from someone who has consistent low back pain and many old sports injuries to a consistent, pain free, badass weightlifting athlete despite an ankle and hand injury (2 injuries 6 months apart!) I got halfway through the year+ I’ve been working with her! She adjusted all the exercises to whatever mobility my ankle and hand was capable of, and anytime I want more or less HIIT/mobility/etc she is quick to adjust our plan. I finally feel like the athlete I’ve always wanted to be, sprinting is easy, and I feel like I can do anything. Alina still knows how to humble me though too, and keep me wanting to come back to master new skills and moves!!
I have never had a personal trainer before Alina, but she pays close attention to you with laser focus, is so encouraging, and is such a genuine inspiration because she is such a great athlete herself. She is able to talk to me about any struggles I am having with my fitness journey and genuinely cares about and invests in me getting better every day.
