Erik is great. He trained me for around 4 years. I ended up moving out of the area, but use a lot of the concepts I learned to train today.
Easy conversation, not pretentious or dogmatic in his approach with clients . Edge just gets you stronger and healthier. Would recommend entirely for any fitness levels

Working out with Erik has been awesome. I've been lifting and exercising for over 20years, but after labrum surgery and various leg injuries I was struggling to progress on my own without re-injuring myself. He developed weight resistance and aerobic routines I could do at home with my limited equipment, and feel no restrictions anymore to meeting my fitness goals. I got a 5 session package that paid for itself and over with canceling my gym membership, and in better health since I am able to stick to my 30min routine at home instead of traveling to a gym.
Erik knows his stuff and able to create a personalized routine for your situation, especially accommodating injuries or liabilities. If your serious about improving your health/workout you won't be disappointed.

Erik has trained me since I moved to Seattle in 2015, and I keep going back for more... so he must be doing something right.
After the initial consultation, he set up a program tailored to my needs (staying fit for old man soccer!) and he has kept the training varied and interesting over time. He has also been able to incorporate specific routines to help me recover from occasional soccer injuries.
The new studio is a nice, bright, open space and Erik keeps the equipment in good shape. He's very easy to work with overall, and has no problem working around my frequent reschedules due to work travel.
I definitely recommend EDGE and Erik if you're looking for a trainer in the area.

I've been training with Erik for over three years. In that time he's helped me create a sport specific workout (sailing), helped me recover from injury, and I'm now in the best shape of my life. His new facility is great and very conveniently located here in Ballard. Get on his schedule, tell him what you want to accomplish, do the work and you will see results. He can tell you as much or as little as you want to know about the science of working out. I do downgrade him for his failure to put in a juice bar onsite...just kidding...I don't go to the gym to drink juice so I'd rather he spend his money elsewhere. I highly recommend you try a consult workout with him!

I came to Amanda because not only did I want to lose weight, I needed help in learning how to eat better. It wasn't that I was eating too much, but I was eating not enough and crappy things when I did eat. Since starting her program about 6 weeks ago, I have lost 18 pounds and more than 15 inches. I now weigh something I haven't seen in at least 5 years. I do her boot camp twice a week, which I plan on doing three times a week. She's understanding, compassionate, and easy to work with...stressing what needs to be done but not punishing you if you screw up, which I haven't cause I don't want to. I couldn't have done it without you Amanda...you rock!

I have been training with Erik for the past few months. I would highly recommend this business to anyone. He works with you as much or as little time as you want and will make sure he understands your specific goals to help you reach them. He has also offered on several occasions to be available through email for any questions that arise. This is NOT one of those places that tries to rip you off by suggesting expensive protein shakes etc. They are there to help you understand how to safely and effectively work out. The facilities are clean and private, prices are reasonable and schedules are flexible. Employees are personable and professional and your work out flies right by!
