I absolutely love this gym! Mike and his team have gone out of their way to create an exceptional space for folks to work out in and hit their goals. I'm not the best at sticking to a consistent workout schedule but the accountability, help, and advice everyone provides has kept me on track and motivated longer than ever. You won't find a group of friendlier and helpful trainers anywhere else!

I absolutely love this gym. It’s small and personal in the best way, the coaches become your friends and care about your progress in a holistic way, they adapt workouts to your injuries or pre-existing conditions, ask you how you’re feeling, how you slept, and adjust accordingly.. Every session feels like I’m being taken care of and their pre workout stretches make a HUGE difference to your performance during the session. it’s the only experience I’ve had where Ive gone nonstop and haven’t needed a break because I injured myself. I literally just show up, turn my brain off, and trust the process because they already have a program ready that’s tailored to me and evolves as I get stronger. The community is incredible, supportive, fun, and motivating, the vibes are immaculate and the trainers make sure of it!! It’s one of those rare places where you actually want to show up.

Approached these folks for programming to rehab some injuries and improve my athletic performance (rugby). So far they've been great, providing support and rehab through new injuries and programming personalized, sport specific training. You'll see everyone from kids to professional athletes, weekend warriors to older adults here, but you'll still get individualized attention. Always great attitudes and a supportive environment.

I signed up for remote programming looking for structure and accountability, and I got that—and much more. From day one he asked the right questions about goals, schedule, and past injuries, then built a plan that actually fit my life. The workouts are clear and purposeful, with smart progressions and built-in mobility so I feel better session to session. What truly stands out is Zach’s feedback: quick checks, concise notes, and timely adjustments whenever travel or a busy week pops up. In a few months I’ve gained strength, improved conditioning, and—most importantly—built consistency. I’m training, hitting new numbers, and not guessing what to do when I walk into the gym. The group training program these guys run is excellent. They create a custom-tailored workout to suit your goals, and you are coached through the workout in a group of people of all abilities and ages. They'll work around injuries, physical therapy, or any other specific needs. As an example: if you are traveling and can't get into their facility, they will still set up programming for you with whatever you have on the road.
This is no a cookie cutter bootcamp program. They give you the same level of coaching as a high end personal trainer, but at a really competitive price. Just don't expect to slack off!

I’m a 50 year old woman who doesn’t love working out but know it’s a must as we age. I have worked remotely with Mike and Craig since 2020. I live in California, but keep coming back to Ekstasis because of the total body focus. The warm ups and stretching are key to helping my body stay injury free. They have helped me through lower back and hip issues, shifting my workouts to keep me moving. They work with you at your level, with whatever equipment you have on hand at home (and can recommend good options), and slowly build strength instead of my experience with other trainers who work you hard so you can’t walk for a week. You get your moneys worth here. I can’t recommend them enough.

I was shown Ekstasis by my partner and was warmly greeted by Mike and shown around. I didn't take the plunge then, but later on decided to take Mike up on his offer to check out the gym and I was on the elliptical watching my partner go through the routine. What sold me was the warmth, kindness, positivity, and everyone of different body shapes, sizes, and athletic level working hard. The coaches are excited to see your progress, it is tailored towards where you are at now, and pushes you enough to feel the work out, but leaves you way more refreshed coming out. I am seeing results at barely two months in, and I feel better in my body. If I have an injury or flare up of my condition, they work around it safely.
I appreciate the small groups where you get introduced to everyone and can have small chats. The coaches are extremely knowledgeable and make working out fun! Each week is a different routine, and it has become something I look forward to doing.

UPDATED REVIEW: I have now been attending Ekstasis for 2.5 years and I'm obsessed. I have been a member of many types of gyms (including Crossfit and other small group formats) and have never experienced the level of coaching excellence and attention to detail that I have here.
2 summers ago, I had a grade 2 sprain of my MCL and a root tear of the meniscus in my knee. Ekstasis modified all my workouts to rehab the injury while maintaining as much fitness as possible. I was able to complete a multi-day hike through the Swiss Alps just 8 weeks later with no issues.
Besides all that good stuff, I tell everyone it's a "Princess Gym." They take care of all the programming, weight setup, cleanup, etc. All I have to do is show up and do the workout. There's truly nothing like it.

After reading Outlive - and just generally not living under a rock - I decided to shift my workout routine from mostly cardio to strength training. I reached out to several personal trainers, and Mike was the first to respond which I personally value. I have been working out with Mike and his team since September and I regret not coming sooner. If you're thinking about building strength which all of us should, you probably need a coach—mainly so you don’t hurt yourself. With Mike, you get a personalized plan based on your goals, coaches who actually support and motivate you—and it’s more affordable than traditional personal training.

This review is long overdue, but would be wrong of me not to share my passion for the team at Ekstasis. I've been going to Ekstasis for almost 1yr now and truly couldn't see a world without it! I contacted Mike when I was looking to make a switch to a more flexible personal training format. Being a working mom it was tough to be set to a day and time each week, which my previous trainer required, and I was struggling to find my groove.

I love that I can sign up for a PT session the same week based on my schedule - some weeks that's Monday afternoons, others it's Tuesday, etc. - Ekstasis provides clients with the freedom to book when it's convenient for you -- Ekstasis is a gym that prioritizes their clients needs over their business operations -- a refreshing (and rare) experience! The trainers customize a workout that is tailored to YOUR needs (ah, there we go again ... do you sense a pattern here...) and that aligns with your health and fitness goals.
Now, for the trainers, they are exceptional. Not just in their knowledge in this space (trainers are required to obtain their CSCS, which less than 1% of the industry holds), but also their personable and welcoming nature. This isn't one of those drag your feet through the front door because you're dreading your workout; This is one of those "Hey Emily!!! Welcome! Thanks for being here!" while a trainer walks up to give you a fist bump.
These little gestures go a long way and Ekstasis just does it right -- plain and simple.

Mike and all the coaches are very flexible, encouraging, and fun to workout with. The programing is excellent and they are very supportive of exchanging exercises during the workout should something hurt or feel off. For me it's worth being the most important item on my budget after rent and bills. You won't be disappointed!

This review is long overdue. I've been going to Ekstasis for over a year and it has been one of the best experiences in a personal training environment I have ever had. Each training session has been carefully constructed for each individual. The attentiveness of the coaches is always top notch. They know you by name from the minute you join on the first day and they treat you with total respect and genuine concern for your wellbeing. There is a sense of family in this gym, and each week I look forward to seeing the familiar faces of the coaches, as well as the clients. I typically lack motivation to make myself do the workouts on my own but having this appointment each week is something I look forward to and it helps me feel supported in my training goals. The gym is clean, has two restrooms with showers and plenty of parking. I could not have asked for a better facility to help me get back to a regular routine of strength training. Thank you, Ekstasis staff! It's been a game changer and I will continue being here with a smile on my face!

Can't say enough good things about the team at Ekstasis. Having never lifted weights before, I was nervous and felt intimidated but the team has made me feel so confident, supported and comfortable in the gym. The trainers are all highly qualified and their highest concern is my safety and progress. They work closely with my physical therapist and customize the training session to my individual needs. There are several trainers in each session and it feels like personal training in a community setting. I also get home programming when I'm not in the gym. The team goes out of their way to introduce members to one another and build community connections. I've been attending sessions at the gym for a month and already notice positive changes in my body. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a dynamic workout in a supportive setting with results!

1. The People: The owner Mike, his knowledgeable and attentive trainers, and all the gym clients who work out there are fantastic. You won’t find a more positive community of people!!
2. Results: The workouts are tailored to each member & their personal goals, with no pressure or judgement. It is truly personal training and it’s well worth the investment in your health, fitness and wellbeing.
3. Attention to Detail: The trainers are very careful, and though they push their clients to work hard & believe in themselves, they are a safety first kind of place. It’s all about the details…they keep the gym & equipment clean (keeping people with their own mats) and clients also work out at a safe distance apart.
4. The Music: Good, eclectic music is the key to a great workout if you ask me! They have this covered with a nice mix. They change up the vibe often, so you are never bored.

This place is amazing and is not your cookie cutter training place. The coaches/trainers are amazing and they individualize every work-out to meet your needs and goals. I've been working out with Mike and team for nearly 10 years. Through numerous injuries and just getting older. My workout routine has adjusted to accommodate where I am in that week.
Great place for kids and teenagers to learn how to work out properly and not over do it. Same with ex-athletes who see more desk work than sunlight.

I have been working out at Ekstasis for over 2 years in their personalized small group training sessions, and it’s been a great fit for me.
The staff are super friendly, attentive, knowledgeable, and push me to appropriate limits. Other regulars are both supportive and driven, and I look forward to working out with them.
I’ve had a couple knee surgeries in the last year, and the staff coordinate with my physical therapist to customize my sessions to best support my knee pre- and post-operatively.
It may be more expensive than a typical gym membership or working out from home, but considering the personalization and coordination with my PT (and my lack of discipline with cheaper options), Ekstasis is well worth it for me.

I love this gym! The staff is deeply knowledgeable and fun. They go out of their way to introduce everyone to each other so it really feels like a community. They always check in on pain or weakness and give me exercises tailored to my needs. I've been working with them for two years and am so pleased with the results. I'm a triathlete and marathoner and thought my best fitness days were behind me, but I was wrong! I just ran my fastest marathon in 15 years and qualified for Boston. I feel strong and am grateful to have stayed injury free since I started working with Ekstasis.

I'd definitely recommend Ekstasis Strength and Conditioning. Mike and Zach are great and the vibes in the gym are really welcoming. When I've gone there's usually been 2-3 trainers working with 3-6 people and I've really liked that format. You still get a lot of attention from the trainers but its more affordable than 1 on 1 personal training. Mike and Zach have also been very helpful both with helping program my workout schedule outside the gym, and helping adapt both my form and exercises to some minor injuries and aches I've been dealing with.

Working out at Ekstasis is a microcosm of the movie “Dodgeball”. For example, at the end of the movie, Vince Vaughn’s character comes on screen as a commercial for his “Average Joe’s” gym and says “I'm here to tell you, you're perfect the way you are. But if you feel like losing a few pounds, eating healthier and making a few friends in the process, then [Ekstasis] is the place for you.” And that’s the type of welcoming environment that Mike and Zach help cultivate, and makes this the right gym for my wife and I.
But here’s the thing, they can also channel “Average Joe’s” foil, the infamous Globo Gym. If you’re an athlete, of which there are many that train at Ekstasis, they’ll also give you the tools to push yourself to the limit and squeeze that much more out of your performance.
And beyond that, if you’re a high school athlete that’s younger than the movie Dodgeball (released 2004), they have training regimen designed for you as well!

I hate working out and I love this place. They have a unique model. Even though they have small four-person "classes," they're actually guiding you through your own program that they wrote just for you, just for that day. Mike told me that they spend five hours a day just creating programs for each person's next session, and I believe it. I'm always doing something entirely different than the person next to me, and it's always building on what I did last time. Also, because the sessions are so small, Mike and Zach are always able to watch to make sure you're doing the exercises correctly and safely. That attention to detail, along with their knowledge of physiology, distinguish this place from the copycat personal gyms that just make people mindlessly go harder and heavier. I have bad knees and back, so I want to bulk up without hurting myself. Thanks to the stretching routine and tailored programs, I'm doing that here, and their positivity keeps me coming back. These guys are excited for your success whether your personal best is 15 lbs or 500. If you cross the bar Cheers with the best personal trainer you can imagine, that's Ekstasis.
