Was sampling yoga studios around Tacoma. This place is gonna be it for me. Not crowded. Great Instruction. Very peaceful, very chill. Aesthetically pleasing decor. Welcoming. Did the newcomer deal 2 weeks for set price. Google maps does not route correctly to address. Arrive early, if first time for logistics.

The class was expensive ($25), but flow was decent!
The instructor just played music out of her phone speakers and the playlist was not curated super well (high bpm song during shavasana).
I still enjoyed the class and the flow was good, just a bit pricey.

Great space, beautiful neighborhood. The instructors are knowledgeable, kind, and helpful. Such a great studio, I go several times a week. Jenny's Sweaty Swifties class was super fun! The current art exhibit is pretty awesome too.

I loved this class. The space felt cozy with good wood floors, beautiful custom paintings on the walls and soft, diffuse lighting. The teacher (and painter!), Tessa, was really welcoming, and guided our class of 4 through most of the primary series at a relaxed yet steady pace.
The cork mat I borrowed (thank you!) was a little slipperier than my usual mat. I got used to it quickly, but I wish I'd brought my foam mat.

If you’ve had a day or week full of challenges, you should consider joining this outdoor yoga class. Being out in the elements and hearing the birds, the smell of the water and the rustling of leaves.. kids laughing and a little calming music then I highly recommend this outdoor yoga class. It’s very grounding and you’ll leave feeling better than when you got there. The instructor Jessica was pleasant and very in tune with students. After class, you can try the portable sauna which is offered at a discount for new students. Afterward you could opt for a cold plunge to help release all that tension and to help with recovery. Outdoor class is at Owen’s beach in Tacoma. Be aware the park is currently under construction so leave your house early as there is a detour to get into the park. I’ve been looking for outdoor yoga classes and I’m glad I’ve finally found one.

Door was locked and I waited outside to get into class and was not let in for a long time, the instructor stating “I didn’t look like I was here to do yoga..” whatever that is supposed to mean :/ I was wearing workout shorts and a t-shirt. class was average, couldn’t shake off the bad feeling I got from the beginning. Definitely won’t return.

Community yoga has become a weekly routine for me, and what an incredible place to do it in! The space is incredibly beautiful and calming, with stunning local art, amient lighting and AC when needed. Gretchen's practice on sundays is so mindful, meditative and restorative, full of somatic awareness, self compassion, while still delivering both a calming experience that is still challenging and leaves me feeling stronger mentally and physically. I can't imagine starting my week without it, so grateful to have found such a special place.

This was only my second time at Elu but it was great! The instructor, sarah, was subbing but I loved the flow and energy. The space is great and it's nearby coffee... great treat for afterwards

The instructor Gretchen was super welcoming, the ambience was comfortable and cozy. I am sore already from just one class. I came back for a second day and Kelsey was awesome. I’ll be joining this studio for sure.

I can’t say enough wonderful things about Nina and Elu Yoga. Nina’s presence is so warm and grounding — she creates a space that feels safe, supportive, and deeply nourishing. Her teaching style blends mindfulness, intentional movement, and gentle encouragement, making her classes accessible yet beautifully impactful.
What I appreciate most is how Nina holds space for each individual’s unique journey. Whether you’re stepping onto your mat for the first time or deepening an established practice, she meets you where you are with kindness and wisdom. Her ability to guide you inward while fostering strength and balance is truly special.

I had a great class at noon with Jenny. Found parking really easily and it was a really lovely experience. People were very nice and friendly.
It’s a very clean pretty studio, they have these cool orbs around, a mural, and art on the walls. A great addition to the neighborhood!
