Went here for a free intro class with one of my friends and it was so much fun! The instructor was great and the space was pleasant (albeit a bit crowded..). I could definitely see myself signing up for regular classes if it wasn’t for one major issue: the fabric/ sling was STINKY - like armpit and foot sweat. When I first started it was also damp. I felt like I was cocooned inside of someone else’s sweaty gym shoe, and the smell clung to my clothes even after I left. My friend experienced the same thing and we couldn’t wait to get home and shower.
I think this place has a great concept and potential, but they need to find a solution to the stench!

Zen flight on Monday nights with Annette is my favorite way to start the week! She’s such a gem of an instructor - great at guiding you and keeps the vibe of the class so calm and peaceful. If you’re looking for a restorative yoga flow or a meditation session to start your week off right, go to her class!

Flight Room has absolutely changed my life. I started out as a COMPLETE novice, with no fitness practice whatsoever, and now I've found a community that supports me, passionate teachers who push and encourage me, and a space that feels safe and welcoming. I'm so grateful for these studios, and these teachers. I cannot recommend Flight Room highly enough.

I had my 40th birthday party with my girls at this location. After the party, I got a week-long unlimited class pass, and after a few classes, I decided to add it to my routine. The instructors I met so far are all so friendly and helped me get familiar with the hammock: for the person who had zero experience, I felt confident about my ability after the first class. The studio is mostly clean, but occasionally you can smell sweat from the hammocks.

I took my first flight yoga class at their Queen Anne location and was pleasantly surprised to find a studio right in my own neighborhood at Green Lake. I’ve taken a few Level 1 classes and one Level 2, and I really love the atmosphere. The instructors bring great energy, offer helpful corrections, and create such a welcoming space that I never feel self-conscious even when I mess up. I’m definitely looking forward to taking more classes here!

Absolutely, a fun way to get a workout. Instructors are all knowledgeable and class size is usually less than 15 ppl, this makes it more personable. Yoga poses in a hammock!

I have never tried aerial yoga or workouts before, but it is so fun and the instructors here are very welcoming and knowledgeable! The studios are clean and nice, and I appreciate the free snacks :) I highly recommend a beginner class to get started, but even Level 1 classes are easy to follow as a complete newbie!

Such a unique and fun fitness experience. A little bit yoga and little bit circus. I really recommend everyone to try it out. There are 4 studios with a variety of class offerings. The greenlake and LQA locations are my favorite because they are single point silks (more dancy and circus). Ballard and central district are double point (more fitnessy and stable). Alexandra, Theresa, and Annette are stand out instructors for me.

I took a beginner aerial yoga class and felt that it wasn't really beginner friendly at all. The instructor gave me zero help during class and there were no good modifications for more difficult moves besides "just hang out or take a break". Even though it was clear that I was struggling, I don't feel that I was supported.

I wanted to leave after half the class but stuck it out. I ended up pulling my leg during one of the maneuvers, though, so I kind of wish I just left earlier.

I also got kicked in the face because the hammocks were so close that the girl next to me kicked me when she was doing an inversion. I will not be coming back to this studio.

During a business trip to Seattle a few months ago, I had the opportunity to attend several aerial yoga sessions at this studio, and it was an outstanding experience. The atmosphere was welcoming, and the instruction was top-notch. I highly recommend this studio to anyone looking for a high-quality aerial yoga practice.

I loved my first beginner flight class at Flight Room. Jamielyn was fantastic. Her cueing is excellent, so clear and helpful. It was a perfect introduction to flight. I even took a level 2 class right after and felt well prepared. I’m in love with aerial yoga! 😍🫶🏽🙏🏽 It was so much fun: a perfect blend of yoga, stretching, flexibility, balancing work, core work, and most importantly play and fun. I loved hanging in the hammock, it’s like a cocoon. I think I can just hang in there for an hour straight. 😁

Wow! I celebrated my 40th birthday at a private party at Flight Room Green Lake with a handful of my best friends and it was an AMAZING evening! We had so much fun, pushed ourselves, and tried something completely new for all of us. I cannot give enough praise to our instructor Theresa - she helped us all feel safe, empowered, and proud of our strong and beautiful 40 year old bodies. As a bonus she curated the perfect playlist just for us. The owner Jen made scheduling easy and answered all my questions promptly via email. Easily a 5 star experience, THANK YOU!!!!

Unclear trial membership cancellation policies and unprofessional instructor?
They provide low priced 2 week membership, but auto renews after the 2 weeks. The cancellation policy is hidden in the contract that requires 3 day advance notice for cancellation. I went for 2 classes, and it was a mix of different exercises and barely any aerial yoga. The barre class was very disappointing as the instructed exercises were unclear and painful. The space was crowded that went inside the hammock people would lose balance and bump into me pretty hard for several times. Would not recommend. Go to somewhere else where treats safety more seriously and hires professionals instructors + better planning

I love this studio. Everyone is super warm and welcoming. It's always a super chill, fun vibe. I went in not having ever tried any aerial anything and I've always felt at ease, supported and even cheerleaded by the more advanced students, when I was learning something that was new.

The yoga focused classes are great, if you want to up your yoga game and find your Zen in an elevated fashion (puns absolutely intended). I always feel better when starting my day with a Flow Yoga class led by Renee or Kate and their warm, grounded energy or when ending the day with Helena's lullaby of a Zen class.

I find the strength building and cardio classes WAY MORE FUN than lifting weights or running on the treadmill at the gym. And if you take one of those classes with Alexandra or Grace, you'll be so entertained that you won't even realize they got you to do an ungodly amount of pull-ups, until you feel that sweet burn on your way home.

If you're looking for a new, fun way to find that mind-body connection, build more strength or up your cardio game, this is the place.

I cannot say enough positive things about Flight Room. Coming to classes has been an incredible workout and hobby experience for me. All of the instructors and students are incredibly supportive and I have built an amazing community by taking classes here. My only complaint is that I would love if more advanced play classes were offered, but there are still plenty of options throughout the week.

I was initially hesitant to check out Flight Room since I didn't think I was coordinated / athletic / flexible enough to do aerial yoga, but I enjoyed my experience so much that I've now been a member for over 2 years!

Although I've had to go at a relatively slow pace based on my own abilities and comfort level, the instructors (and fellow students) are so encouraging and supportive, and the classes have all been so much fun. Whether you are looking for a chill yoga class to give you a deeper stretch (hanging upside down is excellent decompression for your back!) or a challenging play class to master some amazing aerial tricks, you will never get bored; there is so much to learn and do!

I absolutely LOVE Flight Room! The Green Lake location is my favorite because it is super easy for me to get to, but I love that there are 4 options around the city! Every single class instructor has been incredible and I have never been to a class where I didn’t feel welcomed and accepted by instructors as well as other students! I love the wide variety of classes offered so I never get bored :)

Love taking classes here, the space is very clean and cozy, and its the one Flight Room studio with single point hammocks so you can practice spins in the air. Only take a star off because the bathroom is in the back of the building and requires a key to get to, but the studio has slippers to offer sanitary access to the bathroom and get.

Fight Room in Green Lake is so much fun! I haven't paid for a gym membership in over 7 years, but got a gift card for my birthday and now I'm hooked. There is a good mix of more fitness-based and aerial-based classes and all of the teachers are great. I go to the studio almost every day and it's the best part of my day! Highly recommend.

I’ve been taking classes at Flight Room for a year now and simply put, it’s become one of my favorite places to be and communities to be a part of. They offer a wide variety of classes which is nice so you can get a feel for the different kinds of experiences you can have in the hammock which, I feel, makes it easy to cater to what my body craves or needs that day; whether it be a fit workout, a fun play/dance class or a relaxing flow class, they have it and you can’t go wrong with any of the instructors. Regardless of the class I take I know for certain I’ll leave feeling lighter, happier, more grounded and overall just better.

Love this place! I’ve been taking classes here for just over 2 years now and enjoy it. I am plus size and have SI joint disfunction and have found that while progress was/is naturally slower for me, many of the teachers have been great at offering tips and modifications to help me be successful and participate in class. Coming here regularly has helped reduce my pain and increased my quality of life significantly. The teachers are nice and each studio has its own vibe but all are inviting and relaxing.

Besides their regular weekly classes, they also run short-term “series” classes with special topics (like dance, intro to play, handstands), photoshoots, 1:1 private sessions where you can bring up to 2 friends for free, and retreats in other countries.

I definitely recommend giving it a try!

Did 3 classes trial and here's my review.

The classes were definitely fun. There's active/fit class, flexibility focused, relaxation focused classes. Every instructor had different types of teaching. However, the cloth smells A LOT. I'm not sure how frequent they clean or wash, but everytime I visited between 6 - 8pm classes, it smelled like other people's sweat and BO.

I would give 5 stars for class activities but i took 2 points down because I stopped enjoying class due to the smell of the cloth and made me want to not sign up for it. Additionally, parking it hard to find as it's street parking. If you are doing 3 classes $45, please be aware that once the trial ends up, it automatically signs you up for membership :) .

Love the bright, airy feel at this studio with the high ceilings and natural light. Brought my mom here for a private session - Helena did a great job leading my mom through beginner sequences while also letting me show off what I’ve learned in a year of practicing. Such a fun experience for both of us!

Great teachers and classes.
The space is kinda cramped. I prefer the studio in Hiawatha, but I don't live in that area anymore.
Parking in this area is much easier than Hiawatha, imo. (I tend to go to classes that start at 5pm or 6:15pm)

My first class was the Aerial Essentials Free Intro Class with Monica and it was great! I've been wanting to try aerial yoga for years now, but just finally got around to it. I was a bit nervous starting out but Monica was attentive and skilled at leading the class with various skill levels. I really enjoyed testing out my comfort level and can't wait to come back to develop my skills while working on my physical health too. Please have more weekday morning classes for beginners! :) Additional pros: The studio was clean and airy. Cons: I wish parking was easier! But this is not the Flight Room's fault. I also wish the wipes were handed out along with a glove or at least use more gentle/eco options as I can have a sensitive reaction to the harsh Clorox/generic Clorox wipes.

Absolutely adore Flight Room! I usually go to the Ballard location but I frequent the Green Lake one as well. All the instructors I've gone to are welcoming and make you feel totally comfortable no matter what level you are (just make sure you pick an appropriate class type for your level - mostly for your own enjoyment!). I usually seek out Alexandra's classes, but absolutely suggest trying any out!

The hammocks are not washed after each use and are very stinky and gross. We then were given a wipe at the end for our mats, they are toxic disinfecting wipes that should be used with gloves. They are the Amazon Basics one. Terrible smelling and poisonous chemicals on my hand.
The best part, other than the horrid smell was laying in the hammock with essential oils. Other than that, if you’re squeamish either bring your own hammock and wipes or just don’t go.

The teachers are all fun and amazing. The hammocks could be a bit further spaced from one another since it’s really not nice when my head bump into someone’s feet during practice. Sometimes the room has an unpleasant smell and some hammocks smell really bad.

The teachers at Flight Room are so wonderful, and really make an effort to answer questions and meet me where I am. With such a wide range of classes, there are different types to try and it seems like something for everyone (meditative sound baths, yoga, fitness workouts, and playful aerial classes). I really like the intentionality of the staff, and mindful atmosphere, really gorgeous decorations at their locations, and encouragement for healthy challenge. Flight Room also offers travel opportunities with their retreats, and workshop series' as well. In my experience, Flight Room staff respond right away to emails, and have had so much flexibility with me in supporting my teacher training and personal growth.

I love Flight Room! I started with a 10 class pack during one of their promos and now am an annual member wrapping up my first year of aerial yoga in a couple of weeks. The classes are so fun and made for people of various skill levels, the teachers are great (and sometimes hilarious), and I am thrilled to be able to do things that I didn’t think I’d ever be able to do —especially less than a year in. I used to struggle to find time or motivation to keep up with stretching and mobility work for myself. I do other sports, so those are pretty helpful for injury prevention, and these classes are so much fun that I really look forward to them. I’m excited to see what I can do in another year!

I’ve been attending classes for a while now at all 3 studios and they’re extremely fun! The teachers are all great at flight room, they have a variety of different ways to incorporate the hammock into your practice, but the best thing in my opinion is the sense of community at Flight Room, especially in the Play classes. Everyone is just enjoying playing around in the fabric and helping each other through sequences. Would highly recommend anyone try this out to spice up your workouts.

Love the studio!
I’ve been wanted to try aerial yoga for a while and so glad they opened in Greenlake!
Not only they teach regular aerial classes - which is great for core strength as is - they also have different types of classes such as FIT, Barre, and aerial dance. Love all the classes as the instructors are very professional, knowledgeable, and friendly!
You will enjoy hanging by the ropes and spinning, and realize one hour went by so quick and gained strength. Just so many fun classes and I’m addicted.
I definitely would recommend to any gender or age to drop in and try. Won’t regret!

I've been taking classes with Flight Room for a couple of years, and just started going to their new Green Lake location. The space is full of light, airy and an excellent complement to aerial yoga. The instructors, as I've come to expect, are top notch - welcoming, supportive, and with a wide repertoire of exercises and movements. The classes are engaging, challenging, fun, and can be done by all fitness levels. Whether you're just starting out and a bit scared about flipping upside down, or you've been doing this type of exercise for years, the Green Lake location is a great place to "hang out".

Very cool experience! I recommend everyone giving this a shot.. even if you find that it’s not for you, I think you will likely find that it’s totally worth trying and still a good workout. Everyone who works there rocks too. All of the teachers bring a different style/personality to their class, but they’re all different in GREAT ways. Keep up the good work 👏 and special shout-out to Alexandra Sipe! I don’t think I’ve had the privilege of taking one of her classes yet, but she wears the admin hat as well and has been dealing with my incessant emails like a champ, thank you girl!!
