About the Club

Flood Yoga is a Seattle yoga studio located in Ballard, offering classes, workshops, and memberships. With an emphasis on slow flow yoga, breath work, and restorative and meditative techniques, we provide an intentional alternative to fast-paced, fitness-first styles of yoga.

Rooted in mindfulness and community, our studio is a sanctuary for both seasoned practitioners and newcomers. Through thoughtful yoga practices, meditation, and wellness rituals, Flood Yoga helps students pause, reset, and connect.

Born from this sanctuary, we also created FloodedWith—ritual candles and incense that extend the practice of mindfulness into daily life.

We’re proud to be a neighborhood destination for slow living and intentional movement in Seattle.

I think I found my place :) I'm Mexican and I was looking for a place where yoga was more meditative and restorative for my mental health, and I found it. So cozy and intimate. I'm very grateful.

The studio has such a comforting, peaceful vibe to it and always smells so cozy (it’s the candles). Not only do they host yoga sessions that are undoubtedly healing and diving, but they also sell hand poured candles, made by the shop owner! I’m obsessed to say the least. I’ve always had my expectations exceeded for these candles- and who doesn’t love supporting small local businesses?

Cutest, calmest yoga studio.

This place is such a vibe. It’s cozy, peaceful, and feels like a mini escape from real life. All the instructors are amazing — super grounding and welcoming.

Most studios in the area are hot yoga or super intense, but this one is different. It’s gentle, calming, and lets you move at your own pace. You’re not there to crush a workout — you’re there to breathe, stretch, and reset. My fave class is Gentle Yoga on Fridays at noon — total midweek therapy.

They’ve got mats if you need one and all the props (blocks, bolsters, meditation cushions, straps). I always leave feeling clear, calm, and centered

Highly recommend if you need a break from the chaos.

I was looking for a yoga studio that was more chill and not focused on fitness/hot-style practices and I found it with Flood! Sarah was an amazing instructor in my 1st class! So calm and great at offering a yoga experience that I really needed to ground myself. Can't wait to come back!

We were visiting Seattle and wanted to find a local studio to celebrate my sister’s birthday. We had an amazing class with the owner, Kate. Her gentle flow before the farmers market was the perfect way to start the day.
10/10 would go back. Kate was so kind and went the extra mile for my sister’s birthday.

Flood is one of my favorite places to practice yoga in Seattle. I appreciate the owner, Kate, and her gentle and inclusive approach - it's so needed. In what feels like a sea of heated power yoga classes that tend to focus on intense flows and "advanced" postures that aren't accessible to everyone, Flood is a breath of fresh air. It's cozy and welcoming, and the small classes really make it possible to connect with others in the space as well as find a little peace and quiet. If you are craving a gentle, kind and inclusive yoga space and community, please come check out Flood!

I’ve taken several Flood yoga classes and my experience has always been wonderful. I love that they lead restorative and zen based yoga that leaves my body feeling both rested and more resilient. The studio is charming and cozy, with soothing scents that come from homemade candles - I always look forward to this part ☺️

Moreover, the first class I was really nervous since it was my first yoga class & I have chronic pain, but Kate, the owner, welcomed me with such warmth and care, and gave me personal attention regarding modification of poses that doesn’t strain my shoulders. After several weeks I returned and she remembered me, as well as my condition! Thank you Kate ☺️ and I’m so glad to have this space in Ballard

I am just getting back into taking care of myself and always feel a little trepidation going to a studio. Ok will be hard to keep Flood Yoga a secret. Flood Yoga is a calm refuge to take a breath and find your center again. The curated classes are thoughtfully designed and it's what I was looking for ~ but could not find. I am looking forward to the special events/classes offered as the seasons change. The lighting, scent
temperature, and sound is unique for a studio! The location is in charming ballard - plenty of parking nearby. Thank you Kate for creating this beautiful studio and place of beauty. ♥️

Loving Flood SO MUCH! I was looking for yoga classes that would help me strengthen and stretch my muscles after a long time of not working out. But I didn’t want an intense and fast-paced experience where I’d try too hard and hurt myself! Flood Yoga has been an oasis for me. My husband and I go together and always leave feeling fantastic. All of the instructors are kind and knowledgeable. I’m beyond grateful to the owner Kate for starting this woman-owned small business. Not only is the studio beautiful, Kate makes candles that will soothe the soul and there are other retail products you’ll love. Thanks Kate!

I just received my first (of what will be many) orders from Flood, of candles (Flooded with warmth). The scent is perfect for any time of year, but especially autumn and winter. I intended to have at least one be a gift but I want to keep them all so my second order is coming up quick. It was packaged and shipped carefully and the aesthetic was inviting and special. The combo of scents is interesting and unique. You can’t get quality candles a like this just anywhere. It’ll make a special gift and make the long Wisconsin winters warmer. Highly recommend.

Such a comforting space with the best smelling candles and great instructors who will help you completely reset each class - the Savasana at the end is so peaceful I have found myself starting to doze off. Highly recommended for slower, gentler & relaxing flows.

I was granted the pleasure of discovering flood yoga’s candles and incense during a week of making music in Seattle, and the scents are extraordinary. They will change the aura of any room with a crisp, comfortable aroma that brings a feeling of nostalgia and bliss that only a sunny autumn day in the Pacific Northwest can offer. I couldn’t imagine a day without the fragrance after having it in my life. 10/10 ⭐️

Beautiful and intimate space with amazing curated retail and the best smelling candles, incense & (my favorite) palo santos. Super cozy with all the props you’ll ever need for class. Thank you SO much for creating the best new yoga studio in the city!! (This was very much needed since it’s NOT a heated studio 🙏🏻❤️) 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

I was extremely impressed by the space and energy at Flood from the moment I walked inside. The ambience of lighting, specialty candles, and calming music is top tier for yoga studios in Seattle. As a 500hr certified yoga instructor myself I can personally say that the instructor was knowledgable and exceptional at offering options for the varying people in the Slow-Flow class. It isn't often that a teacher has such ability to uniquely accommodate every student in class, Kate our instructor, did this with ease. I will absolutely be back to Flood in the future. Supporting a small, women owned businesses, has a much larger impact on our community so skip the corporate studio and come to Flood where you will actually be supported and taken care of throughout your practice.

Gorgeous space and amazing staff. Popped in on a Saturday while visiting from Denver to pick up candles and incense. Came back the next evening for a yin yoga session with Kate, the owner, plus an incredible sound bath. Just beautiful energy all around. Will be back next time we are in town! 🖤✨

This was my first time in my life ever participating in a yoga class (Slow Flow 60 with Kate). I found it very easy to follow, with assists and helpful advice when needed. The space is comfortable, clean, aesthetically pleasing, and a nice size for those of us who don't feel at home in a huge studio with dozens and dozens of people.

This is a must stop! I walked by for a week and smelled this amazing scent coming through the door. I finally walked in and was surprised that it was a retail/ yoga studio. I got to meet the owner, her partner and their pup. They were amazing had a 15 minute conversation with them about Seattle and tons of things. Now to the products. I am a scent snob. Candles and incense lit daily. Flood’s Stillness candle and incense are top tier. Competing with Boys Smells, Byredo and diptique. Can’t wait to try the others and oh take a damn yoga class. Props to this place for real!

Flood is wonderful! I’m so glad to have found a welcoming, inclusive, cozy, and possibly best of all, unheated, yoga studio in Seattle. The space is so cozy and chic and the owner and instructors are so warm, approachable, and kind. I’ve taken both their Gentle Flow and Slow Flow classes and I can’t wait for my next class! Go check them out, the class size is small which makes for a very intimate experience and they have such a wonderful collection of goods for sale. Thank you, Flood Yoga, especially Kate and Dakota, and I can’t wait to watch this community continue to grow!
