Working with Summer and her Steel Mace Vinyasa method has been truly transformative! I completed the Flow Coach Accelerator program; Summer is a savvy business coach and her business model and strategy systems are easy to follow and implement. I had never touched a steel mace prior to this program and ended up doing the 100 hour teacher training; the intelligent sequencing and comprehensive approach to training mobility and functional strength has transformed my teaching and ability to attract clients. I highly recommend working with Summer and the whole Flow Shala team - everyone is lovely!

I attended my first retreat with Summer and Mark in Richland WA this summer and truly left changed. It challenged me in ways that left me feeling empowered, inspired and restored. I honed in on old skills and learned new skills. I LOVED learning staff training. I was nervous that I may get hurt or that it'd be too intense but Summer and Mark held it down to keep us safe, and also challenged us to find our edges and to expand them. I will DEFINATLY be attending another retreat with them - there is truly nothing like it!

I attended the retreat in June 2025 with Summer and Mark and I can still tell the difference in my body and in my movement. It was SO empowering to be submerged in the warrior practice of movement for a purpose. I highly recommend these retreats to anyone serious about understanding the body and mind.

Rich and Regulated was the shift I needed. I learned to regulate my system and step fully into the CEO role of my functional movement coaching business as the Chief Emotional Officer. Summer expanded my thinking and helped me systemize every part of my work, from offers and client journey to content and calendar. Her teaching is clear and practical. She guides you step by step so you know exactly what to do next. I am grateful for the clarity and confidence I gained, and I cannot wait for you to access this tremendous value too.

Working with Summer was an absolutely incredibly experience. The goal was to build out intricate Kajabi funnels with behind the scenes selling and then create ad creatives to push cold traffic. Summer was my coach through the entire process. Her attention detail and creative eye are unmatched. She also introduced me to her designer Alise who created my website, Kajabi and the tech side of the design. The two of them together have been the best team and the project was worth every penny and more. ROI on the buildout was achieved long before we were done! Highly recommend Summer and Alise and happy to connect with anyone considering their work.

The Richland Retreat was awesome! This was the second retreat I’ve been to with Flow Shala and I will be going to their next one in Costa Rica. While the training during the event is intense, no one is forced or demeaned for not being able to keep up. I do pretty well with clubs and staff, but I struggle with mace vinyasa, even so I wasn’t pressured to do anything that I couldn’t do. If you are on the fence about going, don’t be, you will definitely get your money’s worth!

I learned so much that I am never going to forget- took away so many nuggets of connection, learning and play.

This 6-day training retreat has me thinking about my body in a whole new way and Ill have tons to keep refining back home.

I cant wait for the next one! Seriously one of the best experiences ever.

I took Summer's Level 1 & Level 2 SMV trainings & not only appreciate the education they provided around functional movement but how they expanded my professional scope as a Yoga Teacher Trainer & Movement Coach. It's been incredible to support my clients with this ancient tool for strength & embodiment, while also refreshing my personal yoga practice. I highly recommend SMV if you're looking to add load & functional strength training to your current yoga practice!

Not being dramatic when I say this seminar & steel mace vinyasa changed my life.

I honestly was nervous going into the seminar because I had a few longterm injuries from years of contact sports in my youth and I also didn’t have a consistent workout routine. However, from the online practices I took before the seminar, I knew I would be in good hands. Summer and Summer’s team of coaches are both knowledgeable and supportive when it comes to modifications and meeting you where you are. During the seminar I was able to reclaim strength lost from past injuries. Understand regressions needed and set the foundation for my strength & movement goals. The real life examples and case studies for working with special populations gave me confidence to write better plans for my clients. I especially enjoyed the opportunities throughout the seminar to collaborate with other professionals and movement nerds in the room, can you say unexpected leveling up? So much gratitude for Summer and the coaching team! I was so pumped to incorporate Steel Mace Vinyasa into to my clients movement plans and home studio classes - my clients absolutely love it and have made huge strength & mobility gains.

Steel Mace Vinyasa Level 1 training was one of the most enriching and challenging experiences I've had in my movement journey. The depth of knowledge and passion for the practice made this training not only informative but truly transformative. The format was highly interactive, which kept me fully engaged throughout and allowed for a deeper connection to the material.

What stood out the most was the in-depth discussion of functional movement and kinesiology. It was both intellectually challenging and incredibly rewarding. I walked away with a much stronger understanding of the body and steel mace. We also dove into new terms that I can now integrate into my teaching, helping me to guide students with more clarity, confidence, and precision in their bodies. It was a lot of information to absorb, but every piece felt important and relevant.

I genuinely feel like I’ve learned so much from this experience. If you're looking to deepen your understanding of movement, enhance your teaching, or simply challenge yourself in a new and exciting way, I can't recommend this training enough.

I absolutely loved Summer Huntington’s Level One Steel Mace Vinyasa course—it was deeply educational, incredibly precise, and full of practical insights I could immediately apply to both my practice and teaching. Summer breaks down complex movements into digestible pieces, making the learning process feel accessible yet empowering. Her teaching style is clear, supportive, and rich with knowledge, blending structure and creativity in a way that kept me fully engaged. This course goes far beyond just learning how to use a mace; it’s about cultivating strength, intention, and mindfulness in movement. A truly transformative experience that I’d highly recommend to anyone looking to expand their movement toolbox under expert guidance.

Taking the Steel Mace Vinyasa Level 1 Teacher Training was a game-changer for both my personal practice and professional offerings. I gained a deep understanding of steel mace mechanics, how to sequence intelligently for different populations, and how to blend loaded movement with yoga in a way that builds true functional strength and mobility.

The training offered a comprehensive and practical approach to sustainable movement—one that I could immediately apply to my own body and to the clients I work with. I now feel confident integrating this modality into my services, and it’s allowed me to expand my business in a powerful new direction. This training was the missing link I didn’t know I needed. Highly recommend to anyone ready to level up!

I did the Embodying Flow program sessions using the recordings. The sessions were very meaningful. The movements I learned - some of which I knew and some of which were new to me - helped improve my body awareness, balance, coordination, as well as bring a sense of mental clarity. I really enjoyed learning about the different striking patterns, and felt person physically and mentally stronger as a result of this program.

I am so grateful to have found Summer, and that I took the leap to sign up for the Flow Coach Accelerator! For years I had been wanting to create a signature program, but I felt I needed the guidance and structure to create something worth sharing.

Her program is packed with knowledge and guidance. She has an amazing team of coaches, and it was truly a transformative experience.

I went into this with not knowing what to expect, and I can say I LOVE steel mace vinyasa along with feeling I have the confidence to create transformative custom programs to share with my clients. Highly recommend.

Transformational. That’s how I would characterize my time with Summer. I just completed the Flow Coach Accelerator with the 100 hour steel mace vinyasa certification, and this program has challenged me in every way: mentally, physically, & spiritually. Through Summer’s program, and with her skillful coaches, I was able to learn so many new skills, and overcome all obstacles in the way. I now have a base of knowledge to truly help transform my clients’ lives, as well! From practical business knowledge to specific and clear training on the steel mace and functional fitness, the work I have done over the last five months has changed the trajectory of my life. I began my own business, have an offer suite, AND have amazing clients whom I’m helping heal pain, and get stronger than they ever thought possible. Big thanks to Summer, Robyn, Angie, Adina, & Alicia! Incredible coaches in a top-notch program.

Participating in the 6-day Orcas Island Retreat in 2023 with Summer and Mark was a life-changing experience. I gained new friends, critical skills and greater confidence for my continuing practice. I received personal adjustments and encouragement that helped me break old habits and overcome my fear of trying new things (such as staff fighting). I walk the earth with confidence, both physically and mentally. As a bonus, I’ve developed some badass characters in my fictional writing based on what I’ve learned at the retreat, as well as from Summer and Flowshala! Thank you Summer and Mark! You both have had a profound impact on my life.

I participated in a retreat with Summer Hunnington and Mark Wildman in Thailand in January of 2024. Going in with the attitude of a coach meant that I knew I would be challenged and I was eager to learn more and deepen my own practice in strength and flow state based training. Summer and Mark led a well organized, challenging, and satisfying retreat! This experience bled into my own coaching at home and also solidified to me where my own curiosity and enthusiasm lies. In other words, it was very helpful for my own personal development as well as for my own business. It was also a wonderful experience meeting other enthusiasts and coaches that have now led to deep and meaningful friendships with opportunities for future collaborations. I highly recommend you make the time and the investment for yourself and participate in one of these!

Summer's programs are amazing, and I can't say enough about them. I enrolled in her Flow Coach Accelerator program, and it completely changed how I approached my movement & yoga coaching business. It was a lot of work (and I'm still integrating it all), but I ended up with business assets and a workable plan that will fuel me for years to come. Plus, my clients are getting results like they never have before. I also took the opportunity to study Steel Mace with Summer, and received my 100-hr Steel Mace Vinyasa certification. This practice also revolutionized my personal practice and my coaching, and I'm so grateful to have discovered it. Summer has really cracked the code on online learning, and the tools and coaching I received were second to none. Highly recommended!

I was really excited to have the opportunity to virtually attend the Steel Mace Vinyasa Level 1 training. The course resources provided a very good understanding of both the 'why' and 'how' of steel mace vinyasa classes. From specific movements to class structure and programming, I learned so much from this training. Also, the virtual students were integrated seamlessly into the programme delivery, so I didn't feel that I missed anything important to my development by not being able to attend in person. This course has definitely helped me become better as a steel mace practitioner, and it's given me the tools to begin introducing others to steel mace vinyasa. It's also introduced me to some new concepts which have been beneficial to my overall development as a movement professional. I'd definitely recommend this to anyone interested in steel mace and functional movement programming.

Summer Huntington's coaching program is a transformative experience that blends her extensive expertise in kinesiology, somatic experiencing, neuroscience, and over a decade of yoga practice. As a coach, Summer has crafted a unique methodology, particularly with her Steel Mace Vinyasa approach, that stands out for its comprehensiveness and adaptability to any body type.

I recently embarked on the 12-week signature business accelerator program with Summer, alongside the Steel Mace Vinyasa certification crew (shout-out to Coach Alicia and Daniel, too). With 900 hours of certifications already under my belt, I sought to refine my craft and take my business to new heights. She helped broaden my boundaries, break through comfort zones, and evolve both personally and professionally.

This is not your regular Yoga Teacher Training. Summer doesn't just teach yoga; she delves into the intricacies of running a successful yoga business in the digital age. From social media strategies to newsletter tactics, program design, and beyond, every aspect is meticulously designed to help practitioners like myself grow exponentially.

One of the most impactful aspects of Summer's coaching is her ability to identify and address personal obstacles. For me, it was confronting my perfectionism procrastination tendencies. Through her guidance, I've learned to recognize these roadblocks and actively work to overcome them.

But perhaps the most invaluable aspect of Summer's coaching is her unwavering support and accountability. She pushes you to excel while always keeping your 'why' at the forefront. Whether it's refining teaching techniques, connecting with your audience, or honing in on your unique value proposition, Summer provides the guidance and encouragement needed to succeed.

In conclusion, if you're ready to step out of your comfort zone, challenge yourself, and truly elevate your yoga practice and business, Summer Huntington's coaching program is the perfect fit. It's not just about learning yoga & strength training; it's about transforming lives and realizing your full potential as a teacher and entrepreneur.

If you are interested in learning about Steel Mace, Heavy Clubs, or experiencing strength training combined with Yoga, Flow Shala is the place! Going through my Journey of Steel Mace YTT led by Summer Huntington was an enlightening and transformative experience that I will cherish throughout all my years.

One standout feature of this program is Summer's expertise and mastery of kinesiology and anatomy, coupled with the seamless integration of the Steel Mace and traditional yoga practices. The incorporation of the mace not only enhanced my physical strength and endurance but also added a novel dimension to yoga, making it an invigorating and once-in-a-lifetime experience for which I am profoundly thankful.

Summer's expertise as a seasoned yoga instructor and fitness expert shines through every aspect of her training. Her profound knowledge, combined with a supportive learning environment, a vast array of tools, well-thought-out step-by-step instruction, and cohort support, made the experience conducive to my growth and self-discovery as a yoga instructor.

Throughout the training, the sense of community and support among Summer and her fellow instructors is palpable. Summer Huntington fosters a collaborative and inclusive environment where students feel empowered to share their insights, challenges, and experiences.

The comprehensive curriculum, expert instruction, and supportive community make this program a truly exceptional opportunity for aspiring yoga teachers and fitness enthusiasts alike. Whether you're looking to deepen your yoga practice, expand your teaching skills, or explore new avenues in fitness and wellness, this program offers a well-rounded and enriching experience that will undoubtedly leave a lasting impact on your life as well.

I've been a student of Summer Huntington for 2 years now. Investing my time and energy into her 100 hour Steel Mace Vinyasa teacher training has been the single most impactful decision in my career as a coach. Areas I previously struggled with included: verbose and passive coaching cues, lack of deep inner core integration, postural misalignments, and training in a singular plane of movement.

Summer's vast knowledge and practical application of nervous system regulation techniques set her apart as a movement educator. She teaches her students how to develop somatic awareness, identifying felt sensations in the body. My experiences training with Summer have lead to numerous emotional breakthroughs and a complete mindset shift.

The value and return on investment you get with FlowShala is unmatched, this is truly priceless work designed to get you embodying your highest self and creating the health, life and reality you want for yourself. No other movement practice I've tried brings sensations of expansiveness and allows me to transcend perceived limitations. Summer has this down to a science. If you train with Summer and FlowShala, you'll see improved energy, focus, and mood outside of your time on the mat.

Outside of the classes I attended regularly, I've also attended multiple workshops, both in person and virtual:

Orcas Island 5 day training seminar with Summer and Mark Wildman (staff, heavy clubs, mace)
16 hour KinYoga virtual workshop
8 hour Heavy Clubs virtual workshop

I highly recommend the workshops and seminars offered at FlowShala, they will help you understand your mind and body better, as they are not separate entities. You'll leave with new practical tools and first hand experience using the knowledge accrued. This is no lecture hall, you will be moving and understanding somatically how training with ancient tools in a modern setting can create massive shifts in your life.

I participated in Summer’s Steel Mace Vinyasa 100 hour certification at a moment when I knew, after ten plus years of coaching, that I was ready to level up my offerings to my clients. This certification program was one of the best decisions I made. Summer and her coaches are very thorough and thoughtful in helping to improve my own movement practice and how to transfer that to my clients. I learned to develop better marketing strategies and to really hone in on what my own strengths are and how to package them to provide better training experiences for my clients. This certification program also gave me the self-confidence to know the value of my offerings and my own knowledge. After years of training others in modalities that were meaningful to me but lacked cohesiveness whilst working solo, I was in a deficit of enthusiasm and felt a bit of a loss from not having feedback from other coaches. Doing this program boosted my curiosity once again to learn and apply relevant information in my own coaching and being in connection with peers doing the program, the Flowshala coaches, and Summer herself helped me formulate a better concept of my coaching skills, where I needed to improve while focusing on my strengths. I appreciate Summer’s approach to running a movement business and that she provides tools for working smarter and not harder. I know that what I have learned in the five months of my certification, I will be applying this information in the years to come. I am so grateful for this experience, for my own personal development and for the health of my business.

Working with Summer and her team has been transformative in every way - even in ways I couldn't have imagined.

I highly recommend this training to anyone who wants to learn business systems that work, a life changing movement practice, program design, or how to help other people transform their lives in a sustainable way.

Understand this. When I entered the 100 hour Steel Mace Vinyasas Teacher training - I did so as a student brand new to Steel Mace Vinyasa, and no other coaching experience or other certifications. I have a full time corporate job, and a passion for helping others.

As a coach who is brand new to the movement coaching space, the 100 hour teacher training provided support, accountability, and systems that I could take, implement and grow my business from scratch.

During my time with Summer and her team, I built my business from the ground up, including the website, payment systems, worked on marketing presence, and social media practices. From a business transformative sense, I learned to design programs, classes, and lead groups confidently while also identifying and correcting imbalances in clients and students.

From a personal transformative lens, I was supported and coached through unwinding emotional, physical and mindset imbalances of my own. Summer helped me create sustainable personal practices that continue to allow me to show up as my highest self for me, my family, and my clients. I have a history of multiple orthopedic surgeries that have led to years of restrictions and loss of mobility and strength in my body. By showing up to live classes and prioritizing the Steel Mace Vinyasa movement practices - I was able to break free of those patterns and achieve a level of joint mobility, functional movement and strength that I wouldn't have thought possible.

Since graduating, I have been able to launch my own 12 week signature program and am leading my cohort through their own transformations in a consistent, intentional, and repeatable way. By implementing the systems provided by Summer and her team, I am confident in my offer, knowing that this container and methodology is life changing.

That said - you will get from this program what you put in to it. I encourage you to prioritize the movement practice, attend every live coaching call possible and remain accountable to taking action.

Summer Huntington is amazing, her team is amazing, and the systems work if you do. I am so proud, grateful, and thankful to this community. Take the step - and then hit the ground running!

Before 2020 I was active in fitness but I had only dabbled in mace and heavy clubs. During the shutdown I decided to dive deeper with lever tools. I found a few club and mace coaches and programs online before I discovered Coach Summer Huntington on Youtube. It was quickly obvious that she had very few peers when it came to the use of these unique modalities. But what really set her apart was her unique vision of merging ancient lever tools with two other disciplines. She merged arguably the oldest tools known to humans with the ancient art of yoga and the modern science of kinesiology. When I later discovered that she had a Master’s Degree in Kinesiology I wasn’t at all surprised. Summer knows her stuff!

Two years later, Summer announced she was hosting a weekend retreat on Clubs, Mace and Staff at Flow Shala with another coach whose material I had immersed myself in throughout the pandemic, Mark Wildman. I signed up on the spot! The weekend was an incredible experience! The two coaches complimented each other so well! Both were beyond excellent in every way possible: pedagogy, explanation, diagnosing issues and coaching corrections, the list goes on and on. I learned so much that weekend, but Summer’s Steel Mace Vinyasa sessions challenged me like I’d never been challenged before. I leveled up in all three modalities without question, and I came home with a passion to continue growing in clubs and staff that is still with me to this day. But I had an even greater drive to pursue steel mace vinyasa.

I quickly signed up for a five day retreat with Coaches Summer and Mark in Thailand. I wanted to make the most out of the opportunity and had six months to prepare for the event. I started working online with an incredible Flow Shala coach on a weekly basis. By the time I found myself swinging a mace in Warrior 2 pose surrounded by the Buddhist temples that lined the mountains around our workout platform in Thailand, I had leveled up again. But Summer challenged me in a way I’d never been challenged before. She encouraged as she pushed me to an even higher level. A perfect example, in the midst of one session she invited the group into a headstand. I followed her instructions and found myself upside down! After the session she rushed over to me with a huge smile and was genuinely excited to find out if that was my first headstand. In that moment I realized how genuinely invested this coach was in the development of her students.

After Thailand, I joined Flow Shala and continued working with Summer and the other coaches online. It was such a gift to get coaching on Steel Mace Vinyasa at home! I also recently attended a 16 hour SMV online course. When I signed up for the course I thought we’d hone on form and maybe learn some new moves. That happened, but unbeknownst to me, the weekend was really an opportunity to peer behind the curtain and glimpse not only the depth of Summer’s pedagogy but it gave me a clear vision of the genius and breadth of a master and true artist in her chosen field.

When Coach Summer recently announced she was going to coach one on one sessions, I signed up right away! Summer is not only a coach of coaches, she is a fitness pioneer gifting us with a glimpse of what the next level of health and wellness looks like with Steel Mace Vinyasa. She not only diagnosed several unhealthy movement patterns I’ve developed over a lifetime, she has prescribed a holistic weekly wellness plan designed to teach me proper movement and heal my body. I can’t speak highly enough of Coach Summer. I’ve been blessed to work with several world class “best of the best” leaders in other disciplines. Summer is definitely at that level in her field. It has been an honor and a blessing to work with her. She has taken me to a new level of fitness and wellness and I know she can do the same for you, regardless of your level or previous experience.

Flow Shala is the best! I've taken on-line classes with Brooke, Amber, and Bethany, so far, and they are all excellent teachers, giving clear instructions so we newer students could easily understand and follow along. The warm-up section of the class is fabulous, and for the main part of the class, the instructors gave options for different levels of challenge, so a beginner could get just as good a work out as a more experienced member. Also, Alicia gave me a coaching call and was completely focused on supporting my goals. Summer got back to me quickly regarding emailed questions. All around, a top-notch studio.

I was introduced to Flow Shala in 2019. Ironically, I never intended to do more than the 6-week challenge and here I am three years later a dedicated and loyal member. The unique class offerings (Steel Mace, y’all), highly trained and knowledgeable coaches, and beautiful space are really all the reasons needed to keep coming back. That said, Flow Shala is more than just a fitness studio. They’re about creating and cultivating community and it shows. Thank you Summer! Thank you coaches! A wonderful combination of weighted yoga, HIIT, strength and stretching. This place has it all, and is curated to take you at whatever level you come to them. They teach high level Steel Mace classes, to simple foundation and movement classes (I highly recommend one of Brooke's foundation classes, you won't be disappointed), all with the same level of encouragement, knowledge, and motivation. You will not leave here feeling unfulfilled or like you haven't just done yourself a world of good. The community of people are welcoming, educated beyond the norm, and the space is absolutely gorgeous. The class schedule is a bit limited on times, but if you can find a few classes a week that work, or if you have a propensity for working out in the comfort of your own home, then you will find no better group of people and trainers then here. I highly recommend it for anyone looking to make a positive change in their lives. It has certainly been a positive change in mine.

I started training at Flow Shala when I finally accepted that I had a chronic running injury that hurt all the time, and needed to take a break from running to deal with it. Strength training on my own wasn't helping. I had to wait several weeks to see a physical therapist, but a fitness expert and mentor familiar with Summer Huntington's approach had recommended Flow Shala, so I decided to check it out.

Wow. From an initial video assessment, I learned what might be contributing to the injury, and that was the basis for a training plan that not only helped me address the pain, but get stronger.

Flow Shala membership offers so many ways to get moving, through live classes, recorded classes, and recorded, comprehensive modules on head-to-toe fascial release and basic movement that I can follow. I don’t have to worry about being motivated to work out, because there’s always an option that feels like the right thing, including when I want to exercise by myself.

Something else that's unique is that class formats use different types of movement for specific outcomes, from bodyweight, steel mace or clubs for physical and mental training or intensity, to classes focused on mechanics, mobility or spinal release and postural alignment.

And it's unlimited! For the price I would expect to pay for two classes a week, I can take as many classes as I’d like. I have access to all of the coaches through all of the class options and formats. The coaches have different styles, but they have in common incredible depth of knowledge and skill at observing, cueing and correcting form – in person and via Zoom. What Flow Shala offers has been far and away more interesting and rewarding than anything I've experienced with running and working out at other gyms and studios. I can't recommend it enough!

Flow Shala is a unique amazing studio! Flow Shala is a beautiful fusion of yoga, strength, body movement, core and weights. I loved the incorporation of the club bell and steel mace and the added strength and complexity this added to the movements. If you are a beginner at these movements, they do a great job of walking you through it and giving many levels of modification. I was also surprised at the wide variety of classes that they offer and thought process and science that goes into the structure of their classes, maximizing the benefit to the mind and body. The coaches are very well trained, knowledgeable, and friendly. The studio was spacious, warm, inviting, and had very good quality mats and equipment. They also have other great offerings beyond classes, like their one-on-one goal coaching and other wellness modalities. I am definitely grateful to have this studio and all that they offer, available in our area and looking forward to incorporating this into my fitness and wellness routine.

I love the diversity of movement and clarity of all-levels instruction I get in my 6:30am classes at Flow Shala. I have learned positive mindset techniques and advanced understanding of healthy movement from Summer and Alicia. Roxanne, Bethany, and Alicia bring joyful play into my fitness. The coaching I experienced initially with Summer supported me in creating the mindset of a super duper human and I’ve stuck with it with the steady and personal support of my morning coaches.
I Am stronger in a way I previously only dreamed of.
I love the Flow Shala community- the sweet souls and quirky folks who exude positive gratitude with a welcome and confidence that is clear and grounded. Thank you especially to Alicia for being a Leader of healthy growth as the community rebuilds in 2022! She’s been a fantastic addition to the team.

I just wanted to share the amazing experience of taking Charleen’s classes. It all starts when you walk in, she greets with excitement immediately making me feel welcome. She’s organized and has everything set up, maces, kettlebells etc. so you know what you are doing. Her class is energizing. She is NEVER condescending or patronizing when explaining progressions and regressions. Then she ends class with a genuine inquisitive mindset, asking how we feel, what we loved and can improve on. I just really admire her energy and grace. She’s nailing it.

Flow Shala has created a great space to work on your fitness goals. The coaches are welcoming and committed to helping you get the best workout possible. I've found that they're always happy to explain moves, give multiple options for difficulty or flexibility in yoga poses and movements, and they work with you wherever you're at. Thanks for being a great place to work out!

The "info session" for one of their most popular programs was actually a heavily pressured way to get you to sign up for something right there on the spot. Sure, their classes change lives and that is valuable, but do you need to shame people in front of other customers and belittle them when they aren't in a position to take part in your programs? I wasn't going to post this but after unsubscribing a dozen times from emails, blocking numerous phone numbers and blocking them on social media I continue to get ads from Flow Shala when all I want to do is forget about how bad and shameful my experience was.

I started the six week transformation challenge 1 week before Christmas. The studio is clean and bright and welcoming. The coaches are ALL amazing. They are all so understanding and welcoming and helpful. They often start off classes by asking everyone how their bodies are feeling and will sometimes change an exercise or at least give specific modifications. I have FIA-a hip and knee issue- and it has been really hard to find workouts that are intense but low impact. Flow Shala offers exactly what I need. I am just a couple days away from the end of my six weeks and I have lost 15 pounds. I followed the nutrition guide almost 100%(had 2 cheat days), and I am amazed at some of the yoga poses I can hold that were impossible when I started. I have found a place where the workouts are fun, challenging, different every time with excellent coaches and I have no hip or knee pain., so I would say I’m a fan :)

As a yoga practitioner and teacher myself, I was struggling to find ways to challenge myself within my own practice and bring a sense of freshness to my practice after moving from place to place. Flow Shala did just that. I was hesitant to sign on to the 6 week challenge but now at the end of it, I can say I am oh so happy I took that leap. The flow shala team is there to help you throughout the whole process, from the nutrition end of it, inviting daily meditation into your schedule, and even down to the financial part of it, they're there to work with you to make this experience available and effective. I’m excited to continue working with Flow Shala after my 6 weeks to continue experiencing even more growth within my yoga practice and myself. ☀

THANK YOU to everyone at Flow Shala (yes, every single dedicated individual on staff who I've interacted with in a teaching/training role or otherwise) for your consistent encouragement, instruction, wisdom, and inspiration during my 6-week Challenge. I was able to meet my 6-week fitness goals, including leaning fully into new mobility and strength exercises that stretched my body (literally!), engaging in yoga practices (I have always appreciated the benefits, but never felt comfortable with it prior to this experience), better understanding mind-body connections and “flow”, and ultimately losing 20 lbs.! I felt welcomed into this wellness community, with just the right amount of physical and mental challenge to push and inspire me, while honoring and helping me navigate my personal challenges such as time constraints and dealing with unexpected travel for work. Special shout out to instructor/facilitator Charleen Hess for excellent “early morning recesses” and a powerful Return to Play experience! I also have really enjoyed getting to know other participants, who have been as supportive and inspiring for me as the staff. I now have an annual membership (yes!), and while I have not yet been able to maximize use of the studio during a busy holiday season for me, I am looking forward to a year of continued personal wellness and growth, with Flow Shala as a powerful hub. I am so grateful for this experience, this place and its mission, and the people who dedicate themselves to it.

I did the 6 weeks to flow challenge, and definitely feel more aware of my body, what my strengths and weaknesses are, and don't dread exercising anymore! This studio is amazing because of the empowering classes it offers. The steel mace classes make me feel like a warrior in battle and the foundations class helped me become mindful in the ways I hold my body in motion or in stillness and how I can do that in a way that benefits me. I always felt encouraged to push myself, but never pressured to go beyond my limits. The entire vibe of the place is to learn to better care for yourself, and they will give you the tools to do that in more ways than just fitness. I began meditating and while I am still learning to make it a habit in my life, I can already tell the differences it is making in my social interactions, creative processes, personal goals, and internal dialogue! I can't wait to attend more classes!

Flow Shala is a top-notch training facility (and this comes from a very picky former personal trainer). Their knowledge and experience are reflected in everything they do. As a 6-week challenger, I've not only experienced the bonus of weight loss, but also the many benefits of daily meditation, journaling, and healthy eating. I am proud to say that I have finished my 6-Week Transformation Challenge at Flow Shala. This was a new experience for me in many ways: I’ve never trained with a group (other than with traditional sports teams); most of the movements were totally new and foreign to me (squats and yoga are not typically part of my life!); and I’ve never coordinated efforts to control my diet with a formal exercise routine before.

My Flow Shala experience got off to an unpleasant start as the sales pitch at the “In Person FREE consult” felt extremely high-pressure to me. Though I had heard good things about Flow Shala going in for the consult, after signing a contract and handing over my credit card to cover the “deposits” for the Challenge, I got home and sheepishly told my wife that I was just glad there were no timeshares for sale.

Despite the bad taste that the sales pitch left in my mouth, I worked very hard to separate that experience from the actual Challenge experience. While I didn’t find the classes fun by any means, I sweated and worked my way through them and feel proud for sticking with it. I often felt out of my element, having very limited range of motion and not having done anything like these classes before, but was rewarded with knowledge regarding new movement and strengthening exercises. I feel similarly proud of myself for sticking with the practical and effective Flow Shala nutrition plan.

I enjoyed all the coaches whose classes I took throughout the challenge. They were all knowledgeable, energetic and effective instructors. I can’t say, however, that I felt so supported outside the classes as I didn’t receive any contact from Flow Shala other than some generic emails which mostly advertised new course offerings. (Admittedly, I’m not a big social media user which it seems is where a fair amount of outreach is done.) After sharing this sentiment at my mid-way check-in, I did receive an additional one-on-one session that I very much appreciated.

All in all, I lost some weight, learned some new movements and stretches, and feel a little better about the reflection I now see in the mirror.

I am so happy I stumbled upon this wonderful place!
The combination of steel maces and club bells with yoga and interval training is empowering, effective and fun! I started my practice there with a minor knee injury and the coaches helped me modify my workouts, and I greatly decreased my pain through strengthening other mussels.
On top of all this, Flow Shala offers a 6 week challenge that is wonderful! I gained so much strength and confidence, broke bad eating habits, made self care a priority, gained so much energy, and lost 20 pounds!

I am almost finished with my 6 week challenge. I was at a point in my life where I was ready for change, physically and emotionally. I have been really negative and depressed and decided to give flow shala a shot. Part of the challenge is to keep a journal and reflect on 3 things I can manifest for the day and 3 things I can let go for the day. I have been complimented on my attitude, I feel way more happy and positive. I have so much more energy and loved the nutrition plan. I am a pro meal prepper! I can take the things I learned from flow shala and enjoy them for the rest of my life, thank you! I would like to leave a couple suggestions for the amazing staff/coaches. I think the class sizes number should be lessened. The classes are not always really big but when they are the classes can give a person anxiety. I get way more out of the classes that have less people. Also I wish you had 2:30 or 3:30 class! ♡

I'm nearing the end of my 6 week challenge with flow shala and I couldn't recommend them more. I have education in kinesiology and anatomy and it's clear that all of their staff does as well. They are able to talk people through their own body, targeting the intended muscles while holding proper body mechanics, no matter their background or starting point. They are a huge support system for holding yourself accountable and recommending viable solutions for anything you're struggling with it, be it the nutritional plan, or meditating. I've had a tremendous success strengthening muscle that have been weak, and it has contributed largely to being able to hold my posture much easier. It has been a game changer for me, I have never been comfortable in a class workout setting and literally everyone there has made it so welcoming and inviting. If you are needing a little motivation or not getting the proper body instructions out of your current classes, I HIGHLY recommend Flow Shala!!

This place has been incredibly helpful in getting my body and mind in shape. There are classes for all skill levels, even if you're like me who has never been big on exercise. They give guidance into how to meditate, record journal entries, follow a nutrition guide, and how to breathe. The classes are at all different times on different days so despite your work schedule you'll be able to make one or more a day. I have a lot in the way of my doing anything, between two physical injuries which force me to modify my work outs, I also have dietary restrictions and high social anxiety. After four weeks of attending classes I'm still nervous before every class but by the end I'm always so happy I pushed past my anxiety and showed up. 100% of the time I feel way better after class than before. Even if I don't achieve my goal at the end of the six week challenge I plan to continue on because I know with this team I can make it!

I would highly recommend the 6 week challenge at Flow Shala. I got exactly what I wanted out of it!

The instructors were amazing and very inspiring! Due to my work schedule I mostly took classes with Megan & Charleen. I always walked away from class with increased knowledge of how to properly move my body and avoid injury.

I especially enjoyed the Steel Mace classes. At first I was hesitant and little afraid of the mace, but the instructors broke down all the moves and I never felt like I was going to hurt myself or my neighbors.

The nutrition portion of the challenge was the hardest part for me, but I learned a lot about what my body needed versus wanted. Additionally, I was able to treat it as an elimination diet to discover what foods were triggers for me and in the end I had many positive takeaways.

My one goal in going into the challenge was to be able to get back into running. I went into the challenge recently recovered from an adductor injury and was unable to run for 4 months prior to my first Flow Shala class. This injury at first made me cautious in class, but the instructors always gave me modifications and half-way through the challenge I no longer had to modify and felt my legs getting stronger. I am happy to report that one week after completing the challenge I have already run 4 times with no pain and the best part is I feel stronger and my body is more balanced.

I now truly understand the necessity of cross training and I look forward to taking more classes at Flow Shala to support my running and overall health.

I did have some communication issues during the challenge due to an incorrect email, but the Flow Shala staff handled it well and it did not affect the outcome of the challenge for me.

The Flow process was very intriguing to me as a new approach to staying fit and healthy. My workout has always been full on power! However, my 55 year old self told me that working out smarter with a holistic approach will serve me much better now! I am loving the physicality of the studio workouts, the accountability, and the video instruction for low and no days! Loving the learning and the positivity of all the trainers! I am in my 5th week of the 6 week challenge and am really enjoying the process! The Flow Shala team is friendly, approachable, encouraging, available and very helpful! My success thus far lie first in my commitment to trying a new way of fitness. Secondly, I have learned new techniques from in class and video sessions. I have also learned the how and why of the importance of incorporating reflection and meditation. The nutrition piece I am familiar with and understand, however, the course required an "intentional" approach which was needed. My weight and strength are responding positively to the work that I am putting in as is the mental toughness that I have regained :) So far I have completed 12 workouts in studio. I wasn't sure how well Flow Shala would travel, but I was very happy with the number and variety of videos that were available to me to continue on my fitness journey while away from home. I would definitely recommend Flow Shala to someone new to fitness, someone with a ton of experience and anyone who falls in between!

I feel like I can do so much more than I thought I was capable of prior to this. I’m not saying it’s easy for me, because it’s not. I struggle, but I’m glad to do it because of the positive changes I’m seeing and feeling in my body and life. 10/10 would recommend.

I got connected with Flow Shala through a friend who participated in their 6 Week Transformation Challenge and had great results. I have always been an active, health-conscious person, but I was looking to take my health and fitness to the next level with more structure, concrete goals and accountability. I found all of that and more at Flow Shala! I participated in the challenge and dropped almost 10 lbs and over 7% body fat. The best part about this journey is that the practice and nutrition guidelines are completely sustainable. I look forward to continuing to train in the studio and utilize the tools and knowledge I have gained to stay fit and healthy! I would highly recommend this studio to anyone looking for a challenging yet sustainable health and fitness transformation.

Successfully completing the 6 week challenge at the Flow Shala was a great motivator to start making real lifestyle changes. The teachers are incredibly strong knowledgeable women. They are very passionate about helping you meet your goals to live your best life. Going to a studio was very new to me as I was always too intimidated by my lack of yoga knowledge, but I ALWAYS felt welcome and encouraged by the staff and fellow community members at Flow Shala. And I felt supported during every class by the teacher. It is hard to put into words the level of body mechanic knowledge these women share with everyone during each class!
The studio has a great vibe although at times I felt cramped while trying to workout (I have not been in the new space which sounds more spacious.)
I would recommend the 6 Week Challenge to anyone who truly wants to feel a change in their body and mind because if you are ready to commit your time, energy and heart then you will be successful.

I did the 6 week challenge and although I absolutely LOVED the classes, the knowledgeable teachers, and the overall lovely atmosphere of the studio, I was disappointed in their business methods. I was bombarded with emails and pressure to spend money, and when it came to the challenge, although I lost 9.2% body fat, they said apparently I didn’t win and couldn’t get my money back. Apparently you have to chose between losing 20 lbs or 5% body fat and they said I chose 20 lbs, which was very unclear in the beginning. I thought it was either/or. I do love these classes and teachers and although it was a great experience, I felt taken advantage of.

I thoroughly enjoy, and have benefited from, Flow Shala’s challenge, class variety and sense of community. The classes are incredible and diverse, which create a great workout, are always fun, and balance exertion and restoration.

What I appreciate most is Flow Shala’s focus on full person wellness and knowledge about adult behavior change rather than just instruction about physical activity - although that is excellent and clear. I continue to learn about the multifaceted factors that contribute to wellbeing and what actions to take take to live in alignment with my goals and values.

Summer and all the staff - including Alise, Taylor, Megan, Bethany, Adrienne and Charleen - focus on tools and a mindset to create positive impacts for everyone who trains here. Plus, it is incredibly fun!

Thank you Flow Shala!

Thank you Flow Shala for helping me kickstart a much needed change in my life! Finding this studio and the six week challenge was a happy accident, and I am so glad I clicked that Facebook ad! The studio is beautiful, the instructors are so smart and very good at what they do, and the system works!!! Follow the rules, show up and work hard and you will get stronger, leaner, and more flexible.

I was especially impressed with how knowledgeable some of the coaches are on body science. This program is carefully thought out to maximize results and it shows. Workouts are hard so plan on pushing yourself but you see results fast and that’s great motivation!!

I loved to so much and I’m not ready to stop! Will definitely be staying on as a member. On with the flow!

Just finished my 6 week challenge and I can't wait to keep flow shala a part of my weekly routine. I love the classes, the focus on good form, the instructors are super helpful, and for me, right when yoga gets boring, the classes pickup pace with high intensity interval training. I find the clubells and steel mace super mentally challenging and fun. I come out of class energized and usually have a good all over soreness that shows I have been working hard! Thanks flow shala and staff! 💓💓💓💓💓

Flow Shala has been an amazing experience. I have begun to see myself without fear and harsh judgments. Flow Shala and its instructors have a wonderful way of bringing it's students to movement and balance.
This has been a great opportunity to reintroduce myself to the world of movement and better health.
I came to this program with a lot of negativity and without any faith that this would work out well for me. I thought I had a lot of limitations and as it turns out not so many. I am not perfect but I have seen and experienced personal, physical and emotional transformations that will continue beyond the challenge that was set out before me.
I appreciate all I have gained and learned from this company.
Thank you Flow Shala!

I did the 6 week challenge and it DEFINITELY transformed me, body and spirit! I lost over 6% body fat, gained muscle strength, and found clarity on my priorities in my life. It was the perfect reset. The space is beautiful and welcoming, which makes it a haven to go to at the end of a work day. Normally, the thought of going to the gym after work is pretty horrible, so this means so much to me and ensured that I would get to all of my workouts. The instructors are incredibly knowledgeable and the classes are small, so you get the attention and coaching to keep you in good form and encouraged. Megan is an especially excellent teacher--take her class FOR SURE! The community of people are so supportive and fun. I cannot recommend the studio or the experience enough. Do it!

I participated in Flow Shala's 6 week challenge. Summer and the staff are all fantastic people wanting to truly help you. My goal at the beginning of the challenge was to lose 20 pounds and I lost 21!!!! Now, after the challenge I feel like I have a good base to continue to let go of even more weight based off of what I learned and experienced. I absolutely loved taking part in this challenge! During the challenge I was able to break bad eating habits and create a new healthier lifestyle and gain back a healthy relationship with food. If you are lacking accountability or feel stuck in a rut in your life I highly recommend taking part in the challenge. It was also fun making friends in class with people who were also doing the challenge. It felt good to be able to relate to others and discuss your triumphs and struggles. There is a great variety of teachers with all different backgrounds, skills and knowledge, so everyone should be able to find a teacher or multiple you connect with. If you ever have a question they are more than willing to take the time and help you. It can be intimidating at first, but you are encouraged to go at the pace that is best for YOU wherever you are on your journey. I also really enjoyed the unique style of some of the classes and channeling my inner warrior and practicing moves our ancestors did. It's your ordinary yoga and then some! I have noticed a total transformation in my body and how much easier it is to do simple everyday movements, it's very freeing. Overall, I absolutely loved my experience and will continue to go to classes after my 6 week challenge.

As someone who has always been interested in both conventional and innovative trends in health and wellness, I can say that endless information can make it difficult to find and commit to a lifestyle that offers everything you hope for. Flow Shala has gone above and beyond this for me. As a participant in their six week challenge I was given the tools for success with my diet, exercise, and mindset. Each HIIT class pushed me to my physical limits while the yoga practice and mindset coaching weaved in empowered me to commit to real change. Summer has created a program that combines the psychology of human behavior with highly effective physical training for a complete lifestyle overhaul available to anyone willing to put in the work. The workouts are challenging, the coaches are highly skilled and knowledgable, and the community is supportive. I cannot recommend Flow Shala enough.

It is hard to begin to put to words the experience I have had in just a few short weeks at Flow Shala. In a nutshell it is world class training in our own little town. I am someone who lives with a chronic illness, has had more surgeries than I can count and was at a point that I knew I could not continue feeling this way for another 40 years. When I walked into Flow Shala I was nervous, scared, intimidated and in general had very low confidence and self esteem. But now I feel like I am back! Summer and her team made me feel like I belonged from the moment I stepped through the door. They provide an incredible support system beyond anything I’ve experienced elsewhere. The classes that are offered are diverse and engaging. I never know exactly what is coming which makes the hard work fly by. And if that isn’t enough they have reminded me how amazing clean eating is and have taught me to care for my mind and heart as much as my physical being. The village that is being created at Flow Shala has introduced me to amazing people at different stages of the journey. Every class I attend I see people supporting each other, sharing stories and creating friendships... an unexpected and very welcome surprise in this challenge. Although I am excited that I am nearing the end of the 6 week challenge, I am even more excited to keep training and living with Flow Shala. They have made an incredible impact on my life. More than they probably know. If you are reading this, please know that you are worth it, you can do it, and you will thank yourself every day for walking through their door.

Flow Shala is a unique experience with a large variety of classes and amazing/supportive community. They are working on adding more class times as it occasionally fills up. Hoping for more variety as they continue to grow.

The movement practice at FlowShala will transform your life!

The studio is welcoming, bright and clean—it offers an inspiring space to achieve ultimate fitness goals.

The coaches are extremely knowledgeable and positive and these factors inform their method of motivational teaching. I learn something new and helpful in every class!

The Flow practice is a holistic approach to wellness. It merges ancient warrior wisdom with modern kinesiology. The coaches at FlowShala deliver programs that integrate one’s entire being into the process of connecting mind and body. Plan to sweat—but keep in mind this is more than a workout for your muscles. Flow State is when action and awareness meet to achieve full presence and intention in movement. You’ll be training your mind right along with your body!

This discipline is a true asset to the Bellingham community. No matter age or fitness level there is a class at FlowShala that is perfect for you.

I can’t say enough about how thankful I am for the coaching staff and community of Flow Shala. Without these past 5 weeks I would not be where I am today mentally, emotionally & physically. I was longing for a change, a change I was not being successful to make on my own when I scrolled across the 6 week challenge on FB. I interviewed and right from that moment I knew this was going to be the gift I needed to reclaim a routine/flow of self care that was simple, transformative & so much fun. My greatest highlights are 1. The coaches. I’ve never been better instructed on my body and how it moves and why it needs to move. Classes never left me wondering if I was doing something safe. My body has found its root to the ground & how to tend it so to create true movement not just exercise and activity. 2. Meditation & journaling. To create space and awareness by breathing and quieting my spirit so I can hear what my mind and body are saying and how they are flowing or not. It was awesome & the structure given was super life giving to implement. 3. The easiest and most effective food plan I’ve followed. This is my greatest are of growth so it was hard but I’m learning and changing so that’s awesome!!! I love this community & am so appreciative of the foundation given. As a SAHM I needed this to reconnect me to me so o can better connect to my family & friends.

Flow Shala has been a huge blessing in my life. I am impressed with the wholistic approach to fitness that Summer has put together. I am very impressed with the level of knowledge that her team brings. Functional movements are well crafted into flow routines that target strength, endurance, mobility, breathwork, and mindfulness. I have been feeling very stuck in certain movement patterns in my daily life, which has led to a lot of blocked energy in my body/mind/soul. I now have noticeably more energy, not only when engaging with the fitness program, but (more meaningfully) in the rest of my life also. I consistently find myself looking forward to my next sweat or stretch at the studio. And to meeting up with all of the other folks who show up to challenge themselves daily through Flow! I joined for the 6 week challenge, but I will be continuing to train with this team of amazing coaches far into the foreseeable future.

Summer Huntington and the Flow Shala team bring a wealth of knowledge and passion to their classes. Earlier this year I was feeling the need for more movement and vitality. As a busy mom of two, I slowly let my self care practice fall away. The 6 weeks to Flow program came at a perfect time for me to activate change in my life on multiple levels. Not only do my clothes fit better, my energy, strength, mood, muscle tone and focus have changed in a positive way. Accountability and a well thought out holistic program is just what I need. I started training with Summer many years ago-the on going experience has changed my life. My goals were simple to start: I wanted to lose weight and "get in better shape" as I approached my middle years. I reached those goals but have gained so much more as well: mental well-being, improved ability to handle both physical and mental stress, healthier eating habits, and greater confidence in myself and what I am really able to physically do. Through the years Summer and her team have helped me to recover from multiple injuries and aging issues, helped me to get stronger, helped to motivate me, and have customized every workout to what I need and want in my training sessions. I walk away from every session with gained knowledge, a positive attitude, and a nice healthy sweat! The team are the most caring and conscientious trainers and always have my best interests at the forefront. I never imagined working out with a personal trainer would be like this; now I can't imagine training in any other way or with any other trainers.

I originally got into contact with Summer Huntington through Murry Chiropractic in Bellingham for scoliosis, which limited my range of motion, and for injuries in my wrists and shoulders from playing flute as a collegiate music student and emerging professional musician. Summer and Megan Percy worked with me to create a program that was specific to my body and that adapted to my needs. Classes offered through Flow Shala, like Clubbell Yoga, have built the strength I needed in my thoracic spine, shoulders, and wrists. I am now able to play flute for longer periods of time, have a greater range of motion in my body, and I feel fantastic! I have gone to the chiropractor and physical therapist for years, but Clubbell Yoga provided the missing link I needed to build muscle and heal my body!
