Clean and friendly. The staff is amazing. The makeup policy is great. We've been going here for about two years, have been from baby class to glider 3, have seen so much progress. Worth the money!

Wow really well run here! We’ve done community center swim lessons and it’s night and day different. The pools here are designed only for swim lessons so the water temperature is like bath water warm and they keep humidity high so when you get out of water you are still warm.

The staff is friendly, supportive, and well trained. They gave us a bag and t-shirt as new members. They give the young kids stamps, stickers, or toys after each lesson.

The facilities is top notch too! Plenty of showers/changing room, a machine to rinse dry your swimsuit. Hair dryers. They have viewing area to watch kids.

All these things makes my toddler want to come back and swim! He’s excited to go which makes it easier for me.

Shockingly poor quality and very young swim instructors. My child is in Glider 3. The teacher yells at and mocks the three children in this group (Thursdays 7pm). Literally screams at them to “swim” but provides zero teaching or care. All these poor kids are learning is to hate to learn to swim.

THE BEST PLACE IN THE WORLD! My children (5 & 3) have been attending since they were babies. Every single staff member—front desk, lifeguards, swim instructors, managers, owner—has been kind, welcoming, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic. The kid and parent experience is sublime from the moment you walk in. Each staff member goes above and beyond to make your swimmer feel welcome, confident, and as if they belong.

With only four or fewer kids per class, teachers are able to deliver differentiated, engaging, developmentally appropriate, and perfectly rigorous lessons. Instructors clearly communicate what your child is working on (or you can check the portal for clear skill progress reports). Instructors demonstrate skills and know just what to say and do to fine tune each ability, but they also have the instinct and compassion to call out for a tissue box and gently wipe your toddler’s nose should they get water up it. 😅 I’ve been AMAZED by the progress my children have made under their highly skilled guidance and watching my kids go is the highlight of my week!

They have a flexible cancellation policy and tons of open spots for makeup classes, which means kids do not attend sick and spread pathogens! You can accumulate 12 makeup tokens and have a year to use them, and we’ve had zero trouble finding open spots. This is a HEAVENLY policy that shows understanding of our chaotic lives and regard for public health!

The water is SO warm, the facilities are clean, there is ample space in the parent viewing area, the shower rooms allow for spacious privacy, and even the row of showers in the swimming area has shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. If you forget your goggles as I've been known to do, the staff will happily let you borrow a clean pair!

Teacher Lauren is the beating heart of the place—though we have not had the pleasure of being in her classes, she knows my kids’ names and abilities, makes them feel special just for being there, and hasn’t met a challenge she can’t work through. The manager Laura’s attention to detail is immaculate—she asked us about a trip we had mentioned weeks before. Teacher Justin made both of my hesitant, timid children feel comfortable and confident with his humor, enthusiasm, fast paced instruction, and stunning understanding of kids! Teacher Jenn is amazing--she will take one look at your swimmer and know just what to do to get them to the next level and how you can support them at home. Teacher Asher is empathetic, kind, and goes above and beyond to make sure each kid in his care feels confident to achieve their next goal. I could gush for an eternity; there is not a single staff member we haven’t loved.

I sing the praises of Goldfish Swim School to everyone I know! If you’re going to take your child to ONE activity, it should be this one!

We really enjoy attending Goldfish Swim School in Shoreline. Asher, our instructor, always remembers our child/child's name and is so great with him! We took a month of "mini" baby classes from the Goldfish Shoreline school-- and it was fantastic! I'm a former lifeguard and swim instructor and was so impressed by all of the teachers, the curriculum and facility operations.

Everyone was so kind and sweet to my little one. The front desk team (Richard), the deck supervisor and the instructors were all friendly, professional and helpful.

Parking is simple. The pool is warm. There are ample showers, bathrooms and baby changing tables. There are viewing chairs for grandparents who might want to watch the lesson.

My only criticism is that they automatically put you on a subscription model where you have to give 30 days notice (4 sessions) to cancel. I don't like that it's not a la carte classes. It seems you might be able to avoid this by purchasing and using a gift card. But be careful not to get trapped into paying for more classes than you intended to buy.

Otherwise - it's a great gift and a lovely experience! Recommend!

UPDATE: Again, beware of subscription "perpetual" model and inflexible rescheduling.

I have an autistic son who has been attending swimming lessons here, and I must say—this is a wonderful place. All the employees are professional, kind, and patient. My son can be very challenging at times, but they have managed to work with him with great care and respect. I highly recommend this place! I've already referred all of my family members, and they’ll be signing their kids up soon. Thank you to everyone for all the support!

Goldfish is a great facility with a wonderful staff! My daughter (9) usually loves swim class but was reluctant to get in the water for her lesson today. Her instructor, Artem (?spelling?), saw this and was INCREDIBLE making her feel welcome and confident to get in the water. She had a blast, learned a lot from him, and is excited for her next lesson!

Goldfish Swim School in Shoreline, WA, has been a fantastic experience for our family! We enrolled our 10-month-old when he was just 6 months old, and we've been consistently impressed with the program.

From the moment we walked in, the facility was welcoming and clean, creating a perfect environment for young swimmers. The pool area is designed with kids in mind, featuring warm water, bright colors, and plenty of toys to keep the little ones engaged.

One of the standout aspects of our experience has been the instructors, and we want to give a special shout out to Lauren. Lauren has been nothing short of amazing! She has a natural ability to connect with the children, making them feel comfortable and confident in the water. Lauren’s instruction is clear and encouraging, and she always ensures that each child receives individual attention.

Overall, Goldfish Swim School in Shoreline has exceeded our expectations. The combination of a fantastic facility, well-structured classes, and exceptional instructors like Lauren makes it a wonderful choice for introducing young children to swimming. We highly recommend it to other parents!

They cancelled our membership without contacting us and have no record of the conversation allegedly to have occurred. My daughter is sobbing and tears are flowing down her face. Our 3-year-old son loves his swim classes (Junior 1 level)! He's definitely getting better, and trying things with the teachers that he wasn't willing to try with us (e.g. put his ears in the water, tilt his head back in the water, etc.). And as parents, we love all the safety measures (extra lifeguards in addition to teachers, etc.), great customer service folks who always answer the phone, the website portal that is easy to use, the fact that you can easily get a make up session if you miss a class (as long as you call ahead of time), and just in general how well-run Goldfish is. Today was our 1st day of swim school. The staff had the fire department and PSE there as a safety precaution from someone thinking they smelled gas, and once they gave the all clear for safety everyone entered. The staff did a great job getting everything ready, there were plenty of bathrooms/changing rooms, everyone was very friendly and welcoming. I think they did a great job with a hectic start to their day and it was very appreciated. I also like that I do not have to get into the water and my son is learning (2 to 1 ratio in our lane today) directly from a swim instructor. Where the parents sit is basically at the end of the pool on the far end and you observe through glass. He already asked to go back tomorrow. They seem to have their system down and I look forward to continuing with them.

I wish I could say better about Goldfish, but honestly my expectations haven’t been met. We signed our infant up for classes and have been customers for almost a year now. We thought the classes would teach Infant Safety but I do not feel confident after all this time that our daughter would know what to do if she fell into a pool. The teachers, all high school or college students, aren’t well-trained to give you tips on what to do beyond any basic instruction. The Mini 1 and Mini 2 classes are exactly the same except the babies are older. We expected that they would be at least slightly different or more advanced but sadly that’s not the case. Finally, the only payment plans available are weekly. While the makeup class policy is decent (if you let them know in advance you can get a credit for another class), it’s really hard and a bit unreasonable to bring an infant to swim class EVERY week. I wish they offered 2x monthly packages because then there would also be a lot more availability in classes if you do ever need a makeup class.

I recently enrolled my son. He is five and was very nervous to go into the pool. He got up after 10 minutes in water and wouldn't leave my side. One of the staff on duty saw how uncomfortable my son was, coming over to talk with him and bringing a few toys to coax him into the water. That time made a big difference to get him to try floating and kicking in the pool. I really appreciate the effort Justin made to calm him down and gave him the one on one attention he needed in his first swim lesson.

Nice facilities poor customer service. This isn’t the cheapest place, I expected better customer service for the price. The individuals who answer the phone are rarely helpful. Anytime a class is cancelled or you need to miss a class you are given a “make-up token” although the idea is nice we were rarely able to use said tokens within the same week due to lack of availability. Quite disappointing. Tried to freeze our account for the summer (it’s so hard to get in) and likewise are unable to do that due to “corporate policy.” Will opt for other local swim classes in the future. No drowning prevention classes for infants which was also disappointing from a specialized corporation.

I have both my 1.5 yr old son & my 3.5 yr old daughter enrolled in Goldfish Swim School.

This is the first time my son has done swim lessons, & he's loving it. Since it was his first time, we started him in Beginner 1, but after two classes I got a call from the school to let me know that they felt he would do better in Beginner 2, so we moved up. I love the care & attention put on us there. Since he is only 1.5 yrs old, I go in the water with him for that class. I really like our instructor -- she's super sweet, & has a very pleasant demeanor.

My daughter just started swim lesson this summer. We had her enrolled at McMenamins in Bothell for both a group lesson that lasted 8wks & privates that overlapped with the group lesson, & then continued a month past the group lesson (a total of 12 wks). She loved the group lesson, & enjoyed the privates okay. As a parent, I wasn't super thrilled with the outcome of either. Upon moving over to Goldfish Swim School, I just feel so much better about her lessons & the progress I know she'll make. She LOVES the group class & to be with the other kids. She also really, really loved her teacher, who did this funny high five thing, where he'd always miss the high five. She thought it was hilarious.

The atmosphere is very bright & super clean. They're set up with everything one could need or want from a swim school. The staff are all super pleasant to work with -- very helpful & sweet. Its just all around so much better than where we were before. I feel she is going to become a confident swimmer in no time here, & am so glad we switched.

Good activities for babies and toddlers. Started my daughter at 10 months or so. She has fun every week. The older kids learning to swim get very small classes of about 2 or 3. Nice facility

Goldfish Swim has been amazing. The facility is impeccably clean, the staff has great customer service, the pool is warm and instructors as friendly. My 4 year old daughter is smiles from ear to ear, start to finish when we go there weekly.

We have had an incredible experience at Goldfish. I was very disappointed when the therapy pool closed down at Seattle Children's as their lesson program was also good, but Goldfish is an excellent pool, the continuous lesson program provides much-needed continuity, and the instructors are warm, friendly, and effective. We've tried multiple kinds of swim lessons with our three children, and this place is definitely the winner. My only suggestion would be the ability to be notified when an opening occurs in a time slot you'd like to join.

We are delighted to return to Goldfish Swim School after a brief absence due to Covid-19. The management and staff have made considerable changes to their operations to accommodate safe distancing and masking requirements, limiting the lobby and changing room exposure, and the added efforts of cleanliness, they made us feel safe and welcome.

During this crazy 2020 it has been so nice to know that I have a weekly outing with my toddler that we both enjoy. Added bonus--we always get a great nap afterwards.

I used to not think that swim lessons for babies made any sense, and Goldfish Swim School proved me wrong. My toddler can already pull and kick, float on her back (almost independently). Most importantly, she has actually learned safety skills in a fun way. She knows to roll to her back if she finds herself in water unexpectedly. She knows that the wall behind her is the closest when she "jumps" in, she knows how to climb out of a pool. This is knowledge is invaluable. Not only does my daughter LOVE water, I feel safe having her around water. Pair the fun and safe lesson with the heated pool and the wonderful facilities and I can't imagine anything place else I'd want my daughter to learn how to swim.

Goldfish Swim School in Shoreline is doing a phenomenal job of following safety guidelines while also providing a fun, safe, and educational experience for kids.

Adore this school. The facility is clean and beautiful and very well thought out. Huge pool - super warm. Tons of bathrooms, showers, cubbies, changing rooms. Tons of viewing chairs. After 2 lessons at Junior 1 level and my son already knew swim moves and wasn’t afraid of the water. The management is amazing. So nice and friendly. Instructors are outstanding. Highly recommend.
