I had such an amazing time here! Everyone was very welcoming and Ferrah greeted everyone as they came in! I also liked that you could add modifications to make the stretches harder or easier

Lots of great instructors there. Ferrah is awesome! One of the best instructors I've ever had. I really like her energy, her pace/flow, her universally applicable spiritual talk, her pose corrections, etc. As a relative newbie to the Haute style, it certainly kicks my butt and makes me sweat. Always feel like my body and soul are better off the next day.

In one word: “EWW!”. Imagine this: 30 people in a room for 15, it’s 100F+ but actually much hotter because you’re breathing in the steamy air of your neighbors with zero ventilation, you are in a pool of your sweat and your neighbors sweat, and because you have 4 inches between you neighbors your nose hits their butt every time you fold up. And the smell? Overwhelming smell of hot garbage and very bad BO. Frankly, it’s got to be unethical to charge people to be in such an inhospitable space. I’ve done tons of hot yoga and never experienced such unsanitary conditions as this.

Also, I recommend reading the other recent reviews of this place before patronizing it. Very concerning.

After reading other reviews, I can see I’m not the only one who feels this studio prioritizes profit over people. I signed up for a free trial a few months ago and canceled through their website before it ended, yet I was charged $149 a month for four months, $600 total. They said my cancelation was never processed.

When I reached out, we went back and forth multiple times. They confirmed I hadn’t used the membership at all but still refused to issue a refund, offering a 10-class pass instead. As a full-time college student, that amount of money is significant… it’s rent, groceries, and basic necessities.

It’s disheartening to see a yoga studio, a place meant to embody mindfulness and integrity, handle a situation like this with so little compassion. I hope others are cautious before signing up for their “free trial.”

It was my first time at this studio and I will not be back. I signed up for a Sunday noon class only to arrive to 35 bodies packed into a small room. Our mats were literally touching each others and we were sweating all over each other—I find this disgusting in hot yoga. The instructor was good, but did not modify the flow for how packed the room is so we were queued to do many side bends, wide legged forward folds into each others butts, and even inversions!! I love I inversions but it was not possible to do with how jam packed it was.

I’m always really disappointed when a studio chooses to be greedy and collect the maximum $$ possible instead of just capping the class to make it a comfortable experience for everyone. I will take my business elsewhere in the future.

I am quite saddened by the business practice behind this studio. The instructors were great and shared loving practices for relief. Unfortunately, considering the money I lost and the time I need to work to recuperate the funds…the two weeks of trial yoga was not worth the stress their business management has caused.

They automatically charge your card without any email notifications or reminders. I only realized this when checking my credit card statement, but I was charged for two months for a total of $300. It was my error in forgetting to cancel; I was moving, a lot of other life things to manage. I originally figured that it should be easy to get my money back based on my in-person experience with the crew and because they will have a clear record that I didn’t use any classes in the last two months. Unfortunately, no.

Their email responses make me feel like I should count my blessings that I was only charged for two months and not a full year.

I thought this was a people-oriented studio. Nope, they prioritize the written contract, where we agree to be automatically charged without notification (It was constantly reiterated that that’s what I signed. Yes, thank you for all the reminders AFTER charging me for two unused months).

In a tech heavy city like Seattle, is it that difficult to find a way to send automatic emails to your students when you already automatically charge them? What is the reasoning there? This is also not the first incident. That it’s still an ongoing issue and that they would rather fight the refund requests than implement a friendly and more considerate system is telling.

I signed up for a monthly membership at this business through a third-party app called MINDBODY. I assumed I would be able to cancel the membership through the same platform, but there was no option to do so. I even tried removing my payment method from MINDBODY, but it didn’t work, and my credit card was charged for two additional months.

During those two months, I did not attend a single yoga class, yet they continued charging my card. I reached out to the merchant, and they initially promised to refund at least one month’s charge. However, after waiting for a week with no progress, I followed up and was told to email someone else. After multiple calls and even visiting the location in person, I was still bounced around between different people with no resolution.

My request is straightforward: I want a refund for the two months of charges during which I did not use the service. It is unreasonable that I cannot cancel the membership through the same platform where I signed up and that the business is refusing to process the refund they originally promised. This has wasted a significant amount of my time and energy without any resolution.

This studio is amazing. I recently moved out of Seattle and one of the things I miss most is this yoga studio. The teachers are incredibly knowledgeable and expertly guide you through fun and rewarding classes. You always come out feeling better than when you went in. I am writing this review as I am trying to find a studio in San Diego that comes close - as of yet, no luck. I really appreciate all the people, students and teachers alike, at HauteYoga/ShefaYoga (their sister location). If you hate going deep into a fulfilling yoga practice and having an awesome time doing so with wonderful people, avoid HauteYoga. But, if you enjoy personal growth and development physically, mentally and socially - look no further.

Great classes & teachers. Schedule is varied enough I can always find a time to go. Studio is clean. Staff is friendly. Not a lot of parking, but it’s Queen Anne so to be expected — just yourself a few extra minutes so you can park in neighbor up from it and walk over (nbd).

This is not a comment on the yoga instruction, but how they run their business. My wife is a member and enjoys the classes. But their business practices are predatory - to the detriment of members.

In August, my wife invited me to try a class and I did, signing up for the $27 two week introduction series (this is the only way to "try it out" - you cannot pay per class). I was not a fan of the heat, and didn't return. Shortly after, my mother passed away and I was focused on the accompanying personal issues for a few months. In November I was doing an overdue review of my credit card statement, and realized that Haute Yoga had charged me $159 a month for September, October and November, a total of almost $500. I of course contacted them to see what was going on. They informed me that I didn't cancel my "membership" before the two weeks of the intro course were finished, so they had automatically charged me the monthly membership rate. I wasn't told about this policy when I signed in. Given that you have to register for every class you attend, they had the data that showed I had only attended the one class. Again, I wasn't told about the policy or provided with any paperwork. They informed me it was "in the fine print."

So they are "right" in a legal sense, but as a business leader for the past twenty years, this is just horrible customer service. My wife is a member, some of her friends are members, and they all know this story. We live on Queen Anne, and we've both told others about this - because it's just kinda unbelievable. So I cannot recommend this studio based on their putting a few hundred dollars above the satisfaction of both new and existing customers. If they'd refunded me even something, I would be recommending them here instead of posting the above.

Proceed carefully. Read the fine print.

And I just reviewed the response from the "owner" below. I double-checked my e-mail, and I received no e-mails about billing. My wife (who is a monthly member) has never received any e-mails related to billing either. And if there was a 30-day grace period, the "fair" thing would have been to refund me at least one month of fees. Again, just very poor customer service, and a complete disregard for its members.

I was an out of town visitor supporting who I thought was the small friendly neighborhood yoga studio. The staff encouraged me to sign up for the two week deal since I was taking more than one class. I’ve now paid $400 in auto pay memberships from Minneapolis and Alexis the membership manager of the conglomerate that represents QAHY will not issue refunds because ‘they take their contract seriously’. Actually so seriously they do not verbally disclose all their serious terms at signing nor provide a copy of the contract to the external party for review.

I understand contractual stipulations and why default auto-pay is a great business tactic. I actually came for yoga and an experience representing values imbued in the tradition of their Yoga name.

The actual studio was cute, the asana was challenging, and the kind teachers probably would represent themselves differently if they didn’t have to.

Support your neighborhood yoga studio, but make sure they are who they sat they are inside and out!

I went to Leah's class and it felt like an event. It was far more inspiring and liberating than I anticipated. It was a welcoming atmosphere, where trying new things was encouraged and praised (helpful when you are new). I was too busy taking in the good vibes to be concerned with what my body was or wasn't doing. Is it possible to be both so grounded in your body, while completely transcending it at the same time? Well, that's what class was for me.

I am saddened and disappointed in this studio, and the owner. I was a student of theirs for many years, and I am horrified by their behavior. They are facilitating maskless hot yoga classes, and staying open despite the Governor’s COVID orders on in person fitness classes. This is a completely reckless, irresponsible, and selfish choice on the owner’s behalf. By staying open and having maskless classes, they are posing a major public health threat to the Seattle community. They are going to make people very sick, and potentially kill people. To make it worse, the owner is flouting her choices on the news and social media, as if her decision to do this is virtuous and brave.

I hope the owner takes a deep look at herself, and her choice to rebel against being accountable to her community.

This is shameful behavior, and is not what yoga is about.

Fine studio, but they are putting their patrons and our community at risk by holding in person classes. We are all in this together, and businesses like this blatantly disregarding safety procedures is a part of what had led to this pandemic going on so long. In a time when so many beloved QA businesses have really stepped up, Hauteyoga puts lives and community at risk. Disappointed to say the least.

One of the better practices I’ve experienced in Seattle. They have really honed in on what is important and mastered it. They have wonderful, well versed instructors, that are helpful, and great human beings in general. The facility is simple and straight to point with a small shop of necessities in front, some lockers, and a perfect-temperature studio.
The studio is nice too, with a full wall mirror on and a garden window on the far side. “Turn towards the mirror... hips to the garden side”, are helpful, but throwing in any mention of a garden while stretching immediately elevates the relaxing experience. 60 minute sessions are perfect to get an adequate practice in wether you are focusing on postures or flow.
It’s private and comfortable, and highly recommended to visit.

This is a great Queen Anne hot yoga studio. You can park on the street or in below-grade garage. The Class schedule is mostly robust, although adding a late night Thursday and more Saturday classes would be ideal. Almost all classes are 60 minutes. There are no showers and only 1 toilet for 35 room capacity. The studio itself is smaller than most, and the floor is not mapped for optimal mat placement or instructor space. Studio setting has a nice ambience with dim lights, candles in a large window overlooking private courtyard. Instructors are top-notch and vary in style/intensity/classtype. The monthly or unlimited packages will run $100+, which is somewhat competitive to other studios. However, in my experience most other studios offer showers and 90m classes. I really enjoy this studio, but after purchasing the intro offer I don't see myself committing to a full package mostly due to class schedule and duration, and the facility.

After coming here regularly for a year and a half, I can't bring myself to pay for a monthly membership. The classes are perfectly fine, but the facility itself is lacking. One bathroom (for all 40+ students), an awkward locker space, no place to really change if you come from work - unless you want to stand in line for the one bathroom. Small room, too, so rarely am I not feeling mere inches away from my neighbor at best. All of this is forgivable, until you factor in that the monthly fees are +$100 and the rarely-touched merch space isn't going anywhere. :/ I would love to come here more, since its super convenient location-wise, but I feel there are much better studios at the same (or lower) price point. I really like the classes and teachers, its just that the 5 other local studios are equally great with content and teaching, and have put way more time/$ into the facility. :( I'm sure I'll be back occasionally, but I wouldn't invest in it long term until more thought is put into customer experience.

I did try the Sunday class and it was so much better than the first class. The first class was too crowded. However, I did like the instructors on both classes and all the readings. Over all it’s a friendly and relaxing place.

This is one of my FAVORITE yoga studios in Seattle (and I've been to a lot!). The instructors are the best of the best and the atmosphere of the studio is wonderful. Go!!
