Very impressed with the quality and customer service of this gym. Ironworks already had a great reputation, but the new owner has really put time and dedication into making this gym even better with new equipment and welcoming newcomers. The community and the environment here is something that you won't find at the chain gyms.

Ironworks is truly a gem for anyone in Bellevue looking to build a sustainable, healthy routine and lifestyle. This gym delivers on that promise in spades. It doesn't matter if you're a beginner taking your first step, a dedicated regular, or a seasoned pro—they have all the necessary, top-quality equipment you could ever need.
Beyond the facility itself, I can't say enough positive things about the staff and trainers. They are genuinely professional, incredibly friendly, and highly knowledgeable. They create an environment that is welcoming and motivating, not intimidating.
A special shoutout is due to my trainer, Rohit, who is exceptional. He truly understands my personal fitness journey and has developed a routine that is challenging yet perfectly tailored to my goals.
On the practical side, the experience is seamless: there is plenty of parking, access is easy, the facilities are consistently well-maintained, and the long operating hours make fitting in a workout simple.
If you are looking for a community and a facility that supports every stage of your fitness life, I will highly recommend Ironworks.

The best gym in Washington! IronWorks has played an instrumental role in my fitness journey. Every time I go to the gym I feel inspired and energized by the positive energy. This place is nasty. Looks like a jail house gym. You have to rent towels from an old newspaper dispenser. The “locker room” is atrocious.

As a beginner this place is great. Don't feel like I'm judged and staff is pretty friendly. I've been going here for 8+ months and super happy with the experience.
There are enough machines, free weights and benches to get a good workout without having to wait for too long.

It's a great place for serious lifters. I love Ironworks gym. Its a place where people are very serious and intense about their workouts while also being very encouraging and welcoming. It's a community of awesome individuals doing amazing work and loving it. If im doing a heavy lift, others will cheer me on or congratulate me. The staff members are very friendly. It doesn't matter if you are big or small, lifting heavy or light, you are respected because you showed up. They have plenty of weights for the workouts i do. I have to say the women's locker room is better than I've seen in other similar gyms. They keep it clean and tidy. I love going to the gym and feel at home here.

Best gym in the Seattle area. I pay the $20 day pass fee because I’m from out of state, which is nothing for the Bellevue area. Hours are excellent for a staffed gym, tons of equipment especially for leg day. Members and employees are friendly. Please know this is not a glamour gym, this is for serious training and muscle building. If you want a spa and pool and to wear cute workout clothes, go to Lifetime and pay $90 for a day pass.

Best gym in WA hands down. I’d ideally not write a review to gatekeep this gym but it’s just too good not to wanna support it. Best machines, best owners, best overall vibe, they got all the old school iron plates that just make the gym the best. They got saunas that actually get pretty hot and the people that go here are all very nice and not arrogant douchebags like other gyms. I’ll probably have this as my home gym for the rest of my life as long as I live in the area. Couldn’t say a bad thing about this place. 10/10

This is the best gym in the downtown Bellevue area. Old school vibes, cast iron plates. Older but exceptionally maintained equipment. It’s a great price if you pay for the whole year up front, I paid for a month and then I paid for the year and haven’t regretted it. Plus everyone is really friendly there, it’s really helping with my new year resolution to step out of my comfort zone and be friendlier, and find a third place— since I’m kind of a grouch.

Big fan of this gym. I built a gym at my house but I still go to Ironworks and have a trainer there because I like the vibe and I get more motivated working out there. The gym is home to some competitors but it's also very welcoming to someone who may be getting started in their fitness journey. I've worked with a couple of trainers and they were both very knowledgable about their craft. I've been with Danny the last couple of years and he has been a great trainer who listens to my needs and tries to find the right balance between pushing me hard and keeping me safe. The former owner Tim is always there and is a cool dude. I've also met the new owner Rohit, who is very friendly and appears committed to making this gym even better, judging by all the new high end equipment since he took over. Overall, great place with great vibes.

The BEST gym on the Eastside. No frills but every piece of equipment you can ever desire.
Always clean. Friendly staff. Many regulars.
Three big rooms - one is full of weight lifting items. 4 squat racks and more smith machine variants. Deadlifting bumpers. 2 bench presses and an incline.
Lots of hammerstrength machines!
Free weights up to 200+ lbs for the body builders.
Next room has lots of cardio machines and your more traditional machine lifts.
Last room has an open area for abs. Tons of kettlebells. More free weights and a decline bench. Also a sled push and battle ropes.
There’s everything here. Amazing prices. I can’t imagine Bellevue without Ironworks!!
I love this gym! My wife too!
Never feels too crowded.

A sweet gym. I have moved out of country but love coming back here when back in the states.
The only gym I enjoy going to even if it is a far drive from where I am staying.
The monthly price is pretty much unbeatable compared to “health clubs” charging hundreds of dollars a month.
All the equipment you need. And very nice workout machines that really hit the sweet spot and get a good pump.
Cardio, bench press, dumbbells, squat/power racks.
Everything you’d find in a “commercial” gym but more of a home vibe and lots of dedicated members/ all fitness levels.
No weird vibes there. Just serious training
Sauna that gets pretty hot as well if you want to use it, shower, bathroom, water fountain etc.
And vending machine with some C4/Reign in it if you need a extra kick
Great Enviroment for a gym and hard training sessions.
Also lots of cool photos that show the love for bodybuilding and dedication that you can take when challenging the human body to its peak

The Bodybuilding Mecca of Seattle!
I was in Bellevue on a business trip visiting from Orlando for three days and how lucky am I to have found IronWorks Gym less than two miles from the hotel I was staying in.
This is a true old school bodybuilding gym... The owner is a super friendly and present guy, engaging with the members and making sure everything at the gym is in order. Most importantly, he really made me feel at home. He charged me $20 per day which I found to be more than fair for my visit...
The gym is not huge but it is still deceivingly big once you step inside, the walls are filled with signed pictures of elite level athletes, bodybuilders, and celebrities (even Bill Gates paid them a visit)... As well as trophies and unique fitness memorabilia.
Locker room is very small but clean and has enough lockers to lock your stuff away safely and comfortably.
There's enough cardio equipment which I used and was in great condition. There is a turf area for more functional training... But I did not use that area.
The highlight is obviously the weight room and resistance training area, which again, I have to say it's really amazing how great they truly capitalized on the space.... everywhere I turn I find yet another machine available and hidden in one of the corners. There are a couple of power cages, a nice big squat rack, two smith machines, leg presses, and super nice IVANKO dumbbells going up to 200 lbs.... That's right... Ronnie Coleman would've had no problem lifting there. The machines are primarily Hammer Strength and Life Fitness but there are also a few other unique and specialty brands that were available and fun to use.
The clientele was nice and friendly primarily made up of young techies and serious fitness athletes... Interesting mix :-) but still really nice people all around.
When I was there I had a chance to rain at 5 am right when they open and at 3 pm... I prefer the 5 am work out... Primarily because that's my usual training time but also because 3 pm was a bit too busy for my taste... Although I have to say it was wonderful training in the afternoon when the sun was shining through the glass walls and the doors were left open which brought in the amazing Seattle mountain breeze. I loved it.
Honestly, as important as my work meetings were, visiting IronWorks Gym was absolutely the highlight of my trip. Can't wait for my next visit back! Thanks for making me feel at home!

I went to Iron Works Gym to get a workout in a week prior to my powerlifting competition here in Canada. They had all the barbells, racks and weights that I needed for SBD. (pounds only, no KG Olympic plates). Very friendly and helpful staff and the majority of the members were friendly as well. A very clean gym with a lot of equipment and was a good temperature as well.

From the moment I stepped into Iron Works in Bellevue, Washington, it was clear this wasn't just any gym. The welcoming atmosphere is palpable, with a diverse community that mirrors the vibrant tapestry of life outside its doors. Whether you're someone who appreciates the authenticity of real iron plates or the variety of accessory machines, Iron Works caters to all with professionalism and respect.
What sets Iron Works apart isn't just its impressive range of equipment, suitable for those who take their lifting seriously, but also the subtle ways it creates a space where everyone feels like they belong. There's an unspoken understanding here that strength comes in many forms and that everyone's journey is unique. The staff and members alike create an environment that champions progress, not just in physical strength but in fostering a community that uplifts every individual.
For those of us who value not just the physical aspect of a workout but also the sense of community and inclusivity, Iron Works is a beacon. It's a place where barriers are broken down, and the focus is on what unites us: a passion for health, respect for each other's journeys, and the shared goal of becoming our best selves. This gym is a testament to the beauty of diversity and the strength of unity.
In a world where finding a truly welcoming space can be a challenge, Iron Works stands out as a sanctuary for all. Whether you're here to break your personal lifting record or to find a community that embraces everyone with open arms, you'll find your place here. Iron Works isn't just a gym; it's a cornerstone of a community where every individual, regardless of their background, is celebrated for who they are and encouraged in their pursuit of wellness.
Five stars for Iron Works, not just for the quality of its facilities but for the quality of its heart. Here's to a place that truly understands the importance of lifting each other up, in all the ways that matter.

Best gym in town. I have been going to IronWorks for almost six months now, and I love it! The gym is clean and very well-equipped with a great variety of machines, weights, and cardio equipment. The staff is friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. Tim, the humorous owner, is always there to help. Their trainers are professional, motivating, and fun.
I especially appreciate Sarah, my coach. She was a state champion body builder. She makes sure my form is correct and I’m working with the right muscle group. She knows when to push me to work harder and when to take a break and stretch. I have seen amazing results since I joined IronWorks.

I have been to Iron Works in the past and it is an okay gym. However, the large signs they have outside their space often make it feel less welcoming. Today, they had a large sign that one one side said “fit arms and thighs… or a cheeseburger and fries?”. This guilt-based rhetoric is common, especially around New Years, but I think this is harmful both at large and to the atmosphere of the gym.

Decent selection of equipment/machines, but there are some areas that could definitely use some improvement. The squat racks are extremely old and have awkward adjustment mechanisms (uses a bolt, instead of a hook which is way quicker). Barbells are also on their last legs. There's somehow only 2 incline benches in the main lifting area, and both of them are pretty terrible (both have no wheels, one is completely non-adjustable and other is not very adjustable). I think in general you could probably get rid of all the benches in the dumbbell area and just replace them with adjustable benches; would solve this issue completely. Wish there was a little more selection for legs (gym has 2 leg presses and 1 hack squat). All in all not bad compared to the commercial gyms in the area; I much prefer the atmosphere in this gym vs. somewhere like 425 fitness, but wish they would reinvest a bit more into equipment as it seems like many things haven't been touched for 20-30 years.

Great gym!! Went here for a year Aug 21 - Jun 22 and had no regrets. I only left because I'm moving to another state. This is a no-nonsense gym that is perfect for people who just want to workout, and at a price that is way better than the other more frilly gyms. I never used a trainer, but there are several there who all seemed great. There's a good mix of cardio equipment, cables/machines, free weights, and an artificial turf area for other exercises. I'm used to military gyms and felt right at home.

I have been to some awesome gyms in Canada and USA. That being said, I feel like my expectations and standards are a bit higher than normal. I absolutely love working out at Iron Works for multiple reasons.
First of all, this gym doesn’t make you feel intimated at all. I remember walking in on my first day and asking for help with a few equipments and everyone was extremely helpful. Even though, back then I did not know what I was doing with a few machines that I wasn’t familiar, I felt like the staff was always helpful and never judgmental . I love how when I am working out, Tim (the owner), will always give me good tips on proper form and how to lift correctly. I feel like in other gyms, you would not get this type of treatment because they are either too big or people are not as caring.
Second of all, I love how in the middle of pandemic, everyone is extremely good about wiping their equipment and using their masks. I also see on a daily basis, one of the staff members cleaning every single spot in the gym. Bathrooms and the entire facility is always impeccable and extremely clean. This certainly makes me feel a lot more comfortable working out there.
Lastly, the parking and location is amazing. I never have issues with parking and love how well located this place is. If you are in the market for a gym in Bellevue, you should definitely give this place a try and you won’t be disappointed!

This is a real gym! The only downside is that they play daytime drama TV, A real gym like this needs to play UFC or get rid of the TVs.

Easily the best gym in Washington, and I’ve been to a lot. If you’re serious about moving weight, this is your spot. Friendly staff, great weights, plenty of space. Extremely clean as well, they make it feel like you are a part of something instead of a number paying dues. You won’t get doughnuts or comfort here, but you will more than likely find results. Whats not to love?

Great gym. Been going there for almost 35 years. All types of members from beginners (great trainers available) to bodybuilders/powerlifters. They also have a cross fit area. Tons of machines and weights. Cannot remember a time when I had to wait to get on a bench or machine. Check it out if looking for a gym.

I am from California and visit Redmond on business frequently. Today, I went to this gym and it was an awesome experience. They had a very inexpensive drop in rate. I use the stronglifts program and this gym had 3 squat racks with olympic barbells and weights, basically everything I needed. The place was moderately crowded but the squat racks were freely available. The gym is very well maintained and the people were friendly. I will use this gym from now on whenever I travel to Redmond.

Friendly and unpretentious. The equipment is older, but they have a great selection and it is all well maintained. Extremely tidy, and it shows that the members and staff all care about the space. Very friendly and positive atmosphere, rare and unlike any gym I have ever seen!

A gem! Traveling to the area and run across IronWorks. Old school no frills gym with everything you need. Positive atmosphere, good variety of equipment and a family feeling you’ll never get in a chain gym. I’ll be back!!

This is the last family run gym around. If you want a health club or spa then this is not the place. If you want a weight room then come here. Great personal trainers as well.

This gym is outstanding. I went here during lunch for about 2 years while I was working on the Microsoft campus. The people are great, it was never crowded, it has every piece of equipment you could possibly need, and the prices are unbeatable.
I'd still be a member there if I lived or worked anywhere nearby.

Great value and not full of creepy guys. Has all the equipment I could desire and no pushy personal trainers (there are personal trainers but they're nice). It's never too crowded and parking is easy. No classes offered which is a plus for me and the other gym members are polite and respectful.

IronWorks is a locals' gym for athletes and natural hardcore lifters. It's full of awesome equipment, especially in the astroturf/IronFit room that has specialized equipment than you'll find at ANY gym (I've looked). I started going when I lived nearby and continue going years later, and I live way out in the Snoqualmie Valley now with at least a dozen gyms that are closer. Membership cost is affordable, staff are extremely nice and helpful, and the clientele are my friends and neighbors. There are some excellent trainers that work out of there and handle a wide range of clientele. The owners are also there a lot working out and training, which is a level of honesty and integrity that you can't beat. I have considered switching to a gym that's closer to my house but I just can't find one that justifies leaving IronWorks. I have only one criticism, which is air circulation: During summer months it gets too hot in there and while they have numerous roll up garage doors on one side of the building it doesn't create enough air flow. Adding more ceiling fans would help a lot.

Iron Works has a very old vibe that cant seem to escape the 1970's. I tried a one month membership and that was all i needed. The equipment is ancient and the weight area is small and cramped. However, this gym is a great change of scenery from nationwide franchise gyms, with a great old school and serious atmosphere. Honestly in my opinion, if your under 45 years old it is not a great permanent gym.

The gym is like in a garage, don't expect it to be a nice place. Also many machines are designed for tall people and aren't adjustable, I'm a short person and had difficulty using some machines. This gym is ok if you're just joining for a short time, but definitely not for a long term.

This is a very down market gym. It is old and in need of a serious facelift. The workout floor is dominated by trainers who act as if they own the place. they make you feel like you are in the way. The locker room is like someone's basement. They have only a few cardio machines and these are old and often broken.

Great atmosphere, great staff, great equipment. Very reasonably priced. Most of the staff has been there for years, there isn't much turnover. There aren't a lot of frills, but it's a great place to get a workout.
