I practiced traditional hot yoga at Junction Hot Yoga a handful of times. I’m most grateful to the studio for holding a 90-minute original hot yoga class on Christmas day; it was such a treat to be able to practice on this day, thank you! The studio also offers 90-minute OHY class on Friday evenings that is a rare find as it has gotten harder to find full-length, traditional classes. The teachers are friendly and welcoming, and it’s a beautiful space. My favorite aspect of the studio/community is the friendliness of other yogis.

Great studio. Heavily bikram/ghosh focused. I personally much prefer the yin and vinyasa classes, and really wish there was a weeknight power vinyasa after 5 pm for people who work 9-5.

Best yoga studio in Seattle! A true yoga practice, not just an exercise class. Amazing teachers like Audrey, Lorenzo, and Marva. Different classes to choose from with different heat levels such as ghosh, vinyasa, and yin. The hot classes are my favorite though!

I have been doing hot yoga for years. They are using heater blowing hot air. In hot weather, it can cause problem to people who is not in great shape that day. Hot yoga has specific equipement for the hot air, not the heater for winter. The class is 1.5 hour and it is too much to be in an extreme hot air room for 1.5 hour in a hot weather. Second, I forgot my mat and they asked me to rent and paid $4. This is not big amount. But compared to other west seattle yoga studios, others are more friendly and willing to just let you use their mat. I do not like it and do not comfy doing yoga like that temperature and that type of heater. And, I did not feel friendliness when I entered the door.

I've been a fan of the studio for a few years now and wanted to share the love. The classes are amazing, its like a full reboot for your body and mind. The feeling after leaving class is like the best natural high ever. Supportive instructors who push you but also remind you to tailor the practice to where you are at that moment on that day. Am loving the new instructor Samantha who just started teaching on Fridays. Thanks JHY!

For anyone who has done hot yoga and said ‘it’s just not for me’ or ‘I can’t handle the heat’, I promise it’s worth trying JHY. I’ve been to other studios where the heat feels absolutely draining, and I’m so glad I gave it a go at JHY because the humidity and heat levels are perfect. It turns out it doesn’t have to be normal to feel wiped after a hot yoga class!
JHY offers a variety of classes and styles of yoga, including classes focused in the Ghosh Lineage. Within two months of starting a regular yoga practice at JHY, the plantar fasciitis that I had been dealing with for two years completely disappeared. The motion induced nausea that had me stopping multiple times on road trips with long winding roads also disappeared.
I came to JHY after many years of being out of a yoga practice and I was so thankful and impressed with the general culture of inclusivity and acceptance at JHY. It does not matter whether you’re years into your yoga practice or just starting out. Instructors will work with you where you are at. This isn’t just for hardcore yogis, though if you are one, you’ll find your people here 😊 The dedication of the teachers and staff truly comes from passion and love of yoga and it makes this place sparkle ✨
It is a beautiful studio, kept meticulously clean, and kept with love.

I really enjoy yoga here! Especially hot yoga! It’s traditional and can be both fun and serious. I am about to fully concentrate in positions and have grown so much in just a year of inconsistently going. I bought an anniversary pack of classes and it fits my workout style. I highly recommend.

Very happy with JHY. The facility is clean. There's a nice locker room with two good showers, and the yoga room is great - it's large and has a really good floor. And the temperature isn't too hot for me. It's definitely warm but I've never felt like it was too hot like I have in some studios. And, most importantly, staff and owners are great especially Audrey who is a wonderful teacher. Kind, very knowledgeable and supportive. Highly recommend JHY!

This incredible studio is a joyful place for me! I've been coming here for about 3 months. I have chronic illness/pain with symptoms that can present differently from day to day. Yoga is the exercise I can almost always do. After a few years of off-and-on home practice, I wanted the accountability and instruction of a studio, and am very happy with JHY. Attending this studio has done wonders for my pain, dizziness, balance, and muscle tightness, and has overall improved my daily function. Additionally, JHY is a great source of stress relief after work (home health/hospice) that helps me transition from some of the heavier moments of my workday. I always look forward to being here.

The studio is thoughtfully laid out. The practice room is private and set away from the street, so that passerby can't watch you from the sidewalk. Skylights allow natural light, and ceiling lights are diffused through paper lanterns. As someone who struggles with bright overhead lights, this is lovely! There are wall supports for those who desire handholds for balance. Equipment/props are well stocked and the space is very clean. There is a locker room area with showers, changing rooms, and lockers. I love that the practice room is a cellphone-free space. Also love that there is no music or incense.

Every instructor is knowledgeable, welcoming, and skilled. I enjoy taking the 26/2 class from a variety of instructors, as they each give cues that push me in different ways--special shout outs to Audrey, Lorenzo, and Mike! Instruction is a kind balance between challenge and empathy; they will push you, but always emphasize the importance of listening to your body. All ages, genders, ability levels, and body types are welcome here.

The monthly membership is reasonably priced, and staggered evening classes are accommodating for most work schedules.

Much gratitude to JHY!

Big shout out to Stephanie, Nicole, & Audrey for always giving us students extra support with our poses. So that, we can have the best, maximum benefits possible from our practice!

The facilities are exceptionally clean, welcoming, and offers free lockers for your stuff. Also, JHY is celebrating their Birthday/Anniversary through the month of September with huge savings! There’s no better time than now to join, so please tell your friends! :)

I have had the pleasure of attending Junction Hot Yoga regularly for the past year. In my 15 years of practice I have never discovered as much strength, depth, confidence, and fun as I have here. Each of the incredible teachers offer unique cues, thoughtful guidance and heartfelt encouragement that has expanded what I am capable of and has me excited about my future potential. The JHY team is truly rooting for you and your highest well-being. No matter where you are on your yoga journey, or on any given day, you will feel supported. The studio is bright and inviting with historic charm. The space has provided yoga to the West Seattle community in some form for decades. I love practicing next to familiar faces and together being a part of continuing this special lineage. I am grateful to have been so warmly welcomed into this sweet experience and honored to call Junction Hot Yoga my go-to neighborhood yoga studio.

I absolutely love going to this yoga studio!

The teachers are amazing - they have a gentle approach and really focus on the breath, which helps me stay present in the moment. I appreciate how they balance talking and quiet time during class, and the fact that they don't play music (you can even hear the rain sometimes!) really helps me connect with those around me. They also create a welcoming environment where everyone, regardless of their level, feels like they belong. Plus, they're flexible about drinking water and allow some freedom in poses as long as it doesn't disturb the class.

The studio itself is incredible! I've been practicing hot yoga for over a decade and have been to many (and I mean many) studios, but this one is by far my favorite. The yoga room is one big hallway with high ceilings, warm lighting, and skylights. This “hallway” leads the back of the studio where there are bathrooms, showers, and storage space. I love the floors - they're more cushioned than usual but not too soft, so you don't sink in. Audrey, the owner, put a lot of thought and love into the studio, and it shows in every detail.

The heat in the classes is just right - not too intense, but hot enough to make you sweat. Depending on where you stand in the room, the temperature can vary, but I find that the back is hotter than the front and sides are cooler than the middle. The variety of classes is fantastic - they offer Restorative, Nidra, Bikram, Vinyasa, and even meditation on some Sundays! As someone who loves Restorative yoga, I appreciate that they have that option. My only suggestion would be to offer a more affordable single class option.

If you're considering trying this studio out, I highly recommend it! The whole space and community are incredibly welcoming, and I've enjoyed getting to know the thoughtful and caring teachers, including Lorenzo who introduced me to the studio. Give it a shot - you won't regret it!

Trying the 3 weeks new client offer - loved every class so far. Times are also so convenient, I could easily drop by after work (6pm+ classes), and getting a spot is also easy - not a huge line up or wait list. The instructors are also good and welcoming. Only thing I wish they had are lockers for valuables, but it feels pretty safe inside anyways.

Love this studio. Have been practicing here off and on for a few years and have nothing but great things to say about the space itself as well as the ownership and management. I have been to a few studios in West Seattle, but what makes this one stand out is it's size since it is large enough to accommodate a good amount of people without feeling crowded. Also, the staff has always been very friendly, welcoming, and accommodating. Love seeing and supporting small businesses like this in our lovely WS neighborhood!

Great studio for hot/Bikram yoga! All the instructors I have encountered are friendly, competent and each have their unique style. I've always had good luck with Bikram yoga when I had musculoskeletal issues. Frozen shoulder, knee issues, back issues etc. Aggravated my knee doing construction and after a few months at JHY it seems close to normal again. Great place to go during the long winter.

I started going to Junction Hot Yoga in October 2021 to try to resolve creeping middle-age aches and pains: debilitating sciatica caused by piriformis syndrome (a muscle irritating the sciatic nerve, resulting in crippling back, buttock, and leg pain) as well as thoracic outlet syndrome (a painful shoulder nerve irritated by tight muscles in my chest or neck, or poor posture). I also suffered from tendonosis (tennis elbow) and had some stress fractures over the years, so all in all, I wasn’t feeling great when I started. Every day it seemed I woke up to some nagging pain. I had already been to physical therapy for these issues with limited or impermanent results over the prior year or two.

I am thrilled to say that 9 months into my yoga journey of 2-3 classes per week, 95% or better of those annoying or even debilitating pains have resolved themselves. And I also feel younger, like 5 or 10 years has been taken off my age just by walking to class and putting in my best effort a few times per week. I’m not that athletic or strong, and I still struggle in quite a few poses, but I’m getting a little bit better every month. Also, my trainer at the gym has commented how my flexibility in my shoulders is much better than his other 40-something computer worker clients, and I attribute a lot of that to doing yoga here. Most important to me, though, is living a pain-free life again—that’s what I came for, and I’ve got that pain-free mojo back again!

One of the owners, Audrey, is one of the most encouraging, patient, and humble yoga instructors I’ve met. She makes efforts throughout the class and in different ways to remind students “the best you can do is perfect.” And offers variations of poses for different ability levels. You never feel like you need to be an Instagram yoga guru to participate in a class here and receive noticeable benefits over time with continued practice. Audrey and the team have created a grounded and welcoming space for all skill levels.

It took me about 30 days of going 2-4 times a week, and then I started to feel the benefits clearly, with greater duration and frequency of improvements as the months passed. I especially enjoy the Yin Yoga for deep, sustained stretches that get into tight hips and connective tissues that were probably playing a role in my aches and pains.

This is a great studio to go to, especially if you are a new student who might feel intimidated by starting or restarting your practice. The studio is also clean and well-kept.

Really great studio!! I'm happy I can safely practice yoga in a studio setting again :) The layout of the practice room is wide and there is plenty of room to spread out. The flooring in the studio makes it easy for everyone to social distance. It never feels too crowded, and there is a great energy in the room. I also appreciate the air filtration they've got going on during each class, as well as how clean the floors are every time I come in.

It's clear this studio is run by experienced yoga practitioners who have put a lot of care into the setup of the space; there isn't anything frivolous here. At Junction Hot Yoga, you get a safe space to practice with excellent instructors who really care about your well being. They push you to try hard and, at the same time, give helpful cues so you won't injure yourself during practice.

I'm glad to be part of this great community!

My relationship with this yoga space goes back 14 years. Back then it was a darker, moodier space with carpeted floors. It has, over the years, seen many changes of ownership and many upgrades and renovations. This most recent one, though,—Junction Hot Yoga—blows all the previous iterations out the water.

The lobby still gets flooded with sunlight but the fresh coat of paint throughout, the statement mandalas, the pristine new cushioned flooring (like a firmer version of gym mats), the UV filtered practice space makes my hot yoga addict heart flutter.

It is SO clean, bright, fresh, and contemporary with an awesome, knowledgable crew of teachers.

Go! Stretch. Yawn. Push. Recuperate. Restore. You can do it all at Junction.

Today was the day! After just over 50 rotations around the sun I finally got myself to a hot yoga class. Junction Hot Yoga was an ideal studio to launch my journey. The studio was very clean, organized, spacious even with 6 plus feet between attendees. The staff and attendees alike were exceptionally welcoming exuding an ethos of mutual support. More importantly, instruction was phenomenal. It should be noted here that I have never attended a yoga class before and currently posses the felxibility of a light pole. I definitely struggled with many of the poses due to my own limited skill. However, the encouragement was consistent and enduring by Lorenzo such that each of us could access each element of the session at our own developmental level and each still feel the community inspiration and support that group classes offer.
I left feeling stretched--in a good way recognizing where my current fitness is while also leaving with the inspiration offered by Lorenzo and other attendees about what is possible with patience and persistence. I will definitely return to class again as a core elements in reponse to one of the pandemic's most persistent questions: why am I soft in the middle when the rest of my life is so hard? I can't wait to return and keep making progress. Thank you Junction Hot Yoga!

Great instructors and a clean/remodeled studio; highly recommend. I went to two classes during JHY's opening weekend 9/4/21 - 9/5/21. It had been 7 years since I regularly practiced Ghosh 26 style hot yoga so I appreciate that the instructors were accepting of those of all levels (non-judgmental and helpful). I also loved the fact they require proof of COVID-19 vaccination and everyone is social distanced in the studio.
