Terrible customer service. When I signed up for my membership I was only going to pay first and last month because I was moving. I made this very clear to the person selling me my membership. I moved and now they still charge my card monthly. I’ve called multiple times and even though I’ve been told twice that my membership is cancelled I’m still getting charged. The last time I called the guy said I have to mail in a form to cancel my membership. It’s absolutely ridiculous how difficult they have made this. Also the pool has been closed for who knows how long. Worst gym I’ve ever had the displeasure of going to

What’s worse is the huge change in how we were treated before and after joining. The staff was kind and attentive before we signed up, but afterward, they didn’t seem to care. When I raised a concern, the manager dismissed me, saying he had another meeting.

Closes on OCTOBER 16TH 2024! They didn't tell me that when I signed up and acted like they were just Remodeling/ Maintenance on there pool. They got me to commit to a subscription then that following Friday they had no nerve to tell me this and I had to find out through friends and when I showed up no one was working the counter!! I saw literally no employees working! How unprofessional!

4/1/24 - The pool has been closed 6 months, and they aren't in any hurry to get it fixed. If you need it for rehab, go somewhere else.

I talked with the gal at the front desk this morning about the pool and she said the entire fitness location is moving to another area of the mall and that they probably not going to bother fixing the pool here. I see the pool maintenance company here all the time, but apparently, they are sitting in the truck collecting a paycheck instead of fixing the pool

Now 8/20/24 and the pool is still not open and no info from management. (10 months broken)

9/25/24 - update. The facility is closing October 16 and moving to a new location. They supposedly bought the 24 hr fitness on the north side of SilverLake. It is supposed to have newer equipment and pool. It's not near as easy to get there. The other choices are Mill Creek and Mukilteo.

Update: apparently having paper towels was too much hassle so now there's none except in the bathrooms. Makes it awful tough to be sanitary and respectful of other lifters! Bringing my rating down until they address this.

Generally well kept and not too busy, one of the better clubs in the area to be sure! Be 5 stars if they kept the paper towels filled on weekends, and I miss the spray bottles to help keep things clean too. (UPDATE: they now have handy wipe stations all around and you can ask for spray bottles at the counter! Kudos to la fitness! Now if someone could set even one of the TV's to something other than lame sports news and impractical jokers reruns ...)

Only other thing missing is no smoothy bar. But everyone there is awesome, very friendly both employees and guests!

Machines are strategically lined up for your workout needs. Going to the gym is at your finger tipd as theres ample parking spaces and its conveniently next to a bus stop in case you need transportation.

Have a busy day to buy something last minute or meet with friends to grab a bite to eat? This gym has got your back. It was strategically located to be adjacent to a mall where you can get all those done.

This location also has a steam room, separate courts, a pool, cardio machines and lockers (make sure to bring your own lock).

And to top it all off, if that was not enough, the staff is absolutely amazing. Everyone is an expert in their craft. Everyone from the counter staff, to the trainers and managers. They will all go above and beyond to support their you. Im new to this gym location and the employees felt like they immediately turned into close friends.

I have been in treatment for my eating dis0rder for a few years. My first time being able to return to a gym for classes was unfortunately a very upsetting experience.

Comments about "not being able to recognize myself in six months" when I got my picture taken for the ID. I'm in my rec0very body and not looking to l0se weight. Rather, I am trying to become stronger for a dance program.

Folks who work at gyms should at least be somewhat aware of their language. No comments on bodies are necessary.

Please make your staff aware that body diversity...exists. The guy who said it seemed to be on the younger, more immature side, but still...

Also, pushing training on people (whose conditions and choices are unknown to the trainer) is irresponsible.

I will not be returning to this location.

I’ve been looking for a gym closer to me, unfortunately I must leave my other gym of 6/7 years due to the Inconvenience of moving. I understand the gym smells like sweat, but this smells like someone took a two week, old sock from the bottom of a pile and tied it around your face and you had to breathe through it People at the counter were friendly.

I would give this LA a higher score. However, the machines and equipment are definitely showing their age comparatively to the other LA's in the area. Everything is very clean at this location. My one other complaint would be the staff. They don't seem to be of the friendly or welcoming type to this gym. So far, every time I've come in, nothing but mean mugging with no greetings. A bit unprofessional in my eyes. But if you're looking for a place to get a quick workout with no thrills, this is the place.

This gym used to be popular back in the day, but now it's fallen into disrepair. The management focuses only on signing up new members and making money, rather than showing respect, care and maintenance for the gym.The treadmills and staircases are marked "maintenance required" for almost more than a month now. The swimming pool and jacuzzi are closed. Despite my friend and I asking the staff multiple times, their response is always that it'll be fixed within the next week or two, but I've observed no changes. The only reason I stayed here was its location, as it's very close to my house. However, I'm planning to cancel my membership very soon. I don't recommend this gym.

This gym would be ok but the staff had the great idea to rope off an entire section for their clients. This eliminates a large part of the gym and denies you equipment you pay to use. You can just ignore them and use it anyway but not everyone is going to do this. It's extremely greedy and tone deaf. The personal trainers despite having their own super cool roped off section will still go onto the main floor and use equipment you need so there's a healthy dose of hypocrisy at play. The pool was also unusable for almost 5 months and all but one member of the staff could give a hallway decent explanation on why it's out of order. Treadmills and stair masters have been marked "due for maintenance" for months now. This isn't a huge deal for treadmills but there's only 5 stair masters and 2 are due for maintenance (no eta is given when this will be fixed). Unsure if it's a money issue ( which I doubt) or more an issue of incompetence. Wouldn't recommend this gym.

Don’t get me wrong, I love this gym people are so nice you will see lots of members talking with each other. It’s not like other gyms where you feel so awkward. Everett LA is the cleanest between mill creek and Mukilteo locations. BUT carpet is soooo old, when they “wash it” smalls like wet dog. Bathrooms needs more attention you will find rust everywhere in there. And let’s not talk about the sauna. Everett city should be inspecting this soon. Someone can have an accident, the wood there is just about to fall apart.

First it's not very clean. A lot of the time the trash is over full and there are no paper towels in the locker room. More importantly the cardio equipment has aged past its useful lifespan. The treadmills Shake Rattle and Roll and the belts skip on the majority of the machines. These machines are seemingly unsafe. LA Fitness is aware of this issue because I've told them more than once. At this moment in time LA Fitness at the Everett Mall is a low quality, poorly maintained gym. Planet Fitness is cleaner with more up-to-date equipments with the exception of free weights. If I were LA Fitness I would be embarrassed to hear that Planet Fitness was a better gym . That's how low my opinion is of this gym . The staff are pleasant but that only goes so far. Also the pool has been down / unusable for months. This place desperately needs new management.

In town for a week visiting family so I chose this gym.
I've been very impressed by the selection of equipment and how clean things are!
The staff has been super friendly and I couldn't be happier with the service.

This is a great gym, the only problem with LA is they oversell memberships and therefore the place is always overcrowded.

The location is ideal, I never have to fight for a parking spot during peak workout times. The weight and cardio machines are ample and the staff are always friendly.

I’m not usually one to write a negative review, but I recently signed up for an LA Fitness personal trainer last Thursday which I was very excited about. On Monday, within 5 minutes of my first session with the trainer I realized he was super incompetent (didn’t ask me my goals, didn’t suggest any warmups…) so I tried cancelling the trainer contract with the manager, Casey.

She said that I was unable to because I was past the 3 day cancellation period. Come to find out when speaking to a corporate representative (I have this conversation recorded) they should’ve allowed me to submit a cancellation letter at the time directly because it was within the cancellation period (Sunday is not considered a business day). Since then they have been giving me the runaround with very vague answers so I have had to stay on the case. They want to send me to another gym for training 15 mins away or I will have to pay a $1700 cancellation fee!

I am still hopeful about being able to cancel this contract as I was able to send in a cancellation notice later that night on Monday, but am worried that they will deny it being received since the post office was closed and I couldn’t get tracking on the letter.

Overall: I do like the gym and its overall offerings, but am hesitant to keep giving my business to LA fitness when they have made a simple request so difficult (I’ve come to learn this is common with LA fitness). They seem to care more about short term profit over long term customer retention at least in my situation.

Lopez M is excellent manager at LA Fitness. He’s responsive in dealing with all kinds of issues that pop up. I like this location and feel pretty safe here. Equipment is decent for price point and I’m able to get on all my machines, always see cleaning people with smile, front desk friendly.

Super dirty place. That is how 10 of the lockers I tried were. I ended up cleaning one myself and putting paper towels to put my backpack in one. The machines are very sticky . Overall, it's not a place you want to go again. Unfortunately, it is the one close to work. The custodian is just talking to the people exercising and doesn't clean. Really bad experience. 👎

Overpriced for how dirty and broken the equipment is. Also the manager here sucks. I would kill for someone to open a gym in north Everett

Update: came in on 10/18 to cancel my membership at 5:03. They said they only cancel memberships between 9-5. Three minutes late and they wouldn’t do it.

Pretty good, clean, and big. I like old grimy big gyms. More character if you know what I mean. This is a big ole corporate gym. It's nice that they allow visitors for free if you're with a member
