My car was broken into and the police said that they had responded to thousands of break ins / crimes in this parking lot ( It is Federal Way Police Department) . I have urged the corporate office to install higher quality video surveillance so that they can give the police the evidence they need to stop these crimes and prevent them.

One star due to terrible locker and souna, and shower area. I told the manager about all the non-working showers, no hot waters on some showers, some gives warm water, yet a month later, still no fix. locker and shower areas always dirty feel to it. I don't ever see anyone cleaning, although seen a person just picking up trashes, i wonder they ever wipe machines!!!!

It's a nice clean gym. Many varieties of equipment, they have a swimming pool, hot tub and I love the separate courts for racket ball and courts for basket ball as well and a cycling class. Overall, I like this gym, staff are friendly as well.

The manager made me really uncomfortable, was rude, condescending and a jerk.
Will never return to this location.
He said since I’d been a pass member years ago I couldn’t work out with my friend there w/ the guest pass. It’s not mentioned on the guest pass and he was oddly rude about it.
I turned to walk away and he turned to another worker and said “see that’s how you handle that”

He claimed to manage himself, so if you’ve got problems with him good luck talking to anyone else.

If you aren’t doing anything wrong, why deny someone the ability to talk to someone above you?

Dirty, broken equipment and rude staff (except the 2 ladies who work in the morning, they are so sweet and kind). I have been going to this gym for about a year and a half, it’s always had a cleanliness problem, but now they don’t even offer any sanitizer bottles, so you’re just out here working out on some dirty equipment with Leroy and Jane’s sweat all over it. They run out of paper towels often. The equipment is old and always broken, good luck finding an elliptical that actually works properly, one calf machine has had a “scheduled for maintenance” sign on it for 4 months…. When is it scheduled? Who knows? The employees don’t. Literally chose any other gym than this one. Then try canceling your membership? It takes an act of Congress to get it done, you literally have to call your bank to stop payment, then they hound you about it. I would never recommend this gym to anyone. Ever.

I waited for 45 minutes for a manager to help me sign up for a day pass. The manager never arrived.

My fiancé went in a day later to also try out the gym, and was body shamed in an effort to convince her that she needed a membership. The process of simply convincing the staff she would like to have a trial membership took the better part of an hour.

Very bad customer service. I applied for personal training for 6 months. They gave me one session and the trainer disappeared. I asked for a new trainer, they got back to me after two weeks of me nagging them and gave me another trainer. This trainer canceled the session less than 24 hours before the session and disappeared also. I talked to the manager serval times and all they said was sorry. After I called the headquarter of customer service in LA they finally let me join a different gym that gave me a trainer and treated me as a customer not an item. Don't go to this gym and especially don't apply for a trainer.

Good place to work out, WORST PLACE TO TRY TO CANCEL. If you sign up be well aware that its a huge pain to try and cancel. I've now called once and been in person 4 times to try to cancel and the manager was not there. And the manager is the only one that can cancel your membership. So if you can't break away M-F 9-5 to try and make it when the manager is there, you'll be stuck paying for the membership (he doesn't come in on weekends). You cannot call to cancel either. I liked the gym while I was using it, but I would never sign up for LA fitness again.

I usually workout at the LA fitness at the crossings, every time I choose to use this location I’m severely disappointed. The equipment is fine but the whole reason I chose to workout is LA Fitness is to use the showers before work. The locker rooms are always still trashed by the time I’m done working out, which is usually about an hour and a half after they open. Like I don’t want to be getting changed and they’re just now starting to mop. Definitely will just drive a bit further to use cleaner facilities.

I come here to swim for an hour a day. But it’s gotten so annoying lately because management doesn’t care about safety violations. There’s a group of young boys who comes and disrupts people’s workout by horsing around (diving, wrestling, switching lanes back and forth) in the pool. They are not even old enough to be there. So many people have complained about them but CLEARLY management and people at the front desk don’t care because they haven’t done anything about it. Customer service is also lacking. People at the front desk are unprofessional. They don’t take your complaint seriously. Besides that, the pool area is also very dirty. The floor hasn’t been cleaned in forever and it shows. Seriously the worst gym I’ve been to. I wish there were more options around this area.

I've been going to this gym for about 2 years. I only use the pool. Over the last month or so the cleanliness of the locker room and pool area have declined rapidly and significantly. I was so disgusted the last time I went I am canceling my membership and reverting back to the public pool. There was dirt and hair all over the floors, there was so many flies all over the pool, the windows had begun to get a film on them and the pool had a layer of grime and mold starting along the edge at water level. In a world where we are battling disease, the lowering of their standards and lack of proper management of such an important thing is unacceptable. I'm assuming the gym is under new management because of the sudden switch of standards or lack thereof. I refuse to pay $25 a month when they can't clean properly. So sad because this gym is literally a minute away from my house and now I'll have to drive 10 minutes to Mt. Rainier. Hit me up when you guys get your operations back in order please.

As a member for 15 years and seeing some changes in the club recently, I talked to the manager. I inquired about the downsizing of the standard training area and the removal of numerous pieces of equipment. Along with other things. Even though membership rates would not be going down. And was let known that a different demographic was being sought to raise profits. And was told I could seek out a different club to train at if I should choose. Sadly like many things businesses do. It is more about attracting new members and getting them to sign up with the automatic monthly debit payments. And taking care of long-time members is less important as they figure most will stay and accept less for the same price. As many do. With the continuous break in of vehicles with broken out windows on a weekly often multiple times a day. It would seem prudent to have a couple security monitors at the front desk with real time footage as opposed to back in a closet on tape, would be a good way to help protect their client's property while they are at the club working out. And to fix the broken equipment that can sit for months before being repaired. But maintaining the businesses and satisfying long term customers is less of an interest as trying to sign up new members.

1. Front office does not greet when people come in nor when they leave. 2. Went to my very first class here today which was zumba. Zumba instructor was 15min late, everyone sighing and looking at their watches, she finally comes in, no sorry no nothing, "im only a little bit late". Really?? Very unprofessional. She didnt even teach, half the class she was just walking around or tying her shoes while the class was all confused and just listening to music, lost. Exercise routine was similar all class and not nearly as fun as other zumba classes I have been to. 3. Tiny pool that smells really bad. Had to shower like 5 times to finally get the smell out. 4. Only very few self locking lockers. 5. Very few class selections. 6. Only half the people are wearing mask correctly.

James who was very helpful and kind unlike some other staff was the only good thing I had to say about this gym but he doesnt even work there anymore.
I have definitely been to better gyms, with better classes and more choices, bigger, cleaner, more organized, and much friendlier staff that always greet you. Oh, and their personal training sessions are included with membership whereas here they will charge hundreds to thousands $$$. A downgrade from where I used to go.

The gym itself is terrific, the staff even better, but after just 2 days of reopening, it has serious lack of protocol enforcement. Only 20 or so people there when I was there, fantastic, but atleast 5 people weren't actively wearing their mask on there
face and 2 had no mask on at all. Its great that they have a front desk person, but if you want to stay off Gov. Inslee's shut down list, you're going to need a mask referee in the back actively enforcing protocols. So its a 5star club, but it was a 1star visit...

I cancelled my membership at least 3 months ago, printed and sent confirmation of the cancellation. I understand that because of this quarantine there are a lot of delays. I was trying to call customer service all the time, and yesterday very nice girl helped me to cancel it in a moment.
Today I noticed a charge for the membership which I don’t use. I called support again and the man on the phone was VERY RUDE and UNHELPFUL. He told that I need proof that I’ve really sent confirmation and then I’ll get my money back. He was saying these understanding that I’m not able to do anything, because I don’t have this confirmation.
I didn’t expect that I need to have confirmation for the confirmation. I’ve never had issues with LA fitness before.
But if LA fitness decided to earn money these way, what can I say.
I would never go to LA fitness again or recommend it to other people.

I came to this location because the sauna was broken at the location I normally go to. The facility itself is dated and needs serious improvement. All of the treadmills are very old, do not work well, are missing paint, and have rust spots. I do not recommend this location, surrounding clubs are obviously taken better care of compared to this location.

LA fitness is trouble; you should avoid if you can. Don’t give them your credit. If you want to get from them new membership be careful. There are many charges that hidden such annual fees, membership and membership fees. I disable my membership 12/8/2019 and then they charged me annual fees of 2020. I talked to their customer support and they refunded back my money. They charged me again.

They have option to charge the fees on phone, but when they overcharge they require to visit their office.
