They've closed. Too bad; it had an old school feel. I hope someone else takes it over as a gym.

Been going to this location ever since it was Vision Quest. No where near as crowded as the Sunrise Village location and I love that there is more room for free weights and it has more of a crossfit environment. Staff always welcomes you. However the trainers won't help you unless you can pay besides that I prefer this location over anyother.

I've been a member of this gym for around six months. Less crowded than the Sunrise Village LA Fitness location and the people that go to this one actually want to work out instead of a way to hookup. Staff are very friendly!

This is mainly a review about the daycare. The only reason I am not putting five stars is because this gym is smaller and neglected in comparison to the much larger LA Fitness down the road. This LA Fitness doesn't have a pool or sauna. It has all the same equipment just not as many as the other one but definitely enough for the amount of people who use this particular gym. There aren't very many classes but the ones they do offer are fantastic and many of the same people who teach classes at the bigger LA Fitness down the road also teach at this one but the classes are much smaller. I've even done a class in which I was the only one who showed up for class but it was still a wonderful class! The instructor didn't slack off at all just because I was the only one. Everything that this gym does have is great; the equipment is taken care of, customer service is friendly and I LOVE LOVE LOVE the daycare. I started going to the larger LA Fitness down the road when I first got my membership and quickly stopped due to the daycare. I was mostly interested in the larger LA for the cycle and yoga classes. My daughter who was 1 and a half at the time did not like the daycare at all. There aren't many toys for young ones at the larger LA and there are times when there are way too many children running around and when I went I noticed the adults just stood far on one side of the room and barely paid attention to all the children running around. After one of my workouts I went to pick up my daughter who was walking around aimlessly crying and no one was paying any attention to her until a little boy pushed her over and I wonder how long he might have been picking on her. All they said was "oh no, sorry." And I grabbed my daughter and talked to customer service asking if they had too few adults that came in to work at the daycare that day and told them what happened with my daughter and they weren't sympathetic at all. I was about to cancel my membership but knowing that I wouldn't be able to pay for a gym membership with daycare anywhere else at the same rate as LA offers I tried the other smaller gym down the road. Much to my relief the daycare is so different. It's like day and night. My daughter loves going to the daycare now. Most of the time there aren't many children and sometimes she has been the only one there but even when it is busier the children are handled much better and there are so many more toys available for them to play with. The caregivers seem to be much more involved in taking care of the children rather than just standing back and observing from afar. If my daughter ever needs me they find me promptly. I know I don't have to worry about her if she is at the daycare though I still like to go and check on her frequently. It's nice that the daycare is behind a glass wall that is clearly visible from the weight room. At the other LA the daycare is far less visible. I had to leave the exercise area and go to the very front where the customer service desk was to peak into a small door that didn't even allow me to see into the whole area. One time at the smaller LA there was a problem with a child who was bullying other children and ended up biting and pushing my daughter and the daycare lady had me called to come to the daycare and by the time I got there my daughter wasn't even crying but the daycare lady wanted to make sure I knew and she assured me she would make an incident report before I even got a chance to mention anything about it. Later that same day she called to make sure my daughter was okay and there haven't been any incidents like that since. I will be moving soon and I'm really anxious to see how the LA Fitness daycare in the new area I will be in will be like. I wish I could take my small Meridian LA Fitness with me.
