Speaking as the parent of a long-time competitive gymnast, this is the best and safest gym in the area. They put the gymnast's safety and well-being first and foremost, and are completely open and transparent.

My 10 year old daughter, a level 3 tested for level 4 right before the christmas break.

She failed and will remain at level 3.
However what I saw in testing was so unfair.
They asked her to do a reverse roll to plank on flat ground.
She had never done this before.she had practiced on a wedge only

She tried 10 times to do that until she was exhausted.
I understand very few people passed testing this time 1 student or none passed in this class of 6.

I feel it was more about economics for the academy than support of my daughter.
I'd be interested to know of similar experiences.
My daughter was crushed.
She was given a set of tasks she had never been trained for.

testing was so unfair.
They asked her to do a reverse roll to plank position on flat ground.

She had never been taught this or practiced this before

Leading Edge has been amazing for my kids. I have two girls on team and a β€œwaddler” with special needs who loves scooting around the mats. My girls can’t get enough time there. They’ve made so many friends and LOVE their coaches. We have been part of the LEGA family for about 5 years now and feel so thankful for their part in our kids confidence and happiness. They love gymnstics and it’s the best here.

My daughter has been attending LEGA for the last several years. She's 10 and on the competition team, however prior to joining the team she participated in recreational classes. We have had nothing but the most positive experiences with the coaches, Sheila the owner and the other team families. I'm sorry the last poster did not experience the same, and I hope her experience doesn't detract other families and gymnasts of all levels in joining LEGA. Side note, the girls on my daughter's team are her dearest friends both in and out of ther gym. She's gained so much more than gymnastics from LEGA!!

I have two kids on team at this gym, one girl and one boy. I really enjoy the coaches and staff. I love they clean daily. I love the growth in both my children as gymnasts. We have been here since july from another gym and really enjoy this new adventure. Would recommend it to anyone.

Just a WARNING to anyone considering going to this gym or signing their child up for gymnastics. My niece was going to this gym for 2 months before she made the competition team. Although she came in what they said was too late to compete she still practiced with the team, well sort of. She was at all practices on time and ready to learn just like the rest of the kids. But they coaches not only was treated differently, the coaches only paid attention to the kids that were actually competing. When she asked for help they blew her off and did not give her any instruction or advice let alone any coaching. About a week ago my niece was in practice and she was talking to another girl and apparently there was a mixup with the girls name. My niece was basically benched for the rest of practice over nothing (was just their sorry excuse of once again favoring the kids) As if my niece didn't feel bad enough the owner of the gym Sheila came up to her singled her out and scolded her in front of everyone again for this whole name mixup which my niece said several times was not intentional. She thought the girls name was her nickname not her real name. All that was said my by niece was nice nickname and the girl responded with its not my nickname its my real name. That's all. I still cant even believe this happened over a name mixup. Regardless if it wasn't already bad enough that they benched her the rest of practice the owner then proceeded to confront her in front of all the other kids at practice, and not only embarrassing her but making her feel like she was 2 inches tall. To me this is absolutely unacceptable. Sheila shame on you for the way you handled this situation. To top it all off after letting them know that she would not be returning anymore due to all the things that happened and the way she was treated, in which the staff and Sheila the owner/manager whatever she is was incredibly rude not only to my niece but to my parents who were picking her up from practice. When they asked what had happened my mom couldn't believe that they had let such a small incident (one in which could have been completely a teachable moment ) Instead what it taught the girls was there are favorites on the team and if you aren't one of them , and you aren't paying for private lessons your going to be treated like trash. So even after this whole ordeal 2 days after and well before the next billing cycle they were informed that my niece was not going to return. She didn't want to face the humiliation they had put her through that night. They still proceeded to charge us for the next month!! We have made several attempts to ask them whey they would charge us again and even after several messages no call has ever been returned. It's just a total disappointment with the lack of leadership and morals that this gym seems to have! sad, not to mention the gym is incredibly dirty! I have never seen them as much as wipe anything down or clean anything besides vacuuming the waiting area for the parents. But as far as the mats and the equipment, nothing has ever from what I ever saw and what my niece said was ever wiped down or cleaned. Pretty disgusting. My niece got hoof and mouth virus after practicing there and got sick 3 or 4 times after starting here. They may dismiss it like it was just a coincidence , you can make your own opinion. Just proceed with CAUTION signing up at this gym. not worth the 350 bucks a month to be treated like your disposable!

Super fun environment for kids looking to break into gymnastics. My daughter and son both attended Leading Edge for about a year. Highly recommend Boys ninja class for those eager to run around climbing and jumping on things other than their own beds. ;) I enjoyed being able to use the cardio room upstairs while I watched my kids in class. The only downside I would say is the facility is huge and classes are large, so I didn't feel like my daughter had the one on one teaching by her young teenage instructor that she did at our last academy. It's very busy with multiple classes going on at one time. Convenient location.

All the of my boys take lessons here and love it. The owners and coaches are great. My oldest son now is on a boys team here and it's very fun watching the competitions. If you have a girl or boy interested in gymnastics I highly recommend checking them out.

My children (Ages 3 and 4) have been going to LEGA for the past month (Since December 2017).
Their coach (Oliva) is very attentive towards the children and executes an exceptional platform for learning and growth. My daughters have a lot of fun at LEGA and look forward to attending each week. The gym is spacious, well taken care of and is equipped with an impressive range of products and tools to help gymnasts succeed. Their monthly tuition is also very reasonable!

The Gym has a wide range of activities that are extremely economically friendly. Such activities include:

- Parents night out: biweekly parents night out (where gymnasts are able to have fun and socialize with other children for 4 hours on Saturday evenings as part of their drop off service.

- Learning and Gym: 3-4 hour structured class and gym lessons to supplement the day care setting.

- Summer camps etc.

Just to name a few.

We love this Gym. The coaches are great and work well with the kiddos. My kids have gone here for a few years and it's been a wonderful experience for us, the parents and the kids. They have enough classes and are willing to switch kids around classes to accommodate kids other activities. The coaches try hard to get the kids to improve and try harder. The coaches are quick to make changes to help the kids. Overall, really good compared to the kids dancing and swimming classes.

The only negatives were some instructors were not qualified to teach gymnastics, but only in the preschool age group. Alsi, people have been bringing in their pets. Although they have only been small dogs, but could eventually create problems with larger dogs and toddlers. Also, this could be a problem with kids and allergies.

I was nervous going as I have 3 little ones and I have had a bad experience at a different gym.. BUT everyone was amazing and the owner recommended my 2 year old be in the mommy and me class when she wasn't being attentive to the preschool class.. And once my 1 year old can walk he can be in the mommy and me class as well. Very clean and amazing staff! They also have an espresso bar and snacks!
