I recently signed up for a membership here and was completely mislead during the signup process. Make sure that you have all required information for anything that you are doing with these folks as they have shady tactics and getting refunded for mistake that THEY MADE, is apparently impossible. I would recommend traveling a few minutes to find a gym with integrity.

Edit: To add to the way that I was treated upon signing up. (and then when I went in to resolve the issue) They have 1 bottle filler in the whole gym and it's upstairs? Seems weird but I guess they haven't got the memo on water fountains. Their equipment is old and the selection is actually pretty limited for the size of the gym. Hopefully the reuse of the pool area will be paired with some new equipment.

I have been a member for many years and despite COVID19 the gym has done everything to keep it disease free through its constant cleanliness and spacing. I have also worked with a personal trainer here for the last three years. The trainers, employed by LLAC are excellent and will do everything they can to get you and keep you in shape (of course, you must help as well). Keep us the excellent work, LLAC!
I still look forward to be at the gym and train with Debbie twice a week. The staff consists of many excellent and knowledgeable people. The only significant change has been the closing of the swimming pool. This was force upon management because of changes in Washington State law. The modifications the club would have to make were too expensive and not cost effective. Therefore management had no choice but to shut it down. 😞

Don't put your kids in swim team here.. The director Emily is very rude and condescending to all kids... And owners just say that's her personality!!! There's no reason to pay for kids to be mocked and be talked down too by an adult!!

This gym is mediocre, dated and smells bad. I don’t understand why they haven’t stepped up their game or why another gym hasn’t come in to fill a much needed mid range quality gym niche in the valley. Peak fitness is great but I guess one of the owners daughter is married to the owner of LLAC. I heard Peak won’t come in because they would take the customer base away from LLAC and decimate their business. I wish they would come to Spokane Valley because the options here are so limited. The rest of the gyms around here are your basic $40/month, filthy, smelly 24 hour Fitness/LA Fitness like gyms. There’s no competition or much that differentiates from that model. I believe there is probably a demographic that would pay $70-$100/month for a nicer option. The only nice gym in the entire Spokane area is The Spokane Club but it’s out of the way for me or I would join. It’s disappointing

We are fairly new to the gym. I like the gym for the most part. The equipment is good and it never gets so crowded that you don't get the equipment you want. My issue is that the gym is too hot. Especially upstairs and the cardio room. The ceiling fans are for aesthetics only. They do nothing to cool off the room. Upstairs is the worst. Sometimes you can use the portable floor fans when they are not in use in the aerobics rooms. I have asked for fans for the spin bikes upstairs many times. I have heard from another member who spoke with the owner and was told that he doesn't like the look of fans and has no intention of putting them up there. That is crazy...it is a gym. I get it, you are working out and will sweat but if I wanted hot yoga, I would join a class.

The gym has had an equipment overhaul in the last year. Everything is clean and up to date! I’ve been coming here for a long time, and I still love it. There’s a very wide range of activities from free weights, to cardio machines, a full basketball court, pickle ball and swimming for the kids. The staff is friendly and the gym culture is positive here. This is a great place to workout!

I highly recommend not going to this gym. It smells like sweaty gym socks as soon as you walk in the door. The sauna is usually pretty nasty with garbage left from others and hair on the floors. Then when you go to cancel you are informed of their “hidden fees” of $200 to cancel your membership? After going back and forth trying to get a call back she responds with “My front desk staff does not need to let you know what the cancellation fee is unless you ask.” (Which I did ask more than once). I’m usually the one to help out the local business, but I beg you all take your money elsewhere due to their very poor business operations

I started by joining PEAK fitness in CDA. Then after a while I started having to go to LLAC. The gym is fine. The sauna is pretty disgusting (people shave in there a lot).

After moving I needed to cancel my membership. They require a 30 day notice. After explaining that I started my membership through PEAK I asked if I needed to cancel from PEAK or if they could handle it. The girl at the front desk let me know that she could handle both sides and to just send her an email. Fast forward a month and they still charge me. I give them a call and they tell me that I was wrong and there is no way that they would have told me that. They also didn’t really want to help me by calling PEAK to help me cancel and recoup the ~$60 dollars for the month I was now paying for.

They lied and told me they called PEAK and also let me know that PEAK said I would have to cancel through them. They basically called me a liar and that there’s nothing they could do. I called PEAK and they were very very helpful. In a matter of minutes I was on the phone with finance and was refunded my money after forwarding PEAK all the emails I sent to Liberty Lake Athletic Club.

PEAK is a great gym. The people at Liberty Lake? Not so much. Read some of the other 1 star reviews. There is at least one more regarding billing issues.

I’ve been going here for 6 months or so, always a good experience until today.
I went in to get a billing issue straightened out today and to sign my husband and I up for a year membership. By the end of it I was told I was wrong and rude. I guess having to explain the situation to 3 people, and still not getting any resolutions isn’t wrong nor am I allowed to be frustrated. I dod not yell or cuss at anyone, I literally just repeated myself.
I’m not signed up for a year membership to a place I am not sure I want to go back to.

I went Sunday for my weekly decompress. Spa tub was great good jets and different heights. Was just a tad disappointed the steam room wasn't operational but no biggie. Staff is polite as are the other members.

My kids have been coming to LLAC for semi-private swim lessons for about a year. What a wonderful program! The teachers are dedicated and do a great job. The prices are affordable. They are also very helpful if you ever need to reschedule a lesson.

When my kids first started coming, they were terrified of swimming. We had tried several other group lessons in town, and they made little to no progress year after year. The semi private program at LLAC gives them so much more individualized attention. They now are confident and love to swim. I am so grateful.

A most heartfelt thank you to all the wonderful teachers here. You have made a difference in my kids lives!

The swim lessons here are amazing they are so organized. Each instructor (when filling in) is able to take off where the previous one left off due to that organization. Emily is the director and she runs a very smooth organization and she is easy to contact. She also sometimes gets in the pool and teaches which she is an amazing instructor! She is so good with kids especially our little 3 year old. Aundrea is also a great instructor who does well adapting one lesson to teaching 3 kiddos who are ranging in age of 3 years to 9 year. Liberty Lake Athletic Club is the best place for swim lessons!

This gym is so clean and aesthetic. I love the atmosphere and the energy in here. However, if you are going to sign up for personal training, I would reconsider. I myself am in school to be a PT and have watched several of the night class sessions and am honestly taken back at the quality of training. Having kids no older than 12 hiptrust 95lbs off the floor is just something you don't do. It's so
unsafe and these kids are going to get hurt. When the trainer isn't looking at his phone, hes not even correcting improper form amongst the clients. The responsibility of a trainer is not to be taken lightly and it's sad to see people being set up for injury and bad habits.

The place is not bad. I wish they would upgrade most of the cardio machines and half of the weight equipment. They should now that they are opening a 2 nd location. Pretty clean for the most part.
Also They should redo the steamroom. Ive tried to use it twice and it just smells like MOLD. Badly. Not the steam room relaxing experience you want.

The Parent-Tot swim class is a great activity for families with kiddos that fit the age group of the class! The instructors we have had (Abigail and Emily) are so kind and caring and have a gift with working with families! We really enjoy the time on Saturdays swimming and interacting with other families.

LLAC is such a beautiful facility! We have been members at LLAC for years and we have been consistently impressed with management, working equipment, educated instructors and the abundant of classes available at all times of the day. The employees are all very kind and greet you with a smile as you walk through the door. In years past, I have been apart of other gyms that struggled to stay clean and broken equipment, etc. I’m so pleased with the cleanliness at LLAC in the locker rooms, pool, weight area, etc. I recommend this club to all ages of people and families. There is truly something for everyone!!

Just joined this place. Really nice. Clean bathrooms and nice redecorated space. Pretty slow for a Sunday. Nice staff. Lots of area and space to work out. The locker rooms are new. They have a tanning bed too that you can purchase for extra. They have a steam room and sauna in the locker room.

I both like and despise this place. It used to be great, but the owners will not take any suggestions from their customers. Simple things go unnoticed & broken for long periods of time before addressed & on occasion the steam room smells bad. Putting all of that aside, "this is typical of a gym." The worse part is the children. There's mobs of them everywhere. The new owner is making tones of children programs. Needless to say I may end up finding a different gym as now I have to plan my gym schedule around the children's schedule.

Liberty Lake is a great place for all types of active people from a heavy lifter like myself to newer folks. The staff is always friendly. Features pool, kid care, and basketball court. Note to lifters: 2 bench presses, 3 squat racks, and 1 leg press. Dumbbells up to 100 lbs.

We were attracted to this facility because of its proximity to Post Falls (16 minutes) and the fact they had a pool and offered water fit classes. It's large enough to offer a nice array of workout machines and free weights plus not overly crowded where us older folks should not feel intimidated. The staff is wonderful and each of the members we have been in contact with have been very nice. We have discovered several folks our own age attempting the same goals we have... keep those muscles functioning and loose to fight off arthritis and enjoy the social atmosphere.

Not very family oriented...for example the only "family swim" time is 330 to 530...not very family friendly for people who work and have real jobs. The plus side of this gym is that they have a lot of equipment. This is a very complete gym, with a physical therapy office, a massage therapist in-house, a pool, basketball courts, and a great selection of free weights, plate loaded machines and cable machines.
Overpriced and crowded. People here don't wipe off the equipment when thy are finished. I often found myself wandering around trying to find where someone had left a dumbbell, plate or floor mat because so many people here don't put stuff away when they are finished.
They keep raising the price even though there are more and more members all the time.
The final straw was when the manager and her husband worked thru on a machine I had loaded up, even though I indicated that I had only one set left to go. (I don't want to share sweat with a stranger)
