The staff and community at LOFT Fitness has exceeded my wildest expectations- and then some. I have lived around the corner for years and only recently joined- I had no idea what a special place this is.

First, this is a place for EVERYBODY that wants to show up, move their body, get stronger physically and mentally, and be supported by others in ways I've never experienced at a gym before. There are all ages, all genders, all body types and sizes- it's inspiring and amazing.

Second, I feel the best I've felt in years. The variety in training, including alternatives if something doesn't feel right for my body, keep me interested and challenged in the best ways.

Lastly, the community vibe is real. Nearly ever class I've attended someone's gone out of their way to help me and encourage me.

Thank you Bethany, Ari, and Mallory for creating such an amazing place to come together, move, feel better, and be reminded how important community is in our lives. I'm so grateful to you and all your staff!

I just wanted to let folks know that Loft Fitness is a fantastic gym with really knowledgeable and caring coaches. I typically don't enjoy gyms very much, but Loft made me feel very welcome and cared for from the very beginning. Tours are totally pressure free for signing up, which I appreciated so much, and there is an awesome social dynamic to the gym where they have special events throughout the year. I can't recommend this gym enough to folks who are also neurodivergent or anxious about being at the gym as well. Give them a try! I promise you won't regret it.

THIS IS THE PLACE!!! I cannot say enough good things about LOFT. During my time here I improved tremendously on my Olympic lifts, Crossfit skills and learned a ton about general health and fitness.

Personally I think there are 2 things that really separate this gym from other Crossfit gyms I have been to. 1) The variety of classes offered and 2) the coaches/community.

They really have it all here. Crossfit, olympic weightlifting, mobility, powerlifting, yoga and open gym. All these classes are led by VERY knowledgeable and friendly coaches who go out of there way to help you improve. Not to mention the classes are scaleable to accommodate all skill levels. During the classes I always felt cared for and was given lots of encouragement.

The community is the game changer in my opinion. I made SO MANY friends and met SO MANY great people during my time here. The camaraderie is amazing. I felt like the workouts, as challenging as they were, were also social hours in many ways. It truly seems like everyone is VERY HAPPY to be here :) The gym does a great job of putting on events to help strengthen the community. Some of the best memories I have from this past year were participating in the team competitions, attending gatherings and murph of course.

I had never really done crossfit until I joined this gym. I am absolutely hooked now! If you are looking to start crossfit, just want a casual place to workout, or want to improve your health/fitness but don't know where to begin, THIS IS THE PLACE!!!

This is, hands down, the best gym I have ever been a part of. I was brand new to crossfit when I joined a few months ago and I've never been a fitness class person but I was looking for something to jumpstart getting back into shape and I found it at Loft. All of the owners and coaches are warm and welcoming and cultivate an amazing culture. In turn all of the members are friendly and a joy to be around.

I have worked out in the same class with newbies like me and some of the most athletic people I have ever seen in the gym and have not once felt out of place. Learning CrossFit exercises can feel overwhelming sometimes but, at Loft, I've always had a coach willing to help.

CrossFit can be super intimidating (and dangerous) if not done right but I feel like Loft Fitness sets the bar (😉) on how it should be done.

I'm in my 40's. I have always struggled with staying in shape. Mostly because I could not, no matter what I did, self motivate at the gym. I just never worked out hard enough to get any results. I remember one day spending over an hour looking up exercises on my phone at the gym. The Crossfit Loft is a group setting and has been the only thing that has worked for me. I haven't felt this good overall since my early 20's. The instructors and class structure are what you pay for and for me and my personal experience it's worth it. You get out what you put in so it still takes getting there and putting in the work but I couldn't be more happy with my commitment to the Loft.

I love this gym! As a healthcare professional I look for CrossFit gyms that are inclusive, guide people into scaling workouts appropriately and place emphasis on form with skilled coaches that love to continue learning. I'd been doing CrossFit for about 4 years before I moved to West Seattle and joined Loft. In the ~5 months since I joined, I've hit new PRs on several lifts that I'd been stalled on for months or years. I attribute that personal growth to the excellent staff of attentive, knowledgable coaches who are always emphasizing proper form. Special shout out to Lincoln Brigham who teaches an Olympic Lifting class that's turned Wednesday into my favorite day of the week!

wow can't say enough positive things about Loft. I've been doing CrossFit for 4 yrs and Loft's space, programming and coaching staff are some of the best i've experienced. Highly recommend giving them a try. You won't regret it. They have showers, private bathrooms and a HUGE workout space. Also - kind of a unique thing - if you become an unlimited member, you get a key card and can go to the gym 24/7. I did the punch card myself, but was nice to have the all day/night access as an option to choose from.

Tim was a very informative in our meet and greet! He explained common misconceptions and gave me a detailed tour of the gym! While I end up going with another trainer that’s not in the CrossFit space, Tim was wonderful to work with and very flexible. I recommend him for those looking into CrossFit.

I've heard a lot about this gym and know that you have an access to the gym any time of the day if you leave your fingerprint. But when I entered it the first time, I like plenty of space that gives you comfort even during the off-hours. In addition, anyone can find the equipment according to his taste and wight.

Love the HIIT classes offered here! The staff and fellow lofters are all amazing, engaging and supportive. I have been attending classes 3 to 5 times a week for 6 months and it is always a great workout. Lots of different movements and workout types. Sometimes we tabata, sometimes we amrap, sometimes we pyramid, and sometimes we just workout for 30 minutes straight. All the exercises can be modified to be more accommodating or more challenging and every class kicks everybody’s butt regardless of fitness level. Also, just when you think you are done you do a kicker just to prove we can all do more than we think. I love this gym for all the reasons and would recommend it to everyone to try. Yoga, HIIT, CrossFit, Olympic Lifting, Strongman and Skill workshops. There is something for everyone.

You're new to the area and looking for a gym? Crossfit should be the first place you checkout whether you're into crossfit our not. This gym offers, oly lifting, yoga, mobility, HIIT and Crossfit classes and if none of that is for you there is pretty much open gym every hour from 5am to 8pm with a great staff that is more than willing to help you with your own programing. You'll probably makes some friends, score something you don't need for free because another member is trying to find a home for something, and get as many doggo pets in as you want. This gym is dog friendly and people friendly...seriously inclusive!

I switched to CrossFit LOFT about a year and a half ago after going to a different gym for a couple of years. In the last 1.5 years, my strength, confidence, and community have grown exponentially thanks to LOFT. It's the only gym I know of in the area that has open gym ALL DAY, in addition to Olympic lifting, mobility, HIIT, yoga, Strongman, kids, and teen classes on top of the regular CrossFit programming. They even have some classes where child care is available so parents can get a good workout in! The community is unmatched - warm, welcoming, supportive, encouraging, and the coaches are all incredibly knowledgeable and dedicated to helping members improve, regardless of skill level. If you've been tempted to try CrossFit, drop in and give LOFT a try!

I’ve been coming here since I moved to Seattle a little more than a year ago. I’ve developed a habit of finding a crossfit community as a support system for myself since I’ve been moving around quite a bit.
Long story short, this gym has been the best I’ve joined, I have to say (sorry Memphis and Chicago). Coaches are supportive, knowledgeable and encouraging. Equally awesome are the members and the camaraderie that comes with each individual class.
The class options start from god-awful 5am to 8pm with open gym hours sprinkled throughout. I love that open gym times are always supervised by coaches so I’m never doing anything retarded. This is also one of the rare gyms that open on Sundays!!
If I can find time to exercise 3-5 times a week with my schedule, anyone can and you have no excuses!

Great vibe and diverse community of people at the LOFT! I love the welcoming and supportive community they have created. I came to Crossfit Loft over the age of 50 & skeptical of the whole Crossfit concept particularly for someone my age. I suspect I would not still be doing Crossfit now, 3 years later, had I started anywhere other than the Loft. The coaching staff has always been patient and encouraging every step of the way. They know when it’s appropriate to push you beyond your comfort zone while always keeping your safety in mind. Not only am I in the best shape I’ve ever been, I truly look forward to each & every workout. While I can’t compare the Loft to other gyms in Seattle, I can say that compared to the gyms I drop into when traveling, I’ve never found another with the variety & number of class options that we have here. We are fortunate to have the Loft in West Seattle!

Looking for a place to get great workouts under the guidance of expert instructors AND workout with a community of nice, supportive people? Look no further as the Loft is for you. Don't worry about your fitness level coming in as there will be a place for you. Hey, I started as a 65 year old man! If I can do it, so can you! Sure it will be hard but that is what makes these workouts so good. They are well-constructed (I have a doctorate in exercise physiology so I know what I am speaking about), safely led, scaled to your ability level and very, very motivating. When you can show up anywhere from 5 am — 8pm for Open Gym and/or a crossfit class, I’d say that is superior service to the community and all around different needs! I tried Crossfit a couple times before joining LOFT. Never quite found a place that felt welcoming to someone on the fence.

The coaches here really care about you. Their knowledge of movements is on point, they watch you, correct your technique and know how to provide effective cues. Always available to answer questions and show you things.

In the past I have been to Crossfit gyms that cater to only their elite athletes, spend the most time on them. The rest are left to figure it out on their own, with very little instruction in an overpacked class. It is the opposite here.

Lots of open gym time, oly lifting classes, wonderful coaches who care about you and take an interest in your development. Best gym I’ve ever joined.

I've been a member of Loft for four years. I'm a middle-aged, plump lady who has had nothing but the highest level of support and coaching from this incredible community. The coaches have the utmost care for safety and for working with an individual in whatever mental or physical state in which they happen to be. I have achieved things in my personal fitness journey that I never imagined possible--things that have made me stronger in other parts of my life. I particularly appreciate the correlation between functional fitness and what I will hopefully be able to do physically in my advancing years. I also have a complicated schedule, and the Loft hours are flexible and accommodating. Open gym all day, classes from 5 a.m. to 8 p.m., newly added boot camp, Strongman, nutrition coaching... I’ve been doing crossfit for 10 years, and this is my favorite gym yet. Knowledgeable/friendly coaches, fun and welcoming community to workout with. Up till my experience here it was all big box gym and bro training. These guys really changed my technique and helped me understand the importance of alignment and body mechanics. Loft is an incredible place and community. I have been a "crossfitter" for almost 5 years - and 2.5 of those years have been at Loft. The coaches are so dedicated to your safety and performance, and are very helpful in their tips and suggestions. The workouts are challenging and vary from day to day, to week to week. Loft also offers all-day open gym (which is awesome if you are strapped for time or have something you want to focus on) and also HIIT bootcamp classes for days when you don't want to lift quite as heavy of things, you'll still get an amazing workout. I cannot recommend Loft highly enough!

I started very skeptical of this whole CrossFit "thing". Scared of not being able to do a pull-up or do multiple pull-ups, of being an outsider.

What I found was a very welcoming environment, very knowledgeable coaches who could help me tailor the same workout that everyone else was doing to my ability, great people, and encouragement from everyone to GET BETTER.

I was introduced to crossfit at Crossfit Loft, and I was one of those people that hated on the sport at first. Loft totally changed my mind and now I love it! This place has great coaches, an active community of all skill levels, and excellent, balanced programming. Whether you are a total newbie or aspiring competitor this gym has something to offer you, from the Loft Lite on ramp program to extra coaching/programming to help you reach your goals. I love working out at the Loft. I tried another Crossfit gym while living out of state for a year, and couldn't wait to get back to the Loft. While the other gym was fine, the environment at Crossfit Loft is something else - the coaches here are top notch (and great people!), the place is clean and pleasant to spend time in, and the community is a welcoming and supportive group of people. This place makes working out FUN.

I've never written a Yelp review but feel compelled to offer the following. My personal belief on fitness and health is that 80% of the battle is just showing up. To review CrossFit Loft on their programming only wouldn't do it justice. An equally, if not more important, part of CrossFit Loft is the community. The community is what makes you want to show up and what challenges you to work harder and what makes it fun. That said, here's some points that add detail to my thoughts.

1. Trainers – CrossFit Loft has three coaches that have each been to the CrossFit Games on more than one occasion. That alone doesn't make a great trainer. However, it's certainly fun to know that they understand what it takes to get to the Games. There are also trainers that specialize in Strongman, Power Lifting, Olympic Lifting…etc. Each has a specific strength/background and sees different things each time you workout. This blend of coaches makes it really easy to get better fast. Multiple eyes see many things and can give you the direction you need to improve.

2. Gym Itself – CrossFit Loft is well laid out with a traditional "box" format downstairs and a wide open area upstairs for mobility, warm-up, cool-down…etc. There are strongman implements, a huge pull-up system, and enough iron and rubber for multiple "heavy" lifters. The place is clean, organized and really well taken care of. Space is often a premium in a CrossFit box and Loft has a ton of room. It's nice to be able to spread out and not feel like your encroaching on other.

3. Programming (The Workouts) - The programming is driven by an individual that has coached another local team to the Games for the past three years. The programming is broken into three levels so the workout for the games athlete is similar for the novice. Options are always available for people with injury or other issues they are working through.

4. Community – This includes the coaches AND the athletes. I've been to a number of CrossFits, spending months and years at some of them. The community at Loft is 100% driven to helping each other get better. Most CrossFit boxes have "Leave your ego at the door" written somewhere. Loft is no different, ego and arrogance isn't tolerated and doesn't last very long.

If you're looking for the easy path, you'll probably want to keep looking. If you're looking for challenge and diversity, Loft is a really great place to start.

I have been crossfitting for over 3 years and have tried a few different gyms and I will call the Loft my home until they kick me out:). The quality of coaching is above and beyond what I have found in other locations. I had accepted that I had plateued and that I would never get certin movements. But after only a few months of quality coaching the results have been pr's on almost all my lifts and improvement in my gymnastics since joining. Thank you to all supportive and amazing coaches.
