Maven took $33 from me before letting me know that I’m on the waitlist for a class! Only in town for the weekend. As an avid yogi I’m always apprehensive about hot yoga as it’s a great way to over-exert, disappointed in this double-down of fad “studio”

After going through a major relationship change last year, I was seeking to improve my mental and physical health. I did a two week trial at Maven at the start of the year and have since become a regular. Prior to that, I had only done yoga a couple times a year at most.
It’s been about six months now of coming to the studio about 2x/week. In that time, I’ve become stronger, more flexibility, leaner and have better posture.
Kai‘s Power Flow classes are the perfect blend for me of overall familiarity but individual class unpredictability; this hits my sweet spot of repeatability. I love coming to the studio for an hour, turning off the world, and completely dialing into the practice which leaves me feeling completely reset and recentered. Maven has become an essential part of my overall wellness, and I hope others discover the same benefits too. 😄

I’ve been going to Maven for about six years now, and it has truly changed my life. Kai, the owner, has an incredible gift for creating beautiful, thoughtful flows that make you feel like you’re discovering new parts of your body with each class. His music is always so good—I’ve asked for his playlists multiple times, and he’s always happy to share.
Beyond Kai, the entire teaching staff is amazing. Each instructor brings their own energy and style to the mat, and the variety keeps things fresh and inspiring. Some honorable mentions who have deeply impacted my practice include Joshua, Auz, Tiffanie, Leah, and Kelly—each one brings something uniquely powerful to the room.
Thank you, Kai, for building and nurturing a space where so many of us can learn, grow, and breathe together as a community. Maven isn’t just a yoga studio—it’s a sanctuary.

Practicing at Maven Yoga has been one of the joys of my time in Seattle. The studio radiates warmth, intention, and community. You’re not just a face in the room, you’re seen.
Kai is a gifted teacher, with flows that feel like they’re written for your body, and the other instructors bring their own thoughtful energy to each class. The space is intimate; the guidance is personal; and the classes leave you feeling both challenged and grounded.
Whether you're a regular or passing through, this place stays with you. I’ll deeply miss it.

After trying a whole bunch of yoga studios in the Fremont area, Maven is my favorite! The instructors are truly gems and have such a depth of experience and wisdom. I especially love Kai’s and Annelisse’s classes. The studio is clean and cozy and there is always ample shelf storage for everyone’s belongings. The new student deal is generous if you’re wanting to just try it out.

I just love this studio. I came back to yoga after years away and was worried that the heat and the flow would all be too much. Each teacher has been so patient and is so skilled. I have never felt out of my depth or pushed beyond my limits. I've felt skillfully guided and am thrilled by what I've found myself capable of. And I've stretched and challenged myself in classes in truly wondrous ways. Highly recommend!

The instructors are personable and deeply knowledgeable, making every session feel meaningful. Kai, in particular, is amazing—an inspiring teacher who brings incredible energy and wisdom to each class. The studio is spotless and welcoming, creating the perfect environment for practice. Highly recommend to anyone!

Kai (owner) is the most gifted yoga teacher I have ever come across in all my years!! He writes these sequences that feel like a symphony for my body, perfectly wringing out every muscle. All the teachers are likewise talented and thorough, with beautiful intentional sequences. Additionally, I love the sense of community at the studio: the closeness, warmth, being called by my name and given personal cues/pose guidance.

I love hot yoga at Maven. Temps usually run 90-95 degrees, and it's hotter in the middle of the room. My favorite instructors are Kai and Gaby but you will get a great flow no matter who you pick. Weekends can get crowded, and street parking can be tricky so get there early :)

Excellent studio. I love the instructors, especially Kai. His power flows are challenging and creative. It’s a clean studio with showers and changing rooms. My only suggestion is they have more late evening (7 pm or later classes) during the weekdays, but that’s really just a personal thing.

Maven is the best. I attended this studio for 2 years until I had to move and absolutely loved the challenge and peace it brought me multiple times a week. Kai is an incredible teacher who has a unique touch to his classes, he’s a great yoga instructor and his music sets the vibe every time. Each week, Kai had a new flow and always challenged certain poses and stretches. I also went to Carly’s classes and loved them as well, she is so peaceful and meditative. Will come back to this studio if I find myself in Seattle again. Love it so much and will miss it!

I just started to attend this studio, and it is truly lovely. The aesthetic is beautiful with wood floors, exposed brick, and soft lighting, it has a relaxed and intimate feel, and I have appreciated the excellent teaching, as well as kindness, of the two teachers whose classes I have attended so far, Kai and Hannah. What an outstanding experience! You can tell much about a business by how the owner interacts with the community and Kai has proven to be an outstanding example of that. Beyond being professional and capable, Kai demonstrates that the most important aspect of any successful enterprise is still kindness. If you’re in Seattle, pls come in and take a class with Kai!! I have been living in a small town on a travel nursing assignment for the last couple weeks, and was visiting Seattle and pleasantly some of the cross the studio. I took the 9 o’clock class because it was convenient, however, my body is so grateful that I my timing aligned with Kai. His yoga flow. Is unlike anyone I’ve ever taken. I’ve been travel nursing for three years and I’ve taken yoga classes all over the United States. His guidance, presence, incredible warm-well coming vibes, or unmatched. The flow is familiar, yet unique I had no trouble keeping up with his directions, even as a first time student with him. Not to mention it was just want my body, mind, and soul had needed. Next time I’m in Seattle I will be sure to take a class with Kai! The studio as gorgeous as well! **update: I took a class with Tiffany - also highly recommend ! So kind and again, unique and incredible flow. I’ve decided this is my favorite yoga studio ever! The classes are not overly full (I took 9am weekdays classes) which was nice for me but I can see this place filling up sooner rather than later once the word gets out :)

After a long, stressful day staring intensely at my computer screen, tonight's hot yoga session miraculously allowed my mind to temporarily unplug. The instructor (Hannah) was fantastic. I felt like she took me through a therapeutic journey that helped me synchronize my mind and body (something I haven't felt in a long time). I might just have to fire my therapist, and attend more of Hannah's classes, because besides my body feeling rejuvenated, mentally all of my stress was released, leaving me feeling so restored/refreshed. There's that old phrase "I feel like a million bucks", well tonight I do! Heck, I probably lost 5 lbs just sweating out all the toxins! If only I took these classes before I played golf, I swear I could hit the ball a mile feeling this good. Mind you, tonight was my first class in 5-6 years and needless to say, I'm not in the same physical shape I used to be, however one thing about yoga is that it's non judgmental, everyone and every body-type is embraced. It's not an intimidating experience. Hannah does a wonderful job setting the environment and mood of the room. My favorite part about this class is that that you get out what you put in. If you expend energy trying, your body will be feeling the dividends immediately after. One thing's for sure, I'm going to sleep like a bear in hibernation tonight! Thanks Hannah for restoring my mind and body. After tonight's session, I'm converted! This is the lifestyle change my mind and body needed. We all seek balance in life, well I think I found it in a one hour session at Maven! Nameste.

I can't say enough about the positive experience I've had so far at this yoga studio. My original intention was to take a class or 2 to make the $50 one month trial fee worth it. I was entirely non-committal. Much to my surprise, every instructor that I've had the pleasure of engaging with has made me feel entirely at home--and now there is no turning back. I'm hooked! The warmth here (both literally and figuratively) is what keeps me coming back.
I'm astoundingly grateful that a whim has turned into something so much more, and I'm so much looking forward to working on my practice within this beautifully established community!
Thank you Kai and the rest of the instructors for creating the space for all of this.

Maven Yoga is a slightly above average studio and Kai T is an average teacher, but I would not go out of my way to attend their classes.
Like their blurb, Maven Yoga is located in the heart of Fremont. For the exact location, it is located in the alley way between Fremont Pl N and Fremont Ave N. If you walk in the alley and see the dumpsters, you are in the right place. This also means a parking is nearly impossible to find. They also have a water fountain, big shelf to put stuff, one toilet, two shower stalls and two changing rooms. The showers (along with soaps) are very nice given the same of the studio. Apart from myself, I don't think anyone in my class used the shower so two are enough. Although the hallway was dirty with a lot of dirt, the studio (where you practice), the toilet and showers were clean.
I got to attend an In-Studio Power Flow class by Kai T, who's one of the owner. It's a 4.30 PM Friday class which I booked the same morning, and it's almost full (there were about 18 people and maybe you can fit 4 mats more). Kai T taught a power Vinyasa and it's refreshing because it's not a Baptise style which is popular around Seattle. His sequence was okay, and he seemed to call out some students by names, but he did not give any adjustment nor any important cue about alignment. Other reviewers mentioned he's welcoming and experienced, from this one class I took, I would not use those to describe him nor his class.
I think what's missing from his class was compassion. The class was not good for any new person since there weren't enough guidance, cue or adjustment to get into poses, and you cannot really see the teacher. I got called out in class because I forgot to pay for parking so I used my phone in class. Another person said she was on time but the studio did not let them in. I do understand that these rules, and they are there for a reason, but have some compassion.
The drop-in costs $25 which is $2 cheaper than Core Power which is a chain, but has free parking. It is also a lot cheaper than the nearby Bala Yoga which costs $33 for a drop-in (also no parking).
Overall, I'd recommend this only for people who are within a walking distant of the studio and want to save money.

I am not a naturally athletic person and I cannot recommend this studio highly enough. Kai has undoubtedly changed my life for the better. I was initially dragged to a class at this hot yoga studio by a friend and cannot briefly describe how wrong I was when I thought yoga was just stretching and that doing it in a hot room wouldn't make it better. My body is stronger than it has ever been thanks to my hot yoga practice- it is a practice for the mind and body every time you step into that safe warm environment. I miss it when I can't get to class.
Once I let go of my own worries about being at a more novice level than others in class, I realized it was only in my head and that no one else cared if I had to take a water break. I do my best every time I step on my mat and am proud of my efforts- and buckets of sweat- after every session even if a pain stopped me from my fullest potential that day.
Kai is co-owner and an instructor. He is passionate about providing a space to practice. I have witnessed on several occasions his enthusiasm for teaching people the value of their growth in yoga. He is quick to laugh and chat before and after class while being the calm strength in voice guiding you through poses in studio, giving compliments and corrections to the group and by name making you feel both a part of something and a seen individual.
I warned you I couldn't be brief on this subject. Bottom line: even if you've never tried yoga, perhaps especially if you've never, Maven is a kind safe warm place to dip your toes in.

I arrived for class right on the dot, rather than a few minutes early, as I had trouble finding the studio which is located in an alley. I had signed up in advance for the class. The teacher had just locked the front door, saw me, and would not allow me to come inside. I can understand if studios have policies about not allowing latecomers, but it is completely unreasonable to refuse someone who arrives on time, particularly if you see them at the door. It was an infuriating experience, particularly since it was dark and cold outside at 6:15 am as I stood in the alleyway. It took me a minute, but I looked up their phone number and called the number as well, which you’ll see occurred at 6:16 am. I will never return and do not recommend this studio.

My yoga practice in Seattle started with one of the teachers that eventually formed Maven. I have practiced with a variety of studios to enjoy different teaching styles and environments, and ultimately, it is the teacher that brings me back, inspires me to revisit as many times as I can muster in a week. I love the teachers at Maven for their unique explorations and variations on vinyasa flow. In the times that I've been, I have yet to repeat a class routine. Each teacher offers the right amount of challenge and the right amount of relaxation, encouraging me to call the shots on what's appropriate for my day. Your practice is still your own while you can enjoy trying something new and growing as a yogi. I also enjoy that they know me by name. It’s very personal at maven yoga studio. Maven is hands down my favorite yoga studio in Seattle. The owners are lovely and It's normally not as crowded a some other studios where mats need to be squeezed right next to each other, which is great. Although the classes are pretty challenging, I feel like it's an inclusive space where you really could assume child's pose for half of the class if you needed to. The best part about Maven is that the flows the instructors guide you through are always pretty creative as compared to really repetitive vinyasa flows. Kai and Tiffanie are my favorite instructors if you're trying to decide who's class to take!

If you are looking for creative flows, kind individuals, a welcoming space, and just the right amount of heat - look no further because Maven has it all! After trying multiple studios - and being admittedly particular about where I practice - I wound up at Maven and tried out a power class with Kai. After doing the trial week, and trying out a couple more instructors, I knew I'd found my yoga home :) I've now been a member for a couple months, going 2-4 times a week. Every class is thoughtfully taught and each teacher brings their own style. I cannot recommend this studio highly enough!

Maven is run by two incredible yoga instructors, who truly embody the studio name, "Maven". You can count on finding dynamic, sweaty classes here with thoughtful sequencing designed by skillful instructors. The space is comfortable and clean, and the facility offers showers and changing rooms. I started with their $20 one-week special and have been addicted ever since. I used to take classes whenever I would come home to Seattle from college, and now that I am back in town, I am so pleased to get to take classes regularly. I could not recommend Maven more.

The best yoga studio in Seattle. All of the instructors are amazing. Their flows are challenging, with plenty of options for modification. The practice room is gorgeous and warm, the studio stays locked during classes so your belongings are safe. There are two showers in the back to freshen up before heading out.
The room can be quite warm, I recommend bringing a towel and a full water bottle.
If you're a Yogi in the area check out Maven!

I have done my share of hot yoga and Maven is one of my favorite studios EVER. It's the second studio I've tried since moving to Seattle and is head and shoulders above the other (Bala Yoga). I practiced four times during the free week trial and took classes from Kai and Allison. They were both friendly, knowledgeable and inspiring. I was concerned about the heat after reading some ClassPass reviews, but it was a reasonable 99 degrees when I went-- enough to get sweaty but not so hot you can't breathe. I am SO excited to attend Maven regularly!

Kai, Tiffanie, and Alison are among the very best yoga teachers in the city. I’ve been taking their classes for over 3 years and always leave their classes feeling so grateful for their superbly fluid, fresh, athletic, and creative sequences; calm and inspired cueing; skilled eye and ability to describe spot on individualized corrections; and ability to entirely dismiss the outside world for an hour. They are masterful and magical!

This is my favorite heated yoga studio in all of Seattle, and I have been to my fair share of them. Here, I don't have to check who is teaching because every single teacher is amazing. They somehow have found the perfect balance between strength and flow.
You can rent mats and towels, so if I forget anything, it isn't a big deal. Plus they have showers, so I can rinse off before heading out in the world without looking like a complete disaster.
The teachers sit at the desk before and after class, so if I have any questions, I never feel weird about approaching them.
Seriously, try them out. Every friend I have brought with me has ended up buying a package.
Note: It can be kinda hard to find. It looks like you are going to a dumpling restaurant, but walk through those doors and there are more shops inside, including Maven.
