Worst value $500 I’ve ever spent. They made you buy a 5 class intro package. For $100 a class you’d expect the instructors to be detailed and tailor the exercises to your individual needs. But every class has been pretty much the same. Some instructors don’t even explain the purpose of the moves, just give instructions like they would in a group lesson. I got one who even ended the class 5 mins early.

There are so many other places with personal trainers charging way more reasonable fees and will teach you to learn about your body. Don’t waste your money here!

The best pilates studios around :) super knowledgeable. Chris is amazing! Very mindful and as aware of his students, I hear him daily in my head telling me to pull my ribs in 😋 the energy of the studio, teachers and students make it 💯.

This is truly one of the best places to go for Pilates training and teacher training. The quality and professionalism are top notch. Everything about Metropolitan Pilates is excellent; the teachers, the equipment, the community, etc. If you want to learn Pilates and change your body and life for the better, go here!

This is hands-down the best Pilates studio I've ever been to, not just in Seattle but anywhere. I'd been doing other Pilates styles (Stott, BASI, etc.) for several years before coming to Metropolitan, and everything I'd done before paled in comparison to the Classical method taught there. The studio is co-owned by Dorothee Vandewalle, who trained directly with Romana Kryzanowska and now runs a world-renowned teacher training program herself. The teachers at the studio are graduates of that rigorous program, so everyone you work with has years of experience and is able to tailor your workout to your body, ability, and needs. I can't agree with the reviewer below who felt out of place - I'm not the most athletic type myself, and I've seen students of all ages, sizes, and abilities work out at the studio. There's absolutely no judgement and some of the teachers have even shared with me about their own "problem areas" such as tight hip flexors or stiff lower back.

I don't think there's anyone who wouldn't benefit from properly taught Classical Pilates, and Metropolitan Pilates is the perfect place for it.
