This place is great! My kids have been going here regularly for years, and have also had their birthday parties here the past two years. Kyle is fantastic, and exhibits an almost inhuman level of stoke that really engages the kids and gets them excited to move and learn. As someone who as also worked with kids for large parts of my career, I can really appreciate how on-point his group management skills are, and how he's able to keep the kids focused in activities that can easily turn chaotic. The gym gets rearranged every week, so nothing gets old, and the activities (speed course, climbing, skills challenges, boss battle, etc.) are always new and exciting. I have also taken a few adult classes, and as a 40-something who still likes to stay in shape, I can definitely recommend. This place is great for little kids up through teenagers and adults. I also like that you can sign up for a membership, buy a few classes at a time, or pay for a single class, so there's no commitment if you just want to check it out. If your kid is new to parkour, I would highly recommend the beginner class (on Monday?), as he starts by teaching the basic techniques so you have a foundation for the rest of the class, and really get more out of it. That being said, you can start at any of the classes and still have fun. If you or your kids might have any interest in Parkour, definitely check out MoveFree.

Movefree Academy is great for kids who like to move around and learn body awareness. Coach Kyle is amazing.
My oldest son had a lot fun in homeschool classes one year and a summer camp. Coach Kyle has an amazing talent of memorizing everyoneβs names and he keeps the class fun and exciting for everyone.
I canβt say enough good things about him and the whole setup. If you want your kids to learn agility, strength and core balance while having fun, this is the place. Highly recommended!

βBest week EVER!!!β said my 10 year old girl at pick up this afternoon after a week at parkour camp.
Kyle and the rest of the Movefree coaching team create a thoughtful, inclusive, and safe environment for creative, imaginative DD/video game style battles Kids v. Boss (Coach) along with dynamically evolving parkour courses meant to safely teach the proper mechanics behind parkour. Kudos to Kyle and all the Movefree Coaching Staff! You hit it out of the park!

The atmosphere is so welcoming and supportive! My son loves every minute of each class. Skill building, character development and differentiated to meet the abilities levels of the students who arrive, the sessions are well planned and designed to keep kids engaged. My son's favorite part is the Boss Battle. He looks forward to the next part of the storyline each week and is working on his collaboration and leadership skills. We're huge fans of MoveFree Academy!

Just what we needed!
Our 7 year-old boy has an in-utero condition called NAS. It mimics autism but there are a few differences, the two most significant being the cause and that it may be possible to rewire his brain, specifically his amygdala. We have tried several sports activities but there isn't much interest, with the exception of swimming and snorkeling.
We signed him up for a class yesterday and we were beyond impressed at Coach Kyle's training techniques. He teaches whole mind/body training that isn't limited to the physical nuances of agility.
There were at least 10 times when I would have expected our little one to melt down, but coach had the kids so engaged and going at such a quick pace that our little guy didn't want to miss what was next and he just rolled with it every time. Coach gives them little snacks of wisdom throughout the training (re: teamwork, personal accountability, perseverance) and I could see our little one following his lead. So inspiring!
I can't wait to see how he does over time with some more classes.

Kyle has great connection with kids of lots of ages, and the early teens is no exception. With the range of fitness levels everything could be modified to welcome absolute beginners as well as push those who need a challenge. I appreciated the assistance from the other team member who, while also organizing and instructing the boys, also looked out for my younger daughter who wanted to try things every once in a while. I always enjoy the circle at the end. In it the group has a chance to recognize, communicate, and celebrate people's strengths and individuality. It was a fantastic party to welcome my kid into his teenage years! Many thanks!

My two kids have been going to Movefree Academy for almost a year now, and I feel so lucky to find thisΒ place. This is so much more than a place for kids to learn parkour. By learning to overcome physical obstacles and improve their performance in obstacle courses, they learn self-confidence, perseverance, and focus. By playing the games, they learn leadership, communication, and teamwork. And the most amazing thing is that the coaches facilitate it so that kids don't even notice they are being taught anything - they are just having fun! The founder, Coach Kyle, is truly an outstanding coach with a wise coaching philosophyΒ and he is putting his soul into each class. My kids were in camps and birthdays with Movefree Academy, and it was a blast each time, too!

We had my child's birthday at MoveFree Academy with Coach Kyle. It was by far the best birthday party experience we have had. Everything was smooth- from the entire communication process (thanks Jerry!) to all that Kyle did for us on the day of the party. They were flexible with what we wanted, and provided just the right amount of structure and free time. Kyle was so great with all the kids. The highlight of the party was the birthday circle. Kyle sat the kids in a circle and they all shared something special about the birthday kid. It made her feel good and also really bonded the kids. Way to go! We have had and been to parties at many places all over this area, and MoveFree takes the cake, so to speak! We will definitely be going here again! Thank you!

Such a great place for kids especially on cold and rainy days! Coach Kyle is super patient and encouraging and the kids absolutely love him. The stories at the end of class are so engaging too and I love that he has the kids work together on a final challenge...and if I'm not mistaken, he always makes sure they're successful in the end. I ask my kiddo to rate each class afterwards and he gives it 5 stars every time!

One of my kids say six stars out of five! On another said 10 stars! As we were walking out of class they were already making plans for coming back the next day and the next week. Our coach, I believe his name is Kyle, was really rad and shared his ethos with us parents about parkour and how they like to run their classes. I love that they give time to the kids to run around and explore the space before getting into activities and that they change up their course every week. The kids got a lot of chances to try new skills and work hard to improve on their own skills. We're excited to come back and be regulars!

My 10 year old loves going to this place for Parkour class. The instructors are super nice and patient with the kids. They are strict when it's required. Staff is friendly and though the website is hard to work with, managed by a vendor, they go out of their way to show how to schedule courses and purchase punch cards. As parents the punch card concept is helpful too, provides much needed flexibility when you have classes for other kids elsewhere and other events.

We absolutely loved having our sons 8th birthday party at Movefree Academy! From the time I booked my sonβs birthday party through the end of the party I had nothing but a great experience! Jerry was helpful getting me all ready for the party day, ensuring everyone was signed up by a certain day so the kids could just play when they got to the gym. Helping with a few that didnβt quite get the registration filled out fully and also after the party we thought we had left something behind and very quickly got a phone call back letting us know the item was not there. (Which we found it in our car, lol) The party experience was phenomenal! ALL the kids at the party had a great time! Kyle was awesome at explaining things to the kids, incorporating the importance of safety, taking care of ourselves, treating others with kindness, competing with yourself instead of competing with others and at the end sitting down with the kids to have people share what they liked about the birthday boy. The pricing was fair and the gym set up looked good too. It was also very cool to know they change the set up regularly so people can test themselves in new ways each time they come! Thank you for such a fun party for our son!

MoveFree is an awesome parkour gym. The gym setup, climbing walls and obstacles are changed every week to keep the courses fresh and challenging. Coach Kyle is so great with the kids! He does fun, interactive, dramatic story adventures with them that involve team work, precise memorization and execution of instructions, as well as physical agility to pass levels and defeat the "boss". The kids get to pick "special abilities" at the end of class each week that they can choose to use to help their teammates defeat the boss in upcoming battles. The story is progressive but it is perfectly fine to jump in midway as it will still be just as fun and enjoyable. Coach Kyle also constantly watches the kids move and gives them tips specific for that kid to help them succeed in physical challenges. Advice about safety and healthy eating and movement are sprinkled throughout the course of the class as well. My daughter absolutely loves the classes! I appreciate the flexible format in that I'm not locked into a weekly class at a specific time but can join any class that has an opening as long as it's for the appropriate age range, or I can join multiple classes per week if I choose to!

Thereβs nowhere Iβd rather send kids for education, healthy movement training, and safe fun than MoveFree. Coach Kyle has 10+ yearsβ experience coaching parkour, after becoming one of the first certified parkour coaches in the country.
Classes are full because kids LOVE them. They combine parkour, rock climbing, and other movement skills with group activities that teach communication and problem-solving.
Injury rates are incredibly low, because Kyle knows how to teach safe movement. Safety is always his #1 priority.
Iβve witnessed his mentorship literally save kidsβ lives during this pandemic through the time, energy, and compassion he gives.
Kyle is excellent with kids of all ages, abilities, and neuro-types. Kids on the spectrum tend to find and continue with classes at MoveFree because they are safe to express themselves and are free to choose how they participate.
You may notice a handful of recent 1-star reviews; much of what is shared in some of these reviews is exaggerated half-truthful information from former teenage employees who were unable to receive constructive feedback (such as what is/is not respectful behavior around kids) and are now retaliating through unfair, and honestly slanderous, comments. Do not allow these reviews to inform your understanding of this gym, because you might withhold your childβs next favorite, and most healing, movement experience.
Read the 5-star reviews for accurate depictions of this parkour gym. :)

My boys love the classes at Move Free Academy!! Weβve tried other activities/sports and they werenβt a good fit for my boys. Iβm so glad we discovered this place! My older son first took parkour classes at one of the satellite locations and he was hooked, his little brother couldnβt wait to turn six so he could join in on all the fun!
I love that they rearrange the gym each week so the kids get new challenges each time. Kyle is great about encouraging the kids to try new things, keep trying, and strive towards their personal best. The classes have a great mix of parkour, climbing, and free running which keeps my boys actively engaged and moving. They absolutely love the βBoss Battleβ game at the end of the class! I love how the game is active, requires them to stay focused, and teaches them to work as a team! Highly recommend!!

Manager seemed to be brushing his teeth in the gym and it was very unprofessional. 2021 Update:
Ever since covid hit MoveFree has been leaning more toward the games side instead of actual parkour. Classes now dedicate only 15-30 minutes to parkour, and the rest are games. If you want to just drop your kids/teens for daycare it isn't a bad spot, but if you would like to work on parkour/freerunning skill work I would not recommend this gym.
Old Review:
MoveFree gym is a great place to hang out nearly everyday, professional coaches could teach you nearlt every move in parkour and freerunning. And if you feel like playing a little of video games or board games MoveFree has it as well. MoveFree has a ton of activities for people to play or do. All the staff members are welcoming. You have a birthday coming up, do a party at MoveFree Academy.

Fantastic place! My 10 year old daughter loves it. Kyle is a great coach. He cares about each student and encourages and supports them to develop their skills. The classes are for everyone. No matter if you're kid is super athletic or just barely slides off the couch, everyone is welcome. The kids feel empowered by mastering an obstacle they thought they'll never manage. Coach Kyle is with them every step of the way, encouraging and believing in them until they succeed.
Compared to other sports parkour is something for the whole body including the brain and fortunately not about perfection.
At the end of each lesson the kids play boss battle. Which means coach Kyle is reenacting a fantasy story with the kids. He plays the role of the bad guy (e.g. dragon) and the kids become knights, archers and mages batteling the villain with their super powers. Combining movement with imagination and team work, what can be more stimulating? And honestly, who hasn't had the secret wish to throw something (in this case pool noodles) at a teacher after a lesson? Just kidding π

January 2019:
An update to the previous review. Last weekend, we planned our son's birthday party at Movefree Academy. It is our son's most favorite place to be, and was so excited to have his birthday party there. We had booked for 2 hours.
Space:
Their birthday hall is pretty spacious for 12 kids. While the kids were inside the gym, the gaming area(waiting area) is also pretty neat for the parents to spend time. They provide plates, wooden spoons, forks, and napkins. We had brought our own set, so we did not use them, but they have available for the party. They have a refrigerator, a microwave, and useful counterspace.
Check-in:
The check-in of guests is very smooth. I would highly recommend hosts to encourage their guests to fill up the online waivers before so that the kids can straight-away enter the gym, or else they will be waiting while the parent is filling up the waiver at the desk.
Communication:
They were in constant touch with us through emails and sent us reminders of any thing that we need to do from our end. They are very prompt in responding as well, in case you have any queries.
Activity:
Jazz, Nate and Lukas did an amazing job organising the activities for the kids. They made our son's birthday special! Kids have been speaking about the games even after the party! I know few have been asking their parents to sign them up for future classes. Our son's words after the party, "It passed all my expectations and beyond!"
Food
They allow food from outside, which was good. A change from just pizza and cake style birthdays. After such a high-energy activity, kids are exhausted to fill-up on just pizza, juice, chips and cake. We had planned our menu with some healthy options to go with pizza. Also, we had to keep the packing up minimal at the end of our party time.
Overall, a wonderful experience! If you have highly energetic group of kids, and love jumping and climbing, then this is the place. The staff, the space, the assistance, everything is excellent and kudos to the team! All our guests left with smiles and happy thoughts!
Thank you for making our son's birthday so memorable! :)

A very different type of sport activity! My 8 yo son loves the place, the coaches and the challenge courses they set up for every class! All the coaches are really amazing, friendly, helpful and very proficient! Thanks to the different types of skills that they train, my son just loves to swing on bars or do monkey bars or climb walls, wherever possible! Even their flexible reservation system is very good, you just have to buy the 5-pk or 10-pk class punches and you can schedule the classes based on your convenience. Overall, a great place for any kid who just loves to jump and has lots of energy to burn!

My son loves to train here! I'm very happy with what he has learned at MoveFree, from physical skills and strength, to perseverance, the ability to assess a movement and his readiness to try it, and overall maturity. The coaches are world-class parkour athletes as well as being excellent coaches and educators that can help others grow in skill and strength while having fun. I've seen them work well with ages from 6 to adult, girls and boys, and all types of kids from well-behaved to shy to challenging.

Cool place to have the family, friends, office mates and whatnot get moving!
Get lessons from parkour pros about the how tos of: falling, dropping, climbing, landing, jumping all physical activity ends in "ING".
Facility focused and oriented to parkouring. Instructors are ready to teach you on a hands on type of lesson.
Friendly, professional and cool guys!
They also have bday party accomodation and work/office team building activities.
Price is right on! Ask for a discount and they might give it to you ;)

Had a birthday for our 8 yr old boy here. Really easy to organize and a good party room. The real stars are Kyle and his team who make the obstacles and the parkour really creative and fun.

Everything about MoveFree Academy is fantastic. The staff are knowledgeable, responsive, professional, focused, and FUN! All of the coaches have a great ability to relate to individual kids as well as coordinate the whole group. The challenges are always 'just right'--the kids always know that although they might not succeed on the first (or second, or tenth!) try, the coaches are there to support, encourage, scaffold, and celebrate every success, large and small. A brilliant place and great organization!!

Such a great facility! The coaches are wonderful and are really focused safety. They train you to play for life. Balance, strength, agility and problem solving are all used in Parkour. Their child, teen and homeschool programs are the best we've found.

My 2 kids (ages 7 and 11) go to the Level 1 and Level 2 Parkour classes with MoveFree Academy at the South Bellevue Community Center. They're generally not very big on classes, but this is the exception, they love it and an hour before it's time to go, they're watching the clock to be sure to be on time.
