We’re in our second year at NGC after trying a nearby competitor, and we absolutely love it. The classes, the coaches, the facilities, the whole family feel are amazing. My daughter not only loves going every week but she’s progressing so well. Highly, highly recommend this gym!!

We have really enjoyed taking classes here. The preschool class has been the perfect fit for our active child. The use a big portion of the gym with real equipment and lots of it. During the beam rotation there are over four beams with other stations so my child isnt always waiting and standing around. She is constantly moving and trying new skills. She is challenged with big climbs, balance and jump down areas, which satisfy her need for risky play!

Our 3.5 year old son has been enrolled in one class a week for almost a year and we really like it. Our son was really shy and nervous with so much when we first started. The patience and one on one attention the teachers have given our son have really helped him out. Before he was very nervous around anyone outside of a few close family members. Now he is more open to meeting new people and kids. He is making good progress in the classes by following his instructors better and better. Overall we are very happy with the positive impacts the gymnastics classes have had on our young son.

My daughter has an ileostomy bag and Northshore is the first place (including school, dance studios, childcare establishments, etc.) that hasn’t treated her differently because of it. It’s completely a nonissue with them and they treat her the same as they do any other kid. I really appreciate this and it has made my daughter’s confidence grow so much! She looks forward to gymnastics every week. The coaches do a great job making the environment fun while also taking training seriously, a rare balance to find in children’s sports.

My boys have been coming here for the last 3 years and I cannot say enough great things about the staff. Coach Allison and Coach Jon always go above and beyond during every class. Both of my kids have gained a tremendous amount of body awareness and confidence through their ninja classes.

Updated Review: our kiddo is 4&loves doing his own flips and tricks at home so we thought Little Ninjas would be perfect for him. He has sensory sensitivities&comes off shy at first. Once he warms up and gets a little encouragement, he loves his teachers.

Each week was a different teacher. Absolutely no consistency. The teachers are not trained at all how to work with young kids. They talk amongst one another instead of leading and encouraging the kids.

We had to actually ask the teacher to show our kid how to do something. When I asked the coach was rude and dismissive.

This establishment is ableist towards any kiddo who may need added support; that includes kids that I saw who probably have ADHD. They were just constantly told they were doing something wrong.

This establishment only cares about churning out a potential future Gold Medalist. That is the air that I got here. Our kiddo ASKED TO NOT GO BACK! This is the first time every he has asked to not go back to an activity (that he actually did enjoy).

Lastly, we shared our concerns and they just never wrote us back. Rude. Ableist, and the teenagers working there were entitled and rude.

I was hoping this establishment would reach back out but after a month, they obviously are okay that kids with disabilities fall through the cracks.

We did the little ninjas class for my 3yr as his first activity out of the house since Covid. The gym was nice but the teacher Jen didn't make us feel very welcome. Rarely said hello or goodbye and showed obvious frustration that my son had a harder time following the long sequence of instruction than the other kids. If your kids have done a gymnastics class before I'm sure they will do fine in this class. But if your child is new to gymnastics or group activities in general I would go somewhere where the staff is a little more understanding and patient with young first timers. We canceled after 4 weeks and will be trying another gym.

Great place to figure young kids especially if they're into dynamic based sports like gymnastics. Ms. Jennifer is quite wonderful, as well!!!
Side note, the view from the mini-peak of the hill is quite nice facing east the Puget Sounnd and you can see as far as the Olympic peninsula on a clear day.

Fantastic gym and a positive atmosphere! My daughter grew up here, started classes at age 2 and competing from age 6-18. My son and I did the Mom & tot classes and he moved on to the gym/karate class. I highly recommend this gym to anyone!

I have been at this gym for 16 years. My daughter competed for years. My son has done classes since he was 11 months old till now. I enjoy the rec class, and team options for both my kids over the years. Birthday parties are a hit too!

This camp is not really designed for little non-white kids. The “coaches” are kids themselves and don’t really know how to handle a little one’s needs. They seemingly have a preference for Caucasian kids which seemed like such a bizarre thing to have to observe. We tried by giving this expensive camp a solid week. But our otherwise social happy go lucky little girl started cocooning into a shy and timid person afraid of any “big kid”. I don’t recommend this place at all.

My rating is due to the fact that there isn't a great parent viewing area. You have to climb up a flight of stairs and watch from above. I have a 2 year old special needs son who can't walk or sit up who I have to bring with me to watch my girls in their class and since the viewing area isn't stroller/wheelchair accessible I have to carry him and hold him the entire time. I ended up having to take my girls out of their class and start somewhere else because it became too difficult. If you too are worried about handicap accessibility try out Bothell Gymnastic Club, they have great accessibility.

Good class options and reasonable staff. We had a few issues like a broken arm (at home) and 3 year old who threw up during a class. A coach came over and without embarrassing my daughter contained the body fluid. We had to adjust our schedule a few times and the staff always helped us with the schedule. Coaches care about injuries and I saw them stop kids that were acting reckless.
