NWPT is the awesome! Started going there a couple years ago after not going to the gym for several years to get in shape to climb Mt Fuji. They develop personal plans based on my goals and adventures. The staff is incredible, they make it fun to train. Highly recommend, especially Bri, she's a rockstar!

I've personally trained with Leah for many years. She is very attentive to my needs and will modify any exercise on the spot. The workouts vary each week that targets my full body muscles. I enjoy working out with Leah!

Brianna McMillian is the best trainer that I have ever had. She is supportive and encourages me in my quest to be in the best possible shape of my life. Her training has helped me to improve my Jiu Jitsu training significantly. I am able to do things again that I have not been able to do in 30 years. NW Personal Training has been a great experience. The facility is excellent, and the staff are always courteous and supportive. I worked with Marcia for about six months, and she helped me go from feeling completely out of shape to discovering strength in muscles I didn’t even know I had. She not only guided me through workouts in the gym but also showed me how to continue my exercises at home, which made a huge difference.
It is on the expensive side if you plan to stay year-round, but it’s an outstanding place to get started, build confidence, and establish a strong foundation for your fitness journey.

I’ve tried to incorporate strength training into my routine on my own for years, but I could never stay consistent. Training here changed that. The structure keeps me on track, and I’m finally building real strength and muscle.
I work with Destiny now, and she’s great, but I’ve trained with a bunch of the coaches this past year and they’ve all been solid. They know what they’re doing, they answer all my questions, and they adjust the plan based on where I’m at. I trust them to point me in the right direction.
The vibe is the best part. Zero ego. No “bro” energy. Everyone is friendly, relaxed, and easy to be around. It reminds me of being on a team again back when I was running competitively. We joke around, talk about life, and still get the work done.
If you’ve been wanting a routine or thinking about getting a trainer, this is an easy place to start. It’s welcoming, low-pressure, and the coaching actually works.

I've been working with Casey for months now and he is the man. Besides the obvious knowledge he possesses, he is is super approachable and almost feels like your working out with a "gym buddy". 10/10 recommend.
On top of that, everyone else there is a sweetheart! Friendly atmosphere the second you walk in, and the other trainers even seem to know who your are. The flexibility of working with other trainers if something is up with your primary is unavailable.
I have worked with Nick M. in this capacity and the ability to gain insight to different philosophies with other trainers is so awesome for expanding confidence and knowledge. He has even sent me some information even though I'm not "his client".
TLDR - Casey's great, Nick's great, this place is awesome. Definitely worth at the very least checking them out.

Leah has been doing one on one training with my husband for 5 years or more. He had several strokes so it was difficult to come in. During Covid we started facetime sessions and it has worked out so well that we stuck with it. He is sometimes a bit difficult to motivate, but Leah has been incredibly patient and persistent in helping him. Her encouragement has kept him moving and motivated. Without her training he might very well be bed-ridden.

They do an amazing job and are not only fun to work out with, but teach me about my body, my muscles, my diet, and so much more! My primary goal is to ensure I stay active, mobile and strong as I age, and am able to do the things I want to do for as long as I can ... and they are right there working with me to achieve this! I love working with Brianna and Marcia at NWPT. I know my confidence learning how to work out and feel comfortable in the gym setting has really improved with their help. I feel like I always leave Brianna's workouts feeling a little better whether it was a good day or a bad day to start and it's amazing to feel like you're getting stronger and stronger month to month. When I work with Marcia I always appreciate her contagious enthusiasm and obvious passion for what she does. It's fairly expensive, which can be hard, but for me in this season it's worth it as an investment for my longterm physical and mental wellbeing since I feel like I'm getting pretty top notch customized workouts here at NWPT. If you're in a place to invest time and money into getting stronger and healthier and are looking into personal training in particular, this place would be my top recommendation. Especially if you're new to or uncomfortable with the gym setting but want to start incorporating strength training.

I came into NWPT January of 2013 and have had Leah Minick as my trainer. She has encouraged me and been my one woman cheer squad through all life has thrown my way..We have done everything from Ballet to Barre and everything in-between.
She has always been my rock and steadfast supporter all these years.

I started using Northwest Personal Training around 7-9 years ago. I started w/ 1 time a week then several years ago I upped it 2 times a week. Very complete workout in various parts of the my body. She makes sure I am not overdoing any of the exercises.
I feel more relaxed and stand much straighter after each section. I have had other PT at NW PT. All have of them geared my exercises to my ability. My Trainer - Leah. She is even willing to to do Zoom sessions when I am out of town.

I have been training with Leah for about 20 years. There hasn't been one hour of that training time that I didn't enjoy or feel I gained tremendously from. She is a super trainer and does an excellent job of working all my muscle groups so that I get a well rounded workout. I’ve been training for 19+ years with a strong CrossFit and Olympic lifting background, and I thought I understood strength and performance—until I started working with Casey Jackson at Northwest Personal Training. Casey completely transformed the way I approach training, especially when it comes to hypertrophy and true muscle development.

Nick Higgins and Nathan Brown are my trainers at Northwest Personal Training. They are both incredible at what they do. They encourage and motivate me to work harder each session. Both are careful at watching my form so as to prevent injuries. The gym is small but never too crowded. Women's dressing room is awesome - has its own sauna, showers, and lots of amenities (hair dryers, etc.). After working out for over a year now, the gym and the people in it feel like home.

Marcia at NW Personal Training is wonderful and worth every penny. Though still struggling I look forward to working with her during the week. She pushes me just the right amount. She walks me through challenging exercises and is patient and kind. Her warm and bubbly personality is everything I need when I am there and I can't recommend her enough. I have bought two packages and I feel better and definitely notice a difference in my strength and toning. I almost didn't want to share - because she is always busy and I want to work w/ her for months to come! But this lady deserves all the accolades.😊
This is a boutique style gym. It's clean and offers a lot of different "stuff" in terms of exercise equipment. The staff are always friendly and welcoming.

Never though I’d cross the bridge from Portland just for a gym, but I enjoy this place that much.
Here’s what I love:
• Sauna in the women’s locker room – no reservation needed, no extra cost, just an amazing way to wrap up every single session.
• Group classes here are awesome! I can “lift heavy” here the way I like to, while others may go more gently, and there are an array of options to mix it up (and keep more conventional workouts balanced with stretching and yoga, etc). Instructors give great guidance and keep classes fresh.
• Locker room is huge, bright, clean, and stocked with fluffy towels. I don’t have to remember to pack shampoo, Q-tips, etc.
• Community vibe. People are super friendly, of all ages & abilities, and in some cases have been coming here for many years – yet they welcome newcomers!
• There’s always “something else” going on here as well – whether it’s the free outdoor bootcamps in summer or special lectures, trainings, yoga hikes with local pastries, you name it.
I believe this is the sort of gym many people are looking for!

Classes are good.They have strength training, weights with cardio, yoga, body weight classes. Obviously, personal training. They change it it every month class wise but same time wise. Coaches seem knowledgeable and really get you pumped up. There is a sense of community as you see the same people and everyone knows everyone. There is alot of sharing(benches, mats) The coaches also make it a point to remember your name. Try it out!

I participated in a free, one-month study through Northwest Personal Training, and I have to say I really enjoyed my time there. My trainer Marshall was really knowledgeable, and he took great care with my lower back injury. I have worked out with other trainers and left with more inflammation and pain, but that was not the case here. My workouts were safe, the right amount of a challenge, and efficient. At the end of my study, I felt stronger, more stable and in less pain than when I had started. I highly recommend, if you have the budget and the time to invest in personal training!

NWPT has taught me so much. As a senior, I come from that 60s era where we did pushups and sit-ups. My trainer Amber has taught me dozens of newer exercises that work each area of my body so much better than pushups and sit-ups! Amber also puts me through core strengthening exercises which are so important at my age. Or any age! Joining NWPT was one of the best decisions of my life. I was in my mid-fifties, sporting a 20 lb beer baby and felt if I didn't do something to get in shape it was never going to happen. I said "If I don’t get a plan to get in shape TODAY it’ll never happen." That was over ten years ago! The Team at NWPT has helped me lose those 20 lbs, rehabilitate me through a total shoulder replacement needed from a skiing adventure in my early twenties, and two hip replacements due to having too much fun in earlier years. I consider the staff at NWPT to be more than personal trainers, they are therapists. They tailor the workouts to your body and watch that you don't injure yourself in the process. I am a long-time client of NWPT. I have attended many group classes, boot camps and nutrition challenges over many years. I have worked with many of the trainers and have been personal training with Nick for quite a while. He is friendly, knowledgeable, and has helped me so much with balance and mobility training. He is a stickler for correct form which if you are putting in the effort, you need to have good form to get best results. He is constantly switching up routines, so I am challenged each time to keep my body on its toes! Working with the trainers at Northwest Personal Training has been absolutely fantastic. I work primarily with Alicia Rose who is always encouraging, very attentive, and makes sure my form stays correct during exercises (which I constantly stray from) to prevent injury.
I sat down with her a while back and explained my goals, and it's been great, she's the one who created the game plan and I simply show up and do the workouts.
On the occasion where Alicia's schedule and mine don't align, I've worked with the other trainers such a Jaimie, Bob, Nick, Nathan to name a few. In those circumstances, NWPT does a wonderful job during a hand off to a different trainer, so the other trainer knows what my goals are. The other trainer may have different techniques or methods than Alicia, but it's comfortable knowing the other trainers and I are still on the same page.
The facility is not huge or intimidating and I've seen every body shape and age being trained and supported at NWPT. In every instance, I've seen the trainers meet the individual at where they are on their goal path.
I can honestly say only good things about NWPT, from their front desk staff, to their trainers, to Sherrie the owner. They've created a great environment to help me and several others I know, achieve their goals.
I would definitely recommend Northwest Personal Training.

My husband and I have been partner training at Northwest Personal Training for about 9 months. It is the first time we've ever used a personal trainer and I was really nervous. The staff their are so friendly, personal and caring they made us immediately feel at home. I was worried that we'd be the only ones out of shape there but you'll find a wide range of clients and I have never felt judged but only encouraged.

Don't be fooled by the name - Northwest Personal Training does much more than just personal training. I learned long ago that group fitness classes are my preferred workout; and NWPT delivers on that and then some. Everyone is top notch and friendly. Love working out here and getting the training that I need. I have had chronic pain issues and with patience, accountability they have helped me get my body moving again and back to enjoying some of the activities that I love to do.
I have yet to work with a trainer that I haven't liked. I appreciate that they are all willing to research and find new ways to get a muscle group working or loosened up. If you want nutrition advice, they have help for that as they all seem knowledgeable about what should go in the body as well.
