I’m sad I had to cancel my membership here - totally unrelated to the gym itself - but I wanted to leave a review that spoke to the ease of both joining and leaving this gym.
All contact was over the phone or text and the payment was set up through MindBody online.
The location itself is small but has everything you’d expect in a well established garage gym. There are plenty of squat racks, bars (one 15kg women’s bar), plates, benches, etc. I loved being able to sync my phone to the Bluetooth speakers when I was by myself. Also was relieved to discover the chalk bowl. It’s amazing how many gyms don’t allow it. What even.
Cancelation was just a matter of emailing Trever.
Despite leaving (😭) I highly recommend this gym to anyone looking for a clean and quiet place to lift heavy things.

Been training at Northwest strong for a little over 6 months now. Great place to work out in and also reasonably priced. Trever is super friendly and great to talk to. Working with coach Hrishikesh has been a game changer. He really knows his stuff and has helped me overcome my back and ankle injuries to get back to lifting heavy again. Great gym with great instructors! I have tried other gyms/personal training programs in the past, but never felt like instructors cared. Trever and Michael were accommodating of my limited schedule and respectful of my current fitness state. Just finished my 4 week program and I actually enjoy working out again. I left with a strong foundation and excitement to continue my own journey with the calisthenics! Can’t recommend enough!

The space may be small, but it has all the equipment I needed to lift and also get in some HIIT workouts. It also never felt too crowded because of how well the space is laid out.
I originally started out with 1:1 and group class training sessions under Isaiah. He’s honestly the best and taught me so many valuable exercises that consistently targeted my goals. Even when I injured my back and couldn’t walk for 1.5 weeks, he gave me excellent feedback on workouts to do every day that most people go to their physical therapist for. My physical therapist was even shocked that I was proactive about my injury and didn’t have additional feedback to give me. That really highlights how knowledgeable and caring the personal trainers are at this gym.
I also always felt so welcomed. Trever takes the time to learn everyone’s name and always goes out of his way to say hi and check in on how things are going.
Even though I’m moving and have to cancel my membership, it’s still such an excellent and smooth transition. I really appreciate my time here and am so grateful I had access to a gym with all the equipment I needed and endless resources amongst all the trainers!

Been a 24/7 access member for a year because it’s so close to my house and I love supporting small businesses in the neighborhood. But the gym is disgusting. In the year I’ve been a member I’ve never seen the chalk dust by the dumbbells vacuumed or piles of dust in corners. In a small space where people sweat, plus it being a post pandemic world, you’d think some semblance of cleanliness would be a priority. Sadly it just isn’t. I’m cancelling my membership :-/

I've been with Northwest Strong for the past nearly two years and I can highly recommend it for a good gym. It doesn't have every machine you could ask for, but it has enough and doesn't get packed like the larger gyms in the area do. 24/7 access is also great.
Trever is also a great guy, and genuinely cares about you regardless of if you train with him or alone. Really supportive, always asks how you're doing, and is incredibly caring!
10/10, again, highly recommend! Can't say enough good things about this place

I found this little gem of a gym in downtown Seattle at the corners of second Ave. and Vine Street. What a find! It’s a small corner gym with almost everything this competitive power lifter needs for a workout late on a Sunday night.
I was able to get a last-minute day pass and I’m extremely glad I found this place. It has:
Kettle bells 9 pounds up to 70 pounds
Dumbbells 5 pounds through 100 pounds
Six Torque X-Siege (?) squat racks with benches
Seated cable row
Lat pulldown
Treadmill
Rogue bike
Rowing machine
and much more.
The next time I’m in downtown Seattle, I will definitely be coming back.

I stopped by NWS while on a work trip. Trever greeted me at the door while he was working with a client. He gave me a rundown of the facility and left me to my workout. NWS had everything I needed for my workout which was high volume upper push/pull day. So happy I ventured to NWS. When I’m back in Seattle, I’ll definitely be back.

I’ve worked out at a few gyms around downtown/cap hill area and this is by far my favorite. Very well maintained. Great selection and availability of equipment. 24/7 access is a huge plus for me since I sometimes workout late nights or on holidays.
I have been training with Trever for about a month and I’ve had a great experience so far. I came in with a few recurring injuries and Trever has helped me workout through it and also get a couple of PRs along the way as well! I’m feeling stronger than ever before and really happy that I can lift more than ever before without any pain or injuries.
Highly recommend it whether you are interested in personal training or to just have a nice workout by yourself!

I love NWS!!! I've been going here for 2+ years and it's the best gym in the area. I used to think that all gyms are the same, but this place is really special for a couple of reasons:
1. Trever is an incredible coach and a super thoughtful owner. He puts tremendous care into his clients' programs as well as the gym and it shows. He's a wealth of knowledge and very intentional about connecting with and getting to know everyone who goes to the gym. You can immediately tell he truly cares about everyone and their fitness journey - regardless of whether they're training with him or not. I really appreciate this factor because I don't want to go to just another cold, impersonal gym. There are plenty of those around.
2. You have all the equipment you need for proper training, and nothing superfluous. Every piece of equipment at NWS is there with intention, and there's usually a friendly trainer around to show you the ropes if you have questions.
3. It's open 24/7. That means if I fancy working out at odd hours or whenever the heck it's convenient for me, I can do so. This also helps tremendously with "rush hour" because there's more flexibility for each member to work out whenever they want. Having gone to other gyms, this is a huge plus for me.
4. Lastly, the environment is welcoming and encouraging; the clientele is diverse and unique. Again, this isn't just another gym chain - it's a small, local business and that's part of what makes this place so special. I only began my fitness journey 2 yrs ago and as intimidated as I was to get started, I never felt out of place or like I didn't have the support around the gym to keep me going.
All in all great facility, fantastic owner, I'll continue to go here for as long as I'm in Seattle!

Northwest Strong is probably the best neighborhood gym there is. We have been part of a trainer-led program for the last 3 years and have seen incredible changes in our physical strength. Awesome gym with a convenient location for those living in Belltown and useful 24hr access. I worked out here for a year and a half and made some significant gains. The space is small but utilized well with lots of high-quality barbell racks and benches, and some cable machines. No plate loaded machines here like you might find at larger gyms. I never found it too crowded even at peak hours, and going at off hours usually meant having the space to myself. I didn't take classes here but the owner and staff were really friendly.

I love this gym! It's just the basics, but that's really all I need. I've never had issues with it being too crowded, and there's plenty of space. Awesome central location, there's always been plenty of closeby street parking when I've gone, and the fact that the door locks makes it feel very secure. Absolutely ideal little performance training center. Small but very well equipped with all the key athletic training and development tools. Top tier brands, racks, bars, belts, collars. I recently stayed at a hotel in downtown Seattle for a work trip. First thing I did was scope out the gym set-up and was slapped with disappointment by the lack of equipment. I quickly hopped on google maps to look for gyms within walking distance.
After a quick review of a few options I pinned NWSTRONG due to the pictures of the equipment and 24/7 access.
I quickly walked over and was greeted with hospitality, a free training session, and a tour by the owner, Trever. Had I great workout at low cost for the entirety of my stay. I will definitely stop back in next time I am in the area.

I have been a member (24/7 access) at Trever's gym for around a year now. It has been a great experience.
The space itself is compact, but well outfitted with plenty of racks as well as dumbbells and kettlebells that cover a good range of weights. There are row and pulldown machines, a dual cable machine, and a variety of cardio machines.
All of the equipment is well maintained, and the members and trainers are friendly and keep the gym tidy. If the price and location are a good match for you, I would highly recommend this gym.

If you are living in or visiting Seattle and serious about your lifting routine, Northwest Strong is the place to be. Absolutely beautiful facility with 24/7/365 access. Clean bathrooms, weight room, changing area, etc. The facility has everything I needed and was never crowded. Above all else, Trever is super a good dude who is very responsive to texts and cares about all the members of Northwest Strong. Great equipment the facility was well-maintained has a really nice vibe of being able to put your own music on. The Bluetooth speakers is a plus or at the ability to have access to the gym whenever perfect if you like to work out by yourself. Definitely will be going back.

I was visiting Seattle for the weekend and needed to work out. The owner of this gym was so friendly and accommodating. He made sure I had the opportunity to use it whenever I needed. The equipment was fantastic and the environment was awesome. Will definitely return if I'm ever in Seattle again. If I lived there, 100% would purchase a membership.

We were visiting Seattle and were looking for a gym to train at. We came upon Northwest Strength and was able to get in touch with the owner, Trever. He was quick to respond to our request to visit his gym and was very welcoming when we arrived. The gym is kept up very well and provided the equipment we needed to train for powerlifting. The gym is also well-lit and surrounded with windows so it provides a good ambience to train at especially during the day. Would definitely come back and train here again 💪🏽

I have been going to Northwest Strong for the last 9 months and training with Trever has been an amazing experience. Trever is very friendly and responsive to make sure you have the best experience. He created training plans which fit my fitness level and kept updating them as I progressed. The place is well equipped with 24 hours access and conveniently located.

They have everything you’ll need for any kind of workout, and Trever made the visit easy and was super accommodating! Highly recommend to anyone staying in that area to stop by and get a workout in!

I visited Seattle for a week and stayed near NW Strong. I walked in hoping to have a place to get in a couple of workouts, and the owner, Trevor, greeted me immediately. He was super cool and enthusiastic, and he welcomed me to use the gym while I was in town. The equipment is first-rate and well-organized, and the space is clean and well-lighted. I highly recommend NW Strong and will definitely be back next time I'm in town.

This gym is absolutely fantastic. I'm from Ontario, Canada, and I'm travelling on the West Coast. I was walking down the street when I saw that this gym was open. I decided to go in to see if I could get a free trial so I could get a workout in. Many gyms would say no, but Trevor, the operator of this gym, said that would be no problem at all, and had me sign a COVID waiver. He then showed me around the place, including a kitchen and bathroom. He was incredibly professional and kind. I got a full workout in, using their quite generous array of equipment. During my workout, Trevor was very patiently and professionally training a couple of individuals that were new to fitness. This was by far my best experience in a gym on the West Coast and I would highly recommend it to anyone.

Amazing space with lots of energizing natural light! Doesn’t feel like you’re stuck in a stuffy room like some gyms I’ve been to. I love this gym! It is super clean and well maintained. The people who use this gym are also very respectful. There is not always staff there to regulate, but despite that, the weights were always re racked and things were in their place. Trever is very responsive and accommodating. The speakers in the gym were amazing and i loved the fact that i can connect my phone to play my own songs when i was in there alone. Cant say enough good things about this place!

Love this new gym with all new weights! But that's not the only why it deserves a 5 stars: Trevor is a great trainer! He's very accurate at assessing my level and pushing me out my comfort zone to make progress! I have been working out myself before meeting him, but it was because of Trevor that I was able to do my first ever pull up!

Been working out with Trever for a while now. He is very knowledgeable and mixes up exercises to get the best out of our workout. He also takes into consideration if there's things (muscle sprains/pain) that are bothering us and comes up with an alternate workout for the specific muscle groups. I had a long standing groin pain that he helped me overcome. I like weights whereas my partner likes more of a HIIT format. Trever plans our workout keeping individual goals in mind. I went from squating 100lbs to 255lbs and benching 85lbs to 160lbs. It's been only a few months and I can see some progress. Same for my girlfriend who has gone from barely being able to do a couple pushups to doing 10+ pushups with much ease. My pull-up game has also improved.
