Highly recommend to everyone. OT provides a structured class, motivation from coaches, music, and other gym members. Everyone is so positive that it is easy to make new friends and be surrounded by others who will cheer you on. My endurance and strength have both improved, if you haven't been to a class you should schedule one and see what OT can help you achieve.

Updating my review to reflect recent studio changes. First, can't give enough praise to head coach Nicol and Coach Danielle, who both keep the energy high and correct form. Front desk staff do a great job, particularly when they have to the be "face" of delivering bad news like schedule changes or cancelled classes. Manager is great at planning fun out of studio adventures for team members, really feels like a gym family
Update: 6:45 pm and 7 pm classes have returned. Much easier for those who work long days to make it into an evening class. Very pleased to see these classes back on the schedule.

I like the variety of changing up the workout emphasis between endurance vs speed vs strength training or any combination of them. I especially love having the Coach motivate and encourage us throughout each workout. Makes the time fly by!

I absolutely love the energy during workouts. The coaches and the atmosphere keep me motivated to work harder. The workouts can be scaled to any skill level and there are systems in place to measure my success. I will never use another gym!!! OTF has won my business for life!

Love being a member of OrangeTheory, and love our club. From the moment you enter and Bailey enthusiastically greets you, till the time you leave class a sweat drenched mess, everything is perfect. OTF has helped me hit my goals and allowed me to push for more than I thought I could. The staff is amazing and supportive, and it can feel like a family atmosphere there. I LOVE ORANGE THEORY!!! I love the whole package! The coaches are knowledgeable, motivating, encouraging, and truly interested in helping all of us get the best workout possible. I also love the music, the fact that every workout is different enough to keep working out interesting, and I get a great workout in an hour! The staff are very friendly, encouraging, and helpful. This is the only workout style that has given me results. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE ORANGE THEORY FITNESS!!

I have committed to a better workout schedule with Orange Theory. This has provided me with the ability to work on me. I was able to lift a 30lb dumbbell; I normally stick with 15lbs. I am beginning to get outside of my confront zone and improve my overall fitness. The pounds on the scale are not moving fast, but my body measurements are shrinking. I find myself excited to attend each class, and my food/calorie choices are getting better. Orange Theory provides motivation not just from the workout but also the friendly coaches and support staff who are always positive and happy to see everyone. This is my only gym and I am proud to be a member. You should come join me, I highly recommend Orange theory to anyone who is looking to improve themselves with their overall health goals. 10 out of 10 rating

My fiancé and We’ve been going to orangetheory south hill since October 2018 and I’ve lost 22lbs and fiancé lost about 35lbs! I remember our first day workout is tornado coach by Jaime.. it’s crazy workout we thought we’re going to passed out lol but after 60mins every sweat we had is worth it! All coaches and staff’s in south hill are very kind and always helping us same time pushing us lol too! Orangetheory workout is addicting, even our body is still sore we keep going and going lol .thank you Orangetheory (southill) for being part of our journey and help our lifestyle. “No pain & No gain”

I recommend Orange Theory very highly to anyone interested in a serious, well rounded workout. I had been thinking of joining because I had reached a plateau in my workouts awhile back and wanted to do something different. I am very happy that I joined Orange Theory Fitness. Although my primary location is Lincoln Square in Chicago, because of my schedule I also visit often the locations in Puyallup/South Hill, WA; Crown Point, IN; and Skokie, IL. All four clubs are excellent.
Orange Theory Fitness appeals to me for many reasons. First, it is group workout environment, but you never feel as if you are competing with anyone except yourself. The group environment can also be motivating. At my first workout (which is generally free to anyone wanting to find out out more), the rower routine called for a 1600 meter push. If I had been working out on my own, I probably would have quit at 600 or 700 meters, but in the group environment, I completed all 1600 meters. Second, the trainers (called coaches) so far have been universally excellent, supportive and non judgmental; none have the drill sergeant mentality. I also like that the one hour workout involves cardio on a treadmill, weights and exercises on the floor, and a rowing machine. You are constantly moving and working. And the routines and exercises are varied. You never seem to do the same exercise twice. I am clearly working out more consistently and intensely since joining, and my whole body is feeling the workout.
One of my initial concerns when joining was if I would feel out of place at my age (64). While it is true I am usually the oldest or one of the oldest in a class, I have never felt out of place. I met another man my age (Dennis at the Crown Point location), and he felt the same way. Orange Theory Fitness is a welcoming environment.
Orange Theory Fitness's prime marketing tool is the heart monitor you are required to purchase. The theory is that if you get your heart to a certain rate (what they call the orange and red level), then your body will continue to burn calories for up to 36 hours after the workout. I have read a few articles disputing that theory, but I do not care. I like the heart monitor because during the workout I can look up and see my heart rate. For me it is a motivator more than anything else. The one drawback for some will be the costs. The monitor costs $119, and the monthly charges are higher than a simple club; but it is much cheaper (and I think better) than a personal trainer.
I intend to stay with Orange Theory Fitness indefinitely. Right now, although the workouts are tough, I feel great afterwards and I am beginning to feel the change.

That it’s not your typical gym class. It’s not a typical circuit training class. It’s never repetitive, and always a challenge. I was in pretty good shape, outwardly, when I started, end of August. By only slightly modifying a few exercises, I can do everything OT puts forward. The few modifications are in consideration of the plethora of injuries incurred over 23 years in the army. And, I’ve found that I’m using muscles I completely forgot about. I hate running, it seems all we did in the Army. I’m a cyclist. But, on the OT treads, it’s almost fun, and definitely pushes you. If you want a challenge, that’s interesting, never boring, will get you into shape AND fun; this is the place to make it happen

I want to start by saying I LOVE OTF! With that being said this review is for the customer service only at the Puyallup South Hill location only.
I drove south to workout with my sister, (I have been a member for 2 years up north) she had not been to OTF before and our schedules finally worked out. So I called 5 days ahead of time to schedule the class for both of us and gave all the required information. I was told she just needed to be there 20 minutes before the class to sign a waiver and get set up with a heart rate monitor (same as my club, I have brought other guests with me previously).
So when my sister and I showed we were told she couldn’t attend the class because we weren’t there 30 minutes early. The lady at the front desk was not very pleasant, not apologetic, made no effort to get her in the class and told us we would have to come back. There was still plenty of time before the class started to sign the waiver and put on a heart rate monitor.

I love the running, the music, the competitive atmosphere. I am visual with my goals so I love that I can see where my heart rate is and run harder, push harder. I can run faster then I ever would have pushed myself on my own. The coaches are amazing and everyone is so nice.

I love this place. I took my staff here for a group work out and we had a great time. A few of our staff members want to become members! I appreciate OTF because I don't do high intensity workouts on my own, but they make it very motivating and fun. Thanks guys!

I love that I don’t have to decide what to do to get an amazing workout. I know next to nothing about weight training and don’t tend to push myself to run faster or run hills so these workouts take care of that. The coaches are awesome motivators and I love the accountability built into the program. So many days i would just go home and call it a night if i hadn’t already booked that class. Instead, i go and I never regret it. I have never consistently worked out at a gym until OTF. I love it and tell everyone all the time.

I’ve never actually gone to the location but they somehow got ahold of my phone number and WILL NOT STOP CALLING ME. I’ve said I wasn’t interested. They’ve even called asking for the wrong name multiple times. Over the last week they have called at least 40 times. I’ve asked them to stop calling me and they don’t. They call a minimum of twice a day. Whatever you do DONT GIVE THEM YOUR NUMBER!! I didn’t sign up for anything. They are just relentless and annoying.

I went to my first class this morning and I was definitely a bit nervous because I’m so out of shape but everything was great. I didn’t feel any pressure to keep up with people in better shape than me because I’m going off of my own heart rate. The coaches were friendly and encouraging. I am feeling like jello after the first class! I recommend this program for people that aren’t motivated enough on their own at the gym. I’m excited to see my results and get into shape
