I have enjoyed my time at OTF, but unfortunately I had to cancel my membership due to a very negative and humiliating experience. During one class, coach Dani literally yelled at me in front of everyone for using my phone, speaking to me as if I were a child. It was extremely embarrassing not only for me, but also for others around me who looked visibly uncomfortable.
I have very poor eyesight and cannot wear contact lenses, and glasses are difficult to manage while working out. For that reason, I use my phone to take a quick photo of the whiteboard with the dayβs workout. When I explained this to Dani, she dismissively told me to βsit closer to the whiteboard next time.β However, I typically arrive about 10 minutes before class due to work, and by then the closer spots are already taken.
Adding to this, the whiteboards in the studio are small and the dark orange lighting makes them even harder to see. Larger whiteboards or better lighting would make workouts far more accessible, especially for those with vision challenges.
Most importantly, I also need to keep my phone with me at all times, as my elderly mother lives far away and I must be reachable in case of an emergency.
There were no posted signs or app notifications stating that cell phones were not allowed when I booked her particular class, so the way this was handled felt unnecessary and harsh. For a gym that promotes itself as LGBTQ+ friendly and inclusive, this experience was the opposite, it made me feel excluded and disrespected.
I left feeling humiliated, and I would strongly advise others, especially those with vision challenges or family obligations requiring phone access, to avoid classes led by Dani and to be cautious with this particular Belltown OTF branch.

1. If you are a newbie/or of heavier build, this workout is bad for your knees. Know a couple of folks who did 4-5 classes per week, ended up having ITBS and for one it took a couple of months to fully recover.
2. Management is horrible. (staff and coaches are nice though) My membership was auto-paused during Covid. In April beginning they dropped just 1 mail stating that unless you reach out to them they will restart your membership and start charging you. I missed that mail and was charged 175 bucks for April. When I reached out to them and explained them the situation the manager was not cooperative at all. This seemed more odd given that King County (Seattle region) was still struggling and switching between Phase 2 and Phase 3 reopening and the vaccination just opened for general use like 3 weeks ago.
3. Sketchy billing practices. (Say from both my experience and of other folks, check the reviews below )
4. The space is cramped with hardly good ventilation. (true for Belltown office, not sure about other places). Cramped gyms in a pandemic is a red flag.
I would recommend joining a locally owned gyms. I currently am part of one such community, 3 times in terms of the floor space and equipments of Belltown, really good instructors and under 200 members. If you are into cardio, Seattle has enough open spaces, parks and bike lanes to do that.

Note- the classes are good and they have good early times on weekdays.
This review is about the difficulty in cancelling memberships even with a 30+ day notice. The customer service has been disappointing by not replying to my emails and refusing to accept my cancellation and charging me before my billing cycle. For anyone thinking about joining, get everything in writing if you decide to pause or cancel your membership. They make it extremely difficult to do anything and wonβt keep their word per phone conversations!

I am visiting Seattle for the weekend and popped into this studio for a class. Tyler at the front desk was excellent with getting me setup for class, showing me around and the client intake process! Carlos the coach was fantastic with day one of Mayhem! If you live in the Seattle area or are visiting from abroad, I highly recommend this studio! I felt right at home! Thank you OTF Belltown!

Terrible location, terrible front desk girl who sounded Australian. She was so sickening, I didnβt like her at all and the way she spoke to me. The people are not very nice here, theyβre super pushy about their lame workout and I hate their entire system. Tracking people is such a weird concept, it should be a fun workout. Why would you pay to do a few rounds of treadmill, rowing and basic strength? Just sign up for a gym. Its overpriced for what youβre getting. I highly recommend Studio 3 if you want a great studio and a mix of workouts for a similar price. The vibe is SPECTACULAR over there. Plus they have a smoothie bar. Iβm going to stick to them instead of OrangeTheory.

Extremely lousy workouts for which you will be over paying. You can literally do this in your living room instead of paying $150 every month. Also, the customer service is horrible. Personally I donβt write such negative reviews, however, when it came down to a point to cancel my membership, they have policies that will rob you of your money and not let your cancel on time. I literally paid an extra of $217 to just get my membership cancelled.

My experience was ok till I had to quit. They make you pay for the next month as well, not just for 30 days ahead, but the leftover current billing cycle, and the next one. The manager told me they would send me to collections incase I didn't pay the same.
EDIT : Response to the comment from the owner : Yeah, I contacted the studio. The studio manager told me they would send me to Collections if I don't pay. So please do not act like you are willing to work to a resolution when you are not. If you are , you have my email, reach out to me on email.

We were not communicated cancellation policy while joining which requires to give one billing cycle notice if you want to cancel. Which according to me is unfair and unreasonable to have for a gym of fitness center.

I called to cancel my membership, as I suffered with a severe injury and had a surgery, but the staff was rude, would not cancel my membership and disconnected my call in the middle. They are still charging me. Would definitely not recommend this money stealing place to anyone as they are not considerate even after having a doctorβs note.

I have been a member at Orangetheory for almost 2.5 years at different studios in Washington DC amd Florida and I have never come across a worse studio. Tried getting a friend to sign up at their studio for the first time and he couldnβt come that day so they charged him a 18$ drop in fee plus 12$ late cancel fee. No policy at OTF charges both. I once sprained my ankle while dancing so I called the studio requesting for a late cancel to which they agreed and I was happy until I saw a late cancel charge on my CC. On calling them the front desk says βitβs JUST 12$β.
Once they assigned the same space to 2 people, and got a waitlisted member to join the class. When we came to the front desk to inquire, they asked the waitlisted member to leave the class after 10 minutes of working out.
As if these incidents werenβt enough, remember to not touch any retail item on their shelf because in their policy the moment you take anything off of their shelf or even touch it, itβs supposed to be paid for. The front desk doesnβt know prices of their own retail items and this one guy will literally go behind you to charge you 50 bucks for a water bottle. Told them multiple times, that I donβt mind paying for it but this one guy at the front desk (fair skin tone and slightly long blonde hair who is normally there at 5:30 PM weekdays) rudely asks me for my CC information. He attempts 3 transactions without my approval. Thankfully I had locked my card during the argument. This just shows poor management and less training of the front desk staff. I would never recommend this particular OTF studio. I got 3 people to sign up for their membership here and yes they will all be canceling.
The only thing nice about this studio are the coaches. Super friendly - especially coach Rachel and Dina

Iβve been a member of OTF Belltown since 2019. I was tired of being tired all the time and running out of excuses to not workout. I finally committed to a free class and signed up for an unlimited membership the same day. No regrets. I try to go at least 3 times a week to get the most out of my membership.
The coaches, community and other members have been amazing. Rachel is the head coach at OTF Belltown and with her encouragement I have PRβd on several benchmark workouts. I love being able to share OTF with my friends and family. My brothers and I workout together at least once a week.

What a gift it is to find a fitness community that makes you feel strong, powerful, and confident. That place is OTF Belltown. The staff, coaches, and members are so welcoming and encouraging. After nearly 900 classes, I can still say that I'm never bored and I remain thankful that I get to make OTF part of my daily routine. It's also fun to see people at various points in their fitness journey, be that beginner or advanced, succeed in class. I would recommend OTF to anyone!

Joining Orangetheory has been a good way to get back into working out after a lapse. There is variety in the workouts and different activities (benchmarks, challenges, contests and theme days) to stay engaged. The workouts are inclusive to all activity levels, in a judgement free and encouraging environment. Difficulty is dependent on yourself. If it's an off day, you can back down. As you get stronger it continues to be challenging as you add more speed or weight to the mix. Seeing growth through heart rate is rewarding.
Membership is not cheap and you're charged for missing class. It can be a negative, but it actually pushes me to take many classes and prevents me from skipping out on a class to get the most out of my membership. Which means results.
With a large number of locations, I can still workout on a trip and it's nice to explore studios around town.
Belltown has a very friendly staff. Location is ideal if visiting Seattle. It's a busy studio, with as many stations that will fit to accommodate demand, space is tight.

I love the endorphins I feel after a morning workout at Orangetheory. My weekday is spent going from meeting to meeting, call to call. OTF forces me to prioritize my health and exercise - it's a rewarding 60-minute way kickstart the day. The Belltown studio is super clean and the coaches are amazing!!

The classes are good, but beware of the cancelation procedure. For whatever reason if you have to cancel, they will still charge one full month of fee - regardless of when you cancel. We had put our membership on freeze, and then decided to cancel - they said despite paying the freeze fee ($15 a month) which is a fee for no service, they wanted another full month membership before canceling. That's awful!

Been a member at the Belltown location for two months now and absolutely canβt say enough great things about the community. Instructors and staff are very friendly and were quick to learn my partner and Iβs name, and are always down to chat before/after class. Workouts are great, I usually leave class drenched in sweat but not too sore so that I can go multiple times a week. Asked the head coach Rachel about how to improve my experience during classes according to my fitness goals and she gave me lots of good tips. Also great energy during class, first studio Iβve been to where 95-100% of the class stays for the post-workout stretches. Other members are friendly and many love to socialize outside of OTF. Would recommend for anyone looking for a good studio in the area.

I love Orange Theory Belltown! I was there from the beginning in 2017, but took a 2.5 year hiatus with the pandemic. (In my defense, Iβm a nurse and got covid twice π³) Iβm thrilled to be back and I truly missed it. Elia, Rachel, Lena and the entire staff are so friendly and helpful. While I do need to lose the covid-20, I feel strong and I know I will get there. The mix of cardio and weight training is always different, it actually feels fun. Iβd recommend it to everyone, you can get a great work out at whatever level you need, there are so many options and it is such a welcoming vibe.

I just started this year and absolutely recommend this OTF location to anyone wanting to join a gym at which you are welcomed daily, constantly encouraged by each of the instructors, and provided guidance when not doing the form correctly. There's no judgement at this location. All of the staff and clients are always friendly. A big Shout-Out to the Manager -- She always remembers every single client's name. I honestly do not know how she does it. She always makes you feel personally welcomed!! :) If you are struggling with the cost, then don't because it is an investment in your health. I like spending an hour knowing that I will leave a healthier and better version of myself and not have to think about it. The instructors tell you exactly what to do and when. I especially love their All Out sessions. This is when you get to test your limits. I have closer OTF locations that I can attend, but I drive out of my way to come to this location solely because of the OTF Team there.

Iβve been coming for a year, 100 classes. I love OTF. Theyβre good hard workouts, but super approachable. The trainers are friendly and supportive. Iβve never felt judged for picking lower weights or walking on the treadmill. Theyβll help adjust workouts for your needs. But they also encourage you to give it your all. Instructor was pleasant enough, but never left the coach's station and screwed up the "all outs" at least 2x. Both bikes were broken but nobody was aware. Also, the coach assigns the stations which I guess is not that unusual but I've never seen it. Upside, it was very clean and very well taken care of (except bikes).

Did not find much value here compared to any other group fitness class. Felt like I was basically paying to use a treadmill/rowing machine that I could use anywhere. Only thing unique about this place is the option to buy a band that monitors heart rate (which one has to pay an additional $100 to purchase and use during classes) something that an apple watch or any other fitness band can do equally well if not better. Only pro is that staff is super sweet and friendly.

Worst orange theory branch I've been to:
1. Workout space is extremely cramped;
2. Most classes are 3G since they want to squeeze as many people in one class as possible;
3. Weird waitlist policy. Basically you can only get into a class if someone does not show up, this is extremely confusing since I don't know if I should go to the studio if I'm on waitlist. I believe this is also setup to maximize their revenue since late cancellation/no-show counts toward a class;
4. UNETHICAL! I cancelled my subscription well beyond 30 days' notice but got billed for a second month! And apparently there is no cancellation record under my name! This is just WRONG in any measure.

My home gym is Eugene, OR and I compare all gyms to them because the staff in Eugene is amazing! I travel a lot for work and I have visited many other OTFβs and rarely do they stack up against my home gym. However, Belltown is a shining exception! I absolutely loved this gym! The morning class I took with coach Anna is easily in my top 10 (out of 350) favorite classes ever! The gal at the front desk (Iβm sorry I didnβt get her name) was so friendly and helpful. At Belltown, I consistently experience high calorie burning workouts where I leave feeling sore and accomplished. I have taken classes at several other studios in other states and have felt the most progress toward my goals have come from my time in the Belltown studio. While I have moved away, I will truly miss the coaches and staff of this studio and hope I can return sometime in the future.

I really like it no complains, coaches are great, staff is great. It is exactly what I needed. Anyway, it would be a 9/10 for me because these little issues:
What I donβt like, is regarding 1) the wait list : it does not take into account the time to get there, so I might be 10mn away and then I got confirmed and did send any notification or any βyou are now the next in, please hereβ. Sometimes, I got confirmed with no time
To get there. 2) I need a charge check, since it appeared that I canceled late a class and that is not true. I donβt cancel classes and it seems it is an issue coming from the wait list. 3) wrist monitor is expensive and should be included 4) the monitor does not work with a phone at 5meters away, 100 usd just to use it in the class seems a bad profit and you are taking advantage of people to make more money.

This place has very sketchy billing practices. I was on a freeze due to pregnancy and they suddenly started billing me when the doctors note clearly says when I am due. The only coach that is good is Josh. Itβs bummer because this was a great studio when it first opened.

I was visiting studio from out of town and couldnβt have been happier. The staff was great! Very friendly and welcoming. The coach we had (Anna) was awesome! Great energy, great playlist and was attentive to members doing the exercises properly. There was plenty of space between treads, rowers and floor area. Will definitely go back to this studio next time Iβm in Seattle.

I was very skeptical about Orange Theory until I took my first class. I've been attending the Belltown location for 4 months and really love the experience. The process and infrastructure is so organized and the support staff are very knowledgeable, helpful, and are just very pleasant individuals to interact with. The programmed workouts differ day to day and week to week, and are consistently challenging--I'm never bored and I have a productive workout each class. The Belltown coaches are top notch. They work with you and are watching out for your safety. Did I mention the equipment is top of the line and cleaned frequently? The bottom line, Orange Theory is worth the money and you just may end up loving it.

I have been attending this gym for about 1 month now and it's been great! The staff is friendly and helpful. The classes and trainers are awesome. I would highly recommend taking a class with Jen or Josh, I've taken classes with several of the trainers and they are by far my favorite! They both bring a lot of energy/excitment and do a great job motivating the class.

Iβm an experienced runner and train 6 days a week. I arrived 17 minutes before the class and was refused service because they need 30 min to explain how it works. I do know the concept, pacers, screens, treadmill, rowing machine and strength on the floor, and all that. They couldnβt make an exception and use 17 min instead of βrequiredβ 30. Too bad, you lost a potencial customer.

Absolutely the best 1 hour workout that you do be consistent with. Been doing it for 8 months now and have been able to keep up 5 day weeks even 6 sometimes. Love that the coaches make me want to do more in there every day.
I would recommend orange theory to every one looking to get fitter leaner and tone. Not the best if you want to bulk up though. For pure strength I would recommend elliot bay crossfit

The class structure challenges you from the moment you walk in to the moment you leave. All of the coaches have been so awesome and helpful in making sure my form is accurate and challenging me. Prior to orange theory I did barre for 2 years and went into my first class thinking I was going to die, truly in that first class Iβve never felt more at home and had a completely different outlook on orange theory when I left. It is well worth the time and money. You not only change physically but you change emotionally here.

It was a ton of fun, and the hour literally felt like ten minutes. I was engaged throughout, and the coach came by a few times to check on me and to give me some tips about my form. I REALLY like that the coaches are knowledgeable, show you the exercise for weights, and check in with you. They don't leave you to flop around on your own! I've already recommended it to a few of my friends.

It really pushes you to do your personal best. As a naturally competitive person, I never realized that seeing the progress of others directly surrounding me is what highly motivates me to push further beyond what I would do on my own. I also love the combination of cardio and weight training. The training workouts are always different and new, and the running even feels different each time. The trainers have all been very helpful so far and the front desk ladies and gents (shout-out to Denise!) are always supportive.

I've been to lots of OTF studios and this one is my favorite as far as layouts go. There is more floor space between everything and it goes a long way to not feeling like you're running into your neighbors. I've enjoyed the instructors I've had so far at this location as well.
