Peaceful Training is a beautiful waterfront facility with three fully equipped rooms. There is one session going on in each room at a time which allows the trainers to execute full personal training programs with no interruptions. I have been working with coach Anna G for about two years now. She is highly knowledgeable, professional and nice. Anna adjusts and modifies the training around my previous injuries and limitations while keeping it challenging. I can definitely see the results, meet my goals and set new ones.

I’ve tried personal training before, but it never really clicked with me until I started with Kal. I’ve been with him for over a year now and he has truly helped me transform my life and my outlook on fitness. He is experienced, motivating, and has unique perspectives that have helped me beyond just the gym! I truly think mindfulness is something we could all use more of, and Kal’s training style embodies it fully. I’ve never been a gym person or found a consistent form of exercise I love, but working with Ana has given me enthusiasm and drive. She teaches a great balance of pushing myself to fully realize the strength I’m capable of, while also being mindful of my body and its limits and leading with kindness. She is incredibly clear and effective in her practical guidance. I feel stronger, more confident, and empowered training with Ana.

Love Coach Kal, Anna and the entire team at Peaceful Training! Outside of these beautiful setting that the gym overlooks, and the personable 1-1 workouts, the trainers take a great interest in their clients and tailor a workout specific to your needs while also incorporating mindfulness and overall health to support your overall well being. I can't think of a better option for personal training!

Working with Ana for the past year has been invaluable in creating a positive relationship with my body. I’ve been working with Coach Ana since Nov 2020. In that time, I’ve drastically improved my strength and flexibility, but most importantly, my mood. This is where Ana really shines as a trainer. As much as I’ve learned about posture and form, Ana has reminded me of the special catharsis that comes with lifting heavy things during emotional distress (i.e., all of right now). I’ve learned to listen to my body, allowing it to make requests without judgment. I’ve also learned that exercise, even in a noisy or crowded gym, can be a moment for self-reflection.
And if that doesn’t embody the words Peaceful Training, I’m not sure what does. Thank you, Coach Kal and Coach Ana!

Coach Kal is amazing! He tailors the workouts to your personal goals and encourages you to achieve. I love being trained by a professional athlete, and especially one who incorporates mindfulness and healthy living into the plan. Can't recommend him highly enough, and while the location is awesome, on the water, he also does zoom sessions and can work with whatever equipment you may or may not have. He's great!

Peaceful Training is the place to be. I trained with Coach Kal in a 1:1 after I took a 6 month break hiatus from running and he helped me train properly for a half marathon again. Now I participate in his group speed training sessions. Not only have I gotten faster and lost weight, he helped me be more aware of my running like pacing, mindfulness, and effort levels. He teaches not only the exercise but the reasons why it is helpful to your goal. He makes sure that you are training smart and safe too. Highly recommended him for personal training and as a running coach.

I had trained before and gotten in good shape. The problem was sustainability. Through Kal we have targeted my health, my body, and my mind. Can't recommend Peaceful Training enough! I've been running with the Peaceful Training led Ravenna Brew Sunday runs since the start of 2018. The Sunday run is open to all abilities and levels of fitness and are very family friendly (it's not unusual to see people running with strollers). These runs have helped provide structure to my workouts, keep me motivated, and made me feel apart of a community of diverse and supportive people.
Coach Kal really goes above and beyond for these runs. Each week he creates 4 different length runs on Strava, which he emails out to everyone to look over ahead of time. The runs are carefully planned and allow runners to consider their options beforehand and learn the route. Kal is super knowledgeable, having run for Georgetown and then as a professional Nike athlete. He's approachable and always makes sure to check in with each runner before and after the run. In addition to his running expertise, there's an aspect of Mindfulness that he brings to the runs. For me, this helps to remind me to listen to my body, stay safe, and stay in the moment.
In addition to the Sunday runs, I recently met with Kal for a personal training session, which I found to be incredibly helpful. He helped me create a training routine that would build on my current abilities and one that I'm able to do mostly from my home.
Whether you're looking for help in training for a marathon or just want to stay fit, Peaceful Training is an amazing resource. Definitely worth checking out.

Kal is great! He actually makes fitness fun! He is always positive, he is motivating and he helps make a workout more than just one more thing to do on the to do list. Kal uses a holistic approach where each custom tailored work out ends with a meditation or goal for the upcoming week. I feel stronger, fitter, and and have a better mindset now about fitness overall!

I started working out with Kal of Peaceful Training last winter, with the poorly defined goal of "I just feel like I should be more fit." He helped me decide where I'd get the most benefit out of fitness for my lifestyle, and 7 months later I am better able to keep up with my kids, slimmed my waste by 3 inches, and have a much greater personal sense of inner calmness. Best of all, Kal wrote workouts for me that are sustainable. I've worked with personal trainers (long ago) who wanted me to do everything their way and said I wouldn't succeed. Rather than putting the horse blinders on like those trainers, Kal took them off and showed me how much I could do on my own- and the success has been fantastic!
