If you’re serious about training and want elite equipment, attentive coaching, and a truly supportive community, this is the place.
The equipment setup is unmatched — they have everything for CrossFit, Hyrox, and strength & conditioning: velocity trackers, SkiErgs, GHDs, climbing ropes, multiple women’s and powerlifting bars, weighted vests, sprint space, perfectly set gymnastics rings, and tons of mobility/rehab tools — all in multiples, so you’re never waiting. The floor plan is huge and thoughtfully organized.
Programming is smart and scalable, from beginner-friendly to competition-level, with plenty of open gym time if you follow your own track or want extra skill work.
Coaching is phenomenal. Classes feel almost like semi-personal training, with real movement corrections and guidance that actually helps you progress. They actively support members pursuing certifications like the CrossFit L1, which says a lot about their investment in your growth.
Owners Ravi and Jackie are incredibly kind, welcoming, and genuinely care about their members. They’re always improving the space and cheering people on.
The community is warm and engaged, with hikes, holiday events, and dinners that make it easy to make friends. Members even bring in their quirky pets!

Joined Persistence Athletics over a month and a half ago and I've been loving the classes here. The group classes are really well done - organized to build strength and skills with a nice, fun touch of conditioning at the end. I've appreciated how much personal attention everyone in the class receives and how the workouts are scaled appropriately across skill levels.
Coaches Ravi and Jacque are great and they've created something quite wonderful with the community. Everyone is super friendly and helpful and the energy in the gym is great. They pay great attention to detail and make sure you're training at the optimal level. The best part is that the 1.5 hours spent there, while it is hard work is also a lot of fun.

I tried multiple gyms in the area this is the one that I keep going back on my own without someone pushing me to go to the gym. The community is amazing and the members correct my posture when I'm doing the exercise wrong. The exercises are balanced and my strength is improving consistently. Hands down, this is the best gym in the SLU area. Before joining Persistence Athletics, I had tried Orange Theory and Industrious near me, but I just couldn’t stick with them. As a complete beginner, I found it difficult to follow along and often ended up doing exercises with poor form.
On a whim, I decided to try Persistence Athletics and it turned out to be an excellent decision. What sets this gym apart is the welcoming and encouraging community. Everyone is friendly, and Coach Ravi, in particular, pays close attention to beginners like me. He helps improve form in every class, understanding that perfect technique doesn’t happen on day one. He takes the time to correct mistakes gradually, suggests appropriate weights, and adjusts the intensity so each workout feels challenging but safe pushing your limits without risking injury.
I would definitely recommend Persistence Athletics to both beginners and experienced athletes. At the very least, take a trial class to see if it matches your vibe!

I’ve been a part of this gym for a few months now, and I can confidently say I don’t regret the decision one bit. It’s a spacious, well-equipped facility and a welcoming, friendly atmosphere that instantly makes you feel like part of a community.
But what truly elevates this place is Coach Ravi.
Having spent a long time in the CrossFit world and trained under many coaches, I can say without hesitation, Coach Ravi’s energy and enthusiasm are unmatched. He brings a level of intensity and positivity that’s simply infectious. I joined Persistence Athletics at the end of January on my husband’s recommendation-he was already a member and absolutely loved it. I came in with back and hip pain caused by incorrect form during Pilates, and my physical therapist had suggested weightlifting to strengthen my body. That’s when I found this amazing community.
From day one, the coaches Jacque and Ravi-have been phenomenal. They don’t just coach, they build a supportive, encouraging environment where everyone feels welcome. Special thanks to Jacque, who has been instrumental in my fitness journey. I used to be scared of deadlifts due to back pain and had poor squat form. Jacque worked with me personally, offering modifications when needed and pushing me just enough every day to make progress without feeling overwhelmed.
Thanks to her consistent coaching, I now have zero back and hip pain, and I’m confidently deadlifting 120 lbs! My squat form has also improved drastically, and I feel stronger every week.
The gym itself is spotless, well-equipped, and filled with genuinely friendly people-it’s become the best part of my day. I’ve made amazing friends here and always look forward to showing up.

In every class, the coaches pay close attention to ensure everyone maintains proper form and avoids injury. Each week, there's a well-structured schedule that targets specific muscle groups, and the coaches provide clear guidance to help choose the right weights while always encouraging me to push a little further.
Week by week, I’ve noticed real improvements in my strength, cardio, and overall mobility. I feel stronger, more confident, and more motivated.

I joined Persistence Athletics 4 months ago after taking a 4-year break from the gym. I had tried running, regular gyms, and even other CrossFit places, but nothing ever stuck. From my very first trial class, Ravi made me feel comfortable. He assessed my fitness level and reassured me that we’d build strength and endurance gradually. I have been going to PA for about a month now and boy am I impressed?! As someone who used to be very intimidated by cross-fit, I was skeptical at best. But Ravi and Jackie are exceptional coaches. The very first class started with just evaluating my current endurance and strength so that they could tailor a plan for my specific needs (which was building strength). The coaches know exactly how far to push you without you feeling either demotivated or unchallenged. I never in my life thought I could lift the kind of weights I am already able to in just 5 weeks.
Beyond their exceptional coaching, Ravi and Jackie have created a very inclusive, supportive community. I have made some friends and now I look forward to going there every week. Due to my back issue, I hesitated to attend the gym. But my friend Erika recommended PA, praising the kind staff and fitness coaches. Consequently, I enrolled in a trial session last January and found myself highly satisfied with the overall experience.
The highlight of my experience in PA is when Ravi and Jacque modified some of my routine to make it safe for my back. I really appreciate how they check on me after each class, asking “How is your back?” or “Does anything hurt?” I truly appreciate these kinds of gestures, honestly, because I feel like they really care and looking after you.

The coaches (Ravi, Jaqueline, AJ) are super friendly, passionate about fitness, and are skilled at working with people of all skill levels, from the novice to the advanced. They focus on technique and safety, putting it ahead of quick results which I felt is so essential to avoid injury or overuse. I don't usually write reviews, but I feel I need to write one for Persistence Athletics because it transformed the way I looked at fitness and exercise.
When I started at Persistence, I had never tried CrossFit before and honestly felt intimidated by it. But Ravi made it so easy to get started. First you start with just getting your body moving with little to no weight, and you learn proper form. Then Ravi helps you ramp up by slowly adding more difficulty. The personalization is key here, because everyone is different!
Fast forward 6 months later of attending classes 3x/week, I went from not being able to do a single pull up, to being able to do 5 in a row without assistance! I started building muscle and overall my mental health was so much better. On top of that, I made a bunch of new friends.
I moved out of Seattle recently, but I learned lifelong skills at Persistence that I can take with me to wherever I go. Could not recommend this gym enough!

This is my favorite crossfit gym in Seattle! Ravi’s classes are fantastic – he’s got this great mix of being super knowledgeable but incredibly approachable and gentle in his classes. He really takes the time to get to know you and tailors workouts to suit your body type. Plus, he’s always there to offer diet and recovery tips, even outside of class. I did a CrossFit trainer certification course here. The coach from this gym in the course was really welcoming and and an inspiring coach. I also dropped in to do one of my quarterfinals workouts, the other gym members were also super welcoming and the whole gym had a great atmosphere - people, equipment, etc. If I lived in Seattle I would definitely make this my primary gym.

I love coming to Persistence every week, I didn't think I'd ever be this excited about gym. The gym is clean, well stocked and the instructors are amazing.

I rarely write reviews, but I want to write one for Persistence Athletics. PA is an excellent place for workouts and to learn how to make your lifestyle much healthier. Their personal and group training programs are AMAZING. Jacqueline and Ravi are the best trainers I have had the pleasure of training with. They tailor each workout, pay detailed attention to your progress, guide you, and help you become the healthiest version of yourself. They train people over a broad scale, from beginners (like me) to serious fitness professionals participating in extreme fitness tests around Washington. PA is a huge gym, clean and filled with great equipment. Jacqueline and Ravi are dedicated and have an intense passion for and knowledge of fitness. They genuinely want to see people take physical health seriously and build a passion for it. The nurturing community they have created is filled with vibrant, positive people who encourage and inspire each other. The nutrition program they offer is excellent (and yum). My physical fitness, endurance, overall energy, and mood improved significantly compared to where I was six months ago. My belt size has gone down by four notches after four years :D Now, I look forward to my gym sessions and my following (first) marathon. Katie is also an excellent coach in this gym who inspires people to do their best and drives them to do it. I can keep writing a lot appreciating this PA community but I'll let you fill in the rest and take the first step. I recommend this gym wholeheartedly to anyone who wishes to get into a healthier lifestyle, make friends, and have fun while pursuing fitness.

Best crossfit gym in a long time! I’d tried them all and my biggest complain was the coaches not realizing my true threshold- either giving me really simple targets or overcomplicating to the point of failure. At persistence, the coaches have the knack for realizing your true limits and working incrementally to expand them. There is also rush or pressure because the focus is on technique and safety. I especially enjoy working with Jackie with whom I’ve now lifted weights I couldn’t imagine I could! And all this while having a lot of fun! The community and environment are a plus huge as well! Really happy to have come upon this gym!

This review is long overdue as I’ve been a regular at PA for over 2 years - the longest I’ve been with a specific fitness studio. With a history of back ache, I was concerned about joining a cookie cutter CrossFit box. But PA is anything but. I’ve hit fitness milestones I did not think was possible and have never felt this great about my fitness level.
Like the other reviewers have said, the coaches (Ravi, Jacque and AJ) are absolutely amazing - they spend time getting to know you and provide individual attention to make sure everyone is using the correct form. The environment at the gym is fun, welcoming and collaborative - everyone’s individual achievement is celebrated - be it progressing from 15lb barbell to 35lb barbell (like I did initially :)) or hitting a new PR for the more experienced athletes.
I am such a huge fan of PA that at 9 months pregnant, I'm still a regular. And the main reason is because of how supportive Ravi and the team have been throughout. Every class he would check in on me and customize my workout, ensuring my movements were pregnancy-safe but also making me pregnancy-strong. So much so that sometimes few of my workouts were totally different from the class schedule - which I thought could be a hassle and disruptive to the class - this isn’t a prenatal class after all. But the coaches never made me feel bad about it. You can feel that they are truly there to support every single person's fitness journey no matter where they’re at.

I don’t usually write reviews, but I have had such an amazing experience at Persistence Athletics I felt like I needed to share my experience. I came in at the start of the summer with chronic lower back pain, and an incredible amount of stiffness in my hamstrings, lower back and hips. This was all caused by a typical office / desk job where I was spending a lot of my day sitting and staring at a screen. I decided to do something about it one day and sent Jacque an email inquiring about their program and gym!
I met with Jacque for an initial consultation where I explained my goals, what my motivations were, and let Coach Jacque do a preliminary screening of my movement and physical fitness. I originally was nervous to join a “crossfit” gym because of the reputation that crossfit has of being an injury prone sport, but those fears were soon put to rest when I realized how important the coaches at Persistence take good form and solid foundational movement. All workouts scale, so no matter where you are in your fitness journey you won't have pressure to ego-lift and risk hurting yourself by lifting with bad form. Both Ravi and Jacque truly care about their athletes and their goals and you can expect to get personalized instruction both in 1x1 sessions as well as in a class setting.
I’ve been coming to Persistence regularly for around three months now, and I’m happy to say my lower back has never felt better! It’s also an added plus that I look better, am stronger, and have more energy than ever. Jacque and Ravi won’t be able to do the workouts for you, but they do pretty much everything else. It’s as simple as showing up consistently and giving your best effort during every workout, and you will see results!

I had the opportunity to drop into Persistence last week while traveling for work. First impressions are always lasting and the first impression that was made there was one of community. The owners Ravi and Jacque met me at the door and welcomed me like an old friend. The facility is enormous and has all of the fun new “toys” that one would want to work out with. My class coach AJ coached me all three days with a kindness and expertise that one looks for in a gym setting.I travel quite a bit for work and always look to drop in new places while I am out and about. Persistence will be a community that I continue to drop into when it comes time to travel through the Seattle area. After delivering baby , I had lost my body strength and balance. I wanted to start some kind of workout but my confidence level was very low. Then , I was introduced to persistence athletics by my friend and indeed it turned out to be my best decision! I was trained by Jackie , she taught me right forms and motivated me to believe in myself . Place is very clean with huge variety of equipments. I wish I had joined sooner! Love Persistence Athletics (PA) and its people.
Some context: I have had no formal strength training before and have struggled with so many false starts either trying to do it on my own or using virtual-only resources (imho, neither works; coaches exist for a reason). Persistence athletics is close to home, so I reached out to Ravi and set up a 1-1 consultation to see if it is a good fit.
My training so far: I did a few 1-1 personal sessions with Jackie to understand form, language and overall technique. She helped rid me of any apprehensions I had about strength training or my ability to keep up. After that I've been taking 3x a week group classes (with Ravi, Jackie and AJ) and can see great improvement. One gets plenty of individual attention even in group classes - the coaches are always around to help you understand new movement, correct your technique and guide you on super basic things like what weight to choose, how to modify if you haven't built capacity to even hit the "basic" movement etc.
Other important but underrated considerations that make PA so great: 1) The plan is very flexible and it's an important factor for me. My job involves intense travel but I can temporarily pause my subscription and work with Ravi/Jackie to make sure to attend whenever I am in town. 2) I now bump into so many friendly and familiar faces every time I step out of my home, thanks to PA's community - it's such a rare experience as an immigrant in a big city far away from home.

I've been a member of Persistence Athletics for nearly 3 months now and cannot say enough good things about the community, coaches, and facilities.
Jacque and Ravi have created such a welcoming and encouraging environment that meets you wherever you may be along your fitness journey. They are dedicated to teaching you how to move safely and consistently scale workouts to what is relative to their athlete. You are never left feeling lost or tasked with something you cannot yet do. I've been working towards passing the CPAT to be a fire fighter and they have gone out of their way to help me be as prepared as possible to pass, and I did!
Their facility is spacious, clean, and stocked with high-end equipment. They're always playing fun music, have a cute mini fridge stocked with FITAID and I truly look forward to going to my class. It's 90 minutes of my day that is dedicated to bettering myself next to wonderful people in my community.

I tried cross-fit for the first time in my life at this place about a month ago, definitely recommend it to anyone who has been doing cross-fit or just wants to try cross-fit for their first time. This is the best gym I have found in Seattle. It’s a group class but they make sure to modify the exercises so that I’m not over exerting myself. The routines change every 2 weeks which keeps things interesting and also makes sure I’m working every muscle. 2. The diversity- all types of it. There isn’t any type of person that won’t fit in here. (well except if you have a bad attitude) All body types work out here and the coaches are very accommodating for beginners.
3. The coaching I get to improve my form and skills. I really love the focus and practicing on correct form that is a part of every workout.
4. I can leave my water bottle and shoes in a cubby at the gym which is a nice convenience for me.

I had started initially with personal training sessions with Jacqueline to learn more about the different exercises and gradually work on my physique. She was really kind and motivating in the process and made sure I was doing routines correctly.
I have recently joined group training sessions with Ravi and it has an entirely different vibe to it. He is really motivating and makes sure that the routine is as per the fitness level of each individual. The community here is amazing as well. Everyone keeps motivating each other and it just becomes a healthy and secure environment to train in.
Gym has good amenities as well and you can have meal plans and nutrition guidance too. Overall it has been a great experience :)

Two months ago, I randomly walked into Persistence Athletics one evening and have never missed my group class at PA ever since. The coaching staff is excellent. I recently moved to Seattle and was looking for a gym to just get out of the house more often. Our friend recommended Persistence Athletics to me. It had been more than two years since I last worked out and I am as new as a beginner. After my first appointment I was quite intimidated and nervous to be working out amongst advanced level athletes. But coach Jacqueline reached out to me and encouraged me to "Just show up". And I did.
After my initial one on one sessions, I progressed into group classes. In the group classes I had to do the same exercises as the advanced level but had variations for a beginner like me. Both the coaches made sure that I push myself in every session. They answered any questions regarding form and corrected the posture during the workout.
Both Ravi and Jacqueline are driven to create an environment that helps you reach your potential and to create a community that encourages and helps each other to do better in every session.
If you are looking for a gym to just start your fitness journey, I believe you should "Just show up" and see it yourself!!

This is a fantastic gym! First off, the owners Ravi and Jacque develop fun, varied workouts and really take the time and energy to make sure people are lifting safely and with proper form. I joined last month and already feel I've made huge improvements to my technique though I have lifted weights regularly. Secondly, the vibe of the gym is not the intense CrossFit you might expect, it is a more relaxed and supportive atmosphere. Last fall I was looking for a gym that was a little more one on one compared to a traditional gym that also offered a strength and conditioning component. My partner and I just finished the foundations classes, where we had person training sessions with Jacque twice a week. Each foundation class consisted of warm-up, learning a new skill, and a workout of the day. Jacque works at YOUR level and is an amazing coach. She patiently goes through each new skill using simple, easy to understand instructions with a strong focus on safety and technique. The workouts are scalable, meaning every skill can be adjusted to your own level. I learn something new every class and feel myself getting stronger every week.

If you’re looking for an amazing community oriented gym in Seattle, you should definitely check out Persistence Athletics. Ravi and Jacque are by far the two most amazing coaches I’ve learnt from, they lay emphasis on your form, technique and they will push you to the limits you never thought you could reach. I could never do a strict pull up and within 6 months of joining the gym, I could do 3-4 unbroken strict pull ups. My deadlift form was terrible and Jacque and Ravi both taught me the correct form and I have a 270lbs deadlift PR. Not just this, I achieved PR in most other exercises as well.
In my opinion, it’s the best gym in Seattle if you’re looking to change the way you think about fitness and make it a part of your lifestyle.

I trained here for a month with Jacqueline, who’s extremely knowledgeable and has a supremely pleasant disposition. Being new to CrossFit this was very helpful. She focused a lot on great form and technique, while helping me build up strength and endurance.
The facilities are top notch, very clean and well maintained with really good equipment.
I usually workout at equinox and have worked with more than a dozen personal trainers, I can confidently say my experience at persistence was right up there.
The community at the gym also seemed very welcoming and friendly, I didn’t get to experience as much, since had to relocate away.
Highly recommended for anyone who wishes to get into CrossFit or generally try becoming fitter/stronger etc.

I have been working out at Persistence Athletics for over 1.5 months now. Initially took ten one-on-one sessions as I was new to CrossFit, then now continuing with my regular monthly classes. Jacky and Ravi are both very professional and patient. They will work according to your pace, clear your doubts and work on form. All the workouts are scaled to your level.
During COVID, all necessary precautions are being taken. Proper social distancing is followed. You will have your own corner with all the equipment to workout.
Lastly, to give you a little motivation during your workout, they have two cute little fluffy puppies who will go around and keep you motivated.

When searching the area as someone new to Seattle, I was looking for a gym that had a personalized touch and focused on an individuals health/fitness goals. My body was not in the greatest cardio/strength/mobility shape. I am probably one of the worst cases a gym could see coming through the door and think, this person will give up after 2 weeks. I am happy to say I have been working with Ravi in the mornings 4-5 days a week since September 2020 and through the 2nd COVID shutdown with at home workouts (which they allowed for extremely low rental rates for equipment needed to perform workouts).
Persistence Athletics is by far the one gym I would recommend for anyone looking to get back into working out and with Crossfit. They have a goal of 1% better than the last time. This gym isn't for those that try and quit, but for individuals that wish to change how they view life and want to be healthy. Ravi and Jackie put 100% focus into you as a member of this gym and your fitness goals. Here you will better yourself mentally, physically and emotionally. They offer individual, group, open gym or class sessions which makes them stand out from other gyms.

I can’t say enough great things about this gym and the coaches. I chose this gym because it was close to my home but I had no clue what CrossFit even was. Jackie and Ravi trained me (still do since I’m still very new to the workouts) and they are very knowledgeable, patient and so, so good at what they do. Not only is the information there real gold, but also is the community really vibrant, welcoming and beginner friendly. The community is there to coach you, challenge you and hold you accountable. It's a place to grow and thrive both physically and emotionally. Ravi, Jacqualine, Vidya, Mateen, Shubham and Rishabh do an amazing job of posting valuable information, coaching members and holding them accountable.

I started coming to this box about a year ago when it was CrossFit Belltown. Once Jacque and Ravi took over and it became CrossFit Persistence Athletics, the entire gym environment changed for the better.
First, the gym is always CLEAN, the coaches are ALWAYS there for classes. (This was not the case before Jacque and Ravi and as a new-to-CrossFit person last year, it was hard to improve or even be safe without coaches when I'd show up for class).
The community of members that now make up the majority of the gym are all focused on health, fitness, kindness, and supporting each other. There is no elite mentality, everyone is just "on your side" for always improving. I've brought friends for drop-in classes and they also remark on how welcoming and detail-oriented the coaches are to form and being safe while encouraging a high level of performance.
During this COVID-19 pandemic, there has been even more support and attention to the community of athletes. I was able to continue working out at home and had video coaching with both Ravi and Jacque as well as virtual classes. Now that we can safely be back in the gym, the measures taken by Jacque and Ravi have been above and beyond to ensure each member is healthy/safe and maintain social distancing while we are working out- hand sanitizer, equipment sanitizer, masks, etc.
This is my go-to place for health, fitness, support, friendship, and fun. I am so grateful that I decided to walk in the door a year ago. I have accomplished fitness goals that I didn't even know I had in the last year, due to awesome and safe coaching. I have made friends for life here.

Jackie and Ravi share the passion for improving everyone’s fitness levels. It does not matter what is the level, they are happy to help everyone who comes through their door. Coming from franchise gym businesses, CrossFit old fashioned was very refreshing and they helped me improve my fitness, improve technique while working with many old injuries. I strongly recommend it.

Unique aspect of this gym is that is ALL encompassing fitness. Not only do you get to train some traditional Crossfit style WODs, you get Strength and Conditioning specific workouts that can be tailored towards your individual fitness goal. Coach Ravi, Jaquie and Christopher have real emotional investment in their clients. When you are part of Persistence, you are really are part of a community. While there is camaraderie and friendly competition among gym friends, this is not a "broh's" club. You will never be judged. Egos are left outside.
Additionally, the gym is following safe protocols during these uncertain times. The space is well taken care of and clean making it safe for all people who visit.

I joined last year as a complete beginner to CrossFit. The coaches Ravi, Jacqueline, and Christopher have done a great job with the programming. You start with foundations/basics and gradually progress to more advanced lifts/workouts in the strength and conditioning program. The coaches and community are extremely supportive and have helped me through my fitness journey. The coaches have gone out of their way to help me achieve my goals even during the pandemic. The gym has reopened after the lockdown with the proper restrictions, temperature checks, and social distancing. Cleaning supplies are also available and athletes are expected to clean their equipment after working out to maintain sanitary conditions. Highly recommend joining the gym for people of all levels of fitness.
