Gina is a fantastic instructor. I have greatly enjoyed her classes. I have issues with hypermobility (EDS) and POTS. I needed a safe way to strengthen my muscles, and not pop out my joints, and Pilates has been fantastic. Almost all the exercises are done lying down, which works great for orthostatic hypotension. I have had a lot less problems with my elbow and knee joints dislocating since I started Pilates! I never feel pressured by Gina to go past my limits, and she is always willing to give modifications, if needed. She’s also just a very sweet and enjoyable person to be around. I highly recommend Pilates Olympia.

I just started my pilates journey with Pilates Olympia and I cannot recommend Gina highly enough! She takes the time to make sure every student truly understands each movement, and she’s wonderful at adapting exercises to all skill levels so everyone feels supported. Pilates has been a remarkable addition to my fitness routine - and I’ve never felt better. Seriously! I do a lot of strength training plus walking and yoga. I wasn’t sure that I needed a new modality. But I registered for Pilates anyway just thinking it would be fun to try something new. My body has never felt better. Evidently there was a spot in my life for Pilates - my joints and bones feel loose and comfortable and my mobility has improved significantly. My chronic lower back pain has all but disappeared. I had been recommended for ages to try pilates, but I kept putting it off because I thought it would be too hard or not the right fit for me. I finally decided to give it a try at Pilates Olympia, and I’m so so glad I did!

I suffer from frequent migraines, and I never expected an after-work Pilates class to help so much with both managing them and just general stress. It’s become such a great way to recenter after a rough day and I’ve gone to class with back aches or cranky hips and always leave feeling better. With the reformer it feels more approachable and low impact than I had expected, so I’ve had the chance to gently stretch, move, and release tension. The difference in how my body feels pre and post class is a tad insane.

What I love most is that every class can be exactly what I need that week. It can be calm and restorative when I need to unwind or zone out from life for a minute , or more challenging when I want to feel my muscles working and get that satisfying post-workout soreness. Gina makes it easy to adjust for whatever vibe you want for that day, and the atmosphere is always welcoming and peaceful. My weekly class at Pilates Olympia has honestly become one of my favorite parts of the week. I can’t believe I waited this long to start!

Earlier this year I injured my back and after completing physical therapy, my doctor suggested Pilates to continue with my recovery. After three months of Gina’s classes, I feel stronger than I did before my injury and I haven’t had any pain in several weeks. I’ve also seen improvements in my frozen shoulder that I’ve been struggling with for a couple years. Gina is friendly, patient and attentive and provides modifications to the exercises when I need them. I have thoroughly enjoyed working out with Pilates Olympia. I was totally new to using the reformer but I am in love! My core wasn't strong enough to even do Pilates before, it always hurt and was way too hard. Gina and the reformer make it feel effortless, like a beautiful stretch and movement I didn't know I had. Then we are done and I almost fall over because I worked so many muscles I didn't even know I had. Gina is a fabulous Pilates instructor. Taking Pilates with her has been great for me over the last year. It is something I look forward to every week and always feel better after. On days when I don't have a lot of energy, I always leave feeling more energetic than I when arrived. It has also helped with my plantar fasciitis and flexibility a lot. My body always feels better on weeks when I go to Pilates.

As an instructor, Gina has great energy and does a really good job checking in with how people are feeling and any modifications they might need. I was dealing with a shoulder issue for a while and was able to adapt most activities so that I could still access them.

I didn't know when I started Pilates with Gina, how good I would feel after each session. If I miss a class, I can definitely feel the difference.
