Now the mats are torn up and an eye sore. Planet fitness as a whole needs to clean more thoroughly! One rude staff member also rubbed me the wrong way in Bellevue.

I would love more space for stretching and mobility training.

On the bright side, I appreciate having a gym to go to with the black card benefits for self care.

Ok I’m a little upset because it feels like the manager is a little unethical. I wanted to freeze my membership, and instead of letting me know that I can freeze for two months consecutively online, he told me I have to call every month to refreeze, which defeats the concept of freezing. Given how tedious this was to call every month I finally asked to cancel and he was like the only way to cancel is by coming down to location, or by mailing in a request to cancel. Which is not true. Turns out I can cancel online no problem, but he was making harder on purpose which I think is super unethical. It feels like they just wanted to keep taking my money even though I wasn’t there and I wasn’t using the gym. I don’t recommend this location due to the inconvenience they add to their members

The gym itself is fine. But the customer service is lackluster to say the least. Some employees are great, but others seem to go out of their way to be unhelpful or combative.
There was a billing issue with double charging. When I asked an employee, they told me to call the “Planet Fitness financial phone line,” and when I did that they told me I needed to talk to the specific gym. I went back to the gym and they refused to help insisting I needed to call the number. It’s unfortunate that Planet Fitness doesn’t have a better attitude towards customer service and making sure customers are satisfied. I guess them getting $25 now is more important than them losing out on hundreds of dollars in future revenue.

I called months ago to cancel my membership, and the staff told me to “just email us and we’ll take care of it.” I did exactly what they asked. Today, I called again because they were still charging me, and suddenly they told me that I must cancel in person only.

That makes absolutely no sense, especially for someone who has already moved away from Nebraska. Why tell me to email if that wasn’t the real process?

On top of that, the person who answered the phone today was extremely rude and had no interest in helping or even explaining the situation properly. This place clearly has poor communication and does not respect customers’ time or money.

Very disappointed and would not recommend this location.

By the way, I requested to cancel my membership IN PERSON at the same location last year, and I faced the exact same issue. the membership was never canceled and I was charged for many months. Please understand that this is a repeated mistake, and it should not be happening again. I really hope this can be resolved properly this time.

IMPORTANT EDIT!! MAN IN WOMENS LOCKER ROOM!!: im changing to 1 star because today (11/21/25 @5:35 pm) i got out of the womens locker room shower and walked to my locker, in my underwear, and sitting in front of my locker was a MAN. i understand this is a "no judgement zone" and i would hate to jump to conclusions, but there was nothing about him that would lead me to think he wasn't male presenting. im talking full grown beard, men's workout clothes and shoes, all that. i felt disgusted and shocked, especially since i was in my underwear straight out of the shower... he got up and left the room after putting on his shoes, and i quickly ran to alert the front desk. i gave him a description of the guy and he called the manager to review the footage. i didn't see the man working out in the gym either, and after letting the team member know, i finished up and left. not sure what came of it, i feel incredibly disgusted and disturbed.

at best, he didn't notice the multiple signs saying "women's locker room" or any other woman in the locker room. at worst, well. you know. unbelievably upset at this. this used to be my go to location, but im not sure if ill even continue my planet fitness membership after this incident.

my contact information was not requested either by the team member, but he was very nice and quickly alerted management.

original review: good planet fitness. i travel often and utilize many different planet fitnesses and the bellevue crossroads one is one of the best i've gone to. simply because the shower water gets hot super quickly, you wouldn't BELIEVE how long it takes at some other locations nearby.

I am disappointed on the lack of cleanliness in the women’s bathroom. I have addressed it with management, but nothing has been done. I saw the same garbage two days in a row on the floor.. Please correct this issue or I will cancel my membership a female locker room like any locker room needs to be Clean.

I’m a Black Card member and usually enjoy this gym, but I had a very unpleasant experience with one of the front desk staff, Eric, on Monday night, October 13.
I had reserved the Relax Space for 10:20 PM. When I arrived a few minutes early, Eric said someone was still using it and told me I could come back at 10:40 without rebooking. I followed his instructions, but when I returned at 10:33, he said someone else had just gone in and I would have to wait another 15 minutes. He didn’t bother to tell me the gym was closing soon, even though he saw me waiting right there.
Later, another staff member, Sherry, was very kind and let me use the room even for a shorter time before closing — I really appreciated her help.
However, Eric’s attitude was consistently rude and dismissive. He never responds when I greet or thank him, and always looks annoyed. It made me feel very unwelcome and disrespected.
I hope management can train staff to treat every member with basic courtesy and respect.

Literally impossible to speak with a manager, manager is always not there so you cannot cancel your membership. Update in July 2025: I have to reduce the rating to 2** because they don’t offer training classes anymore. They offered it to attract people in the beginning then stopped. They cut corners to the point of removing the soup in the shower. Very disappointed. So 2** one for the always friendly front desk, one for the lounge.

I haven’t really written a review for a place unless it was truly a terrible experience, with that being said i left my last gym due to the price each month and not being able to afford it as a college student, i switched to planet fitness and since the FIRST DAY i walked in i was immediately greeted with kindness, and nothing has changed since. every worker works like they WANT to be there, and does their job with purpose and care, i seriously doubt i’ll ever switch gyms and i wish the staff was the same at every location.

I’ve been going to gyms for years, but I’ve never experienced the level of professionalism and positive energy that Kai brings to Planet Fitness. He’s the reason I left LA Fitness and never looked back—and I’m not the only one. Several of my friends followed suit after seeing how well this location is run under his influence.

Kai is always on top of things. Whether it's addressing a maintenance issue or managing the gym during peak hours, he handles everything with ease and a great attitude. Even when the gym is packed, he stays focused, friendly, and efficient. It’s rare to see someone with that kind of consistent work ethic and energy.

this gym has always had helpful employees who do their best, however, the gym suffers due to the crowding and entitlement of its gymgoers. I am sick of not being able to walk through the aisles due to the insane amount of people lifting weights in them, using the machines as benches to put down their weights, etc.

if an employee asks them to move and keep aisles clear, they move for 5 minutes and go right back. I have been unable to use machines because they are just entirely blocked.

I used to like this gym because it wasn’t crowded, and I really enjoyed the spa and hydro beds. However, my recent visit was a completely different experience. It was extremely packed, and the air quality was awful—it smelled like sweat throughout the entire gym. It felt like either the ventilation system wasn’t working properly or people weren’t showering before working out. The smell was so strong that I could barely breathe the whole time. Unfortunately I’m gonna have to cancel my membership.

This is not my usual PF but I am in town visiting for work and stopped by to work out recently. Was shocked to see male manager taking sneaky zoomed in pictures of females working out! A female behind the counter who also seemed to be a manager or supervisor could clearly see what he was doing but didn't stop him. Clearly this is not new behavior and is tolerated at this location. Beware ladies before working out here! Wouldn't be surprised if these pics are ending up on the internet. Disgusting! When I came online to review I noticed some others have also mentioned the horny managers with bad attitudes, so it seems like this has been mentioned before but never fixed. Very glad this isn't my home gym. I tried to find a non-generic email to tell the actual site owner about what I saw but unsurprisingly all I could get was the vague "social" email they post on these reviews to pretend like they care. Signing up for PF Black was a piece of cake but downgrading was almost impossible due to NON-STANDARD PROCEDURES. I came to the conclusion that I needed to cancel my membership.

I've actively been trying to downgrade my membership for 2 months, and I was trickle-fed reasons why they will not in 3 separate gym visits. Note that if you cancel and return as a standard member, you will have to pay another startup and annual fee.

Extremely restrictive policy to downgrade:
1) you can only downgrade during the 1st - 10th of the month ... which is fine
2) you must downgrade in person or paper mail ... and again fine
3) only the manager, who works sporadic and limited hours, can downgrade (managers do not work weekends and their hours are 5am to 2pm or 7pm on weekdays, but you can't find out which without calling ahead of time). This gives members who work a 9-5 job only a few hours out of the month the possibility to downgrade their plan. This is NON-STANDARD and PREDATORY business practice.

There is no wait list for you to put your name down either.

The frustration going through this process is unfair to both the customers and PF staff who have to deal with upset customers when the manager isn't around. They made what could've been a simple process an overwhelmingly FRUSTRATING one. If you find this review helpful, please like/react to share awareness, so the local PF addresses this !!!!!

The staff at most Planet Fitness locations are just standing around talking to each other or staring into space not present. NOT AT THIS LOCATION. They are working, attentive, friendly, and engaged. When it first opened I had a run-in with the assistant manager who was a very toxic and controlling presence. After communicating the issue to the manager Amanda, she let me know that I was not the only one to complain about him. Due to the feedback, she was able to make swift changes and improve the situation.

There’s no doubt in my mind that the attentiveness of the staff and the cleanliness of this location is due to Amanda’s leadership. I’m grateful for her.

I had classic membership with it in another state. After I told the manager that I want transfer the membership, he was originally happy to help me and start working on it. I want to be honest so I told him up front the reason for transferring is because I relocated and want to want to cancel the membership, then suddenly he told me that I couldn't do it for you because I have to contact your original place to cancel it. I told him I already called them and they are asking me mail a written paper with my info on it which I didn't feel like doing at all on 2024. After that the manager just refuse to even look at me and talk about it anymore, which is extremely rude. So if you're member with them, great you're still valuable to them so they treat you politely, but if you want to cancel it, I'm sorry you're no longer valuable to them and can/will be treated rudely.

The only issue is why do planet fitness keep hogging cardio equipments when you can have an extra cable machine. There are plenty of space to add additional cable machine.

Edit: Despite the opening struggles the gym is nice, it's really clean. The staff are awesome. Very friendly. There's also one guy who will literally go around and clean all the equipment multiple times a day. I've never seen anyone as diligent with cleaning as this guy, in any establishment, ever. You go guy.

Dispensers are out of paper towels a lot though.

This gym shouldn't have opened yet. No air-con? Gym has been closed twice now after original opening and will be closed until next week. Went in the first time for it to be sweltering hot. Fans weren't even on. Had to ask, which although staff was nice about it... If there isn't air conditioning, it's probably a good idea to have the fans on.

Awful communication. Received emails that it would be closed on Friday and Monday. Showed up today, Tuesday, to find the sign out front edited (drawn on) to say it will be closed until Friday. No email.

LOCKER BROKEN INTO - I recently joined and 7 days into my membership my locker was broken into and wallet stolen. It was an individual who was not a member and snuck by the desk to rob me. The management cited policy of no valuables in the locker room but they could easily take car keys as well. They have no way to keep non members out. Most gyms I've ever belonged to have access to the gym restricted. They told me it's happened 4 times in the past 6 months. This place is not safe.

I like the hall very much, but everything spoils the non-working souls in the men's locker room. I can't imagine how to go to school or work after class. When it's fixed, I'll correct the feedback.

The staff is extremely rude. Around the closing time, they approach the members and point to the door saying “Get Out!”. I also heard a staff member yelling from a distance ‘Get out!’ It is not how customers should be treated.
I did not give 1-star because the gym is still affordable. However, the machines are also limited.
The gym likes to call itself ‘judgement free zone’, with even the wifi named a judgement free zone. However, misdemeanour from staff does not display such values.
