This was my first visit to Planet Fitness. I recently moved back to the area from Idaho and don’t know a lot of people in the area. I was happily greeted by both Narcisia and Korina. Instantly I felt extremely welcome and it felt like home, I will be getting a membership tomorrow morning. Thanks Ladies you guys rock.

I’ve been a Planet Fitness member for over a year, and even after canceling my membership, I’m still being charged. I came to this exact location twice, and both times the staff told me my account was already canceled. Clearly, it wasn’t.
Today was the worst experience yet. When I asked for help, the employee raised her voice at me and acted like I was being disrespectful. If the cameras are checked, you’ll see exactly how unprofessional her behavior was and the tone she used. Instead of helping, she told me to “call my bank,” even though the charges are coming directly from Planet Fitness.
When I asked to speak to the manager, she made up a story saying I was the one being rude. Absolutely unacceptable.

I'm now going to the gym for the 1st time in my life. Thanks to my son for inspiring me and thanks to the staff at BL PF for being so easy to work with. Ben, the trainer, and I have met 3x a week for nearly 3 months. The accountability factor works for me and Ben is a good mentor and accountability partner. He is also a good conversationalist. I can actually see a 6 pack forming under my menopausal belly. I started my weight training journey after displacing my knee in Oct 2024. I needed to strengthen the knee joint and connecting tissues so it doesn't keep slipping out of place. I am lifting weights heavier than I thought I would and feeling strong and happy. The facility is kept in good working order. Plenty of machines to try and friendly people.

I’ve been attending this gym since December ‘24. I’ve joined gyms around the world and I’ve never felt more comfortable than at this specific location. I’m a woman in my 30s and I’ve yet to be harassed, feel uncomfortable, or get grossed out here (I’m a pretty big germaphobe). I workout in the mornings and the morning crew is top tier. Super grateful this location has adjusted their hours to the current schedule. Thank you!

Though I really do enjoy this gym I haven’t been able to use it regularly (or at all) for the last few years because they changed their hours right after I signed up. I just noticed that they are open most days for 24 hours so I’ll be heading back and taking advantage of my membership again. I changed my 3 star review to 5 stars because when they’re open they’re a great gym with top notch employees. I do feel a little ripped off for the last three years that I court barely use the gym but, still giving this place 5 stars.

Today the GM pulled me aside and told me I have too much body odor. I'm kinda shocked because people sweat at the gym so I don't know what to do. I feel very ashamed and embarrassed. I guess its not actually a judgement free zone at all.
I'm shocked and upset and don't feel comfortable going back. I shower and put on deodorant every day, I know I sweat alot, but I guess that isn't allowed. What a way to make a person feel like trash.

Had to go for 2 days while visiting. Currently in 2025 they don't offer day passes. But they gentleman, Mark, was extremely helpful over the phone and in person. We were able to get our work out done and benefit from the other amenities like red light therapy and water bed massage. I wish they offered an easier day or 7 day pass for travelers. Other than that the experience was still 5 star and the price was negligible for the value we receive in return. Thank you Mark!

We just joined and like it so far. It seems to have everything you need to get a good workout in. Even my 13 yr old enjoyed it and wants to go back to help get in better shape for upcoming sports seasons. The staff is really nice and friendly. The other members are nice and helpful as well; we needed some assistance on a machine and another member stepped right in to give us advice. So refreshing to be at a place where people say hi and want to help.

Bonney Lake Planet Fitness is conveniently located in a strip mall with plenty of parking. The staff is courteous, gym and locker room is clean. Plenty of cardio equipment that you don’t have to wait to get on a machine. I recommend this gym for these reasons and the great price.

I really enjoy how clean and well-maintained the gym is. The staff is always welcoming and helpful, and I never feel judged everyone just focuses on their own workouts. Never knew how much I needed you! I've owned so many pieces of equipment, I start out and then lose interest. When you know you need to exercise regularly - planet fitness makes it easy for you. All different ages, sizes, no reason to avoid the gym! Staff cares and it shows. Good people. If I was to complain about anything it would be about members who sit on machines holding them up while checking their phones. Maybe a bench or two when you want to be on your phone. Terrible experience in this gym. The staff first gave false information about the rules of the gym, then filled out my information incorrectly by changing my year of birth. It took me 25 minutes to get into the gym for the first time. The staff discriminated against me, humiliated me in front of other visitors and talked to me as if I was a third-class person. I definitely intend to meet with the manager, because I have not experienced such stress for a long time.

[7 months here] Overall, I thought I had regular planet fitness experience but can't beat the prices until today. They shut down machines at 1:30 to do a photo shoot with another business to close numerous machines (including the only leg press). In order to light them on fire while they take photos while people who pay are trying to work out, We were on the leg press when they said we are lighting things on fire, so when yall are done, we will be taking the machine. They then proceed to set up things around the 2 of us while my gym bro is mid set and one lady proceeds to stand on the back of the leg press as he is going for a new pr and says "don't mind me" as she stands over him. He could have easily gotten hurt. The professionalism here is terrible, and ur business marketing should be done when it's not busy or before / after business hours.

And the manager was part of all this smiling and laughing.

Today I almost fell in the locker room, which was covered with slippery soapy water courtesy of the cleaning staff. So since Planet Pit doesn’t care about the safety of the members, I’m going to quit using the locker room. What a pathetic organization.

I love the post from Lake Tapps and the hilarious response. I’ve been posting about the filthy showers for several years and nothing changed. In fact the showers have gotten worse. Why are neighboring Planet Pitness much cleaner?

This week’s highlight at the PIT:

No paper towels. So none of the equipment is getting wiped down. Yikes!

Really bad management. The same bad management that has their incompetent cleaning crew work while the club is busy instead of during the time it’s closed.

Another Monday morning of a very wet, soapy and slippery mess in the men’s locker room. The freshly cleaned shower had garbage in the corner and used Q tips around the drain. What a pit….PLANET PIT

New this week: after weeks of filthy men’s locker room, the janitor decides to mop the locker room floor - at 6 AM when we’re trying to shower, get dressed and go to work. THEY CAN’T DO THIS WHEN THE GYM IS CLOSED????

The bad management at this club is truly incredible.

For this weekend the club is featuring a broken drinking fountain and disgusting locker rooms, toilets and showers. Who needs water and daily janitorial service??

Why is the Bonney Lake club such a pit and dirty whereas the Puyallup, Milton and Auburn clubs are spotless and very clean???

No janitorial services over every weekend - so the gross toilet on Saturday stays that way until mid-morning on Monday: YUK!

So don’t worry about having to wipe the equipment down when you’re finished.

What a nice place. Very clean. Friendly staff. All the things that Bonney Lake Pitness isn’t.

This gym is the worse plant fitness in the area. Dirty locker room, filthy showers (one of the showers has been out of service for weeks). Drinking fountains were broken. Broken equipment takes several months to be repaired. And they play positively the WORSE music!

Do yourself a favor and go to the Milton, Auburn or Puyallup PF for a great gym experience!!

Nice job of hiding negative reviews- I’d expect nothing less.

Four years on in going to the fitness center and my rating has dropped from 5 stars to 3, and that’s being generous. Last year I gave this Planet Fitness a rave review for being clean and well maintained. In the last couple of months, however, the mens’ dressing room has had the number of working water faucets reduced, usable urinals reduced to one and, inexplicably, no longer has paper towels to dry your hands or — more importantly — wipe the sink/counter area after use to maintain cleanliness and courtesy for the next user. So now people just walk away, leaving one of the most important parts about gym cleanliness unaddressed and pretty disgusting.

Additionally, there used to be a cleaning service that, each day, wiped down the machines and cleaned the workout area. They are now gone.

You used to see the employees running a floor cleaner during the slower hours of the day — haven’t seen this happen for a long while either.

The seats and arm-supports for the machines are becoming worn and threadbare when they were attended to and replaced quickly in the past.

The sum of these things are, in my experience, indicative of an organization that has perhaps at a corporate level become too concerned with saving/making a buck than providing customer satisfaction. It’s always telltale of ultimate business failure. Too bad for a fitness center that once carried the highest marks from someone who knows what it takes. I once highly recommended this Planet Fitness. Now I suggest giving other places fair consideration. 🤷‍♂️

BUT the showers are absolute filth. I don't think that they have ever been properly cleaned, if at all.
...but first;
- I love the people at the front desk. They are always delightful and pleasant. And there are always several people there.
- The facility is large with many great options for exercise.
- The low cost model is great for those of us that don't want to spend much money.
- I love the large facility with plenty of room so you don't feel crushed by other people.
- I love the fact that Planet Fitness is a national chain. I can work out at a variety of facilities.
Now, to the showers. I try not to look, but I really need to shower after working out, and put on fresh dry cloths. I left LA Fitness because their showers are also disgusting. I mean, really, people... it would only take a minute to clean each shower. If it were my business, I would do it myself. There is gum, hair, black mold and general filth all over the shower. This is not just a one time thing. The showers are always dirty. And generally, with the same filth with more added over time.
PLEASE, please, please, clean the showers (and the locker room while your at it). BTW, there are also several broken lockers.
Also, there is seriously low water pressure. It's barely a dribble. The best you can do is get a little wet and towel off. Don't even consider using soap, as you will never get is rinsed off.

This review is about the showers, I'm a long time member and only come in once in a while because of the schedule change in the morning, it's too late for me to make it to work on time but I digress. The showers conditions are insanitary, they look like they all haven't been cleaned for a while, there are what looks like buggers on the stall walls and this morning they ran out of paper towels so they put toilet paper to wipe down equipment. It's sad,.I'll have to bring a. Old rag to wipe down equipment because toilet paper falls apart.

Need to do something about all the unattended teenagers playing around. They don't use the equipment correctly, if at all. They're rude. They're loud. They're in the way. Please don't tell me to talk to staff - that's YOUR job. I tell them every time and no one cares. I thought I had a gym membership, not a daycare membership.
