Love coming here! First gym I've ever joined, i was clueless at first, just doing a treadmill and basic yoga and going home. But I signed up for design your own program with Kai, and its been awesome! Kai is so patient and kind and really cares about people doing the exercises the proper way. I have a full routine I do 4xs a week lifting and can check back in in a month or 2. It took all the intimidation of what do I do in here away! Just be patient with the trainer, he's a one man show attempting to do it all, and really they could use 2 or 3 people. All this for 15 bucks a month! Front desk evening young lady is great, always smiling and friendly too.

I usually don’t have any issues at planet fitness, I’ve gone to several in different states and never had much of an issue. I have always worn crocs to workout (I now understand this is the dress policy, that’s fine), and never once been told by anyone that they were in appropriate gym attire. I’ve had the same gym crocs for three years for this reason, it was never told to me you cannot wear crocs in the gym.

However, today, I was finishing the end of my workout and going to do decline crutches, and a planet fitness staff member followed me. He aggressively told me I need to wear shoes in the gym, so I was confused cause I was and said excuse me? He very sternly redirected me to my crocs. I did not fight or argue, I asked okay, do I need to leave right now? And through his teeth and very sternly just said “you MUST wear shoes”. I was honestly scared and off put by his demeanor, I walked away without a word.

I didn’t have a pair of shoes really, but I went and bought some and went back to the gym to finish my crunches. However, I will be looking for a new gym. I can change my shoes and gym location, but I can’t change the bad attitudes of staff on shift.

Severely disappointed in the stature of the staff in this location, kindness goes a long way.

I’m so disheartened. i used to go here all the time, but after getting pregnant & postpartum i’ve not gone. i noticed in September i was charged twice- i called the center to ask why and never received a response. i had assumed it was the once annual charge and left it. this month, $57 was charged, with smith $27 due by the 17th. i again called to try to simply ask about the charge. the person on the other line hung up after i asked to review my account with someone. i called back three times after that, and no one picked the phone up. i left a voice message, and no call back. It’s not with the money. That’s so so so much now a days for money and i could’ve put to christmas for my 5 month old, and i can’t even request it back after canceling.

Very accommodating and they are very consistently greeting their clients as they walk in. In our situation, as we checked-in, the team member noticed my wife and I did not have a photo. He said, "Hold Up! We need to get your photos updated!" We agreed and explained we were told we had to do it in the location we signed-up. He laughed and explained that was a team member that probably didn't know how to do it! He was completely approachable and professional! I enjoy working out here. They're are more machines and able to do all the lifts I want to do right now, no waiting on a bench or machine.

After a long hiatus, I'm back at it again. They have a could be machines. It's not too busy around 1430/1500, but around 1530 it gets a bit busy.

I have been going to the Bremerton Planet Fitness for about a year now. I was never a 'gym' person...even in my younger days. This place is so great. The staff here are always so friendly and helpful. Always a greeting when I come in as well as a "have a good day" when I leave.
Definitely a non judgemental place which is so nice.
Always clean. Paper towels and cleaning spray always full.
This PF is just an all around pleasure to go to.

I have been a black card member for planet fitness for some time and have always had such positive experiences with the staff.

This location did not share the same positive experiences. The staff( i believe it is the manager - older man), was extremely rude from the start. He made us feel unwelcome and uncomfortable from the beginning and made what should be a positive and straightforward experience, very difficult and unwelcoming.

I don't know what possesses an employee to be so rude to complete strangers(and paying clients), especially if you are in a management position. Rolling your eyes, calling out, and accosting your guests should be against company policy.

Reading other comments below, it is obvious that there is issues with discrimination and rude behavior from management....will the owners please get involved and remove the staff that is essentially tainting your business and the planet fitness name???

Not a big fan of this location, despite the positive reviews. I only use the facility for the showers and massage chairs.
1) no changing stations at the showers. So you'll have to get naked in front of all the guys in the locker room before heading to the shower.
2) nowhere to hang your towel while showering.
3) nowhere to put your soap and shampoo while bathing except on the nasty shower floor.
It's as if they didn't think that through at all.
4) only one working urinal.
5) they use the old, coin operated massage chairs and those suck really bad.

I've been called slurs and have not had a single good interaction with any of them, especially these two men. I love going here the one in Port Orchard is new.its a judge free zone and everyone is friendly and it's always clean. They have personal trainers that you can sign up with and they have for the Black card you get all the different tanning for free and you get all of the massaging for free the hydro chair for free which is cool and then you got it open 24 hours there is after you pay start paying 2 months in you get an annual service fee of 52 or 53.00 that does not include your membership I picked the black card membership so it's like 27.65 a month and then one time fee of that annual fee but just so everybody else knows I was told different so I had to mess up but now you all know if you pay for the black card membership it will be 27.65 monthly and then the annual fee comes out 2 months after you start paying for the membership but it comes out on the 1st and they make you sign up with a bank account so they can automatically come out and not be interrupted on your service but when I had my mess up they understood and they have a thing where if it's not paid you can go in and pause your account until you can get back to where you need to go pay and fix it and stuff they're really understanding and they helped work through my issues and got me back on track and back to the gym. They also have showers and changing stalls and lots of lockers but you do have to bring your own lock if you don't trust your stuff in the locker by itself they have a lot of machines they also have classes that you can sign up for and it's a very inviting environment.

They carrythe personalities of employees at a jack in a box. The only employees that have the energy that sits well in the fitness industry is the girl with tattoos and the glasses a the islander gentleman with glasses. With her dry personality and clearly her lack of understanding the importance of once fitness journey given her and (she lacks empathy and understanding of fitness judging from her physical appearance an personality ) denied my access. This Planet Fitness is lagging behind others. They don’t have the new machines that have been added to others. The staff don’t look happy to be working there. They also don’t have any ability to schedule services such as massage chairs, cryogenic chair, etc like other Planet Fitnesses do. So if they are in use, you have to wait “in line” in the lobby. You can’t say, use a stair stepper in direct line of sight of the front counter, to wait. You have to stand or sit in the lobby and wait. When services are available, the gym is decent. I don’t think I will continue my membership after March, as there are better gyms available, with better equipment for the same or a better price.

This was my first experience at planet fitness and I cannot believe how simple it was!
I paid online and showed up at the desk were a bright young man was ready to help me sign in. He gave me the memo and handbook efficiently and even emailed it to me as I am hard of hearing.
The amenities offered are clean and there is absolutely NO! Judgment

Its nice that it is 24/7 seven days a week. Its spacious with plenty of equipment. The assisted pull up machine and dip machine is in the oddest spot. Right up from behind the stairmasters. Pretty random place to put it.

The locker rooms/bathroom are small small small. There is one big shower and honestly it’s the most disgusting shower I have seen. Even county jail showers are cleaner than this. There was a layer of grime on the wall and floor that was down right egregious. There are no change over stalls like at other planet fitnesses. So either you go change in the grime or out in the open. While i was changing over the staff decided to vacuum the locker room which I thought was odd at 1am. But didnt clean none of the showers smh. Honestly I wont ever come back to this location.

If you cant get the people that work there to actually clean up you need to outsource it like Federal way 320th st does. They have an outside cleaning crew that does a damn good job there like four times a week. There has to be some type of growth in those showers. Looks like someone washed off mud in them. As a business owner you should step it up because you’re making the planet fitnesses brand look egregious!

Nice, pretty spacious with many of the popular machines like treadmills. Even during busier times it isn't too hard to find a free machine. They have plenty of cleaning stations too so it's easy to wipe down your machine after use. If you have the black membership there is also the black card room for tanning and massage, but it's first come first serve and you request it from the front desk. Wish they had more channel variety and not fox on two TVs, but that might be a PF thing, not location specific. The staff has always been friendly and bathrooms/lockers are clean.

but Planet Fitness in general is scummy with their membership fees and how difficult it is to cancel. Don’t do it. There’s slightly more expensive but way higher quality gyms out there, trust me. Especially in Bremerton.

I went to this gym for like 5 months, then moved to Vancouver WA and visited a PF down there and they transferred my “home gym” to that one, I finished school 6 months later and moved back to Bremerton, and I went to cancel my membership (because I’m moving to a town without a planet fitness, 40 miles away from the nearest) and they said I had to cancel in person at my home gym. So I asked them to switch my home gym to Bremerton again and they said they couldn’t do that and I’d have to go to my home gym to switch it. So apparently I can be in Vancouver and switch it from Bremerton to Vancouver, but I can’t be in Bremerton and switch it from Vancouver to Bremerton….make it make sense. Someone ain’t doing their job right somewhere.
Anywho now I’m going to write a hand written letter ✍️ and mail it to the Vancouver Mill Plain gym because I’m not going to drive 3 hours just to cancel a gym membership. 🫡

Also the front desk girl here seemed to take it personal that I wanted to cancel my membership. Ma’am, you’re a mere pawn for a massive country wide franchise, it ain’t that serious, you’ll still get paid the same with or without my membership.

EDIT: I sent in a letter 7 days prior to my next bill date, and they still charged me and then cancelled my membership the next day, it doesn’t get any more scummy than this. There’s no way it takes more than a week for a simple letter to travel 100 miles.

Being scammed. I called extremely prior to the start of the month to cancel my membership as I had moved, they said what I needed to do was change my home gym to the one I am now closest to and then go in person to cancel there. The guy on the phone said it would be changed in up to 5 business days, it was Not. Now, I am going to be charged again because according to the new guy I talked to on the phone “Only managers can change someone’s home gym”. Whoever allowed this employee to lie to callers and result in them having to pay again for another month should reevaluate this. Terrible.

I am a member here and I love this place. Plenty of work out equipment and everyone is nice. My reason for the four stars is because I feel like they should have time limits for certain machines, the bench presses in particular. I usually work out for 45 minutes to an hour and there have been times where the same person was using the bench presses the entire time, causing me to not complete my full work out. Other than that, a very good gym!

Unfortunately I started dealing with some serious medical issues after I started my subscription that prevent me from using their services. They WOULD NOT let me cancel my membership over the phone or online, and said I physically need to come into the building to cancel my membership. This is absolutely a predatory policy, and is a straight up money grab for them to pray on people. Disgusting policy. If I could give them 0 stars, I would. I would recommend going with another business if you’re looking to get into a gym. One that respects you, and doesn’t have weird rules about working out or canceling your service.

The staff is friendly and the facility is clean. They have a lot of options for a verity of age ranges, and the atmosphere is positive and less intimidating than some of the other gyms I’ve been to, and the equipment is easy to use. Every one has a QR code you can actually scan with your phone to show you how to use the equipment if you’re unsure and shy to ask anyone.

There are personal coaches on staff who do free training sessions throughout the day, or can help walk you through and show you around the facility to help you get familiar with the environment.

Memberships are super affordable, even the options that include great amenities such as massage chairs, hydro massage, tanning and red light therapy. Definitely recommend! It’s a great place to begin your fitness journey, but also to maintain fitness goals for each individual.

I've been going to this location for almost 1.5 years now consistently. Usually, I work out at night since the vibe is chill and typically not busy. However, I do early mornings too. I have the most experience with the night staff which I give them 5 stars 🌟. If it wasn't for Nazeem having a motivating conversation with me one day I would have quit. Then Zane and Spencer were also welcoming and would make me feel missed if I was gone for a period. Now, they have a lady who has taken Nazeem and she is also amazing. They keep the place clean and stocked when staffing permits. Overall, I have had a pretty good, non-judgemental experience here with the staff and other members.

For some reason, one of the male staff at the Wheaton Way location, thinks it’s appropriate and funny to yell random food names at women as they walk by if they don’t engage in conversation with him. He’s one comment away from a harassment suit. Get control of your staff.

I've always been concerned about other people's sweat and have avoided gyms because of this so I was very happy to see the cleaning stations all over the gym and the signs reminded gym members to clean the equipment after use. I also really appreciate the Planet Fitness app, the library of workouts and tips, and the crowd meter is awesome. Open 24/7 is a huge plus, plus, plus to me. I love the variety of workout and weight machines in the gym and how the equipment has the QR codes so you can learn how to use the equipment. I'm super grateful to be getting this membership free thru my insurance and although I run most mornings at my local park I plan to take full advantage of my membership.

Always had a fobia of going to a gym because of being overweight and an epileptic but they made me feel so comfortable and welcomed. Always willing to show me what equipment to use to work on the body parts I'm focusing on. If you are looking for a gym this is the place!

The people at the Bremerton Planet Fitness are awesome! They are friendly and helpful when needed. Attentive to one's needs also. People like Jon, Kia, Elizabeth, David, Von, Claudia, Sam(Samantha), and others. Ive been coming here since it has opened at this location. I even used a PF in Arizona when i was on vacation. I ttry and get anyone who will listen to join up. I love this place. I feel like I'm part of the Planet Fitness family! Sincere thanks from your friend Jeffery Ostrom.

It’s a pretty decent gym if you just wanna get a quick workout, very crowded. There’s a lot of construction going on, so it’s hard to find parking .

Wow this gym really is the best! The front desk is amazing! So helpful and friendly. The trainer is incredibly knowledgeable. The management is so thoughtful and they seem happy to work with you. This is one of my favorite planet fitness I have ever been to!

Place is alright if you just need a quick workout. Not a very good place to workout if you’re a consist gym person. Has lot of machine and cardio. Best place for beginners

Joining/checking in for the very first time, Jon was cheerful and very helpful getting me set up in the system. I was shown the different areas of the gym and how to operate or find instructional videos for the equipment. Super nice staff! The gym is very clean, and all of the equipment is clean and tidy.

This gym is fantastic and my favorite!! However, I’ve been hoping for years they’d open one in Port Orchard/Purdue area. It takes up too much gas and time out of my day to drive back and forth from my house to Bremerton! Hoping this review maybe changes that a little…

With the exception of a few employees who are great, the staff here is a joke. I went and dropped my boyfriend off, as I have tons of times with him and my roommate, and scanned him in under my black card guest that I have paid for for over 2 years. Their employee Von, followed my boyfriend to the locker room and physically grabbed him by the arm and tried to forcibly remove him from the gym when he wasn't aware he was doing anything wrong. There was no respectful conversation prior to laying hands on him. He just grabbed him without warning and told him to get out or pay a guest pass even though he was there under my guest pass. I have called corporate and reported several instances where Vons customer service was horrendous. I have even complained to other employees about my experiences and they agreed with me that he isn't a good employee and they don't like working with him. I am shocked that both Von and David their manager still work there.

The machines and equipment are kept in good, if not great, condition, and those that are down for maintenance typically aren't down for long. The staff are all very friendly and helpful, always ready answer questions and even guide new people on basics of how to use different stations around the gym. The only problem is during "peak" times, because there is only 1 or maybe 2 of any given muscle- or movement-specific machine, which sometimes leads to having to either change up your routine if you're short on time or wait for the current person to be done. Meanwhile, there is almost always an entire row of treadmills collecting dust. Fortunately, nearly everyone here is very good about being timely and cleaning the equipment after use, so the wait time generally isn't too bad. Very well ventilated and always cool but never cold. Overall a very solid gym experience at most times of the day!
