Their new 24/7 hours availabllity is usully the only thing impressive. Their posting of correct holiday hours and employees are lacking in their availability at the front desk and incorrectly know how to set up a hydro massage to the right massage bed or even back to back massages only are done correctly by 1 employee. There is a chance to improve this review by letting members schedule and start are own massages.
I love their hydro massage beds and chairs with great customization for the massage and is powerful enough to help my scar tissue along my spine due to multiple spinal surgeries. The software for the hydro massage can be a bit buggy at times with sometime frequently going outside the set massage area. I mainly use this gym for the hydro massage, traveling makes my health worse, please open a new location in West Richland as I need to use this gym multiple times a day.

I feel it’s important for other members to be aware. There’s a man named Greg who was banned from the Pasco Planet Fitness but is still showing up at other locations. He has a habit of watching women while stretching and it’s really uncomfortable. When confronted, he becomes defensive and aggressive. It’s unsettling and it’s obvious that he watches women while they are working out or stretching. I really hope management takes this seriously and does something to protect members as they’ve done at the Pasco planet fitness everyone deserves to feel safe.

Shower Review:

This planet fitness has all the positives and negatives of the Richland location. The water got hot which is a major plus. But there was only 1 changing room for 4 showers and the accessible stall was too small for a wheelchair user to be used optimally. The control knobs were also the confusing 2 part system that always frustrates me as I wonder if I turned both parts the correct way. But I did get a shower so it’s a win there.

My husband did also report that the hooks in the men’s room were almost all broken so there was only 1 shower that you could hang your stuff outside of.

Oh let me count the ways this place sucks.

1. Half the benches have rips. Been that way for months and months. Many of the machines are the same. I think their MO is see if it will fall off first completely before replacing.
2. Speaking of machines. At any given time there is at least 3 machines broken. And spend months not being fixed. That’s cool. Didn’t want to work out at the gym anyways on that machine. Or the second same machine also broken.
3. Showers. Well. 1 has been broken for a year. Not kidding. Only 1 stall has hooks as the other 2 have been ripped off the wall. And that’s right, been that way for MONTHS.
4. Dogs. Apparently this gym is dog friendly. Not service dog. Just bring you dog. Awesome. Nothing like push-ups on the floor where a dog went to the bathroom.
5. Lockers. Nothing like see half broken doors ripped off the hinges. You are what you attract. Didn’t know we’re going for low end product here. Sweet.

Now the 1 star? Staff. At least they’re nice and making due. But someone fire the manager. This is their issue and problem.

Now. You pay for what you get. And yes. It’s cheap. But this is a multi million dollar company and this franchisee CLEARLY has zero respect for their product. Corporate should do something. It’s a joke.

UPDATE! Someone actually read and paid attention! Bonus star for finally checking this.

Showers finally getting fixed! Still missing hooks.
They are slowly replacing the ripped benches on equipment.
They removed the broken locker doors. I assume replacements are on back order.
Machines actually got fixed so most now working.

Maybe I should apply here or travel to all their gyms to help shore things up?! Lol

Nothing like leaving your stuff on a soaking wet floor because the $5 hooks are broken and missing… seriously. I’ll donate them. Smh…

Probably had the most unprofessional interaction I’ve ever had at any planet fitness I’ve been too. You guys need to get rid of Ingrid or maybe send her back through training. There was a long of 6 people waiting almost 20 minutes for her as she was sitting in the front of the gym on her phone with headphones on. She was super rude to everyone that was waiting and then proceeded to tell us she didn’t have to help any of us and if she wanted to she could of had us waiting for as long as she wanted. Very unprofessional and I was super unimpressed with her customer service.

Edited: After having that interaction and this review being posted she proceeded to give my information to a relative of hers who then messaged me on Facebook threatening to fight me and “break my jaw for free” His words exactly.

Hands down, the cleanest and most well-maintained gym in the Tri-Cities. Equipment is always in top shape—any issues get fixed almost immediately. Cleanliness is clearly a high priority, and it shows in every corner of the club.

The selection of modern cardio machines and strength-training equipment is massive—you’ll never have to wait for your favorite machine.

While a pool or steam room would be a nice addition, the club more than makes up for it with free amenities like massage chairs, HydroMassage beds, red light therapy, tanning beds, and comfortable lounge areas—all included with your membership.

I tend to travel quit a bit due to work and this planet fitness has to be one of the few that keeps up with there cleanliness. Hats of to Kayla in whom I’ve witnessed multiple times going above and beyond in keeping it clean. From the showers to the equipment and to filling up the rolls of paper towels. Have been going to this Planet Fitness for a year. It's a good place to go for a nice workout. Older people tend to go in the morning. Younger people tend to go in the afternoon. The temperature is a bit cool for me so I tend to wear a light jacket.

I've gone to this gym a few times and it was fine. Like most planet fitness they are" mid" at best. But just yesterday there an employee working there who was paying a gross amount of attention to my niece. He had a beard and looked mid 20s. He was inappropriately talking to my niece and flirting with her and was out of line and disgusting. My niece is 16. This adult male employee was flirting with my 16 y.o niece!..I am saying this so others can be careful and aware of this type of behavior exhibited by the staff at this planet fitness. Please stay safe people and speak up if your see something. This behavior is not okay.

Clean, well organized, and not extremely crowded. A good mix of age groups. There are no "gym thots" or ridiculously ripped "gym rats." I love this gym. Staff are wonderful.
Clean and lots of equipment to choose from. Also, having the Black Card benefits is great from the use of the massage chairs to free entry to a PF gym when I'm out of town to bringing my teenage son with me to workout. It is well worth the added cost.

One of the dirtiest Planet Fitnesses I’ve been to. Same weed stem on the locker room bench all week, shower curtains are caked up and gross. Not the cleanest gym. Lots of litter, dust, and hair on the floor and equipment. Twice within the last 30 days I’ve shown up to the gym at 5am, and nobody was there. Not a great place. They OVERCHARGE. We tried to cancel several times and we kept being told oh you have to go to this one, you have to call this person blah blah. We finally “got it.” And they assured like 3 times that we had cancelled. We double checked because we were leaving the area, so we definitely didn’t want to keep paying for it. But then guess we what we got charged for 2 more months! When we called they said they had no record of our initial cancellations, and they would “process” our refund, which we still haven’t gotten over a month later. It sucks so bad. Definitely not worth it. Also, the first time we went there it was closed because someone got stabbed there! The staff is about what you expect from a cheap gym ie young and inattentive. Consequently lots of people misuse the machines. The only good thing is it’s usually not super busy.

Update: the social media team did reach out to me. Although they were very nice they said they couldn’t do anything to help and we should just keep bugging the manager until they give us our refund.Apparently they can’t do anything with billing they just want to be seen addressing all bad reviews quickly. That’s probably the only way we’ll ever get our refund. It still sucks that they said they would give it and they won’t and now they’re just avoiding us. Again I wouldn’t go to this club!

Maintaining a membership here is tricky. Initially I joined to have a clean air work out space during smokey months and access to more cardio machines but the air filters aren't quality enough. I can smell smoke particularly strong in the massage chair area... Which makes me doubtful that the rest of the air is much cleaner than the outside air.
Otherwise it's kept clean. I wish there was less screens or at least some areas in the cardio center without the TV's turned on. I really hate watching the news and having my stress levels increase when working out should be doing the opposite.

I do like that I can turn them off in the massage chair room at least. The massage chairs and water beds are a great way to start and/or end a workout.

This gym is slowly slipping. I have showed up more than once and the gym is not open. No signs , no reason. The equipment is also declining in condition. Half of the squat stations are broken, the bikes are starting to fall apart, several of the leg machines are always down. Angel is the best! We had 5 million questions and she was super nice and patient. I was just going to being my friend in to show her around while the kids jumped at trampoline zone with their dad. After our experience with Angel my friend also got a black card membership. We tanned, got lotion, used the hydromassage beds, and the red light treatment. If Angel hadn't been so patient with answering all the questions and explaining everything and we would have just left. Instead we got a mini inexpensive spa time.

My only negative is that it says their open 24/7 and I was going to come back in the evening, but they're not 24/7 anymore...so that's a bummer.

Hydromassage bed 8 doesn't work, they don't provide masks, so you have to use an old/ and or sweaty mask the whole time, they also charge a $5 franchise fee for no other reason than they can (No other planet fitness that I've seen does this) went in the bathroom, and noticed and overflown urinal noone did anything about. Also pee on the floor, and just dirtyness, but they pretend to care about cleanliness.

Today I feel as if I was singled out and judged by staff. I was not completely wearing my mask do to health conditions. I’ve also in the past provided a doctors note explaining my medical condition and it’s on file there.
I don’t mind being asked to raise my mask but to have a staff member come straight to me and single me out and talk to me in a stern manner and then by pass several other people made me feel as if it was personal. As I was leaving the gym there was a client at the front desk talking to staff and not wearing a mask at all. I guess I don’t understand the motive behind singling out some and letting other do what they want.
All I want and I’m sure everyone else wants is a nice place to workout without being singled out and judged no matter what our medical status is. I’m just trying to be healthy and beat this whole pandemic thing we’re all going through.

Since I can’t respond to your reply: I did stop by the front desk and talked to the manager.
Today when I was in there several people were not wearing masks. I had mine on as to comply with your directives. Some had them under their noses, most had them under their chins and a few didn’t have one at all. As a paying member of your establishment where is the consistency to the rules you enforce? Does covid only spread at certain times during the day? Or maybe it only affects certain classes of people? It SADDENS me that as you run a business, you concern for others well being isn’t your first priority.

Friendly front desk staff, pretty clean bathroom/locker room. I did find the sign on the front door pretty appalling, which said that they do not provide masks but they require you to be wearing a mask to enter the gym. Also, I had a hard time watching people doing cardio, such as running on a treadmill and the elliptical machines while wearing masks.

My home away from home wherever I happen to be from Washington to Cali or beyond. The tanning alone is worth the cost a black card. So if you're tanning at a salon, go to the gym instead to take advantage of more options like fitness & massage. I especially like my home location in Kennewick because of the friendly & helpful staff.
