When you cancel membership it's a nightmare. Make sure you get a confirmation email with in 48 hours and way before your renew date or else they'll continue to charge you. Also make sure you cancel at the original gym you signed up at. And don't try calling in to cancel because that doesnt work.Trying to cancel at a different location won't work.

I’ve really enjoyed my time here and think it’s a wonderful place. However, I’ve recently noticed a decline in cleanliness, especially in the restrooms. Lately, they’re often dirty, sometimes out of soap, and there’s no hand sanitizer available. The small restroom has dust on the walls, and I frequently see urine on the toilet seats. This wasn’t the case six months ago, when everything was much cleaner. I hope the staff can address these issues so the environment returns to the higher standard it once had.

Personally I like this location because between 10am and 2pm it is not busy. Staff is friendly and equipment is functional. The only reason I gave a 4 star is because the massage equipment needs updating and at times they are broke down and unclean. But I don't use those beds often.

Staff will purposely ignore you when you walk to the front desk to ask a question. They will visibly notice you standing there, then look up and away and walk in circles pretending not to notice you. This has happened to me SEVERAL times. I simply wanted to tell them that paper towels need refilling each time I went up to the front desk. Notably a short Latina girl with glasses, a taller light skinned Latino with brown hair and a man in a turban. Its not funny to be treated like this, but it’s actually hilarious how these grown adults act like dogs, looking away from people thinking they are hiding. I really don’t understand the logic behind it. Their jobs are not that labor intensive anyways. Just be kind and considerate!

No one goes to check paper towels regularly. Every time I go to the gym there is at least 2 paper towel dispensers empty and I have to walk far away from my personal items to grab paper towels to clean. I understand that I go during a busy time of day but that should mean the staff is making extra rounds to make sure their patrons can help clean after themselves. The staff is always chilling and chatting amongst each other at the front desk anyway.

Red light machine hasn’t worked for months because they are “waiting on bulbs.” What the hell am I paying for a black card membership for then? Are they ordering the replacement bulbs from outer space? Why has no one expedited this order or called a repairman???? Why is this not a priority?

Got the case to my headphone stolen, while I went to go fill up my water bottle. Literally this place has the most addicts than anywhere else. It’s crazy, they come in just to streak your stuff. No camera for anyone to take a look for you, so this place is not safe at all. Not even the lockers. Can’t even take your keys because that will also get stolen.

Staff (Zoe & Tracy) were very helpful in dealing with my concern about my bill. They were friendly and kind.
The center is clean and comfortable. I have never felt uncomfortable being there and being overweight, no one stares or makes me feel bad. People you pass by smile and if you need help, there's always someone to assist.
There are TVs you can Bluetooth to, so you can watch and walk on the treadmill or stationary bike.
They have cleaning stations so you can clean your equipment after use, and directions on almost everything in case you are new to that station.
The woman's bathroom is clean, with lockers, showers and tvs so you can rest while getting dressed.

The only thing I don't like, is if you cancel and want to restart, you have to pay the annual fee again. It should carry, once you pay the fee, you've paid the fee. Alas, can't have everything (and not their fault, so they don't lose stars over it. It's corporate...)

I recently visited this Planet Fitness location 24044 104th Ave SE A, Kent, WA 98030, and I was extremely disappointed with the experience. The manager’s behavior was shockingly rude and unprofessional. Rather than addressing my concerns in a respectful manner, she was dismissive and seemed more interested in arguing than helping. It’s very clear that she does not have the proper attitude or skills to be in a managerial position. I’ve been a member at various Planet Fitness locations, and I’ve never encountered such poor customer service. This experience has made me seriously reconsider continuing my membership. I hope the corporate office looks into this and makes the necessary changes because this type of behavior is unacceptable. I will never recommend this location to anybody.

Generally the experience at this location is fine. CJ is always so kind and helpful. Today was a stressful and unpleasant experience though. The staff at the front desk bullied me into taking a photo in which I was not prepared to do. I have never had to do this in the several months coming they always say your good no photo needed. Danny Naima Kayden were the desk personnel at this time . I explained I was not prepared to take a photo I then received just take it in a snide attitude. The young man didn’t really say much he was pretty good he just didn’t know what to do. It escalated u til I just took a photo then they made fun of me. Not even realizing I may be having a bad day. As I walked away I expressed my frustration stating I am not going to come back to this club. I then was told by yelling across the gym “then don’t we don’t want you here” . How embarrassing is that like I was a horrible person and did something to be banished. As a manager myself, this would not be acceptable . All three of them continues to seemingly make fun of me and talk about it after I left the area. The ladies are usually here in the morning not doing anything but standing around and doing nothing . I want to come here and workout not have to defend myself and ruin my morning . I do hope that this is a good lesson for them to be coached on .

One way to make a change that would be benefit the most people and even gain new business is to change from ridiculous 4AM-11pm to 6AM - 1AM and Friday and Saturday from 9AM to 11pm. NO ONE goes to the gym at 4AM but numerous people work out at night! Weekend hours you close WAY too early. This will make a lot of people MUCH more happy as I speak with many other members who agree with this. Many have cancelled since planet fitness change their hours from 24 hours.

Today, I encountered a deeply disappointing experience at your gym. Upon arrival, I was denied entry because I was informed that my payment information needed to be updated. I would like to clarify that my membership payments are processed directly through my bank, not via a card.

The way this situation was handled by the manager, Mackenzie, was both unprofessional and disheartening. She made several rude remarks that left me feeling uncomfortable and unwelcome in what should be a supportive environment. Unfortunately, it seems I am not alone in this experience, as other customers have also expressed dissatisfaction with Mackenzie’s conduct.

I want to emphasize that this negative experience is not reflective of the other staff members, who have always been friendly and understanding. However, due to this incident, I will no longer be using this gym’s services.

This gym has terrible customer service. My question is, what am I paying you for? Because I couldn't leave my bag in the car, I had to leave the gym because an employee came and kicked me out. I asked for two minutes to finish my workout and they wouldn't give it to me. She stood over me and demanded that I leave. My recent experience at Planet Fitness left much to be desired. Despite having a valid, non-expiring membership that I had recently cancelled, I encountered significant issues at the front desk. The staff member on duty was extremely unprofessional and unable to locate my membership record, even after I showed him proof of payment from my bank statement for the Black membership this month.

Interestingly, another staff member had successfully checked me in just the day before without any issues. When I mentioned this discrepancy, the front desk attendant dismissed my concern entirely and maintained an unhelpful and unprofessional demeanor throughout our interaction. It is crucial for management to carefully consider whom they hire to represent their gym at the front desk.

As a paying member with a valid subscription, I believe it is my right to access the gym and utilize its facilities without unnecessary hindrance. I should not be burdened with the task of retrieving my own membership records, especially when they should be readily accessible to staff. Despite my membership being valid until the middle of this month, I was coerced into paying for another membership, which is completely unacceptable.

Overall, I am disappointed with the lack of professionalism and customer service displayed during my visit. I hope that Planet Fitness management takes steps to address these issues and ensure that all members are treated respectfully and efficiently in the future.

I came here for a quick five-minute tan. The door sign indicated they close at 7 PM. Since it was 6:38 PM, I figured I had plenty of time, as I’ve never had an issue tanning at this location around this time before. However, as soon as I walked in, Jesus greeted me with, “We close at 7!” without even a hello. I was taken aback and replied, “I know, I just wanted a quick tan and I’ll be out way before closing.” He curtly responded, “Doesn’t matter, we shut them down 20 minutes before.” This was quite rude, especially since I’ve never experienced this issue before. Decided for the all access membership. Less than 30 days into my term my husband and I were charged $53 a piece plus our monthly fee. We went in "$53 Is your yearly membership fee". . But we just joined 20 days ago?
They said it was in the paperwork. Good lord!
Then we have both had compromised debit cards through the 12 months. We went in in person multiple times to fix it/add new card # to acct "manager in a meeting", "manager left early, "manager is the only person to help", "manager leaves early on Friday"
So for working people we were having a VERY hard time accessing help and getting questions asked as new gym members. Right? Hello? Anybody there?
So finally we catch a manager before leaving "we need all your info again, routing #, acct number etc ".
We do it. $15 late fees on both accts from August to March. Go in March 24. No help. Our acct # and routing # us and has been the same. All that has changed is the debit card # as it was compromised. So today $53×2 for annual fee + again $15 per month per membership for late fees because THEY can't access bank of America as quickly as we can come in to tell them our new #
Does this actually make sense to anyone? We have had a problem since Feb 2023 when we joined. Ongoing. Spent so much in fees and misunderstanding it's terrible. I canceled today in person. I'm exhausted of all the round and round. My husband will likely be behind her. Not my problem. Thks but no thks

Yes I totally agree this is one of the rudest locations! I went there to workout and was rudely greeted by staff. Also told I couldn’t workout there because it wasn’t my primary location and I wasn’t a black card member! I told them I had just moved to Kent and haven’t yet change my primary location but just wanted to get a workout in and promised to change it asap! I mean I am a member regardless of which location. Instead they tried to talk me into upgrading my membership and refused to let me workout unless I paid which I did. Also they have a girl with braids that walks around like security why you workout making me very uncomfortable constantly looking over my shoulder. I am a person who enjoys routine. I come to the Kent location at 5AM averaging 3-4 times a week since the beginning of the year. I updated my membership to black card just so I can use the body enhancement whenever I go to the gym. I usually go to set up for the 5:06 schedule for body enhancement and that’s before I start to work out. I empathize with an employee(s) who have other duties than to stand around in the front desk, but really, they can’t check front desk every so often just to check whether a PF member(s) schedule an appointment? I have to track an employee down and I can’t even do that because they’re not in the bathrooms both men and women (I ask my husband to check the men’s bathroom too to find an employee).
It doesn’t take a full minute to set the body enhancement machine up. It’s too many times and very often that I’d schedule for 5:06 AM and then schedule the 5:24AM and then 5:40 AM because there was nobody at the front desk to help me. There was also this one time where there was no employee for the full hour as I wait to be set up. I waste my time, lose my workout routine, and this causes frustration.
Other members who notices me check the front desk very often would comment “she’s never there”, or “I think she’s hiding in the back sleeping”. This is unfortunate and a poor representation of this location.

Canceled my plan last year due to moving/military related, and an injury. The process to cancel was brutal, multiple times they said I could not do it that day due to the manager not being there. This happened regularly for a month. I was told the manger would be there during X days from 9am. Everytime I showed up they just shrugged and said I guess they’re not coming in today. When I left I filed out the cancellation form and left it with the front desk. They said I’d get a call, never happened. Aug 13 2023 me n there guys locker got broken in and the stolen a dude wallet and his car n then person on duty seem to not care even the General Manger seen to not care to n i buy there lock and it not a good lock from them plz watch ur thing and carry ur important on u like wallet, key for example just be a look out in the lock guys just hanging out there beside them Is changing

The Manager Ms. Renee is rude and unprofessional and all staff refused to cancel the account for several years and kept charging my account even though my membership was transferred to another club and cancelled with Kent and other clubs. Kent in the only one refusing to CAN and remove any fees or reimburse for that matter. They just do not care and hang up on you. DO NOT USE THIS CLUB, THEY WILL JUST TAKE YOUR MONEY AND REFUSE TO CANCEL THE MEMBERSHIP. THAT IS HOW THEY MAKE MONEY. THEY EVEN REFUSE TO PROVIDE THEIR OWN CORPORATE OFFICE but going to CEO CHIS RONDEAU

The staff are wonderful. It isn't the largest planet fitness, but will still hold everything you would need as a beginner or intermediate lifter. Even if you're more experienced and on a budget, it's still a good choice. Beware, the dumbbells only go to 75lbs. It's amazing that they have two sets of every weight, though! Almost always busy, though. Don't trust the app. People are polite. Nearly all the staff, again, are amazing. Shout out to the evening crew!

Love that I can go to any PF! When I travel out of town or even local close to home or work. Staff is always friendly and informative. Most recently I had a fractured rib and utilizing the Angel Beauty Red Light therapy has helped my healing process. Don't sleep on that or the variety massage machines after a good workout!
