Great place & people, but I believe they underestimated the amount of people verses size of gym. Not enough of some equipments verses others..one recumbent bike and bathrooms need a redo with signs clearly posted for disabled only unless added handle bars and benches to other shower stalls.
I was there and a young skinny minnie dashed in front of me to get into the large disabled shower when there were 2 smaller showers available. I was barely able to lift my leg over the edge for the smaller shower, had to end shower and prayed I could get back to changing stall without issues. There were no bars to hold on to and I have a spinal cord injury. She was still showering when I had to get out due to the pain I was having and no place to sit in the smaller shower. Not first time.

I absolutely love this place,great atmosphere and great staff !!!!I just have one complaint,the floor!!!
I do a workout on the floor on the mats and I have to say it has been quite discussing.If you guys just vacuum it once a day you should be fine but I see it doesn’t get done.I think your open 24 hrs and there is people in here at all times.But might be good to get that done at night sometime.when laying the mat down all this stuff flies around off the floor or when doing workout if flings up from off your shoes.Like I said great place but please clean the floors the need it!!!

I joined this gym at the beginning of the year when it first opened. Some of the staff are great- there's a couple girls that have been there from the start who are amazing, and a gentleman with long hair too. But the other staff have treated me rudely. I am always super polite, and very shy. It takes a lot for me to ask a question. The fans on the ellipticals don't work, and they're brand new equipment. I've asked 5 people to fix it now over the course of 6 months and still nothing. My friend is pregnant and can't even finish her workouts with me anymore because the gym is so hot, and none of the fans work. The guy with the short red hair gave me a big sigh, rolls his eyes, and says "he'll look at it". He had such attitude for absolutely no reason. Same with the two bigger girls. That was a month ago, they're still not working. I hate being treated like a burden for such a simple question. It would make all the difference to get those fixed. And maybe some air circulation but I realize that's a much harder ask.

Canceled after two months and I won't be back, their billing system is a joke. First months renewal it said it couldn't process my payment, so I spoke to a young lady at the desk and she told me it couldn't find my account, and because my account was so new it didn't use my back up payment. They took the late fee off for me and I paid on the spot, went home and double checked every account and routing number to make sure it was correct. Behold, I went to go to the gym today and it says my payment wasn't processed! Same issue, only now they say I need a letter from the bank. Canceled and paid what I owed - with the same card they had! Don't worry, they still made sure to charge me my late fee this time!

I specifically joined the gym for access to the Black Card spa amenities, and unfortunately, my experience thus far has been disappointing. I’m hopeful that the ongoing issues will be addressed promptly. While the membership is advertised as all-inclusive, I’ve primarily been utilizing the tanning service, which is frequently out of order. The delays in repairs and general lack of timely maintenance have been frustrating.

It’s difficult to understand how a gym operated under such a large and well-known brand—regardless of individual ownership—can consistently struggle with keeping its amenities in working order. That said, I would like to acknowledge the staff at this location, who are consistently professional and courteous. It’s unfortunate that they are often placed in difficult situations due to these recurring maintenance issues.

All the staff have been so kind to me. This is my first gym I’ve ever workout at. So I don’t have much to compare it to but for a beginner I feel like it has everything I need. My only complaint is that I had someone sign up so I should have received a “free” month. It’s been 2 months now and I’ve haven’t received it.. yet. I have talked to someone twice about this issue and they said they put a note on my account so hopefully this month I get the “free” month. Over all I have enjoyed this gym and the staff.

It’s an okay gym. Glad there is finally an affordable option in town, especially a chain where you can opt into a membership plan with multiple locations, but it definitely feels like they rushed renovations to open in time for the business influx from new years resolutioners.

Constantly seeing leaks from the ceiling all over the gym, treadmills in and out of service (repairs seem quick at least), but today I just noticed mold all along the window caulking. And yes it’s a gym, but it almost always smells lol. I’ve been to plenty of PF gyms that are more crowded and have better air flow/ventilation.

Staff is friendly. Parking sucks during peak hours.

Awesome gym. Just started up and seems great. People are nice and very comfortable to work out in. Wish they did provide towels for the shower though. Just a minor complaint. But overall very happy with it. I will be working out and getting In Great shape again I'm exited.

Wanted to update since I also have started using the facility for occasional weight training. The assisted lift/dip machine is awesome AND there are battle ropes. It’s a great addition to Port Orchard. I love to come by after a hard workout to recuperate and their cardio equipment is awesome. Staff is helpful and super friendly. Love the hydromassage and cyrolounge chairs. Facility is very clean.

I love this gym! Yes, it can get busy. It's the beginning of the year and they just opened. It's expected. And the showers aren't always very warm.. BUT the employees are awesome, there are lots of machines to choose from, and I don't feel judged at all. And you cannot beat the monthly fee!

So happy to have a new and affordable gym in Port Orchard. It is expected to be busy because another gym was needed. My disappointment is that there is equipment that is out of order. I’m not sure why this new equipment would not be functional. The fans on the ellipticals and the bicycles do not come on. I have asked and no one seems to have an answer. There are kinks to be worked out as with all new openings.

The workers here are really nice and the gym is fairly clean and I don’t want this review to reflect poorly on them!
However - I really just object to Planet Fitness’ branding. Their value proposition is all gimmicks like tanning beds and “judgement free zones” with no real weight racks, and the customer segment they attract reflects that (ie. the people there are always so weird, like PF is the Walmart of gyms). As an alternative - if you’re serious about your fitness, try Olympic Gym instead just down the road. It’s a locally owned business and they’ve got a much better atmosphere and equipment, and they do short term passes and military discount.

I have been coming here since this location has been open and I am also very frustrated with staff and how they are running things..not once, not twice, but THREE times I have patiently waited for red light only to have it given to someone else who was not there before me..I don’t have time for mistakes like that, and I’m sure others don’t as well. Most of the hand sanitizers are empty, and often there is no paper in the paper dispensers. While working out and looking down at the machine I have watched a layer of dust and grime building weekly, obviously not getting cleaned at all by staff. The first time I did red light I opened the standup doors to find the door to the room ajar and was shocked! Upon alerting staff they did know about this problem and gave no prior warning to me..this door is still a problem and the countless times I used it after I had to ask staff if it was an issue still myself with no one giving me a reminder/warning. I’ve never seen both of the drink machines in working operation so the 50% off feature of the black card for that is useless. Would love to see the facility clean, cleaning equipment and sanitation stocked, some sort of check in or queue for those waiting to use the black card features, and things all in working order. Most of the staff does come off as rude with the exception of one girl who seem genuine and kind.

Parking not too bad at 6am. Seemed easy to check in and get started on a machine. Good variety to machines. Clean. There are a couple things I wished they had but they have other things too. Locker room, shower and bathrooms. I wish they had photos online of the inside including what machines they have to help ease gym anxiety. But overall nice gym for the price.

I’ve been a member of planet fitness for many years and travel extensively so I see a lot of different locations . Port Orchard is very lucky to have such a new, nice clean gym. There was all the right machines , plenty of free weights and the staff was very friendly. I’ll be back as often as I can. Good job PF !

Completely untrained and ignorant, and rude staff. We’re happily going back to our more expensive gym. Their phone number only rings in Oak Harbor location and the girls at the front desk don’t know anything about it. There are no towels available. The temperature is far too hot for a gym. To add insult to injury, you can join on the app and you can upgrade your membership on the app but it is impossible to cancel on the app. So pissed. The old saying is true. You get what you pay for.

The place is new, so I understand things not being as smooth as they will be. But maybe a little more training on the computer, policies, services, etc? The staff is all pretty young...maybe teach them that some older folks get frustrated when told.."download the app" (and then not help with that when asked), "that's online", etc. I am asking a person, and I would like an answer from a person. Also, maybe don't be on your cellphone when at work???
I like the layout overall and plan on being a regular.

Edit: I changed to a 3 star from a 1. We finally were able to get a tour and the staff I have encountered over the past 2 days (5 different people) have all been attentive and helpful. I’m still quite disappointed that there is not a space for classes. I was really hoping for the 30 second circuit class, but the fact the equipment is out on the floor with everything else, not sure how any classes can be scheduled without a dedicated space.

I actually joined prior to it actually opening, as I was excited to get a PF so close to my house. I tried to go in a couple times now and maybe because it’s new and their staff isn’t quite experienced enough that’s why things are so bad. Tried to go in for a tour and was told “can’t do one right now”. Asked when we could, was told “just really busy”. Another person came over and said “we’ve been trying to do them every hour so you can always come back.” Asked about classes and was told again “don’t know. it’s up to the trainer so maybe in like a month or so we’ll have a schedule.” Why bother to open if you’re not prepared to serve clients. The location is awful. Parking is ridiculous, they’re still technically working on the building, and it’s VERY small compared to other locations I’ve been to. Super cramped spaces. Think I should have waited to start membership until after the location was finished. Hoping once the holiday vacation season is over and the building work is complete that things might get better. Also some film on the windows would be nice so it’s not completely open to view by every person walking by.

Just went to check out the port Orchard planet fitness. I used to go to the Bremerton one quite often. I moved to Port Orchard and just stopped going. I came in today to see if my account was still active so that I could start coming to the Port Orchard location right away. The staff were not welcoming at all and frankly kind of rude. As I came in and was explaining exactly what I explained in the beginning of this review to the individual, she cut me off as if not wanting to hear what I had to say. I thought it would be pertinent information. She told me that she thinks that I need to pay $56 before I can start going again but “she’s not sure”. She then let me know that she doesn’t know what do to for me to start going again or how to process the transaction and that since she doesn’t have a manager there to help her she can’t help me. I asked when a manager would be there so that I could move forward with getting back into the gym And she told me she doesn’t know. “Just try coming later in the week” Was not very helpful and honestly a very bad experience. It would’ve been a little bit of an easier experience if they were at least a little bit welcoming.. I guess I’ll just show up until a manager is there?
