I've been attending this gym for a while. I actually drive out of my way to attending this gym for 2 reasons. 1 being it is a pretty clean gym. The staff does a great job of keeping up on the overall look and cleanliness of the gym. 2) is the staff st this place. Everyone is awesome but extra shoutout to Tyler!!! All star employee!!! This guy always greets you with a smile. Seems genuinely happy to be at work. Remembers names amd just all around makes you feel good about yourself!! Any business would be blessed to have Tyler as an employee. The world needs more people like Tyler!!! Thank you planet fitness for providing the perfect arena to build our bodies and self esteem. To the owner of Planet Fitness, whoever decided to hire Tyler made an amazing decision to bring on such an assets to your team!!! This particular gym is almost 10 minutes further than the closest gym to my house bit because to rhe cleanliness and service of the employees, my girlfriend Amanda and I drive tue extra few miles. We love it here!!!

Planet fitness needs to up their game with the size of their gyms in this state in this area. I have the black card, and travel for work. The Texas one that I go to is four times the size of this place with way better equipment. This gym is probably the best planet fitness in the area. Employees are fine, they do have a high turnover, some high school kids and early college kids running the place.

The front desk receptionist (female/red hair) was unprofessional and rude. I came in for a free day pass. I am looking into gyms and my daughter goes here so I wanted to try it. The receptionist refused to allow me to have the free day pass which I pulled up online for potential new members (I have never been here before). She said it would be a $20 day pass or a membership. I explained multiple times and asked for a manager and she refused. We ended up leaving. I will be taking my business elsewhere

The machines are pretty good, they need better weight lifting stuff though. It was extremely inconvenient that the lockers in the locker room DONT have locks, you have to bring your own, that ruined my shower experience, wish I would have known about that from your club page at the very least. The hydromassage chair is incredible and the staff are pretty friendly, the place is pretty clean as well.

I don’t have any major complaints about this location. Only the common one about PF that they don’t have a large selection of free weights. They are best suited for people on the go or for those who are shy to be around what they call “lunk heads”.

For a gym that professes to have a “judge free zone”, they sure are judgy about those who spend a lot of time in the gym.

This location was as follows:

Cleanliness: 5/5. Most important factor after equipment selection is how clean the gym is. Best way to tell is to go look at the showers. If you don’t find any kind of mold or mildew, they are a clean gym. That’s what I found here.

Selection: common PF selection.

Environment: very few “meat heads”, so if those kinds of people stress you out, this gym fits the bill. It IS motivating to see so many people who clearly struggle with weight loss or health issues. I would tell them how motivating they are to me, but while that type of support is widely supported in the normal gyms I go to, I am unsure of how people would react here.

Synopsis: this PF is just like any other PF I have been to, same selection, same clientele.

If you are new and intimidated by the veterans of the gym, this may be your place.

If you are a long-time vet of going to the gym, and are looking for more advanced strength training with free weights, you don’t want to go to any PF, but I think that is commonly known.

If you are simply looking for a clean place to take a shower every day, and don’t mind paying $30/month to do that, then this location is as clean as any gym I’ve been in. Having been in many military and civilian gyms over the past 30 years, I’ve seen a lot.

However, I had the misfortune of dealing with Rachel, who seemed to want to assert some sort of weird dominance over me by assuming I was not a member, and declining services to me. I left and will be joining another gym today because of Rachel and the way she treated me. If you wonder why you are losing black card members, this is why.

Staff are incredibly rude. Stand there with their headphones on, look right at you and don’t acknowledge your presence. I needed some help getting my purse out of a stuck locker, and stood there for a good few minutes waiting for one of them to acknowledge I was there. I would give this more stars if the teenage looking staff members worked while on the clock. Several times I have come in and there are 2 teenage employees on there phones for over an hour behind the counter and the cleaning stations are out of supplies to wipe down equipment. I have had to ask 3 times for the soap dispensers to be refilled in the bathroom to wash my hands, and the music is often too loud, to the point I can’t hear my own music in my headphones. Otherwise I love coming here, the adult staff that does work are always friendly

Make sure you cancel your membership before the 10th of the month because even though you don’t see the charge till the 18th they’ll tell you it comes out on the 10th so “try canceling next month” Also make sure when you go in and SIGN to cancel that they actually process your cancellation and send you an email confirmation because they’ll just charge you for the next month and then when you call they tell you that you never came in and cancelled… They tell you that there’s nothing they can do over the phone and you have to come in again! When you speak to a manager “Rachel” she tells you they don’t do “refunds” for their mistakes, she say it’s “not possible!” So they have set up a system that does not allow them to make right on their mistakes. But she could go “above and beyond” and cancel for me over the phone… ok great. Worst customer service. They are scammers.

When you get your yearly renewal they take it out month 14 of the membership, on a totally different date from the membership fee. This isn’t even authorized but they do it. It’s non-refundable even though it isn’t authorized for the 1st as my payments were always the 17th. What company takes it out on the 1st anyways?! That’s when people have to pay rent/mortgages. Ridiculous, and no manager till the time I have to be to work. I’m pretty frustrated rightfully so, but was treated like I was stupid for not knowing they can take out money without authorization. I have a feeling this will lead to a lawsuit for them, I’m not continuing this membership.

Despite all the "rules" posted about generally being considerate to others in the gym, the employees do not care about anything other than texting each other and gossiping. Teenagers taking selfies in the locker room while people are changing their clothes. Groups of people loudly chatting on speaker phone and again... taking selfies in front of equipment while blocking equipment for other people.
Pretty disappointing when all you want to do is workout in a respectful environment and be respectful as well, but nobody cares about anything other than dusting equipment every now and then.

I had a membership with Planet fitness for long while and when I was pregnant I was unable to continue going due to being extremely high risk. I continued paying, knowing I would be back after baby. I ended up moving to another state and prior to I called into ask to cancel my membership, I was told I needed to come in. No problem. The gentleman that the front cancelled it quickly. I asked if anything needed to be signed because I had to come in and cancel. I was told no it just needed to be in person, fair enough. I took his word and that it was taken care of. SO I thought. Now I live in Arizona and noticed a payment come out for $25. Which is strange as I was under the impression that my membership was cancelled. I searched my statements to see that Im still being charged.
I have nothing to show for it as nothing was given to me at the time I cancelled. From November to Current I have been charged $175 total and I haven't stepped foot in a planet fitness since I supposedly cancelled my membership in November and I have things at home and a baby. Its hard to get out.

I called and spoke with several front desk staff over the last 3 weeks and left messages for the manager. I spoke with Ari whom I understand is no longer working there and Rachel. I have spoke with Rachel previously and she failed to state she was the higher up manager. I spoke with her a few times and was assure "higher up manger" would give me a call or email. I received no form of neither.

Today I called and Rachel answered and once I said who I was she was already very condescending and before I could explain, Say well I can cancel it for you. Honey, that's not the point. She began to say that those under her management wouldn't do this. I asked how long she's been the manager and its been 1 month. I explained my situation and request for a refund. She instead was nasty and said that she could cancel my membership.

If you need to cancel your membership be sure to get that in writing and a copy. I wouldn't seek any help from Rachel and I do believe that she needs more people training and how to control her attitude first and foremost.

Not my home PF and pleasantly surprised by this one while on the road. Lots of equipment, and I like how they have the abs/stretching area in its own spot to the side unlike a lot of other PFs I’ve been to. The locker rooms were super clean and they have changing rooms which is always nice. The showers have good pressure and were warm/hot temp for a good 20 min shower with half the showers in use on the women’s side. Also like that their shower stalls have a spot to place toiletries while showering as my home PF doesn’t.

Refill the paper towels every once in awhile, I know it's the gym but I'm doing 12 reps of try and find a dispenser with them to wipe my machine down after use.

Bottom of machines are insanely dusty, the employees eat little ceasers pizzas at the register (you deserve to eat while working, but yall need a dang break room. Not employees fault, it's managements) these people at the gym are trying to lose weight/ many are on calorie deficits. The gym should be a reminder of high calorie greasy food.

A plus though is the variety of machines. As a woman there's a lot I can do at this gym. I'm gonna switch to La fitness though

I've been to 3 of the Planet Fitness around town and I'd have to say the Hazel Dell location is probably the cleanest. They always have someone vacuuming or cleaning under the equipment throughout the entire day. The 160th Planet isn't to bad other than its a little on the small side. But I think the Orchards location is probably laid out the best. They just need to get there staff to put down there phones and do there job and they'd be right up there w the Hazel Dell Planet.

This gym is always so dirty and nasty! Im not sure if anything EVER gets clean. Their equipment is cheap and their tanning beds NEVER seem to have the bulbs changed. Also, Im not sure who the night crew is now, but a year or so ago, there was a female employee who liked to troll on married men when their wives were not present. Absolutely appalling!
Do not waste your time here! Thankfully, I was able to cancel my membership as well as my husband's at this gym. Would never recommend this gym to anyone.

This club is a joke. The kids who work here spend the whole time sitting on the counter chatting with each other instead of working. The trashes are always overflowing, the paper towels and spray bottles are empty, there’s a thick layer of dust on everything, the lockers are FILTHY. They treat PAYING members like an inconvenience. It's ridiculous. And the smith machines that explicitly state that they need to be bolted to the floor aren’t. I’ve brought it up to employees multiple times and they do nothing.

The facility is nice on 4th Plain is my favorite layout of all the Vancouver locations. This was a bad review because MGMT was having a tough time hiring good employees that would show up for work. It has been 6 months since I've encountered a closure due to undependable staff. The overnight girls are helpful and the morning crew is good at keeping themselves busy. Seems like mgmt turned this around good job.

The price is good. The gym is clean. Everyone is friendly and it’s usually not too busy.
4 stars because of the 30 min express - no one does it right and it’s never enforced even though the signs say it is. The lights are currently not in sync with each other so even people who want to do it correctly are confused. People sit there on their phones and never switch despite the light turning 10 times.

For the price, this gym is nearly impossible to beat. For that reason alone, I would be likely to recommend this gym to anyone looking for one on a budget. This location has some issues, however.

My biggest issue with this location is that it’s not sensory friendly. The music is always too loud and the speakers are too evenly spread out to hide from it. The ellipticals in particular are very close to the overhead speakers. Noise canceling headphones are a must if this is a concern for you.

There’s also usually something broken. Last time I was in, only one sink had soap and there was one hand dryer out of operation (there are no paper towels). The time before, it was one of the cable machine towers. This isn’t a huge deal though because they have so many machines here I can always find a replacement.

My wallet, keys, and pants were stolen... peculiar thing is something was done to the locker that only an employee or ex-employee would know... had to go back in to talk with someone because it's too much to reach out to a customer that had been stole from. I got the privilege to speak with the regional manager and got his deadpan, "we turned over the video footage to the detective, and the case is closed on our end." No, sorry this happened. We will try and monitor locker rooms better. Nothing... thanks for caring about your customers. Go back to practicing your tiktok moves and having a grand ol time.

Planet Fitness, your community reach out that allows high school kids in for free is an awesome gesture, but really, it just gives them a place to congregate. At machines 4 at a time, IN THE LOCKERROOM. Maybe you're inviting theft, without knowing you are... bring back the security guards.

The associate on the phone told me they were, “Too busy,” to go check a cardio machine where my mom had left her phone at when I called. We had just left from there and no one was in line. I went in there five minutes later, no one is in line. Employees there are lazy and not personable and treat you like your not a human with feelings if you interact further after the greeting and scanning of your badge. They also sought me out on the stair master even after being signed in as a guest on someone’s black card account, interrupting me from the middle of my 30 minute stair workout to pull me off of it and come and ensure that I was in fact scanned in with the member. Spiders were making webs on their card reader. Over charged my mom who has silver and fit program funding in her insurance and made her pay for three months right then and there. Can’t get the money back once paid as they say and she gets a disability check every month. They don’t treat guests like people just another cash in when you walk-in. Great equipment though.

Nice please, gets a lot of hate for no reason. Perfect for beginners, whoever it is quite as going that you cannot have personal trainers. I'm under 18 and they make a big hassle about it, so make sure you bring your parents to sign a waiver.

Always really clean and well lit. Large selection of cardio and weight equipment. Things are rarely ever broken and if they get damaged they’re fixed in a timely manner. Locker room is kept tidy and the showers are power washed weekly it seems like. Tanning beds are also very clean and tidy. Highly recommend.

Can't get a membership because I won't give up my account number. Offered to pay a year in full they said nope.
No thank you, won't be giving you 100% access to all my money for a gym membership. SMH

Inexpensive, clean. It gets the job done. The parking lot and lockers are not safe. Do not bring valuables or wear anything expensive. I’m serious. The petty theft is rampant. Tons of smash grabs. Beware.

Fantastic gym! It would only be better if it had a hot tub pool and sauna/steamroller. Otherwise no other gym can touch them! Even the black card area is gorgeous and well placed. I'm excited for this location to become 24 hours and use them as my primary gym
