In the men's locker room there is a supply fan register right above the toilets. The return air is on the other side of the locker room. Everyone is stuffed full of protein shakes and Tootsie rolls. The smell is putrid. 2 star until they fix their HVAC.

Updated my review from 2 stars to 1 because of their recent hours change. They now close at 7pm on weeknights. Weak. Also the lockers still smell like poop.

Update #3. It's been a couple years since my first review. Nothing has changed. Things have only gone down hill.

I really wouldnt recommend coming to this location if you ever need to use one of the light therapy machines/tanning beds. I looked around the gym for several minutes and even in the bathroom for one employee to get some help. When I finally stepped around the corner near the back of the counter to see if anyone would come out, Samantha appeared and had quite a rude attitude. She made several threats to me which were completely unwarranted and unnecessary. I’ve been at PF for over 6 years and have always had stellar customer service. I asked for her managers name because she said she could ban me for looking behind the counter. There is no door or sign or anything saying its against policy and i was only trying to look for an employee. She then said “no tanning for you then!” She sent me away with a general contact card for pf woodinville when i specifically asked for a mangers contact info. It was a very disrespectful and regrading experience. Pf woodinville- step up your game. Maybe it would help her out to not be the ONLY employee working… she seemed unhappy too. Take better care of the people in your buildings.

I absolutely hate this place. on Google it states children 13 and older can be accompanied by an adult. It doesn’t say anything about younger children. There is also not a sign posted on the outside of the door that says no children under the age of 13 allowed when I talk to customer service, she told me that everybody knows before they go in there because she assumed that everybody read their policy before they entered the building. I get that there’s no daycare, but I also don’t get that children are not even allowed in the building. I also disagree with their cancellation policy. I’ve tried to cancel my membership twice with them and every time it’s an issue I went in today to cancel my membership and I was told that it’s in the middle of the billing cycle so I’ll be charged an extra month regardless of whether I canceled today or not so basically they just steal peoples money and make them pay for a month that they’re not even going to be using the gym I feel this place is a Scam and going to be joining the YMCA, which is a more family friendly membership. I also feel if you do not allow children in your doors then you should have a sign posted on that side of the door that States so especially if that’s in your policy you cannot expect everyone to just know that is your policy because most gyms allow children

I dropped by Planet Fitness in Woodinville and got a very nice and thorough tour of the gym. I was impressed with the professionalism, responsiveness of the person who gave me the tour and the friendliness at the front desk. I was surprised at the variety of exercise equipment too! It was the best tour and atmosphere I’ve ever experienced out of all the gyms I’ve toured and the price was great so I joined! Thank you!

I strongly advise against joining the Planet Fitness in Woodinville, WA, unless you’re okay with being nickel-and-dimed by hidden fees and dealing with dishonest staff. From the moment I signed up, I was hit with random, unexplained charges on my account—fees that were never disclosed upfront. When I called to question these ambiguous charges, I was met with dismissive responses and told, “It’s our policy to not issue refunds for any reason.” No explanation, no accountability, just a robotic recitation of their so-called policy.

The staff’s lack of transparency and unwillingness to address concerns make it clear that this location prioritizes profit over customer care. If you’re fine with being scammed by surprise charges and dealing with a business that hides behind vague policies, then this gym might be for you. Otherwise, save your money and sanity—there are far better fitness options out there that don’t rely on shady practices.

You guys are a total scam! I haven't been to your gym in over three years I got a membership to tan in the tanning beds and used my membership maybe 5 times ever. Three years ago When I moved out of the state of Washington there weren't any Planet Fitness locations no where near me so I never was able to use your gym and so I stopped paying my membership months passed and I noticed you were trying to charge my bank account still. I called to cancel my membership over the phone since I'm so far away and I was told I had to pay for all those months and the late fees before I could cancel my membership! Since I couldn't afford to do that I've been paying planet fitness every month for the past three years 27$ and a 20$ late fee! Not by choice though. Somehow they are able to take funds from my account every month with my card locked. I've blocked them even and they still get through! I called and spoke to the manager named Matt this morning and he was rude and did nothing to help me. However i was able to cancel my membership with a remaining balance of course! Those 5 tans cost me near sixteen hundred dollars!

After loving the Woodinville Planet Fitness all these years, I have decided to cancel my membership. I feel like the quality of service has been declining in this location. Let me share two recent instances:

1. I've been in a pretty lucrative $10 classic plan for the last couple of years, and I wanted to upgrade to the Black Card. So I went to the front desk to ask if there is a similar Black Card plan. The attendant just blurted out in a very demeaning manner - "you should just stay in this plan" without looking at options or offering a second sentence!

2. I brought in my son along to wait in the front area, where I've seen other kids hang out. I asked a staff the first time if it’s OK. The next day, a different person in the front blurted out very rudely, waving his hands - “are you just going to leave him there?”. I use the treadmill in the corner, where he’s always in my direct view. But yes, I can appreciate that it's a liability thing and not allowed, but he could've just handled it much better!

I'm not waiting for more of such behavior - there are tons of Gyms around here, without the attitude!

On June 11th I received emails stating that I was behind on a payment with you. Why? I don't understand why, since I canceled my membership over two years ago, a membership I never used because your gyms are crap! I went and paid approximately $300 to cancel the membership again, only to have to pay for the current month! Now! I'm receiving emails stating that they're still charging me..? Really..? This is fraud! I demand that you stop charging me for something I've already canceled twice! I'll be attaching the last cancellation receipt! Sometime I might hesitate or avoid going to the gym for a variety of reasons. Like time or distance to drive but my biggest reason is motivation. That changes when I walk into the facility, especially thanks to two individuals who are always upbeat, cheerful and sending off great vibes to get me started. Great gym only thing is their red light treatment is tied to the tanning so if I want just the red light treatment I have to go to Woodenville another 30 min plus 10 it takes me to get to Monroe from Sultan. But the gym its self is excellent.

I am a black card. Member and I was denied access to the red light Booth, according to the front desk associate with the mustache, he said I was required to wear. I wear into the booth. I've been to multiple Planet Fitness across the United States and none of them have required by rule that I wear eyewear . I am a black card member and a military veteran and this denial was just disgusting and caused me stress on this day. I can see why the rating is so low at this facility. Planet Fitness do better.

Used to love going here until the day I walked into the spa area & smelled pot as I heard a young lady choking up coughing. I promptly went to the manager & reported it as any other member would have. He & I returned to the spa area. I laid down on a massage lounge & heard his conversation with the young lady. She was clearly lying, so I got up and stated what I witnessed. The situation was handled very poorly. The manger, Matt, informed me that he had to make a "strike" on my account for "member altercation". I was absolutely astounded. I asked to speak to him on the side & explained to him that I felt like a criminal & felt humiliated. He wouldn't budge deleting the note on my account. I asked him if someone saw someone doing something wrong if they're not supposed to say anything. Using weed at the gym is wrong. It's supposed to be a healthy place. I didn't appreciate walking into the spa room smelling the stinch. I even saw fumes in the air. He seemed to be on a power trip with the wrong person and babied the girl. I have been back maybe 2x since, because I feel so uncomfortable, not only for my safety, but afraid he'll write me up on anything. He literally argued that it wasn't her & was trying to blame it on another member that comes in usually smelling like weed. Unreal. On a side note, the gym also isn't being kept up. Most of the employees hang out goofing off up at the front desk as the there's plenty maintenance that needs done. For instance, the filthy machines, empty cleaning stations, & member interaction on the floor. I can not wait for the new Bothell location to be open so I can have a fresh start in a "judgment free" zone.

Update: No response from PF regarding this situation as they have responded to all the other reviews. Due to this, I will be quitting & joining a different gym.

I wish I could give this place a 0 star rating. TERRIBLE ….. I MEAN TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. They dont really care about their customers.

I just moved to California and I requested their team to transfer my membership to a California location. They refused to do so. There was billing issue due to my address being different and its only been a couple days this happened and they want me to pay the extra fee because there was a different address in their billing system. Neither the team nor the manager was even willing to try to help.

I tried escalating the call to the location manager - Matthew and I wasn’t surprised why this location is so crappy. There was 0 empathy and 0 effort from him to even understand the situation. He just said a single word…. “No”. That was rude. Its the terrible managing style. I requested to escalate the call to Mathew’s supervisor because honestly I want the higher management to know how terrible the manager and the location is. And he refused to connect me to his supervisor. As I said, the manager is least bothered. They just need a slightest reason to steal your money and its never coming back. Plus, you get to be treated rude. Good job guys. Great management.

Overall my experience has been pretty good within the past 2 years of being a member. I am a beginner and started my fitness journey with planet fitness located in Bel-Red road last month. It has plenty of equipments for cardio, abs specific exercises, weights and enough space to accomodate as good as 60 -80 members at a time (without too much of chaos). Plenty of lockers available. Massage chairs, tanning beds and hydro massage beds are available for black card members (It is good to opt this membership; including the above said facilities you are allowed to get one guest member to the gym everyday and you can visit other branches as well).
If you are looking for instructors this gym is not the ideal one as there are none.

I usually work out at the Lake Forest Park location but since I had a Black membership and the location is about the same distance from my home, I thought I'd check it out. It seems a little larger and the machines are newer than at Lake Forest Park. There is plenty of parking. Staff is friendly. There are signs for social distancing. They mark which stations are not in use. I definitely like the expanded hours at this location. Seems well maintained and very clean. May change from Lake Forest Park and switch to Woodinville.

I asked if I could make the payment afterward since I didn’t have my wallet or a payment option on my phone, but they refused. They also declined to allow my partner to scan me in as a guest. I live in California and need to transfer my club membership but I can't get any help, I want to transfer online so I can use google translate. Beware: Locked in for life
I have been trying to get my membership switched for weeks now, not even cancelled just switched and the manager is always mysteriously gone whenever I try to reach them. After multiple attempts I was finally able to get through to him and then he straight up refused to help because I could do it online later. Im not able to do it online yet but because I could soon he didn't want to help. I finally just had to do a chargeback with my bank to get out of the membership and switch it. Unless you are willing to give this gym the same commitment you would a marriage then I would stay away.

This place is terrible. I went to go get a membership and before ever signing they told me that if I canceled before the 17th I would be able to cancel with no charge. This was a complete lie. I was charged and billed and when I called before the 17th the manager told me there was nothing I could do. He was un-understanding and generally a terrible experience.

I went in person October to ask to freeze my account. The conversation went by the worker asking me the reason and how long would I like to freeze account. I told him I’m doing a year membership for Pilates and would like to freeze it for a year. He said he can’t do a year and can only do 3 months. And then suggested me coming back on the third month to refreeze it, and to continue refreezing it. And I agreed to do that and told him to go ahead and freeze it for 3 months. He told me it’ll start November and to come back in January to re freeze it. I recently looked at my bank statements and saw I got charged for December. I checked the document they sent and saw that he made a mistake of putting 1 month down instead of 3. I should have checked the document right away which is my bad. But I made a call to planet fitness explaining all of this and asking to get it fixed. The general manager, Matt, bluntly told me that he can’t do anything since there’s no documentation of my conversation with the worker (they brought up that he had quit). I understand I should’ve made sure the documentation was correct, and I also understand that people make mistakes. But Matt didn’t care to fix the mistake nor did he even apologize. He didn’t even try to do anything, just straight up told me he can’t do anything to help me out. So I went in person to cancel my membership which is something I didn’t want to do. I was planning on coming back when my Pilates membership ended but now I feel like I can’t because of this experience. Turns out I’m still going to be charged for January because of their billing period. I shouldn’t even have been charged December and January if it had been documented correctly. I have now lost $50 over a mistake that I was very hopeful of getting fixed, especially since I’ve been a black card member since September 2019. I’ve had no problems nor complaints about this place other than a lot of their machines always being down.

I like this location despite the Country music in the morning. Locker room needs more cleaning, (Not at the time people need to shower for work) but that timing seems to have improved. I recently stopped by to transfer my membership to the newly opened Bothell location, (MUCH closer to my home) and I was told if I transfer, I can never return to this location despite my Black Card membership stating otherwise. So when it comes to machines and weights this might not be for everyone, especially if you want to go higher in weights. It can get pretty busy in there and it is hard to find your routine and you have to wait or do an alternate exercise. But what I can say regarding cleanliness this gym deserves a 5 star rating. All equipment is very clean. I have seen them wiping on top of machines or tilting them to get below them to get all the dirt/dust. Wipes are always available or you just ask and it is done in a very short time. Staff has always been very friendly and helpful. Way to go team. Again Planet Fitness is not for serious gym rats, but a good alternative if nothing else is around. For the average person this is the way to go and you will get results!

I've been going to PF Woodinville for about a year now. It's convenient because it's 10 minutes from my house. Nothing special at this gym. The staffs are always friendly. I stopped going to this location recently because of a few machines were out of order for weeks (Leg Press machine was out of order for weeks and they only had 1 left to use). The area for stretch is very small, it it's busy the room can fit only 4-5 people. One thing that gross me out the most was the ladies bathroom, I used one of the lady shower room and there were plenty of hair on the floor and the wall. Worst than that was, the mold behind the shower curtain was very gross. I was so gross out so I left without taking a shower. This is a gym that people use everyday, they need to clean the bathroom, shower room often. some people can be allergic to the mold. I'm a black card holder and I choose to drive to other location for a better machine and cleaner bathroom.

Just signed up for a membership, went in not feeling my best - offered my Enhanced Driver’s License when I scanned my Black Card, told them I’d take the picture after my workout and shower when I felt a little less like crap. They refused to let me in. Absolutely ridiculous that I am in an insecure place and feel like shit about myself today and they can’t let you in with a drivers license. I should never have to explain that I signed up on my period, where my body dysmorphia acts up. I offered to take a photo after the workout because the endorphins temporarily make me feel a lot better about myself.

Update: Inside the Lake Forest Park location! They let me in and said they heard a lot of shit about Woodinville running things incorrectly. Super friendly :)
Would transfer my home gym here but I have to be a member for 3 months before I can I believe, which sucks cause I didn’t know the Woodinville people sucked before signing up.

Response to owner: Hi! If I come in again it will be when I’m ready to take a picture. I have already felt rejected, excluded and judged by the staff at your location, and in a moment I really needed a shred of empathy in a “judgement free zone”. Can’t undo that. Dishonest staff- was told an incorrect date by which to cancel before the annual fee would be charged. Came in a week prior to the date they gave me to cancel and was told I was a day late and they couldn’t help me because it was “locked into the system” so there goes $50!

The manager would not back my husband when he sat down on a vacant machine and three teenagers came from 12 feet away gazing at their phone to claim the machine with only 10 minutes to closing. Looks like anyone can come from anywhere in the gym and kick some one off said machine. The manager caved to the teens and kicked my husband off the equipment after he asked her to intervene. I hope the three can all get their workout in on one piece of equipment in only 9 minutes. We have been going there for years and will never go back.

Generally a nice gym. The staff is kind and attentive. It’s affordable. What more could I want? Welllll- some comments:

There has been a broken cable machine for about 3-4 weeks now which can be inconvenient during peak times.

I imagine it gets deep cleaned at some point but I have not seen a dedicated cleaning crew with frequent cleaning/sweeping like I’ve seen at other Planet Fitness.

The water fountains could use more regular wipe downs. Last few times I checked there was a pinkish dirt around the basin and faucet.

Front desk staff is friendly. I workout here a couple days a week and enjoy it. The machines are in good order and there is enough of most stuff you don't have to wait long. 2 things I'd add: I wish there was a regular bench press and I wish the stretching area was bigger. Came in around 5am today. Front desk person was really nice. Clean workout zones. Locker room was not clean. Used pad on the changing stall floor. Showers need a good deep clean. The water in the second shower stall from the right had only lukewarm water.

It's your average Planet Fitness in the sense that it has a ton of cardio and the basics for weights. No super fancy equipment unless you count smith machines. It can get full in the afternoon, but mornings usually have the "I just need to get in and out" crowd. Always seems clean to me as well, and I've seen staff going through and cleaning here and there. There are no classes I have seen here, and I have seen nothing about training except for "No trainers." If there's something for both of those then they could be communicated.

it’s a fine gym, but i specifically signed up to a planet fitness because i like working out during the late hours and they used to be open 24 hour. now on the weekends they close at 7 pm. i’m sure it’s still a good gym but the change in hours is really frustrating for night owls. hoping it’s just temporary, or when the one is monroe opens the hours go a little later.

Don’t advertise as month to month and then when I want to cancel try to hook me for a cancellation fee. “12 month contract” because I signed up during a promotion.

No. Don’t play that game.

First off I wasn’t informed of any type of promotion when I upgraded to black card status. I also payed the normal price. Next time I go to a restaurant and get a glass of water they can say

“Here is some ice as part of a promotion we have” 👍🏼

If you want to nickel and dime clients at least be upfront about it.

I definitely won’t be returning when I do another gym membership because of the bad taste this put in my mouth.

(Reason for canceling is because I travel alot for work including out of the country and it doesn’t make sense to keep the cost going every month.)

I was using planet fitness for 3+ years and only recently (maybe 3-4 months ago) upgraded to black. It’s not even the month that’s upsetting. It’s the principle of the matter.

Gym has newer machines and is very clean, however staff is often rude & difficult to deal with regarding billing or any account changes. Every other planet fitness I’ve been to will let you come in if you are a few days overdue on a payment, if you are even 1 minute overdue they will become borderline hostile and tell you to leave. I tried to pay at the counter and they told me to step out of the gym and come back when I’d handled it myself on the app that does not allow you to use your saved payment options for a one-time charge. If they weren’t the only 24-hour location in my area I’d likely never return.

As I’ve learned more about Planet Fitness, it is a standard Planet Fitness.

It only has Smith Machines. Not Squat racks or Benches. Additionally, the Dumbbells only go to 75. If you are really into free weights this is NOT the place to go.

I wouldn’t recommend signing up with planet fitness!! I moved and don’t live local to a planet fitness anymore. I wanted to cancel my membership over the phone and they wouldn’t allow me they told me I needed to go in to my “ home gym “ and write a letter to cancel. I quite literally can’t go to my home gym to cancel in person so now I’m stuck paying for a membership I can’t even use!!

Update: I mailed in my cancellation letter like the customer service said to do and they still haven’t canceled my membership and still are charging me seriously don’t recommend getting a membership with them!!!!

I have been going to this gym for almost a year and each time I have had my purse with me. Never once has an employee said anything to me about this. Today, I was interrupted midstride on the treadmill by someone coming to tell me that I can't have my purse with me. He literally made me stop my workout and my choices were either to put my purse in locker with a lock I didn't have, or leave. I tried to explain that no one had ever told me that, but he couldn't have been less interested. He cited policy, which literally says no bags on the floor. Not no bags on your person. This discussion was confrontational and unprofessional, and now I feel completely unwelcome in this environment.

To start this off i’ve been going here since the location opened a few years back. It’s gone downhill in the last year, there are never paper towels which makes it a chore to find some when you want to wipe down equipment after usage. Front desk staff straight blows they might as well not even be there, I love how they steal a chair from the lobby to sit behind to counter…never been in a place where that’s acceptable. To pile onto that I get greeted about half the time which is fine I guess I wouldn’t want to inconvenience the girl behind the counter on chilling on her phone. Not to be petty but when I scan my tag at the “Black Card Lounge” or whatever it is often times said “employees” kinda just mosey around and eventually make it to the computer and most times are just unpleasant. Along with mold in the showers and stuff being worn out, in a word pretty lame.
