Signed up for the intro free class, and received more than 6 phone calls & 10+ texts asking for me to call them for class instructions, & harassing me to share more about my health journey… I asked to be removed multiple times before I had to block the number(s). Not normal for a first class signup. Bummed to cancel but horrible intro experience.

Pure Barre is such a supportive and loving community anywhere you go, but this especially applies to the Green Lake studio. Working at the studio is such a fun experience and allows you to make new friends who all love barre. It is such a cozy space and the best part of my days. Not to mention it is the best workout, and our teachers make the best playlists for class. If you get a chance to try us out, you just might get addicted 🥰🤩

I’ve been a Pure Barre teacher for over 15 years, and have taught across many studios in Seattle, as well as Washington D.C.—and nothing quite compares to the Green Lake studio. The location is unbeatable with cozy coffee shops, a co-op, lunch spots, and the lake just feet from the studio doors. The space itself is full of plants, cute retail, and most importantly the best community! Our owner, managers and teachers are top tier and clearly treat the space as a happy place. This PB studio is special.♥️

Joining Pure Barre has been one of the best decisions I’ve made! From the moment I walked into the studio, I felt welcomed and supported—the sense of community here is honestly amazing. The instructors are super encouraging, the playlists are always great, and every class leaves me feeling stronger, more grounded, and excited to come back.Pure Barre has brought back my love for working out. I didn’t realize how much I missed moving my body in a way that feels good, challenging, and enjoyable all at once. It’s more than just a workout— I leave feeling mentally stronger and physically challenged. I highly recommend that everyone check it out! I am feeling muscles I didn't even know existed.

I really enjoy the studio! The front desk and instructors are all very welcoming regardless of your skill level. I’ve always struggled with committing to gyms and stuff as most of them have felt stuffy, unwelcoming, and elitist, and I’ve always felt nervous asking questions, but that’s not the case here. For the first time ever I’m exercising multiple times per week. So fun!

I love coming here so much. Frances is absolutely amazing, her energy keeps me going even through some of the hard parts in class, all the girls here are so good at what they do! Even when I really don’t feel in the mood to work out, I find after class is done that I feel happier, and the time flies by.

I love the classes at this location. Instructors are great, consistency in any class I take with excellent feedback on form throughout the class. The space is great and everyone has been friendly. Most importantly, I can tell the difference in my core strength even when I started at just 1 class per week! Got better with more.

PureBarre Greenlake has become my home away from home!! There's a pretty big crew of instructors but every single one is so knowledgeable and kind. They encourage you in each workout but are never pushy, they let you go at your own pace. It's obvious that the owner, Maya, really cares about both the quality of the classes and building the community - there are so many different events, themed classes, and even a book club! Everyone is all in on making it a fun and supportive place. I've never experienced that at a gym before. Could not recommend it more, it is truly special ❤️

Pure Barre WA is such a special place to me. I originally came to Pure Barre for a workout but ended up making the closest friends at the Green Lake and University studios. They now feel like second homes to me!

The workout is truly second to none. It kicks my butt every time and yet it's fun?!?! I didn't know that was even a possibility. I feel so supported by the PBWA team in each class I take. It's amazing how modifiable every class is, regardless of the class format (they have 5!!!) to make it feel good and doable on my body. I will be a forever member here <3 They are the best!

I’ve been going to Pure barre for years and it is my all-time favorite group exercise! The Greenlake studio is the BEST. Maya, the owner, is so warm and welcoming (and teaches a class that will have you burning in muscles you didn’t know you had). All the instructors are so friendly, they get to know you, and it’s like a little family, not to mention such a good workout. I always look forward to my workouts because I leave in the best mood. Highly recommend checking out this studio!

I’ve had a great experience at this studio! The gals at the front always welcome you with a warm smile and I love how personable and sweet the instructors are. At first I was hesitant about doing staring Pilates because I had never done it before. But pure barre green lake and pure barre university have made it intimidating or difficult at all for myself.

I've attended the Greenlake studio for a little over a year now. Attending classes is definitely my favorite part of the week and something I always look forward to (even those early AM classes).

Instructors are great! I appreciate how encouraging they are in class, especially since some moves can be quite challenging.

The Green Lake studio is by far my favorite studio in Seattle! All of the instructors are extremely encouraging and make a point to learn your name which helps build a strong community and welcoming atmosphere. My favorite classes are the classic and the empower; I have yet to try the define, but that is next on my list! The classes are very challenging, but I have felt myself significantly improving over the last 6 months that I have been taking Pure Barre classes. I have noticed that I am able to make it through the classic classes without taking many breaks, but when I do take breaks I never feel judged or embarrassed. During the classes the instructors may assist you with your posture and movements to ensure that you are getting the best possible workout and are targeting the correct muscle groups. I am glad that Pure Barre has multiple locations to allow for more people to experience their intensive workouts! I am excited to continue taking Pure Barre classes as long as I am in Seattle and I am curious to see what additional classes they will teach in the future!

I have been attending Pure Barre classes at both the University location and Green Lake location for a few years now and love it! It’s a great community, very welcoming of all body types and fitness levels, and they offer such a variety of classes so you never get bored. The different class formats allow you to challenge yourself in different ways, get in a low key workout here and there, etc without needing multiple memberships. This is a tough workout, but if you’re consistent you will see results in your fitness level encouragingly quickly :)

Oh Pure Barre, where do I start?! I’ve always been the person who said why would I pay to workout when I can do it at home?! Sure, it’s not cheap but if you’re like me and don’t actually have the motivation to work out at home consistently, you will be saved (as I have been)! It might “look” like an easy workout but oh it burns so good. The instructors are phenomenal, upbeat and encouraging - always making sure your form is on point and giving tips to make sure you can get the most out of it! + the music is fun and lively! Within a few weeks to a month of going regularly, I noticed improved core strength/posture, toning all over and a better overall attitude in myself. :) 10/10 recommend from me!

The classes are fun and the instructors are great. But the are not honest and you front with you when you try and freeze an account. I froze my account and was told I would receive email reminders (all of this I had in emails that I kept). I didn’t receive any reminders and then was suddenly charged for it months later. I contacted the manager and explained I didn’t receive emails or an email stating how long the freeze was for. But despite my proof via email and her admitting they didn’t send a reminder, their response was “we don’t do refunds” and you have to “cancel 30 days in advance”. How would I cancel in advance if I never knew when it would unfreeze? Of course I should of been paying more attention to the timing but I had broken my foot and was preoccupied with the healing process so I didn’t keep track. And I assumed I would receive email reminders. So of course I wouldn’t of cancelled 30 days in advance!

Great classes. Great instructors. Poor communication and dishonesty ruin it though.

I still encourage you to join if you like exercising but make sure you keep an eye on your membership because they don’t give refunds even if it is there mistake.

Have you ever hated something so much that you love it? That's how I feel about barre! I'm fairly new to Pure Barre and barre in general but it's nice to tune out of the world for 50 minutes out of my day. I truly have no time to think about my stressors in life when I'm in a class which is a godsend. The boutique is clean, the classes are challenging and they have a great selection of clothing options. I have the unlimited membership and have taken 3 classes so far and have my 4th scheduled for tomorrow.

I love it! It is ballet inspired class, but actually you do strength exercises and work all your body. They have like 4 types of classes. You can realize that's hard when you start to feel your legs shaking and that's ok... it totally worths it. The instructors are very kind and they always supervise that you get the technique right 👍

"Pure Barre" was a Pure Barfe of an experience. First off, the smell. Oh god the smell. I couldn't focus on stretching out my ham strings because I was too focused on clenching my nostrils. Second, NO parking provided for tenants. Who the hell doesn't have a parking lot? What am I supposed to do, hop skip and jump over to the dance studio? And the music is selectively soft rock and bottom 40 type hits seemingly played over an AM radio. Just don't.

The instructors provided great workouts and the facility is clean and inviting. BUT, customer service could use improvement. When I signed up for the 1-month trial with their front desk, the employee let me know that despite their policy stating that I needed to cancel one month in advance, I should not worry about meeting the timeline because they would be flexible. Well, I tried to cancel a couple weeks before my trial end date but they did not honor their word. I let them know about what the front desk employee had told me but they responded with their policy and did not acknowledge what the employee said. It left a bad taste in my mouth and will not be returning unfortunately.

Fantastic instructor... I was definitely shaking (as is the goal of barre). Super cute location. They even had some Christmas decor up. I like the routine on pure barre, but how you can challenge yourself more in each movement. But, over time, routine is also what causes me to start to lose interest as well. I did this class through ClassPass, and I will continue to keep it as an option in the rotation! Oh, and free 90 parking at Bartells across the street!
