About the Club

President & Founder of Roundbox Fitness, Curt Ligot, began his work in the fitness industry in 1999. His clientele has included adolescents, professionals, elite athletes, and senior citizens. Striving to deliver the best possible results, Curt collaborated with his clients’ physical therapists, chiropractors, and coaches and saw the glaring disconnect between fitness, athletics, and longevity.

Although client workouts looked great on paper, Curt found they were not helping in a holistic and comprehensive manner. Focusing solely on strength and conditioning didn’t address the clients’ aches and pains, and strict attention to recovery and injuries wasn’t enough for fitness and athleticism to flourish.

I'm a combat sports athlete (jiu jitsu and kick boxing). I started working with Curt a few months ago, and I can't speak highly enough about his methods! I have noticed considerable adaptations in my shoulder and core strength and stability! Not only that, but Curt is just an awesome guy to let loose with. I'll put in an hour of solid work, and it's felt effortless just because of the fun we have! Great system! Great environment! And most of all, a great trainer!

I have been working with Roundbox for a few years now. I have struggled with back issues, foot and ankle issues and vestibular issues. Curt is able to create workouts that allow me to still get fit without making any of my ailments worse. In fact his method has helped improve my issues. My body feels and looks so much better since I have worked with him. My new favorite piece of equipment are the Coreblade Lights. They don’t look like much but I get lots of intense cardio using them as well as when I use them every tiny muscle in my back and abs are sore so they are really effective! I bought a set for my house after the first workout with them! They are also super light and compact so can take them anywhere traveling or easy to store at home.

As a fitness professional myself, I know quality in this industry when I see it. Curt, the owner of Roundbox, has really opened my eyes up to several unique alternative methods of driving fitness progress in very safe & effective ways.

Curt’s Roundbox is such a terrific place to work towards your fitness goals. Curt listens to what you want to accomplish, works with any injuries you might have to get results. It’s not a traditional gym but there’s a very inviting, welcoming vibe. I appreciated Curt working with my schedule for workouts. Results come fast and I’m never nervous about hurting myself. Curt’s there offering his expertise and training eye. I like to try different gyms and fitness classes but Roundbox is the real deal for results and a solid challenge.

I started working with Curt Ligot after spraining both of my wrists and one ankle. He has been very supportive and always adjusts the exercises based on how I am feeling. It has been several months, and my injuries have healed. My doctor and chiropractor have said they are fine, and my exercises - like pushups - indicate that as well. Curt is amazing, and I am so happy and appreciate that he took me on and helped rehabilitate my injuries. I would highly recommend anyone going to Roundbox Fitness and Curt!

Roundbox Fitness is simply AMAZING! Easily one of the best decisions I've made was quitting my old gym and joining the Roundbox movement. I have been going to RoundBox for about 3 months now and I look forward to every session. Never I have I ever said "I looked forward to going to the gym", but Roundox is not your typical gym and that is why it works for me. Curt is a fantastic and a highly skilled personal trainer. Coming back from injury can be dicey, particularly with concussion and whiplash, which is part of my recovery story from a rear ender last April. I can’t count how many times I’ve come out of a physical therapy appointment disappointed and bored. Like, okay I’m going to do these repetitive exercises how many times a day? Ugh. Considering the options to get back to my joy—jogging and bouldering—I found yoga to be unwieldy and, no shocker that shaking my noggin around the track wasn't going to be a smart choice.

Through a friend I discovered Ligot Training Systems (LTS), a small start up in the Beacon Hill district of Seattle. After the first session I was hooked. Low impact? A workout you didn’t know was happening until day two (Hello? That muscle you forgot about. Surprise! Core strength rebound!).

After several sessions I marveled to notice improved overall stability and specific core strength. LTS serves to address a part of the healing process that I feel is often overlooked or mis-prescribed (that tentative period where re-injuries happen because you haven’t been a good PT patient). Longtime athletic trainer, Curt Ligot, has his finger on the pulse, taking health and fitness to a new place. LTS is total body/mind engagement—strengthening, anchoring, flowing, activating—all at the same time. High fives Curt!

When I started working out with Curt I was considering retiring from playing sports, in particular softball. I had torn my ACL and my knee and quads were very weak, I was gaining weight at a rapid pace due to been inactive because of the pain. My first workout was eye opening! At first glance it looked too unconventional, see I've been going to big name gyms and getting little results but, I was impressed with his approach to my particular physical issues. I was hooked, not only is it effective it's also a lot of fun. I lost 25 lbs and not only do I continue to play softball I'm playing better than ever, my knees and quads are in great shape and my entire body is transformed as well. Don't knock it until you try it, Curt's training method it's LEGIT!!

Working out with Curt is the first time I've ever felt comfortable in a gym. And he makes it fun! The atmosphere is so supportive. The gym is innovative and it has been so great to watch Curt create such an inspiring place for people to get healthy and strong. And he really spends the time and energy to get to know his clients. Curt's been training me for about a year and a half. I've been consistently going twice a week. He has definitely helped me with my strength which was nonexistent prior to coming to him as well as getting my body as limber as possible. I was always afraid to lift weights because I dislocated my left elbow about 8 years ago and did not get physical therapy for it at all. My left arm doesn't do what my right arm does because of the injury and it was quite weak. I was scared to feel pain or re-injure it. Curt has trained me to where I am strong enough to carry cases of water, multiple bags of groceries, and about 40-50lb suitcase up and down stairs racing to catch a subway and train in NYC with no pain and much ease. I'm only 4'9 so carrying large items had been challenging in the past.

One of the best things my body loves about his program is the stretching portion. THE BEST THING EVER!!! Curt and his training is great and highly recommended!!!!!!

I've been with this program for about a month now and I've seen and felt great results in that short amount of time. If you are looking for a no nonsense, high intensity, overall strength and conditioning type of workout this is where you get it. It's pretty much the opposite of push-ups, treadmills, and, pausing to adjust weights. These workouts will make you sore in muscles you didn't know you had.

I recently moved up to the PNW for a job as a firefighter and was looking for a gym. I tried boxing gyms, cross fit gyms, personal trainers, but nothing felt right. After a shoulder injury, I wanted a great workout without compromising the injury further. That's when I met Curt, we spoke about the injury and he has been able to keep me fit all while bullet proofing my shoulder and I'm in better shape than I could've imagined. If you've ever had an injury that you were worried would hinder your fitness come in and talk with their team.

The atmosphere here is second to none. Small groups that are very supportive of each other and a great sense of community. I've seen people with all kinds of different fitness levels and backgrounds in there and the workouts are customized to whichever level your body is at. Come check them out if you are tired of reading about fitness and want to do something about it!

I first came to Curt with a bad hamstring injury, I was in constant pain and discomfort. After a few weeks of training I was relatively pain free and had gotten gotten my full range of motion back. Curt is an amazing instructor. He really knows what he's talking about, when it comes to how the body should perform. His program emphasizes strength training through core movement, and as a martial arts instructor and avid golfer, I can't speak highly enough on how much training with him has helped me in both areas. I can throw better strikes and kicks without any pain, and I even added 20 yards to my drives. Curt and Jared are nothing short of amazing. The programs that they tailor to their clients (both on-site and remotely) are full-body engaging tune-ups. You can even gain dietary advice and develop better habit in that arena as well. Just what the doctor ordered! It's great to experience a routine where you can push yourself as hard as you like, or are capable of, all while the routines' specifics evolve over time and continue to up your game.
