Love Nikki and Row House! I don’t love working out but I actually look forward to going to these classes. She makes them fun, and taking the strength classes has really showed me the importance of strength training and how good your body can feel when you’re strong.

I’ve lost ~50 pounds since joining row house. I also started a GLP1 about a year ago, so I’m not going to hide that factor too. But the fact that I’ve gained muscle while on my medication is all because of Nikki/Row House.

My friends actually get annoyed when I turn down plans because it overlaps with my workout schedule, they can’t understand why I’d choose that over a social event. I genuinely feel off if I miss a class in my routine. I recommend it to everyone I know!

Rowhouse is an absolutely fantastic workout especially for those of us with creaky knees. The low impact and the added weight lifting routines are everything I need to feel good about myself and exactly what my body needs.

Great classes ran by great instructors - they’re very knowledgeable with rowing as most are former competitive outdoor rowers. I know I’m getting a good workout with them in a fun environment.

Started in January as a new year's resolution to exercise regularly, and it's been a great 6 months rowing with the staffs at the Row House SLU! Just reached 250k milestone today.
There are many coaches with their own styles, all very kind and helpful. All the staffs are very welcoming, and makes the place feel a lot more like a community rather than a business. Would highly recommend!

I have been to this gym since 2022 (and am lucky enough to have gotten a soft founders unlimited membership when ownership switched to former head coach Niki) and I’ve been so consistently impressed with Row House SLU! Niki Michelle and Stacy are my favorite coaches to attend classes with. Their classes are so high energy, have killer music that prevents you from being bored, and the coaches really take the time out to give you personalized consistent advice on rowing/exercise form if you ask. Row House SLU has one of the best approaches to membership and membership freezes I’ve ever seen in a gym - if you’ve been burned by Orangetheory or Crossfit other greedy gyms, you’ll know that finding a gym that accepts that emergencies/life happens and doesn’t punish you for it, is a Godsend. As for the studio, even on a hot day or a full class the erg room is kept as well ventilated and cool as possible (in contrast to the West Seattle Row House which is always hot). I always looked forward to classes here and leave a class feeling energized and ready to tackle the day.

Nothing but great things to say💖 Coaches and front desk anre all the sweetest and most welcoming I’ve met in Seattle! Had a great class, may have preferred a bit more movement, but it’s a low intensity workout so that’s on me. Also I would suggest to the business to add a hook or two to the bathroom wall somewhere, so that changing is easier for members/guests. Regardless, really great sweat and really great experience

I started at Row House SLU August 2024 on a whim to try something new and have been coming at least once a week ever since! This has been such a wonderful experience for me in my journey to move my body and stay active. I love the self motivation coach Nikki gives, technical training from coach Keegan, and coach Helen has the best music! All the coaches are unique in their own way, and all make you feel included and motivated to do whatever your goal was walking into class. The front desk staff is always welcoming as well. I also love the specialty events that this studio does.

Rowhouse is a fantastic full-body workout that’s both low-impact and highly effective. The coaches are well-rounded, each with their own unique style, ensuring there’s something for everyone. Once you find your rhythm, you leave class feeling strong and accomplished. The owner, Niki, has cultivated a fun, welcoming, and open studio environment that makes showing up each week something to truly look forward to!

You could call it a fitness studio but it's a family.
After the pandemic took me out of everything, I wandered into Row House SLU just to see what it was. I signed up for more info and was super non-committal about trying it out (there was always an excuse). Had it not been for the warm and gentle persistence of the GM at the time, I probably never would have actually gone back.
As soon as I tried my first class, I was hooked. Think spin but on rowing ergs. The positivity and inclusion is in every square inch. I signed up for 4 classes a month, quickly switching to 8 classes and even more quickly switching to an unlimited membership.
The app is easy to use and allows you to track your progress and compete with yourself. The coaches are phenomenal and have your back at every turn. The owner is kind and funny and filled with the knowledge and encouragement everyone, even the most seasoned rower, needs. The other crew members (rowers) are equally as positive and kind. It's impossible to not make friends and have some laughs while getting a full body workout in.
You could call it a fitness studio - but it's a family.

I have been a member at Row House for two years and I can’t imagine not going. There is no other work out like a Row House work out! Plus it’s a woman owned business and Niki always makes me feel right at home. She also is an amazing coach and knows her fitness!!! The music and the guidance from the coach makes for a fun full body work out! Go check it out!!

Constantly spam calls from them just because I said I was interested online. They didn't stop calling me until I had asked them to stop. How desperate does a gym need to be to keep calling you and never leave a voicemail either.

Had my first trial class at Row House, and it was an amazing experience! The team made me feel super comfortable from the start, and I’ll definitely be coming back for more sessions. Keegan was a fantastic trainer, guiding me through techniques with great attention to detail. Big thanks to Becca for taking the time to introduce me to the first course—her warm welcome made all the difference. Highly recommend for anyone looking to try rowing!

I was visiting Seattle for my daughter’s week-long soccer tournament and needed a place to work out. I love rowing on my Peloton, so I first searched for a location that offered rowing. As fortune would have it, there was a RowHouse (which I’d never heard of before this trip) near our hotel. The signup process to take a class was extremely streamlined and user-friendly, which is always a plus. When I arrived at class, the owner, Niki, welcomed me in, inquired about my past rowing experience, and introduced me to the row instructor for the day, Keegan. I had such a great class that I signed up for three additional classes, one of which was my third anniversary of getting sober. Maya, the coach that day, was enthusiastic and supportive of my accomplishments and even made a sign to congratulate me during class. Even though I have a Peloton Row at home, I’ll be sure to look up the local RowHouse to refer others looking for a great rowing workout. If you’re in the South Lake Union area of Seattle, give this RowHouse a try, you won’t regret it!

I love coming to Row House! I've been coming to RH SLU since 2019 as a way to improve my rowing while working out at Orange Theory. The community of members is so friendly and welcoming. The coaches are amazing! They are knowledgeable and they do a great job of leading the class through a great workout. The coaches all have their own styles and make the classes fun. It's great that there are variety of classes to chose from. If you have been thinking about trying out a Row House class definitely do it!

Row House Fitness offers the best training for a rigorous workout that covers strength, flexibility and cardio health. The enthusiasm of the instructors really makes the workouts fun and enjoyable. No more drudgery at the gym, because you have a group of rowers committed to the same workout. We all celebrate our progress! I encourage anyone at any level to join. The schedule allows for flexibility to match what works best for any timeline.

I booked the class through classpass and came to the class 5 minutes before the class was supposed to start. I was denied entry to the class saying that a newcomer not coming 15 minutes before the class is not allowed.
I agree the email mentioned to arrive 15 minutes before class but it didn't mention that entry or class will be denied if you don't do so.
The only good thing was that I didn't incur a late fee/cancellation fee as they did check me in.
But this was a waste of time, money and trip. If a person is coming in for the first time, they can be late due to traffic, finding the place etc. But in no case they should be denied entry. None of the other gyms/fitness studios in the area do so.

Having a great time here. I'm 3 months in and feel way stronger than before joining. I like the accountability in showing up regularly and over the summer have been biking to and from. It's definitely a healthy challenge for newcomers to the erg/rowing machine...but a great way for athletes to stay in shape. Shoutout to Nikki, Stacy, Keegan, Danielle, and Echo for making it a new experience every time! Also, much appreciation to the FOH staff for being welcoming every time I drop in. Looking forward to more :)

Such a great workout!! Great music, amazing instructors! It’s not just rowing, but you get floor work (dumbbell training, core work, stretching, etc). There are 5 different class types and they’re all great. The studio itself is very clean and spacious. And a nice little addition is their retail area. They sell all kinds of great workout clothes, most not branded too! 1st class is free too so why wouldn’t you try

Luis totally did me right! In from out of town trying to get into a Pilates class next door and just randomly went in to see what I could do at the Row House. Class had already started, but he welcomed me in anyway, got me settled with a super friendly but not long drawn out intro and I really enjoyed doing something completely new and fun. Met chiropractor Dr. Kim in the lobby on the way out and got some great tips for hip maintenance. Thanks to both of you!

I love working out with other people to fun music at Row House! I get a great cardio workout without putting stress on my joints, plus strength training when I take the Signature, Strength or Intervals classes. The entire class works together as one crew team to make the boat go faster. I also get my own stats so I can see improvement over time. The studio has lockers, restrooms large enough to change in, towels and a water station. It's open every day and convenient to other SLU shops and restaurants.

My husband and I have been rowing here for about a week and are loving it. We are both new to rowing but the instructors have all been very helpful. Row House is an inclusive environment offering low impact cardio and strengthening workouts for people of all ages, fitness levels, and experience. I enjoy the motivating feeling of rowing in sync with a group but I also have the control of my own row machine to tailor my personal workout. The cost of the membership is a great value for a boutique fitness studio in this area of Seattle.
