Offering yoga & movement classes, workshops, and teacher trainings in Capitol Hill Seattle since 1986.
Seattle Yoga Arts offers good old-fashioned yoga in a thriving community of dedicated and welcoming faculty and practitioners. Our yoga is an alignment-based, heart-infused practice that is body nourishing, soul satisfying and sanity supporting.
Our classes flow, but not too fast. The room is warm, but not too hot. We emphasize alignment, but not without losing the flow. Just right!

A great studio with fantastic teachers - all very skilled with years of experience. Great place to immerse yourself in yoga and learn at your own pace. The instructors meet you where you are at in terms of ability and skill. They will challenge you in a way that prioritizes what is safe and what you are ready for.

I took a noon class, fundamentals with Kathryne Bouchard. Such a beautiful flow. Challenging but gentle. It didn't feel like I was working hard, more like traveling/exploring in my body. Abs were very sore next day lol. I recommend! Thank you Seattle Arts.

Fantastic local studio. Ellen in particular is an amazing teacher. The free to use mats, props, and water is so convenient. If you haven't tried one of their classes, sign up today!

I was devastated when my beloved "yoga home", Sutra in Wallingford, closed its doors a few years ago. Began my search and upon a friend's recommendation took a couple of classes at SYA. Well.....the rest as they say is history. Beautiful space, warm and welcoming staff and teachers who really know their stuff, innovative and supportive styles of classes for all levels/moods, and a lovely and diverse community.

Good yoga instruction but my mom and I had a disappointing experience with the management here.

Bad vibes from the instructor. The class felt oppressive rather than relieving.

I have been a student since 2002. There is no other studio I've been so at home in.
