Great gym with great people. Whether you want to compete and push yourself, or just roll and learn at your own pace, the community here welcomes it all.

Roger is a great and attentive coach, and Professor Jericho makes lessons super intuitive. Love it here, definitely check it out if you're on the fence to starting your own Jiu Jitsu/Muay Thai journey!

Been coming here for almost two years and love it. Great instructors, great peers. I especially love it now that the morning Jiu-jitsu classes are more consistent since mornings work best for my schedule.

The people here are very welcoming, encourage direct communication, and treat each other like family.

The owner has a big heart and is very passionate about teaching MMA. He's recruited a phenomenal tream of instructors to help run classes.

I highly recommend this gym.

Poor communication. Class purchased not as described. Don't advertise an intro beginners course on your website and collect money for it and then turn around and say well actually it's not that. Then become completely unresponsive to requests to work something else out or receive a refund. We will try somewhere else and dispute with bank. Boo.

Roger and the rest of the crew down at Stray Dogs Club has to be some of the best mentors around. They constantly push people to be their best but do so with respect and compassion. Walking through their doors has to be one of the best decisions I’ve ever made for myself. There truly isn’t enough good things I can say about Stray Dogs Club. If you’re on the fence about showing up, just come in and see for yourself what a top notch facility they’re running.

Been going to this gym for over three years now, and I feel like I get the best possible training by the best instructors I’ve known. I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else for BJJ. They're family to me.

I can’t say enough good things about Stray Dogs. The owner, Roger, has created a welcoming and encouraging school that supports a wide range of students. Coaches are highly qualified and encourage students to challenge themselves, be safe, and mentor students that are less experienced than they are. Stray Dogs has an old-school focus on learning fundamental skills that are brutally effective in self-defense and competition, so if you’re looking to learn fancy-schmancy moves to show off on social, you’re out of luck--no InstaGrapplers here! Classes can be INTENSE, so be sure to go at your own pace and listen to the coaches. There’s lots of different classes to pick from: adult beginner and advanced jiu jitsu, muy thai, wrestling, mma, women-only jiu jitsu and muy thai, and private classes. The kids jiu jitsu program is particularly well supported. So, if you’re up for a challenge and are ready for the best work out of your life, drop in to one of the regular classes. Show up a few minutes early so you can sign the waiver and get fitted with loaner gear if needed. First class is free!

(I’m 200 pounds of grizzled construction worker and everyone here can legitimately submit me including the older kids. I’m not joking, the moms are particularly vicious. Have I mentioned what blast this is?)

I've been training here for about 6 months. I started with their free women's class on Sunday nights and quickly fell in love with Muay Thai! I can't say enough good things about the coaches here. They are fun and make you feel very comfortable while teaching you good technique and pushing you to do your best. My confidence is growing and my waistline is shrinking. I highly recommend trying it out for yourself!

Kids class is one of the best in the region. Great exercise, focus / life skills and how to win. Adult class are a great way to stay fit and learn perseverance in a relaxed/polite environment.

Stray dogs club has an amazing kids program that we absolutely love. the coaches are great with our 3yo daughter and 4yo son. our kids can't wait to go to class and practice BJJ and Muay Thai. They have a family friendly atmosphere and your kids will feel a part of the pack from day one! We've been going for 4 months now and we are definitely lifers at this point. I'm personally going to start training BJJ here as well! I hope to see you here!

This place is great! Taught me some real Muay Thai, BJJ, and Wrestling. It made my overall fighting skills better on and off the ring. Thanks to the coaches that helped me learn and progress, I was able to defend myself in a real life on the street self defense situation. Great place, really recommend.

My name is Tyana, I've been going to Stray Dogs Club to learn martial arts for four years now. I started when I was twelve (I'm sixteen now). My dad wanted to get me into martial arts, and we looked at the local schools but didn't find what we were looking for. We came across Stray Dogs and knew this was the right place. Roger (the owner and instructor) was very personable. In fact, everyone at the gym was very nice and made me feel comfortable despite being the only girl (little did I know there'd eventually be so many ladies attending that the gym would open a Ladies' Only class). Fast forward a few years, I have my blue belt, compete at tournaments, help coach in private and kids classes, and am looking forward to my first Muay Thai fight soon. I think the best part about going to class every day (I go about six days a week now) is that I get to do something I love with people who are like family to me. The gym is a great place to work out and learn. All the instructors (Roger, Tate, Angel, Jericho, Edwin, Jim, and I) are very experienced in their skills and overall great teachers. I would recommend our gym to everyone and I hope I'll see you in class!

This gym is incredible. The instructors are amazing well educated on what they do. If you decide to join this gym and your consistent in your training you will sooner or later meet your goals. Your goals important to you will be as equally important to them. They are a safe team to train with. If you are out ranked it's nothing to fear or be concerned about. There is not a man in there with a explosive ego. No humiliation. Just family and brotherhood. They are great people and they are alot of fun to get to meet and train with. Good luck to you as a new student of stray dogs in Monroe. Train hard and push yourself mentally and physically and watch you become more than you ever expected of yourself. God Bless And Good Luck
