Adnan is a great trainer. Whilst I've had a little bit of gym training over the years, this is my first time doing proper free-weight powerlifting. I've learnt so much from him this past year, and he's been incredibly patient throughout the process. He was also very accommodating when I suffered some minor skiing injuries and was able to adapt the training schedule to focus on the exercises I could do whilst still having enough variety to keep things interesting. Would definitely recommend for anybody looking to get into weight training

I trained with Adnan for a little over 3 years, and only stopped due to a move. I went from always avoiding exercise to not being able to go long without working out. Adnan creates a judgement-free and constructive atmosphere, and has a strong focus on good technique. I would strongly recommend booking a trial with him if you’re looking to start strength training.

Adnan, who owns Strength Lab, is a fantastic strength/powerlifting trainer. Under his guidance, I've hit several PRs across major compound exercises, learned to squat properly, and lost 30 lb of weight (mostly body fat). For the first time in my adult life, I'm no longer in the overweight BMI. Adnan is consistent, welcoming and very organized (for eg. he sends calendar invites on Sunday for training sessions during the week). Furthermore, he's also inspiring in that he's quite strong, yet lean since he eats healthy and maintains an active lifestyle , including through endurance sports. Lastly, I feel like I enjoy powerlifting more than HIIT and other types of training; because powerlifting is lower reps, higher weights, I feel less exhausted at the end of each class, and follow up with some cardio. I would definitely recommend Adnan and Strength Training Lab for personal training!

My friend and I started working out with Adnan beginning of March twice a week in order to be stronger in everyday life and for outdoor activities. Things I like about Adnan’s training:

- Straight forward approach - a session starts with warmup/mobility exercises and then we rotate through a few compound full body exercises. I can see the plan on a whiteboard with weight progressions.
- Adnan made us feel comfortable right away - He is knowledgeable and answers my health questions and we chat between sets.
- It’s helpful to learn proper form and do heavy weights in a non commercial gym setting which I find intimidating.
- It’s satisfying to hit PRs and I can tell I’m getting stronger.

I'd been thinking about getting a personal trainer for a long time and a year ago I finally took the plunge and signed up with Adnan. Now I can't imagine my life without it :)

First, having a trainer managing your program for you (not to mention spotting you, racking the weights, etc) makes all the difference in making it a stress-free and frictionless experience. All you have to do is just get in the zone and Adnan takes care of the rest.

Second, the consistency you get with a trainer means you're not constantly worrying about whether you're getting "enough" exercise--whenever you're not training, you can relax and just enjoy looking and feeling stronger (which, for me, happened surprisingly fast).

Third, Adnan's private space in a quiet neighborhood is exactly what I was looking for--none of the distractions of a gym, it's just you and him and the workout.

Fourth, Adnan has exactly the attitude you would want from a trainer--focused, knowledgeable, professional, but also a very relaxed and fun guy to be around (which is important for someone you're going to be seeing multiple times a week :)

And last but not least, his rates are very reasonable. When I look at the cost of his program over a whole year and compare that to the health benefits and peace of mind I get from it, there's no question that it's a great return on investment.

I highly recommend Adnan to anyone in the area who's thinking of getting into strength training and is just looking for a trainer they know they can count on!

Adnan, who runs Strength Lab, is such a great trainer. I've been a client for over a year, after about 10 years away from any weight training. With Adnan's patient, consistent approach I'm back to personal best on squats, bench, and deadlifts. I've also lost at least 10 pounds along the way and am a lot more comfortable in beach photos. But enough about me.

Adnan has a great process for training once or twice a week, pushing your limits but keeping it safe. He mixes in a lot of mobility and gradual buildup with each exercise so you can handle heavy weights without risking injury. I've learned a ton from him as well. He's always happy to go in depth on mechanics and biology but doesn't show off or subscribe to any weird pseudoscience. Overall awesome experience, and I can't wait to see what we do in year 2!

I've been training with Adnan for over 8 months and I love it. He helps me understand the exercises as I do them, I've hit new PRs, and I've even referred my husband to see Adnan. I am 31F and started seeing Adnan for personal training in August of last year - so it’s been about 8 months now of going to him twice a week. In that eight months, I have gotten WAY stronger, leaner, and more capable. I feel better, literally all the time, then I did before. I am visibly in much better shape. I sleep better, I have more energy, my mood is better. If these are things that you would also like, and you would like to achieve them without screwing your body up from poor technique or trying to figure out how to do new exercises from TikTok and youtube videos, I cannot recommend Strength Lab Training enough.

Bonus: because Adnan has an independent set up and does not work out of a giant commercial mega-gym, you do not have to deal with other gym goers while you are getting trained. It’s perfect.

I will note specifically: I have met a few women who have had issues with (typically male) personal trainers who discouraged them from lifting heavy because they’d “get bulky” and insisted on having them just do really high reps of the same low weights in perpetuity, even after they expressed interest in learning how to lift heavy. It worried me and was part of why I looked for a trainer who was strength focused. Adnan definitely is pro lifting heavy for women! I now squat an amount I’m not sure I would have considered achievable when I started, and am only going for more. SQUATS FOREVER.

When I first started I didn’t really know what the hell I wanted to do, and Adnan was really helpful for making very well-rounded programming for me. As I’ve gotten more specific goals, he has adjusted my programming to get me there. I have learned A LOT of technique from him, smashed goals and then new goals and then more new goals, and have not gotten injured once.

Plus, honestly, just a dope dude to talk to in between sets.

10/10 would get swole again

Not only does he work with us as a couple, but customize our workouts to our needs and abilities. I really appreciated how he worked with me though a skiing injury. I’ve been training with Adnan for for about 6 months now and it’s been amazing! He tailors workouts to my goals and explains the benefits of the exercises we’re doing, sometimes even with a textbook! I’ve gotten much stronger and I can clearly see this help me when I’m out doing activities like hiking or riding a bike.

Adnan is great and flexible in terms of timing and is easy to work with if anything comes up in my schedule. Most of all, he makes workouts fun and even if I’m having the worst day, I really look forward to going to Strength Lab and working out while having great conversations!

I have been working with Adnan for about 3 months now, and I have had nothing but positive experience training with him.

I have been a client of Adnan's for the past 12 months and have truly enjoyed all my training sessions!! During the peak of Covid, Adnan was so flexible and offered to train me in any public park of my choice in the Seattle area so we could be outdoors. Adnan now trains me in his private gym space which is perfect! We have a variety of equipment and he also ensures we do plenty of agility training for body fat weight loss through Tabata drills which are challenging but very effective! He is extremely flexible with my schedule and unexpected date/time changes. When I want to focus on a certain body area, he tailors the workouts to my preferences. I have seen a huge positive change in my body through the time I have been working out with him and will continue to do so! Adnan is a great trainer! When my gym closed down due to the pandemic, I tried to continue on my own, but I wasn't getting anywhere, and I was actually losing ground. Adnan did more than just get me back on track, he listened very carefully to my goals and helped me devise a program to that would help me achieve them. Adnan is very safety conscious, he ensures that nothing I do is going to result in injury or overuse, and it's much more enjoyable than just going to the gym. I'm middle aged and I feel better than I have in years, and I wish I had started working out with him before this! He's very focused on helping me achieve my fitness goals in a safe way. The difference between working out with him and just going to the gym 2 or 3 days a week is unbelievable.
