Great gym. Lots of amazing equipment and usually only a couple of people there at a time which I was really looking for after terrible experiences at other gyms. Owners are very nice and helpful. Hands down best gym I’ve ever used.

I absolutely love this place. I'm happy to drive a little further to get here because the atmosphere is exactly what I was looking for.
It's a quiet, functional, and very clean space, perfect if you want to focus completely on your training without distraction. Everyone here is committed to their work, which creates a really respectful and motivating community feel.
If you value a dedicated space to concentrate on your fitness goals, this gym is a fantastic find and a great value for the year-long commitment!

Great facility, good selection of equipment for hypertrophy specialists and powerlifters. Even the strongmen get some toys just for them.
Staff was very accommodating for someone coming in for a day pass. One of the best critiques for a gym is how they use their space and Strong Life had thought it out well.
Prices were reasonable, not even considering the high cost of living that the Seattle area is known for.
Would absolutely recommend if you're looking for a place where you want to actually get some good work done. Hoping I get to come back in the future.

The BEST gym ever!
This gym truly has everything you could ask for, whether you’re into bodybuilding, powerlifting, athletic training, functional or hybrid workouts, or group classes, it’s all here. The staff is so welcoming and helpful, and the environment is motivating and uplifting every time you walk in.
On top of that, the equipment is top-of-the-line. From the best cardio and strength machines to an incredible recovery room, you’ll find everything you need to train hard and recover properly.
Hands down, the best gym experience! Cannot wait to come back.

I was assigned this gym through my summer baseball team, the DubSea Fish Sticks. We had a very detailed orientation with Claire and the gym looked amazing. Came in about 4 times a week throughout the summer and it was always super clean, there was always open machines, and Claire and Kyle were always so welcoming. Good community in the gym as you will see the same people working out every time you go in and start to become friends with them. Overall, probably the best gym I have ever been a member at and would definitely recommend to anyone whether you are just starting to workout, or have been doing so for many years. Let me start by saying this is the first time I have ever signed up for a gym. I wanted to change some things about my lifestyle before I was too old to really make an impact. I had reached out to several gyms to schedule tours, some didn't respond, some responded so quickly and constantly I knew that was a bad sign! Strong life was actually the third gym I contacted. I had figured I wanted to find a place that was catering to people who were serious but also someplace where a beginner could excell. I have been going for almost 3 months now and can't be any happier with my choice. Quality equipment. Professional demeanor from staff. Clean amenities. Top notch. I have been able to ask many beginner questions without any of the staff looking annoyed!! I was incredibly intimidated when I started, but have come to realize everyone has to start somewhere. Seems like this gym attracts people who are serious about wanting to train, but without any ego. Of all the options Seattle has I feel like I'm truly the lucky one finding this gem. Seems like the owners have put in a lot of hard work to create this community. It is an absolute please to train here.Book a tour like I did and see for yourself!!

This is by far the best gym I’ve been to in the Seattle area.
They have plenty of weights for bodybuilding and powerlifting, all sorts of equipment to try out for better lifts instead of the same boring stuff, and they have a great recovery room.
The owners are super awesome and are always pushing everyone who comes through their doors to do their best. I love the energy here and would recommend this place to anyone who is serious about their health!!

The gym is super nice and has everything that you need. There are a ton of racks, all sorts of machines, a nice turf area, slam medicine balls, and even a recovery room. It is super spacious and a an amazing environment. The workers are super nice and personable.

I am Bum Lee, CSCS and owner Westbank Athletic Club in New Orleans. This is one the best gyms I have ever trained at. Claire and Kyle are great hands on owners. The equipment is diverse and well maintained. The facility is super clean. If you are a powerlifter or Crossfitter, this the place for you. My son and I had an amazing experience for the week we were here.

Ever walk into a place and feel like you don’t belong? Well this gym is the exact opposite of that feeling. From the second I signed up for a membership I’ve felt nothing but welcomed and supported here. Not only by Kyle, Claire, and the rest of the staff - but by the community they’ve built here as well. The equipment is top tier, the classes are the best I’ve been to, and the people are even better. No one is “just a member” here. They remember every name, they care about you as a person, and they’re invested in your progress just as much as you are. So many seattle gyms just try to fill classes with as many people as possible, but at Strong Life that is not the case. The class sizes are small enough that you get personalized attention to coach you through heavy weights and correct form. 10/10 recommend!

I had a great experience here! I came on a holiday weekend, so they were not staffed, however their Instagram account was great at communicating questions/getting access through an app so I could still come.
They offer classes, personal training, and have powerlifting equipment. For powerlifting, they have many power bars, rogue combo racks, deadlift platforms, calibrated plates, and other squat racks.

Updated June 2025 after 8 months of membership:
Brand new location opened Fall 2024 (no longer a garage) is 8600SF packed with brand new equipment, and has easy session scheduling through an app. Group training classes are small (usually no more than 6 people), so you still get individual attention, and the trainers are happy to modify workouts to accommodate issues or past injuries (knees, shoulders, back problems, etc.)
Sign up for an amount of weekly classes, or unlimited. All class members get a free open gym membership. You can also sign up for just the open gym without classes, if preferred. Discounts may be available if you pay for 12 months in advance.
I recommend making use of the InBody scans that are included in some memberships so you can track your progress. Measure the skeletal muscle mass and body fat on your body as a whole, and in each segment (trunk, left arm, right arm, etc.)
I also recommend getting the MyZone heart rate monitor to see your heart rate zone displayed live on a monitor at the gym (& an app on your phone.) It helps you stay aware of how hard you're pushing yourself, and if you need to rest a little, or push harder. You earn points for how long your heart rate is in higher zones, competing with all other members at the gym for a spot in the Top 10 on the board. If gamifying things and healthy competition help to motivate you, you'll need this! It's also cheaper through the gym than on Amazon.
HIIT is tough, but a good challenge, and everyone I've met so far has made me want to keep showing up.

I've been a member of this gym for a few months now, and I have to say that I'm so so impressed with the community that the SLT team has built! I'm more of a class guy than an open gym guy, and honestly I was very intimidated when this gym first opened. All the new high-end equipment made me feel like this gym was meant for serious athletes and powerlifters. However, I gave the classes a shot, and was pleasantly surprised. The classes are VERY hands-on, and have a really big emphasis on strength (rather than many other popular class formats that emphasize cardio). Since the class sizes are small, and the gym is large, it almost feels like group private fitness rather than a commercial gym class. You get a ton of 1-on-1 attention to form, tips, and even guidance to meet your goals. As someone who was once terrified of barbells and heavy weights, I can now say that I'm so happy to have this gym in my neighborhood to continue to improve my fitness. Oh, and the other perks are great - the recovery room is super modern, the equipment has great instructional videos, and the member policies are super generous. Cheers to SLT!

This is definitely one of the best gyms in Seattle, and I’d say it holds its own as top tier spot across the nation.
1. It has all the equipment you need: full weight room, outdoor turf and gear, recovery room, private bathrooms with showers that are always clean, and always the best music.
2. The owners are amazing and welcoming. Once you come in, you’ll know exactly what I’m talking about.
3. Aesthetically, the place is beautiful.

After at home workouts during COVID I finally pulled the trigger on a gym membership. Looking around my area there weren’t many options other than commercial gyms or overly crowded ones with generic equipment. Then I stumbled upon Strong Life.
Their fleet of Arsenal equipment is hands down the most robust and coolest equipment I’ve ever seen in any gym (I’ve been lifting for 15 years, even during rugby in college it competes with our facilities).
The gym is never crowded, the staff are extremely friendly and the atmosphere inviting. The owners Clair and Kyle are locals who dreamed of opening a gym and this is the result. The love and attention to detail in the place is unlike anything I’ve seen before.
This is truly a gym for anyone looking to level up their fitness. There are folks new to the gym taking intro classes with the staff, power lifters, body builders, cross training athletes but what’s amazing is it feels like a community which is growing every day. It’s fun to be part of a local business that cares about its members. I’m amped to see where they take it next. Oh and with summer approaching I’m excited to use the outdoor area as well!

Best gym in the Seattle area. Family owned (Kyle and Claire are top tier people, why wouldn’t you support?) and the perfect vibe. No distracting tvs, all the equipment you think you would need and some stuff you’ve probably never used. There’s classes for those who need a push or don’t like to think and then if you just do your own thing, you don’t feel like you’re in the way of the classes. The space is great, things are well spread out. All the details were accounted for. And there’s a recovery room to help keep you at your best. You get everything you pay for and more.

First time here and I kept thinking “this gym is DOPE!” The owners are amazing people and has good vibes. Lighting and music is on point and has the equipment you need from CrossFit, powerlifting to just getting your swole on. One of the best parts is the rejuvenation room they have with massage guns and vibrating foam rollers, and air compression recovery systems..

You can’t go wrong with Strong Life Fitness. Coach Kyle and Coach Claire, the creators, instructors, and heart of SLF are two of the most knowledgeable and creative coaches that I have come across in the fitness community.
Both coaches are extremely patient and always go the extra mile to accurately communicate any adjustments that could help with better form. Also, their positive attitudes compliment their focus on pushing you to meet your desired goals.
To top it off, they have a wide range of interests outside of fitness that make it that much easier to get along with.

I’m from DTX but after visiting I must say that this is one of the best bodybuilding gyms that I have been too. The place is beautiful and I believe that it is fully equipped with Arsenal Strength. Everything about this gym was designed intentionally for serious lifters (equipment, recovery room, space for functional training, nice bathrooms). They also have everything needed for powerlifters. The owners were SO WELCOMING and they have a cute doggo☺️. What more can you ask for?

I have been with Claire and Kyle since July 2021 doing 3 years of personal training with them. They changed my life! When I started, I was in ok shape but dealing with broken body parts; torn rotator cuff in both shoulders and a bad knee. They are so knowledgeable and experienced I was able to work-out and get stronger with their guidance making the appropriate modifications necessary to not aggravate my issues. When they opened their very beautiful new facility in October (2024), I transitioned to their group classes and I love them! Again, even with a preset work-out they always offer the appropriate modifications. I love the group setting and now able to increase my work-outs to 3 times per week instead of 2. I highly recommend the MYZone Heart Monitor as it’s a great motivator and just recently I receive notification that because of my fitness improvement my maximum heart rate has been raised by 6 points! I’m continuing to get fitter and stronger and never felt better at the “young” age of 63! Strong Life Training is great for EVERY fitness level and age. Although SLT looks like a gym, it’s so much more! They set you up for success, starting where you are and help you to achieve your goals! If I can do it, you can too! Thank you, Claire and Kyle!

Kyle and Claire are amazing! I have never been someone who likes to workout but I wanted to get in shape and thought I would give the group training a shot and I fell in love with it! It can be very intimidating to walk into a gym and workout with people that are already established but everyone is super nice! Almost every class people introduce themselves to each other and it feels good to know everyone is nice and looking out for each other! If you don’t want to do group training you can also just pay for gym membership and you won’t regret it the gym is beautiful. You can tell they built their dream gym and it’s only getting better!

Since working with Claire, my outlook on working out has completely changed. In the past, when I was spending so much on a dust collecting monthly gym membership, I saw it as a chore. (Also- are we going to act like gymtimidation isn’t a thing??) Now, I genuinely look forward to working out! I have seen so many results that I can’t deny how good it feels. I started during Covid restrictions.
Claire and Kyle are very organized and totally on top of cleaning and following cdc guidelines.
Sometimes one needs a little kick start or incentive to begin a fitness journey and I joined during the beginning of an 8-week challenge they were starting.
My daughter and I started training together with coach Claire 2x a week. (Now I’m hooked and doing three!)
We were given a fitness assessment and a consultation about our goals and nutrition habits .
I have a 100 pound weight loss goal (that’s a pretty daunting goal)
Claire made me feel like this was something that was achievable and didn’t make me feel intimidated in the least about my goals.
She made a nutrition plan after our consult and explained the path to reach my goal.
Back to the 8week challenge! 😀
Using some modifications for a knee issue during my workouts, I not only wWON that 8 week challenge... I regained a love of working out and LOST 20 pounds!!
Strong Life Training is very well equipped for getting workouts into your life without repeating the same exercises each workout. I feel like I learning something every day when I go there!
I plan on sticking to my goals and continuing to reach them through Claire’s knowledge and expertise . If you are looking for an awesome gym set up, to see yourself through a small or big goal, and to have some one rally behind you?

I have been working with coach Claire since late summer 2020 and I honestly could not be happier with my experience. She is both professional and personal. The workouts are always varied and never boring. Ive struggled with back pain and a recent foot injury and she had been so great about adapting moves to insure Im always comfortable and never doing anything that will be detrimental to my physical health.
