The Dance Studio is incredible! We highly recommend it. My girls have been dancing there since they were 3 (14 years!) and have grown so much as dancers and people through their time there. The teachers are all awesome and it has a supportive, loving and welcoming atmosphere. The dance education is awesome and the recitals and Christmas shows are amazing. Our daughter has been dabbling in dance for a few years. We started here at The Dance studio last year and this past year her self confidence in dancing has shown tremendously! Currently my daughter has a ballet/tap dance class there. She is constantly telling me the latest phrase or dance move that Miss Britt has taught her, always with a big grin on her face. It is magical to watch your child blossom and find their passion, but it’s even better when it’s in an environment that is full of joy, acceptance and love.

I used to dance with the dance studio in the 90s/00s with my sisters and it’s still the same in the way that dancing is joy and worth celebration. Every staff member I have encountered believes this. We are thankful for Miss Britt as she has harnessed the same love and joy her Mom brought while also keeping the studio up to date and trendy. Danced here for 10+ years. All was decent until it took new ownership(Wendy Setters daughter Brittany) and when Wendy (the previous owner) would NOT advance me to higher skilled level classes even though I had taken the same level of classes over and over and over again which ultimately caused me to stop dancing. I lost SO much respect for the company. I remember not liking many of the instructors also. They were talented enough but SO rude. This isn’t a place I would recommend to anybody. Don’t waste your time or your money.

The Dance Studio has been an incredible place for both of our girls as well as myself for dance classes the last 6 years. There is always a variety of dance classes offered and times available. During this unpredictable time of a Pandemic, the staff have pivoted (little dance pun intended!) and done an incredible job of making things work for the students and families while also following safety protocols that make me feel great about sending my girls to dance. This studio provides excellent dance technique coupled with fun and building a genuine love for dance.
The dance productions put on by TDS are so fun and you can tell the dancers are proud to perform. The studio offers multiple opportunities to perform throughout the year as well.
The facility itself is clean, bright, and inviting. The Dance Shop, which is also part of the studio, is always stocked with dance attire and shoes which has saved me many times when my kids’ feet grow into a new size every minute or mange to tear holes in their tights. Never fear, The Dance Shop has got your back! If you are looking to join a dance studio, you will love The Dance Studio.

This studio caters to the growing/developing child -- promotes healthy emotional AND physical progress -- in a non-judgmental setting. The Dance Studio has been teaching students for 35 years in Whatcom County. We had 3 students audition and were accepted in Jeoffrey Ballet this summer, 2013. We have traveled to Australia 5 different times performing, once to Japan and this summer 8 students are traveling to Finland to perform. Besides the Spring Performance every year at the Mt. Baker Theatre, Brittany Setter (owner/director), has written a Christmas Program - 'Saving Christmas Town' which is performed in December, 4-5 productions at Bellingham High School. A great ballet based studio where students take tap, hip hop, jazz, musical theater, adagio, pointe and are well rounded in their dance experiences. Thousands of children have passed thru our studio over the years and many have gone on to professional dance companies. The Dance Studio offers the Best Dance Experience in Bellingham.
