The Do Better Studio was founded with the intent of providing a plan and tools needed to achieve your optimal health potential. We work in a collaborative manner toward your goal, supporting you both physically and mentally.

We offer services and programs emphasizing awareness, prevention, rehabilitation, and positive health behavior change.

Our mission is to promote a collaborative approach to personal and community health through wellness promotion, corrective exercise, physical training, and educational programming. We are committed to facilitating growth and development within the broad spectrum of health and wellness.

I started training at The Do Better Studio with Ian one year ago and I'm so happy that I did. I was 30 years old having never been to a gym, lifted weights etc and was recovering from major knee surgery. Ian accepted me for what I was and built a training program that would work for me. He's willing to listen to me and change the workout if my knees are hurting. One year in and I and everyone around me can see the difference the training has made for me.

My twice a week work outs have become a favorite part of my week which is not something I ever would have said when I started. Not only do I feel good after my hour there but Ian and Brittany have built a wonderful community full of people who love to support each other and leave there happier.

If you're looking for a trainer that will listen to you but push you to become a better version of yourself you can't go wrong with The Do Better Studio.

Years ago, Brittany stalked me at the gym she worked at and made me care about my fitness instead of just letting me fall into the abyss of totally giving up as I entered my 40s. Now I'm almost 47 and she's already telling me I have to keep this up into my 50s, which I guess is fine since I have a kid and responsibilities and stuff. But I guess since she holds my yarn for me when I crochet at the gym and my form is great and I'm the strongest that I've ever been, I'll stick with it so that I don't absolutely fall apart. And this year, I've started working out with Ian too, so now I have two humans keeping it all together and I'm basically going to be a total beef muffin as my hair continues to gray and my skin starts to sag. But for reals, this is the best gym I've ever worked out at and the environment is super supportive and inclusive and I'm beyond grateful that I have two living angels who know how to get me to care about myself even on those days where I don't myself.

I've been working out with Ian for about a year now, starting not long after I blew out my knee skiing. His ability to work around my injury, both pre and post surgery, has been excellent and I've exceeded recovery milestones set by my physical therapist. Plus, Ian and Brittany are fun to be around.

The best part of my week is the time I get to spend moving my body and “doing better” with Ian at The Do Better Studio. I’ve been working with Ian for several years and he has become an integral part of my family’s village. He trains my husband AND has worked with my kids. His approach to wellness and health aligns with our values and keeps us moving forward in positive and productive ways. He has taught us how to listen to our bodies needs as well as focusing on our goals and course correcting when necessary. I never leave the studio feeling anything but accomplished- no matter what kind of day I’ve had. Working with Ian is so much more than just working out with a trainer- he really finds ways for you to “do better” than you did the day before.

You can't do any better than the Do Better Studio for your health & fitness goals!! Brittany & Ian are the best trainers I've ever worked with. As a woman over 40, it's important to work with trainers that not only understand mobility, body mechanics, & form but take things at a decent pace. Never once has my training been about weight loss or extremes, but about how my body feels.

Due to their expertise, I've been able to surpass all my goals & make gains I never thought I could in less than a year!! My deadlift is at 245lbs & with my ankle mobility training with Brittany I could finally bar squat 160lbs without a wedge!

I've never felt better in my body & more positive of what I can accomplish in the future! I look forward to every training session at this fun & inclusive studio! It's awesome to have the support of such caring people that want to help the community & genuinely adore their clients no matter their background or level. Check them out if you want to feel better in your body without judgment! Best decision I've made in the last year for myself was coming to The Do Better Studio!!

I’ve been training with Ian for almost 5 years now, moving from a big box gym to the Do Better studio. During this time Ian and Brittany have played an intricate role in both my physical and mental heath. Some days I show up to lift heavy weights, some days I show up for words of advice and some days I show up to be reminded that I am worth it. The Do Better Studio has given me a place to feel strong, feel safe, feel included, feel challenged and feel worthy. They are both pretty funny too.

Both Ian and Brittany are excellent trainers. I am an extremely unfit person and have been working out with Ian for just over year and have seen dramatic improvements in my strength and my confidence. The gym is an excellent space where you don’t feel judged by anyone. I have trained with both Brittany and Ian. They are amazing to work with and listen to my needs that change each week. I have continued to work with Ian as he helped me focus on safe and healthy strength building. I recommend this team and like how if one of them is out for the week the other offers to train you and keep your schedule. They also have the best Dad Jokes around. Over the year I have realized that I am the type of person who needs a healthy dose of accountability and form feedback so that I keep showing up for workouts and don't hurt myself in the process. I found both of those things in my trainer Ian with a bonus side of dad jokes. I originally came in with the goal of building strength, minimizing aches and pains, and being able to lift my 120 lb. Irish Wolfhound - you know, in case of emergencies. And while I occasionally bring my giant pup into the studio with me, I stick to lifting weights although I am proud to say I could 100% lift her now if I need to! Thanks Ian for challenging me, figuring out how to teach me in ways that I understand, and for always encouraging me to Do Better!

Ian takes personal training to another level! He has kept up with my aches and pains of working on my feet for over twenty years. When I first started I wore braces on both my wrists, couldn’t use my right hand at all after falling off my bike. I wasn’t able to get up and down off the floor… now I have full mobility of not just my hands but my wrists and shoulders. Easily up and down off the floor to play with my grandson. Lifting properly has strengthen muscles made my whole
body feel better especially my back and knees. Worth the time and money, plus Ian is a fantastic person, I love spending a couple hours with him and Brittany a week :)
