I just started at this gym and it has instantly become the best fitness service I’ve paid for!
Why? The People. The Vibe.
It’s not a money scamming pretentiously over-decorated wanna be night club for your social media posts… nor is it too lax like “big-box” gyms.
The members and the staff have an awesome camaraderie that meets you where you’re at, & helps you to progress. No matter where you are fitness wise!
Personally wanna give a shout out to my trainer Nate! Ask for him.

Lifting Legacy is amazing! Their trainers are strong and knowledgeable, the space is clean and well equipped, and they have a great community atmosphere- especially on PR days! All in all, highly recommended if you’re looking for a cool local gym with amazing trainers.

Lifting legacy and their team are a group of positive, empowering professionals and ai feel lucky to have found their gym since moving to Seattle. When I was new in town (over a year ago) I joined not knowing anyone in Seattle or in the area. Daniel and Alexy have been nothing but welcoming and kind since I joined, and they make the gym experience much more than just a workout / session - it’s also about community, inclusivity, and genuine encouragement. Beyond that, the gym is typically quiet, always clean, and has all the equipment you could ever want if you are a recreational weight lifter. They are also amazing trainers if you are looking for one on one work. Queen Anne is lucky to have this gym community, especially when I find good gyms few and far between / hard to come by. Not just a good gym, but good PEOPLE, and that matters to me big time!

I didn’t spend a ton of time at Lifting Legacy due to extenuating life circumstances, but can say confidently that this is an awesome gym and community. Daniel made me feel very ready to start my fitness journey, and Nathaniel gave me a great foundation to start with. It is a small gym and you may need to wait for machines during peak hours. Despite this, everyone is super supportive. Highly recommend!

Awesome gym! The community is super great and the location is clean, convenient, and super accessible, especially because you get your own code to enter basically whenever. If you’re in the area, one of the best priced and well equipped gyms around.

Dan and Alexei are the most patient and most positive gym trainers ever! The gym has all the equipment you need to get a good workout and is well-maintained. Every month, the gym hosts a monthly PR event where you get to compete with other gym goers. The environment is fun and the hours are flexible and convenient for office goers. 10/10 would recommend this gym to folks living in the Queen Anne/SLU area.

I've never been much of a weights person but ever since training here with Galen, I've come to love lifting weights a lot! Galen personalizes my sessions to my goals and has pushed me just the right amount while building my confidence in utilizing weights.
I also really love the community aspect of the gym which is such a rare find - everyone is so friendly and encouraging which has made it such a great place to be

Update: I've been at this gym for almost a year and it has been an incredible experience. I feel stronger and healthier than I think I ever have, lost 45 lbs, and went from being unable to do a single body-weight squat to squatting more than 170 lbs (and counting!). I couldn't have done it without Daniel and the team at The Lifting Legacy. It has been hard work building habits but what is great about this environment is that the effort feels sustainable and the change in mentality will hopefully last for a lifetime. If you are looking for a gym that caters to your individual goals and makes you feel supported and encouraged while keeping you accountable, I would look no further. Also, so freaking clean! It almost feels like you should take your shoes off when entering (but don't do that).

10/10 recommend! I had never worked out before so I wanted a place where I could learn from scratch. Daniel has been amazing, not only teaching me all the basics, but listening to me about my goals and addressing my concerns. He pushes me to do my best and always checks in to make sure we are not overdoing it. He wants to make sure that what we do is sustainable so we can create habits and reach our goals. As a first time gym-goer, I couldn't have asked for a better trainer and gym environment.

I can’t recommend this gym enough! One of the main reasons I joined was seeing co-owner Daniel constantly cleaning and maintaining the equipment—it really showed how much they care about the space and their members. Everything is always in great shape, well-lubricated, and ready to use.
Even though it’s a smaller gym, they’ve got all the essentials: bands, jump ropes, box jump boxes, and plenty more. You never feel like you’re missing anything. On top of that, both co-owners/trainers are awesome people—super welcoming, motivating, and just great to be around.
If you’re looking for a clean, well-maintained gym with a positive atmosphere, this is the place!

I'm old GenX and athletic but new to weightlifting. Daniel is really great - and is able to translate a wealth of knowledge in and eye for form down to the basics to get me proficient, stronger and excited about weightlifting. The app for the phone has all my history, videos, common mistakes and more. The videos are Daniel doing and narrating the exercise on the machine in front of you. And the gym is clean baby clean. These are just great people.

This gym has completely reshaped my relationship with movement and strength.
I came in nervous, dealing with chronic back pain and unsure if I’d ever feel strong again. From day one, the coaches met me where I was — with care, patience, and deep knowledge. They helped me rebuild slowly and safely, strengthening my back, and over time, helped me tap into a power and confidence I didn’t know I had.
This isn’t just a gym — it’s a community that lifts you up. Every session is a reminder that I’m capable of more than I thought. I leave stronger in body and mindset — and always with a smile. If you’re looking for a space where you’ll be seen, supported, and challenged in all the right ways, this is it.

The Lifting Legacy in Lower Queen Anne is an amazing fitness community that has had a huge positive impact on my health and wellness. When I moved to Queen Anne, I was looking for a gym and saw the intro specials and great reviews about the gym on their website. From the moment I walked in, I was welcomed with wide smiles and cheer, making it clear that this was more than just a gym—it was a supportive and uplifting community.
After just nine months of training here, I’m noticeably fitter, stronger, and more confident in my workouts. Year over year, I’ve gained lean mass by working out with my trainer, Alexy, who has been instrumental in my progress—not just physically but also in my mindset toward nutrition. Alexy helped me build a better relationship with carbs, which has been a game-changer for my energy levels and overall performance. When I first joined, my deadlift PR was just 95 pounds. By December, I hit an unbelievable new PR of 295 pounds! The strength gains I’ve made in such a short time are a testament to the expertise, programming, and encouragement from Alexy.
What truly sets The Lifting Legacy apart is the incredible knowledge and support from both Alexy and Dan. The fitness industry can be riddled with myths and misinformation, but they make it their mission to help you bust those myths and give you the truth backed by science and experience. They provide expert guidance and encouragement every step of the way, helping you build a strong foundation and approach fitness in a way that truly works. One thing that has stuck with me is Alexy’s motto: “Failure is feedback.” This mindset shift has pushed me to embrace challenges and use setbacks as learning opportunities rather than roadblocks. Working with Alexy has also made me more consistent in going to the gym, something I struggled with in the past. Now, showing up feels like second nature, and I can confidently say I have never left a workout at The Lifting Legacy feeling unhappy.
One of the things I appreciate most about this gym is that they don’t just hand out a standard workout plan. They take the time to understand where you’ve come from—your background, past injuries, and personal goals—and train you accordingly. The level of personalization and care they put into each program makes a huge difference in both progress and injury prevention.
Beyond the training, The Lifting Legacy fosters an amazing community. They host fantastic events that bring people together, making it easy to connect with others who are also working toward their fitness goals. It’s more than just a gym—it’s a place where you feel supported, motivated, and part of something bigger. If you're looking for a gym that will challenge you, educate you, and welcome you with big smiles and even bigger encouragement, I can't recommend The Lifting Legacy enough!
So if you're looking to build consistency, community or a challenge, YOU MUST VISIT THE LIFTING LEGACY!!!
Edit - it’s been over a year now since I started training here and I want to callout how clean this place is. The owners clean every nook of the place. It is always refreshing to workout without locking eyes with a spider in the corner judging your form.

I have had the privilege of working with Galen for nearly six months, and I can say without hesitation that the experience has been both transformative and deeply rewarding. From the very beginning, the environment at The Lifting Legacy stood out as friendly and encouraging. There is a genuine focus on community building, and it’s clear that fostering both individual and collective growth is at the heart of this space.
What I have appreciated most is how carefully Galen took the time to understand both my short-term and long-term goals. Rather than applying a one-size-fits-all approach, she crafted a personalized plan that truly meets my needs and continues to deliver results.
Galen strikes the perfect balance of being warm, respectful, and approachable, while also holding me to high standards. Every session is conducted with professionalism, care, and the right level of firmness and encouragement to push me beyond my comfort zone. I’ve felt consistently challenged, but never overwhelmed.
Another aspect that sets Galen apart is her commitment to safety and long-term well-being. Mobility work and stretching are prioritized at every session, with clear and non-negotiable attention given to proper form and injury prevention. This level of care speaks volumes about her expertise and dedication.
Above all, Galen meets me where I am, both physically and mentally, while continuously helping me progress. Every workout feels purposeful, and I leave each session stronger and more confident in my abilities.
I would highly recommend Galen to anyone looking for a personal trainer who not only understands fitness but also cares deeply about the people she trains.

I’ve been working with Alexy for several months now and can’t recommend her enough. I’d been lifting on my own off and on for a few years, and she met me exactly where I was. Her programming is clear and effective. She knows how to push just enough, improve form, and celebrate progress along the way.
With her support, I’ve made consistent lifestyle changes for the first time in years. I’ve seen meaningful results in how my clothes fit, on the scale, in lab work, and in my mindset. Most importantly, I feel good in my body for the first time in years.
The community she and Daniel have built is something special. It’s welcoming, supportive, and full of good energy. Alexy brings so much warmth and humor to the space, which makes it feel both grounded and genuinely fun to be part of. If you’re looking for smart, thoughtful training in a space that feels both professional and personal, The Lifting Legacy is it.

I met alexy almost 3 years ago with no intention of having a trainer. I actually met her on facebook and we have a virtual check in biweekly and we review the program she’s got for me with workouts, nutrition, etc.
I have learned SO MUCH from her about what I can do for my body, and everything I thought I knew about nutrition and exercise have been proven wrong. lol when I met her, I was at my lowest mentally and my heaviest weight. I am down 36 lbs and still going. She’s so friendly, knowledgeable and understanding! She’s a great trainer in person or virtually

I've been coming to this gym for almost a year now and it has been one of the best decisions I have made for my health.
While working with Alexey over the past year I have went from being unable to hold a squat position without falling on my butt to squatting 295lbs! I have never been in better shape.
Throughout my life I have repeatedly tried to get fit and have been to numerous gyms but I never stuck with it until I came here. From the moment I walked in Alexey and Daniel created such a friendly and welcoming environment. They completely calmed all my anxieties, and I truly feel like part of a community every time I come in.
I legitimately enjoy coming to the gym now which is a wild statement that past me could never have imagined being true.

I was a complete beginner to lifting and always felt hesitant to push myself when working out alone. Mostly because I wasn’t confident in my form and didn’t want to risk injury. I decided to try personal training to build a solid foundation and stay consistent.
I started training with Alexy in October ‘24, and it’s been one of the best decisions for my fitness journey. My initial goal was to gain muscle and develop a consistent gym habit, and she’s helped me do exactly that (and more).
Alexy taught me proper form from the ground up, and what I really appreciate is how she catches even the smallest breakdowns in my form before they turn into bad habits. Every session is structured, challenging, and intentional. She uses progressive overload to push me beyond my comfort zone but never beyond what I can handle safely.
Her energy is contagious. Even on days when I show up low on motivation, she brings a level of enthusiasm that makes it impossible not to give it my best. She’s always happy to answer questions and makes sure I understand the why behind every thing.
The gym itself is fantastic! It has three squat racks and equipment that many apartment gyms don’t, like a glute bridge machine, an assisted pull-up machine and a deadlift platform. It’s always clean, well-maintained, and never too crowded, which makes the overall experience even better.
If you’re new to lifting or just looking to take your fitness to the next level, I can’t recommend Lifting Legacy enough. I no longer find the gym intimidating and has become something I genuinely look forward to.

Going to Lifting Legacy was the best part of a four month business trip I recently took to Seattle. When I got there I had an exercise routine, I just needed a gym. All I wanted was a squat rack and to be left alone to use it.
The facility is good: clean, well cared for, efficiently laid out, and the equipment is good to go. As I got to know Alexy, Daniel, and Galen I became impressed with the depth of their knowledge about exercise, nutrition, and fitness.
As a treat for myself I took a personal training session with each of them. I would still be taking personal training sessions with them if the contract that took me to Seattle hadn't been called off, forcing me to go home back east.
Alexy, Daniel, and Galen have different styles of working out, specific interests in training, and methods of teaching. Plus, they're all great motivators. Whether technical tips on exercise, or general health advice and inspiration is what you need, they'll be able to provide it.
They each taught me better techniques for exercises that I thought I knew well. Then they showed me additional exercises that complimented what I was already doing, and improved my previous routine. I'm very glad that I joined the gym and met all of them. I would still be going there if I lived anywhere close, and wish them all the best of luck in the future.

I’ve been training with Galen for a while now, and I can confidently say she’s one of the best out there. She’s incredibly knowledgeable and tailors each session specifically to my needs and goals. Since I started working with her, I’ve become more consistent with my workouts and have seen real progress.
She doesn’t just focus on the workout but also keeps a close check on my diet, offering helpful suggestions for high-protein, healthier alternatives. It’s like having a personal coach both in and out of the gym.
The gym itself is always clean and welcoming, with a really friendly environment that keeps me motivated to show up. I highly recommend Galen to anyone looking for a dedicated and results-driven trainer!

So I've been going to The Lifting Legacy almost a year now. And my experience has only gotten a million times better. I'm now lifting over 300lbs with no issues and already plan to add another 20lbs in the next month. If you're looking for a true strength training experience and a community that pushes you to be better, this is the gym for it. Dedication has truly produced beautiful results!
First off, I've been a member going on 6 months and I'm hooked. The progress I've made with my one on one training is beyond belief. I never thought I'd be lifting weights as heavy as 275lbs as a 130lbs 5"7' dude, in such a short time. Not only have the results been physically obvious but the mental health that comes with it has been life changing. Thank you Daniel and Lexy! I hope someone reads this and makes a change they always wanted!

I've been training with Daniel at Lifting Legacy for almost a year now. I live pretty far away, so I go out of my way to come here, but it's worth it because of the quality of the training and the facility.
I've lived in Seattle for over a decade and tried many, many gyms and trainers. Daniel stands out to me as someone who has found his calling in life and is truly excellent at his job. Most trainers have seemed to me like they're just going through the motions and collecting a check. Daniel knows the science, is genuinely passionate about it, and will explain it to you if you ask (I do). I've seen much better results with him than I have with other trainers, and my workouts are less time-consuming. The gym itself is spotless, well-thought-out, and organized. For the record, I'm a middle-aged guy (44), and not remotely athletic, and I feel comfortable here, so I would recommend Lifting Legacy highly to anyone at any age or skill level, even complete beginners.

The best group training experience!
⚡️We had barbell squat, leg press, shoulder workouts.
⚡️The trainers are professional and cares about trainee’s nutritions and health conditions.
The place I would recommend to visit and get regular training.
⚡️They have plenty of barbell spaces. No need to worry about limited space for barbell in the gym.
⚡️The trainer separated the groups into different small teams to help us build upper body and lower body strength.
⚡️ It feels good every time I completed the training session.

I’ve been training at Lifting Legacy with Daniel (co-owner) for 9 months, and my experience has been nothing short of transformational. Before coming here, I stuck to free weights and light barbells in small group classes, never quite knowing how to progress safely and effectively. That all changed when I started personal training with Daniel. His expert coaching has helped me master technically complex lifts like barbell squats, deadlifts, and barbell bench press—things I never thought I’d be confident doing. More than just adding weight to the bar, Daniel has taught me how to train smart, avoid injuries, and build strength in a sustainable way. He’s incredible at breaking movements down, figuring out the right cues to help me make corrections, and knowing exactly when to push and when to refine technique.
Despite disruptions to my training regime due to travel/work/surgery, under Daniel’s guidance, my barbell back squats have jumped from 65-85 lbs to 175 lbs, and my Romanian deadlifts from 95 lbs to 195 lbs, all while improving depth, control, and technique. Plus, his holistic approach—incorporating warm-ups, mobility work, and tips on nutrition, sleep, and recovery—has helped me lift better, recover faster, and get stronger overall. One of the biggest breakthroughs for me was with bench press. I had hit a frustrating plateau where my upper body strength just wasn’t progressing, no matter how much I tried. Instead of just adding more weight, Daniel completely broke down my form, and focused on small details I had overlooked. Within weeks, I was lifting heavier (75 lbs to 100 lbs) with better control and confidence, something that had seemed out of reach before. This kind of attention to detail and being genuinely invested in his clients’ progress is what sets Daniel apart. He also continuously revises my program, keeps it challenging, and supports me relentlessly. He has truly made a difference, and training with him has been an absolute joy.
Beyond the training itself, Lifting Legacy is simply an outstanding gym. The staff is knowledgeable, friendly, and truly invested in every member’s success. It’s a place that feels welcoming, motivating, and judgment-free, which makes all the difference when you’re pushing yourself to improve. They also host great community events and workshops—I’ve learned so much from their deep dives into squats, deadlifts, and even nutrition strategies. On top of all that, the gym is spotlessly clean and well-maintained—the team truly goes above and beyond. I cannot recommend Lifting Legacy and their amazing trainers enough! If you’re looking for a gym that fosters strength, knowledge, and community, this is the place to be.

Just moved here and have been working out here for about a week. Great community environment with two owners that have made me feel right at home from where I left off! The equipment and gym is exceptionally clean and they have great amenities. Would highly recommend to anyone who is looking for a great open gym experience!
Almost 1 Year Update:
I've been here for almost a year now and have nothing but great things to say about this gym! I've never been to a place that emphasizes such a strong sense of community. Whether you're an open gym member or a client there's a lot of camaraderie and banter between everyone! It makes for a very fun environment and Alexy, Daniel, and Galen are at the center of it all! I often find myself hanging out after working out just because of people!
If you're considering personal training, I've witnessed the care they put into their clients from afar, and it spans far past just the length of the session. It's a much more considerate experience than what I've seen at big box gyms. It feels much more like they're invested in their clients lives and making lasting improvements and habits. I've seen so many people come in and make huge gains in strength and confidence!
As an open gym member, I was looking for a place that I could do powerlifting movements, and I can vouch that this is the best strength focused gym in the area. They have great equipment and are have been constantly adding core/versatile pieces. They're also always approachable for questions on technique and form. The power racks and deadlift platform are a huge plus!
If you're in the area and strength focused, look no further!
Bonus: great gym playlists

I've been training at the Lifting Legacy for about nine months now and it's been a great experience. Not only do Alexy and Daniel know their *@#! but they are also just good, kind people and they've created a really welcoming environment. I was a bit slower to get back to the gym after COVID so was looking for 1:1 training to build back my strength and regain confidence to work out on my own. They've helped me with my form and nutrition and I'm now lifting heavier than I ever have...nearing 1.5x body weight on my deadlift and increased 200% more weight on my RDLs. They are everything trainers should be...upbeat taskmasters who care about their clients as whole people (which is important to know when to push and when to dial back to prevent injury). Also, the gym is spotless!

If you are looking for coaches (not trainers - yes there is a difference), a community that lifts you up and friends, look no further. I started training with Alexy more than 4 years ago and can say she is truly the best thing that happened to my fitness. She not only helped me transform my body but more importantly also helped me change my mindset - towards fitness and food. She has helped me face and breakthrough fears and do lifts I didn't know I was capable of. Alexy, Daniel and every other coach of the lifting legacy are some of the best in the industry. I highly recommend them and the gym (which has everything you could ever need!)I've introduced multiple friends and family members to them and everyone absolutely loves them!

I was staying in Seattle for 6 weeks during a work trip, and looked for a place to keep working out while away from my home gym. So happy that I found The Lifting Legacy!
First of all, the owners and trainers Alexy and Daniel are very professional, empathetic and truly caring for their clients. Second, the gym itself is in a perfect state, there is all equipment that can be possibly needed for strength training and everything is very well maintained. And the last (but maybe it is actually the most important thing) - the community here is amazing! The vibe in this place is very fun and supportive, there are monthly community events, and it looks like people here are having so much fun!

I have become more stronger (deadlifts from 135lbs to 245lbs), while decreasing 20 pounds in fat/weight. Working with Daniel for my fitness goals has been very rewarding. I signed up for 3 classes trial and was instantly hooked for more. I have now been training with Daniel for more than 7 months.
That being said, this journey cannot be described in plain numbers. I’m much more healthy and not dieting at all. Even after leaving the personal training (some years in future), I have full confidence that I will not gain fat and loose muscles that I worked for. This has been most challenging thing for me over last 3 years. My previous routines were not-sustainable and I was prone to getting belly fat if I stopped going to gym for months.
Few things come to mind when talking about Daniel. He is authentic, warm, welcoming every time I see him. Everyone struggles with their goals and routines, but he is compassionate and try to work around my schedule whenever possible. I will say that you have to be equally motivated to see results, but I can comfortably say that if you trust your trainer and are regular to gym, you will make consistent progress.
The most eye opening thing for me when I joined the classes was that I don’t have to diet (or be in calorie deficit) or make myself miserable to maintain shape or loose fat. In fact, I'm eating more than what I started with. I started with 1900cals weekly, and now I’m at 2300 cals with 20 lbs less. I did had to go to calorie deficit for 7 weeks out of 6 months.
The monthly fitness classes that the gym organizes are also very enjoyable and inclusive. I would recommend giving it a try to see how the gym works and how you can benefit from the gym. Not everyone’s goals is to become shredded, but I can easily say that you will likely find what you’re looking for here in the gym.

Highly recommend! Over the past couple of decades, I have worked with several trainers. Daniel is by far the best. I had back surgery three years ago (before I met Daniel). I never dreamt I would be able to safely deadlift. With Daniel's guidance and expertise, I can deadlift with good form and pain free! His keen eye pickups up on my weaknesses and then he designs a program to target those weakness.
The gym has a friendly neighborhood feel. Both Alexy and Daniel are extremely passionate about helping people through their fitness journey. The gym is well equipped and absolutely the cleanest gym in town. If you want the best guidance on your fitness journey, look no farther than the Lifting Legacy.

I can’t say enough about the transformative experience I’ve had at The Lifting Legacy under the guidance of my Personal Trainer, Daniel.
I first met Daniel a little over a year ago when he was working at another gym. When Daniel told me that he was starting his own gym, there was no question I would follow because Daniel is where the magic truly happens. Daniel has a rare gift for blending professionalism with personal connection. From our very first session, it was clear that Daniel is deeply invested in his clients’ success—not just their physical results but their overall well-being. His approach is holistic, focusing on both mental and physical health, which has been a game-changer for me.
Daniel’s expertise is evident in his tailored workout plans. He took the time to understand my personal goals, limitations, and preferences, and designed a program that was both challenging and achievable. His attention to form and technique helped me avoid injuries and maximize my progress. Now, I am able to do things that I never thought were possible.
The impact of working with Daniel and being part of The Lifting Legacy community has been profound. Not only have I seen significant improvements in my strength and endurance, but I’ve also experienced a boost in my confidence and mental clarity. Daniel’s encouragement helped me build a healthier relationship with exercise and self-care, transforming it from a chore into a source of joy and empowerment.
What’s more, is Daniel (and Lex) are like family to me at this point. It’s clear that The Lifting Legacy is not just a place to work out but a place where people genuinely care about each other’s progress and well-being.
If you’re looking for a gym that goes beyond the basics and a trainer who will truly make a difference in your life, I wholeheartedly recommend The Lifting Legacy. The journey here isn’t just about hitting fitness milestones; it’s about becoming the best version of yourself.

A wonderful gym with a cool name, excellent coaches and a supportive environment. Since my first visit, Daniel and Alexy have made me feel very welcome. They are always willing to help with any questions, from providing advice for proper lifting technique to basic instruction on using equipment. Their help went a long way for me, allowing me to lift weights that I originally thought were out of my reach. So whether you are a regular or a new gym goer, I highly recommend checking out the Lifting Legacy!

I have learned how to get my diet in check so I can maximize the results from my workouts.
Whatever goal you have, Daniel and Alexy will help you get there.

A great gym with great people. Come from a family of Olympic weightlifting, and in Seattle for 2.5months so I needed a place to train. I tried out the gym and loved the equipment. Daniel and Alexy worked with me and my unique schedule to come up with a solution so I could train while in Seattle at a great price. They are knowledgeable and personable, and very professional. Overall I have had a wonderful experience and will recommend this gym to anyone in the area or anyone needing a place to train while in Seattle.

I’ve been working with Daniel for nearly a year. I loved training with him so much that I followed him from his last training gym. I’ve probably worked with 4 trainers in the past, but Daniel has been the only one who has an actual plan and follows through. We use an app so I have clear routines for homework on my own, and he gives me gentle reminders when I’m being lazy. He also helps track diet and nutrition, which made a lot more of a difference than I expected. And he can handle my silly jokes—so he’s a keeper. Haha! Love supporting Daniel & Alexy’s independent, queer-friendly trainer gym!

I was 69-year-old when I started training with Alexy. Before I met her, I did aerobic exercises, but I knew that as I was getting old, I would have to train to maintain an adequate level of flexibility, strength and endurance.
My son was already training with Alexy so I knew beforehand she was a very qualified and dedicated trainer.
She understood my fitness level and identified some functional weaknesses that I wasn’t aware. She created a personalized program for me based on my specific goals, needs and equipment I own.
Alexy knows how to motivate and keep me engaged in the routines necessary to continue in improving my strength, flexibility, and mobility for real-life activities. She suggests different options, based on weights, bands, TRX or Calisthenics so I can train everywhere when I am traveling.
She focuses on fitness and injury prevention techniques that are particularly beneficial for me as an older adult.
Alexy's extensive knowledge of exercise science, her willingness to explain it to me in detail and her offer to give me an ongoing remote support when I am back home in Canada is invaluable, making her an exceptional trainer.

She has an exceptional ability to tailor workouts to individual needs, making every session feel personalized and effective. Her keen attention to detail ensures that each exercise is performed correctly, maximizing benefits and minimizing the risk of injury.
Alexy isn’t just a trainer; she’s a partner in your fitness journey. Whether you’re a beginner or looking to push your limits, she’s the perfect guide.

Daniel has been training me for about a year and a half. I used to just do cardio and didn’t understand the importance of nutrition. He’s been so patient while teaching me proper form (as I tend to get in my own head) and he’s helped me develop a healthy relationship with food! I live out of state so I’m training with him online, and he encourages me to push myself even from afar. He keeps track of progress and changes my program periodically based on my current goals. I definitely recommend Daniel as a personal trainer if you want to see progress in the gym!!

I worked with Alexy the past 6/7 months. I came in with weight loss goals but Alexy gave me so much more! I started my journey not realizing the intense inflammation and asymmetry of my neck. Working with Alexy provided me with the relief I needed to continue an active lifestyle free of pain. I also grew stronger and saw such positive results in body composition! We also discussed food and I see eating so differently now. As something I can enjoy and use a fuel to keep my body happy and healthy. I am so grateful for all of the work we’ve done and can’t wait to keep going!

I've been training with Alexy for 2.5 years and it's been a fantastic experience. She pays close attention to ensuring that exercises are done with good form, which has helped me avoid injuries and get the most out of my workouts. The intensity of the training sessions is just right - they're challenging enough to drive progress, but not so tough that they feel overwhelming. She also puts in the effort to tailor the training program based on my evolving goals and personal circumstances. I highly recommend her as a personal trainer.

I've been training with Daniel for over two and a half years. I started training because I wanted to get in good shape and improve my sports performance. I'm glad that Daniel has helped me achieve these goals. Here are some of my achievements with Daniel's help: 1) performing pull-ups for 12 reps, 2) jumping 3 inches higher, 3) squatting twice my body weight, and 4) reducing my body fat percentage from 20% to 18% in a six-week cut.

I trained online with Daniel for about half a year. During that time, I lost over 20 pounds, increased my lift maximums by over 50%, treated past injuries, and learned how to avoid any exercise related injuries by using proper form and exercise techniques. Plus, I was able to do all of that with no crash dieting, no crazy workouts, and on a schedule that fit in with the rest of my life entirely thanks to the help of Daniel.
Daniel helped me learn how to plan and prepare healthy food by taking time to help me understand what makes food healthy or not. Then he even provided a cook book that he made full of healthy recipes that I used to get my diet on track. After teaching me how to log my food, Daniel helped keep me accountable and make any diet adjustments I needed.
Also, Daniel planned a full workout routine. We worked together to find times that fit into my schedule, then he created in depth planned workouts that fit my goals and regularly updated it to keep me engaged in the gym. These workout plans included thorough videos on proper form, and which muscles should be active for each exercise. He even hopped onto video calls with me to give me more in depth description of any exercise and answer any specific questions I had.
I couldn't suggest Daniel and Alexy more. They are kind, passionate, and incredibly talented trainers who truly care about increasing the health of the people around them. If you are looking to create a healthier lifestyle, this is a great place for that.

Before I worked with Alexy I was having difficulty with consistency and finding the motivation and time to work out at all. After working with Alexy I was doing 2-3 full-body workouts every week and finding time to add some cardio in as well.
Alexy excels at helping women like me find what works for them in a way that is personalized and sustainable. Working with her felt empowering, and her coaching style made it easy to get momentum going and build on one win after another. Her coaching style is supportive and understanding, but she also helped to push me when I needed it too.
The Lifting Legacy has a different atmosphere than other gyms, everyone is just focusing on building themselves up and being the best versions of themselves. You don't have to be self-conscious about your workout there - everyone is professional, supportive, and motivating. The gym is also in a great location in lower Queen Anne - not on a busy street but withing walking distance of lots of fun shops, restaurants, and the Seattle Center.
The equipment is all brand new, clean, and well-organized. Alexy and Daniel both focus on safety and movements that maximize your results, making the overall experience empowering. I always leave the workouts Alexy programs for me feeling stronger, refreshed, and happier!
If you're looking for a gym unlike any other - the Lifting Legacy is for you!

I have worked with Alexy as my personal trainer for over two years now. Her thoughtful approach and care for me as a whole person has been amazing. In the past I always had an all or nothing attitude when it came to fitness and food. Alexy taught me that through small incremental change I can make a big impact and doing something is better than nothing.
This paid off dividends when working with Alexy. I have never felt stronger. Alexy customizes my workout to me and makes sure that we switch it up regularly so it doesn’t get stagnant. I hit many PRs regularly and always leave feeling accomplished. Alexy also does a great job of motivating me and pushing me when I need it, but also meeting me where I’m at when it’s a more difficult day. I cannot recommend Lifting Legacy enough for both their supportive approach as well as their programming to get me to my goals.

I originally reached out to Alexy just before COVID on my doctor's recommendation given my age and my back problems (herniated disc). At first, I was apprehensive because I'd never enjoyed strength training before, but Alexy's approach really worked for me - I actually look forward to my sessions, my back feels better, and I haven't needed physical therapy for 3 years now. The strength I've gained has helped me in my daily life as well, and I just wish I had started on this journey way earlier. Do your body a favor and swing by the Lifting Legacy!

My husband and I have been training with Alexy of Lifting Legacy continuously for over 3 years now. We see a huge health benefit from the strength training Alexy taught us how to enjoy. She listens to our needs, adapts training to them (e.g. getting ready for ski season), keeps it fresh, and always keeps track of our progress. She has a great eye for form and always gives feedback so we maximize work and avoid injury. We highly recommend her services!

Both Alexy and Daniel have each helped me with training significantly. From the food options to foot placement on lifts, these two are the best in the business and are beyond knowledgeable. Daniel is an amazing trainer; he is knowledgeable and patient with his clients. I've only worked with him for a few months and even for an experienced lifter, Daniel gave me really good advice to improve my bench press/deadlift forms. He was able to spot where my form started to collapse and gave me good advice afterwards. More importantly, he is just a really good dude and solid friend, you won't regret choosing him as your trainer. 10/10 would recommend Daniel.

When I first started training with Daniel I was a bit skeptical that we'd be a good fit. He's a former marine who is built like he lives at the gym - and I'm a middle aged corporate guy who was active in sports years ago. I'm happy to report that he has proven me wrong. Not only have the results been fantastic, his approach has made me comfortable working up to heavier weights than I ever thought I'd be lifting. He pushes hard, but also listens thoughtfully and works with me to prevent injury. He's also guided me through dietary changes that were not overly onerous and have been highly effective. I can't recommend him enough!

My wife and I started working out with Daniel in 2020. We were both completely new to the gym. He explained every exercise in great detail, as well as helping us come up with a nutrition plan to help maximize our results. He keeps in constant contact with his clients and is always available if we had any questions. When the gyms closed down for covid, he even came up with a workout plan we could do at home without any equipment.
He really helped kick off our fitness journey, and we still incorporate a lot of the fundamentals he taught us, both inside and outside of the gym. We wouldn't be where we are without his hard work and dedication. Our sessions were also fun, we never felt like we were being over worked, but we were definitely pushed in a good way.
Can't recommend Daniel highly enough!

In the past, I’ve trained primarily in group fitness classes, and while they are great for general fitness, I wanted to reach my goals of building muscle and gaining strength and Daniel has been perfect for this. He also tunes in and notices subtle body movements when we train, his attention to detail makes him stand apart. Daniel also focuses on a holistic training approach which includes adjusting your food and proper stretching routines that enable you to lift better and get stronger. I’ve put on about 10 pounds of muscle while not gaining too much fat and I have developed more self-confidence in all aspects of life. If you’d like to gain strength, put on mass while learning technical compound movements like squats and deadlifts, and train without injuries, Daniel is highly recommended!

Daniel has been my personal trainer for a year now, and I can honestly say that he has been exceptional. One of my favorite things about our training is that Daniel always customizes my training plan based on my progress. He takes into account my previous injuries from work and incidents, and his training has helped me recover faster.
I have learned so much during our training sessions. One thing that stands out is that I can now squat 195lbs, which is a huge improvement from the 115lbs I started with. Daniel's guidance and expertise have really pushed me to achieve things I never thought possible.
Compared to my past experiences with other trainers, Daniel's training style is both challenging and customized to my body situation and training progress. He understands my needs and pushes me to reach my goals in a safe and effective way.
If you're debating whether or not to train with Daniel, let me assure you that he is not only fun to train with, but also incredibly helpful and professional. He takes the time to find the right training program for you and provides constant encouragement with a positive energy. Spending time with him will be worth it, and you won't regret your decision.
I highly recommend training with Daniel. He is an amazing personal trainer who genuinely cares about his clients' progress and well-being. Give him a try, and you'll see the incredible results for yourself.
