I have a busy life and I often feel overwhelmed, overstimulated, and stressed out. Joining the group classes at the Mat has helped me to slow
Down and focus on my own wellbeing. They offer a variety of classes, have wonderful instructors, create a welcoming environment, and you get a workout! I have enjoyed all of the classes that I have participated in so far. Thank you!

What an incredible experience at The Mat’s Yoga Retreat! The Sedona location was absolutely stunning, and Barb and Brooke were beyond amazing. I joined through my cousin who lives in Liberty Lake and didn’t know anyone going in, but from the moment I arrived, I felt so welcomed and at ease. The whole retreat had such a warm, uplifting energy — the perfect mix of connection, reflection, and free time to explore beautiful Sedona. The food was delicious, the activities were thoughtful, and the entire weekend left me feeling refreshed and renewed. I can’t recommend it enough!

Cozy location with great teachers. The flooring is soft, so with a mat there is some extra cushion. They are also active in the community which is awesome 👏

Thoroughly enjoy the classes we've attended during our 2 months visiting Spokane. Can not give Barb enough kudos in regards to the knowledge she has about how to deal with ailments of the body and how to release the tensions. We love how each class introduces new practices and at the end of each session we are ready to take on our day filled with sports. The studio is so cozy, the participants and Barb are so welcoming. We drive 30 minutes to attend and call this our studio away from home in Canada. We absolutely love all of the different classes The Mat has to offer!

Yoga anyone? Bad knee, sore muscles, aches and pains? You can fix it all with yoga. Try hot yoga at any level, relax to a sound bath or gear up with Pilates at The Mat, 21651 E Country Vista Dr, Ste B, Liberty Lake, WA 99019. Restorative, Power, or Hatha yoga will truly change your life. We are a very friendly community of people who like to stay healthy. Got pains - call Barb or drop in. It will change your life!!

I have been going to the Mat for about 10 years now and it never disappoints. Barb is an amazing teacher and is always so helpful and ready to answer any questions. The other instructors are just as good. It's a happy place to be.

Yoga has been a revelation to me! And the Mat has been my teacher. I am 77 years old. I attend classes three times a week and ALWAYS feel better and energized by the practice. I am more agile. I get up and down with more ease and grace—including getting up and down from the floor. My balance is improving and my general sense of wellbeing has never been better. I wish I would have taken this step a decade ago. The Mat is awesome.

Between physical injuries and poor mental health from being a health care provider during the pandemic, my pain when running was worsening. This Ironman triathlete was stopping and turning around to walk home not even 2 miles into a run. A fellow runner had gushed about yoga to me once, I was getting worse despite trying everything else, so I showed up at the Mat on a January 2nd.
There were lot of poses I couldn't do. For a long time I felt sore afterward. It was the good kind that felt like improvement though, not the more recent painful, decaying, grim-reaper-is-coming-for-my-muscles kind of sore that cut runs short. The instructors recognized my low skill level and took time to help. I missed one week that year, but only due to vacation. When I would sleep in and skip class I regretted it, as yoga always always always felt better than an extra hour of sleep.
By October of that year I had my running form back. I was healthy enough I ran a marathon again, 30 minutes faster than the last time. I can do most of the poses now. My mental health is measurably improved. That would never have happened without the instructors at the Mat.

I love THE MAT! I've been going to yoga and other health workshops there for years. There's a variety of teachers and classes. This is not the type of yoga you get at an athletic club, it's focused on a real mind / body practice, not just sweating. I love that they live stream some of the classes, now, too so I can join when I'm not able to physically go in.

Just recently started attending The Mat, and I love it! I am by no means a workout person, very beginner and I feel so invited by Barb and the other customers. I don’t get nervous if I need to take a break and it’s so great. I’ve bought my month membership already as I’m trying to be more active.
If you’re up for new things, you should give the hot power class a try!

I absolutely LOVE the Mat! The coaches and each of the practices keep me motivated and committed, and the Mat is honestly the only place where I have enjoyed working out. It's the first time in my life where I've made a regular habit of working out because the workouts are so strengthening and fun, for both the mind and body. Thanks for all you guys do!!

I'm not sure where to start. The Mat is hands down the best yoga studio around! The staff there are more like family than instructors and the atmosphere is very welcoming. Not to mention that the price is unbeatable! I can't boast enough about my experience and how much my practice grew during my time here. Unfortunately, I was only able to spend 3 months in town, but nearly every day was spent attending class at The Mat. There are a variety of instructors and classes, anything from rest and restorative to hot power yoga. I even tried SUP yoga for the first time! I HIGHLY recommend The Mat to both beginners and experienced yogis as there is something for everyone! Truly one of my favorite places in the world filled with the best people you can find. <3

I’ve been going here about a month now. Love every teacher, my personal favorite is Kristen, but all have very different styles. It’s refreshing to go to a studio that really incompasses the values of yoga and drops the rest. Highly recommend.

Consistently voted the Best Yoga Studio in town (Inlander Reader’s Poll-Best Of Spokane) and there is a reason why! Mind, body and spirit are the focus here, with caring and knowledgeable owners and instructors, calm environment, varied classes from young to old, and great sessions. Hot yoga is my favorite and provides more results than barre classes and other yoga places. This is not gym yoga. First class is free and highly addictive!

I was looking for a yoga place in my area of Post Falls or close to call home! And I've found It! I love hot yoga, I feel it gives your body the chance to really detox and get into the connection yoga has to offer! You definitely leave your mind on the mat and not in your head when practicing in the heat! All the instructors have been amazing!!! There are other classes available for the beginner and for the yogi looking for just a good stretch!

After purchasing the groupon for the five classes I tried to schedule a class through their website. It kept asking for payment, so I called the studio to get some assistance in redeeming the groupon. No response, I left three messages over two weeks and Barb never returned my call. I also left a Facebook message and still no response. Clearly they don't want new customers.

I have been a member of The Mat since it opened and am impressed with what my body can do and feel after each class, the love the instructors have for their students and the schedule/type of classes offered. I've been going to this studio consistently for about two years now. I love the instructors and am constantly learning from them! They teach with passion and from the heart and the classes are fun. They offer a variety of different types of classes to suit your preference such as restorative or hot power yoga. I've also noticed that the people that come to this place are all special and wonderful individuals. I look forward to seeing them every week.
