Next time you get a call from the city to clean up your graffiti? It was me reporting to β€œfind it fix it” instead of cleaning it up like the rest of the block/my neighborhood. If you care as much as you tried to impress me? I won’t see anymore on your property πŸ‘πŸΌ

Good gym, albeit a bit of an odd layout. The staff is friendly, the machines are a little older but if one breaks its often fixed quickly (compared to other gyms). Price is alright considering the economy. Over all I'd recommend joining.

An excellent gym. I mostly went to group classes and I met people who had been going to these group classes for a more than a decade. I think such loyalty speaks to the excellence of this place. Taking a break for the summer to play tennis. I’ll definitely come back.

This beautiful gym has a diverse setup of quality equipment and amenities. It’s laid out in a fashion that allows for a more private workout experience while also maintaining a positive feeling of community and togetherness. Locker rooms are equipped with luxurious amenities, saunas, showers, and a fireplace with seating arrangements. There are cardio sections of the gym, multi purpose rooms, options for fitness classes, and several other lounge areas with tables for comfort for work breaks or good conversation. Main areas of the gym include shared bins for equipment like belts, straps, chains, etc. that stay at the gym, which emphasizes the kind of integrity & decency of the company you’ll find at this facility.

The staff are incredibly friendly, the gym is located in a safe neighborhood, and the trainers are absolutely top tier, offering 1:1 high end, top of the line training sessions with customized plans for each client. If you’re interested in more than just a great workout routine and you want more opportunities that support a healthy lifestyle, this gym offers the benefits to help you reach those goals.

Avoid at all costs. The machines are so old they will turn your hands black. The sauna is gross, and is right by the only toilet in the men’s room. Way more gyms in the area to visit and spend your hard earned money at.

I kinda hate working out here because it feels extremely claustrophobic, and if you're there during peak hours you're just gonna be weaving thru a maze of equipment, bodies and someone getting personally trained. The weight area desperately needs a re-design. Oh and extremely inconvenient wknd hrs when I'm more likely to work out.

The new front desk/personal trainer guy is extremely rude and is just there to add to his client base. Very snob and doesn’t respond nicely to regular customers. If you can’t handle a number of customers at the same time in a polite manner, why stay there at the front desk?..

I absolutely love this gym and the people there. Never too crowded, I feel like everyone recognizes each other, and the staff are very friendly and approachable. As for the equipment, it’s pretty good. I can do everything I need to do and they have a variety of attachments for the cable machines, an abundance of cardio machines, and good weight for free weights. One of the things I like the most about this gym is the amount of gear they have for support, such as belts and grips. Always nice to have when you don’t have it yourself.

It's a gym. They have a yearly administrative fee on top of the monthly fees that they never have a good explanation for where the money goes.
Also...the machines are crammed in way too tight.
It works, though.

The Seattle Gym is an absolute gem. The impeccably clean & maintained space, attentive staff, and abundance of high quality equipment create a welcoming and elevated gym experience for everyone. Not to mention the wide selection of fitness classes led by wonderful instructors every single day. I’ve worked out at an assortment of gyms over the years and TSG stands out beyond comparison. Great community and great location, too. I absolutely recommend TSG to anyone looking for a great gym experience!

This is an amazing gym for a seasoned lifter or someone that is making a workout their news resolution. For Seattle the membership fee is affordable and you get so many perks. Also it’s a month to month membership so they do not lock you into a long term contract. On the perks, they have a sauna, locker rooms, a weight room, cardio room, and they offer tons of classes that come free with the membership!

HIGHLY recommend. Best gym in Seattle. Nice community. Not overly modern like LA fitness which is lame. Much more down to earth family run, clean, good people. Everything you could need including some boxing bags, open space for activities upstairs, plenty of weighs and machines.

We have been memebers for years. It’s a boutique gym that fits Queen Anne style. People are really nice. Feels like a really good community, instead of a cookie cutter gym. Best part is they provide towels, sauna and unique machines and Peloton etc. We love it!

Dingy, unkept gym with very shady management. I had a dispute when I was denied access due to an issue with their new automated entry system. Wrote an email complaint thinking it was management I was talking to, who promised me a refund if I wasn't happy. That process took 2 months of constant emailing after they had canceled my membership. They ultimately refunded me less than half of what I was owed. Go have a look at Henrys gym or really anything but this decrepit and poorly run business.

It is a small yet well equipped gym that has everything you need for a solid exercise and more. I particularly love the group fitness classes, specifically the body pump. The classes are distributed evenly throughout the week and at accessible times that allows plenty of time to arrive after a day of work. The instructors are always prepared with blood pumping music and intense yet manageable routines. I am glad Queen Anne has this gym.

Love this gym and will miss it. A member here for the last 2-3 years, moved out to Ballard so the commute is longer now. It's got an old school charm. If you care about improving your health and achieving your fitness goals without any extra frills, come here. The community is accepting and very friendly. Sure it's old, but I appreciate that it's been around for almost 40 years. It's a very blue collar place that motivates you to work your hardest. That's all you need.

If you're considering choosing this as your gym of choice, think twice.
Let me break out my review in two sections:

1. Facility & equipment: The staff does a fair job keeping this place clean. Although equipment are mostly old, they're well maintained and you should be able to find most things you need for your workout. There are areas dedicated for stretching, etc. which is also nice. Only problem is with people just spending hours on same equipment and the staff not doing anything about it despite complaints. Even worse, some of those culprits are trainers or staff members. Go figure.

2. Management: Biggest reason I'm giving this sketchy business 1-star. Sure, most gyms are sketchy with shady cancellation practice but this gym takes it to the next level. First of all, check out their website. Do you see an e-mail address listed there? No, they use a generic submit form tool which doesn't even send you a copy. What does this mean? When you request something, like cancellation request, you have no documented proof (outside of taking screenshot, I suppose) and they'll play dumb and say they've never received cancellation request. You call for the same, they'll hang up on you. I didn't expect amazing customer service but this was the worst I've ever seen.

If you're near the area, and I can't believe I'm saying this, but I recommend that you check out Planet Fitness instead. I know, I know. But it's still miles better than this place and you'll thank me for it.

It's a pretty good gym. The staff are friendly and helpful. However It's a good idea to not give them a credit card number for the monthly billing. They just keep on charging to the card even after you give the proper notice of cancellation. I gave notice at the end of Nov., 2019, and was paid up through Dec. 2019. They sent a nice email saying "Your cancellation request form has been submitted!" Also a nice following line saying if there was any problem I'd be contacted. There was no contact, so I figured the membership was concluded as per their requirement.
Then on Jan 15, 2020, they charged $125.88 to my card.
Well this could either be stealing, or just incompetence in their bookkeeping. It's not been an uncommon experience with past gym club members.
Best to just write 'em a check every month.

It's a fairly nice gym, friendly staff and professional instructors. I'd rate it clean environment and they have all the tools you need. There's just one thing makes me very uncomfortable and frustrated. Smartphones in the chancing room and in the sauna. It's disturbing that someone is shooting a selfie whilst you're changing.. Or doing what ever they need to be doing with their smartphones in the..SAUNA?! I can't imagine the kind of addiction one might have if they really must bring their phone to sauna where one should relax and meditate. UGH. Several times I felt like some one may have been filming me (intentionally or unintentionally), though I can't be sure. This made me so uneasy. I told the staff, but they shrugged it off. It made me consider switching gyms and I have heard that other gyms in the area have zero tolerance for smartphones in the changing area and saunas. I would totally root for this, as these days you never know what people are doing with their phones..

As a former member of the Laurelhurst location, which closed May 2019, I'm beginning to think The SeattleGYM folks are thieves, as they have yet to refund my money no matter the many requests for a refund. Calling doesn't work. Leaving messages doesn't work. Maybe a bit of public shaming will get the job done.

The gym itself is well stocked and has decent pricing if you can get in on their specials. But the billing policy is a bit sketchy, especially their 30 day cancellation. If you want to cancel your membership even a day after you've been billed, you'll get billed for the following month as well. You will also get charged a yearly maintenance fee, which makes you wonder what the monthly fee you're already paying is for.

With the closing of the Laurelhurst location in June, I was promised a refund for the remainder of the year. I have yet to receive a refund or to hear back even after multiple emails and an official cancellation request. I'm very disappointed in the lack of customer service/response after being a member on and off for many years. I wrote off the frequent delays in repairing equipment, etc. over the years as the price to be paid for an affordable gym. No more. Buyer beware.

Recently moved, and hadn’t visited the gym in probably 3 months. Turns out you have to wait an additional 30 days so they can β€œreview” your cancellation. Nice place. Nice staff. Clean. There are both machines and free weights. Most things you need to get a great work out are available here. There is no pool, but there is a sauna, showers, punching bags, and a gym thay is available on the weekends when there are not classes occupying it. It is Not usually packed, sometimes only a few people there. We got in at $60 per month for the main membership and $25 for an additional.

Just a word of who you are dealing with when you sign up for this place... I attempted to cancel my membership here. Apparently, that is not enough and now they are trying to get fees after I already cancelled my membership. I would not recommend this business for this reason along with a few others:
- Machines are often broken and will not be repaired for a number of weeks
- Overall the gym is not kept that clean
- No air conditioning so summer months it is harder to use this facility
- TVs and listening devices for them are old and do not work well if at all

Do yourself a favor and find a better gym.

I'm a little bias as this is my neighborhood gym - but I find that it accommodates everything I need including coaches in addition to small and large workout classes; Spin, HiiT, Body Pump, Yoga, Balletone, etc. The instructors are amazing (Vicky, Kyle and Stephanie are some of my favorite) who assist you in your form to avoid injury and have best results. I take the Pilates and DanceFITT classes first time, and now I tried Zumba, TBT and Yoga (with Kelly). For me is very important the guidance and experience of the instructors, and I think the instructors here are great, even when the group is numerous.
