Closing for good at the end of May 2019. It's the end of an era!

This is infuriating! They don’t show up to open the gym! This behavior ebbs and flows. The employees will show up on time, open the gym and it’s great. Lately, once again, no one shows up! Absolutely abhorrent at 5:30AM. Damnit. Hire people who will effing show up! I want my money back for these days.
Plus the bldg leaks and most of the machines are broken. But show the hell up!

I have been going to this gym for nearly 3 years. I am sad to say but this place is absolutely falling apart.
Pros:
-Friendly staff
-Friendly gym mates
-Convenient
-Lots of mirrors for form check.
- I like some of the leg-day equipment more than MAC.
Cons:
-Ceilings always leaking.
-Large holes in the ceiling over the men’s toilet that has been out of service in the past due to the rain-the staff just put a bucket under the hole.
-Stifling temperature in the summer and cold in the winter.
-I have never used the showers-mold and generally unclean.
-Holes in the floorboards-tripping hazard.
-Equipment isn’t very clean.
-Lots of equipment is out of service. There was a broken mirror for about 6 months, held together with tape.
Right now I am very frustrated because the free-weight section smells like sewage from the terrible leaks and the owners neglect to fix the issues.
I am very close to closing my membership and just lifting at the Magnuson Athletic Center.

Great gym, friendly staff, clean environment. Great place to work out when your child has been admitted to the hospital. Seattle gym was a life saver for me...I was able to burn off some stress and return to the hospital full of positive energy for my little guy.
Words are not enough to thank you Seattle Gym, you and your employees are AMAZING!

Seattle gym is a lovely neighborhood gym centrally located in Queen Anne. The staff is friendly and helpful. Lots of fun classes with instructors who are interested in helping you improve your fitness safely. Lots of equipment, plenty of room. I’m very happy with this gym.

I went in there asking about a membership and the counter person treated me poorly because I didn't work for Amazon and wasn't interested in helping me.

Don’t bother. This gym charges as if it were a high quality boutique gym, and they don’t even invest in basic upkeep. The heating system has been broken at least since the autumn and nothing has been done to fix it. Parts of the gym have been consistently as cold as tve outside temperature. (It’s Nov 28th right now and it has already snowed and frosted over several times this year.)
The cardio machines are sort of kept up— they are old and few, but they work. The weights are extremely limited. The classes offered are better on average than chain gyms. That and the limited options in this location are probably the only reasons it remains in business.

I love the rustic neighborhood gym feel. I've been able to get a great workout in, shower in a clean facility, and walk out the door happy everytime. I love having the option to support a local business. I've never felt crowded even though it's not a massive box gym, but maybe that's because I miss the busy times, who knows. The staff are exactly what I want out of gym staff: competent and polite. I like being left alone to get work done, I don't require any hand holding. This place is outstanding.

I've been a member of the club for over 22 years. The club has kept my 24 inch waist and well defined abs in superb condition.

I just signed up for the third time at the Laurelhurst location (used to be Pro Robics). Was a member there 10 years ago, and one summer a few years back. I've always been treated well by the staff, and the gym meets my basic workout needs. For $40 a month, I don't think I can complain about what it lacks.
I agree the main reasons I signed up here were location and price, and lack of alternatives! If an LA Fitness or other chain gym opened up down the street, I'd switch in a heartbeat for the newer facilities, space, and updated equipment.
