Huge thanks to Coach Andy, I got my first muscle-ups and I'm now working toward handstand walking and handstand push-ups. And shoutout to Coach Maria, who's slowly but surely getting my double-unders consistent. Appreciate you both! Also Stacy and Tate. Sorry coach Michael, almost never see you🤣🤫

Wow! As someone who has never done Cross Fit I was so amazed and how welcome and joyful I felt at Tiltshift. Andy and Maria are phenomenal and know how to not only welcome you as part of the family (met so many cool people there) but also adapt things to meet your skill level. Feeling stronger and better already.

Pretty awesome CrossFit gym. I dropped in for a couple of classes Aug 2025 while traveling. Andy and Maria were very welcoming as were other athletes in the classes. If you're new to fitness and/or CrossFit, then this is a good place to start!

A great space for an excellent workout! The waiting area allows you to connect with the coaches and other members without disrupting the previous class or having to talk over the music. Andy and Maria have boards for upcoming events, supporting their community and a space for introducing new clients in a comfortable setting. The workout space is laid out well so you have plenty of room for your equipment but close enough to hear and see the coach from any spot. Andy did a great job of acknowledging every single athlete, explaining the movements and making adjustments, if needed. Highly motivating!

I’ve been searching for a CrossFit gym for a while, exploring options in Des Moines, Renton, Rainier Beach, and Burien before finally choosing Tiltshift in White Center. I decided on Tiltshift because Chelsea, the owner, and Tate, one of the gym managers, took the time to answer all my questions and concerns. Their quick and thoughtful responses really stood out to me, especially as someone new to CrossFit.

What I admire most about Tiltshift is Chelsea’s decision to open the gym in White Center. While many CrossFit gyms are concentrated in Seattle, marginalized neighborhoods often lack access to affordable, high-quality fitness centers. Tiltshift addresses this gap beautifully with a sliding scale membership, making CrossFit accessible to everyone. This approach is so meaningful, given how expensive CrossFit and other fitness classes can be.

I’ve taken two classes so far, and I’ve really enjoyed them—they’ve had me sweating, pushing myself outside of my comfort zone, while still having fun. I’m excited to continue this journey and see where it takes me!

Tiltshift is a fantastic community focused gym. Chelsea and all the trainers have been so supportive since I've joined despite me knowing nothing about crossfit when I started. I feel really lucky to have this spot just down the street from me.

This is such a great gym! Clean, (like, pandemic clean,) well ventilated, with equipment in good shape, and the coaches and owner are knowledgeable and kind. And it's growing!

Tiltshift makes CrossFit feel accessible to people of all skill and fitness levels, of just about any age.

With the recent addition of Tiltshift Coffee, you can have a coffee, tea, or protein shake waiting for you after your workout. Grab and go burritos, as well!

I've been going to Tiltshift for two weeks now, and I'm so happy to be part of such a welcoming community. The level of camaraderie around everyone completing some truly challenging workouts every day has been exactly what I've needed in my life now that I work from home full-time in a post-pandemic-lockdown world.

Knowing very little about cross fit I decided to give it a try at 60. Chelsea and her staff at Tiltshift have welcomed, educated and now encourage me every time I go. The warm up and workout each day changes and is working every muscle in my body. The facility is set up when I get there and the instructor is ready and waiting for the class. I’m glad Tiltshift is in my neighborhood if it wasn’t I would travel to where they are at. I’m hooked.

Great Gym, super fun, and helpful. One thing I love about their team is that they have many different ways to create, "touch points" with their members. They send emails, and texts, and work with folks not only when the client is in a session or class, but also outside of it. They also tend to offer events for the their fitness community to hang out and do things together! This is a fantastic place to work out!

My husband and I have been attending classes at TiltShift for 6 months now. Prior to this, we had an incredibly negative experience at another local CrossFit gym which completely turned us off to it. Luckily, one of the coaches at this gym happens to be my best friend Maria so she encouraged us to give TiltShift a try. I didn't believe her when she told us this gym had an incredibly strong, supportive and diverse community of CrossFitters, but let me tell you, I believe her now! My husband and I absolutely love this gym. Every single coach is kind, supportive, knowledgable and encouraging. I have never in my 32 years of life actually liked going to a gym, or EVER developed any sort of community at one. Every class I attend I am making new friends and growing a larger community. It's amazing!

People of all ability levels, sizes, and ages work out together and everyone encourages each other and cheers each other on. This is TRULY a supportive and uplifting community. I am making amazing progress in my strength training and feel stronger and healthier everyday because of this gym.

If I could give one million stars I would. Chelsea has really created something special here. Thank you for all you do coach!

Historically I have hated group fitness classes. But at TiltShift?! My perspective shifted! In the past I would always be conscious about my skill level and physical ability. At TiltShift it's absolutely incredible how they work with folks from all skill levels, all physical abilities, and are so kind, supportive and effective in their coaching technique. The community cultivated in this gym is one that I've personally never seen in a gym. Everyone cares for one another, cheers each other on, and truly makes an effort to get to know you. Do I have CrossFit friends now? Hell yeah I do.

My husband and I have recently been in an extremely tight financial spot which in the past prevented us from being able to go to most CrossFit gyms. TiltShift has a sliding scale that we were able to access based on our income level. We are so grateful for this level of care and understanding regarding our financial situation that when we do finally get our footing financially, we plan to pay it forward and sponsor the cost of other folks who will need it in the future.

TiltShift is equity and fitness in action!

Sorry guys but I will write this in my language because my Latinx community should know what a nice, kind, warm, cool, and inclusive is this place:

Tilt-shift is a place for all. It's fun, and I feel I am making a difference in my lifestyle, each time I come here.

The workout is well structured starting with warmup, stretches and followed by the workout of the day. All the coaches are very nice, well trained, and put a lot of time and energy into making sure each person puts their best effort learning postures and is able to finish all exercises with their scaled version. Each activity can be logged in the SugarWod app, which helps you keep track of your progress, and also socialize with other members.

Just do it for a month, and you will be amazed to see the results and benefits of joining such a great gym.

I’ve worked out at a number of different CrossFit gyms and Tiltshift has consistently been one of the bests. Whether you’re brand new to CrossFit and have years of experience, the coaches here know how to best engage where you’re at. I’ve also always found the workouts to be “fun” no matter how hard they are (fun being relative). I’ve been to other gyms where it’s just a slog of a workout and that just doesn’t happen here. Anyway, I highly recommend Tiltshift

I started CrossFit 1 year ago with Tiltshift as a new activity during the pandemic. I didn’t realize I would be this into it a year later. Prior to joining I was just doing my own bodybuilding routine at the gym and mixing in some Barrys Bootcamp every now and then. I now attend classes regularly aiming for 5 days a week and sometimes I’ll take a Barry’s class to mix it up. I love the variety of exercises and the programming Chelsea and the coaches come up with. I feel like I’ve seen a noticeable difference in my overall fitness, but still have a lot to learn. I can’t wait to get my first Bar and Ring muscle ups and to hopefully be able to handstand walk someday haha. The barbell work with Olympic lifts has really helped strengthen my back and broaden my shoulders. I’ve also really learned to be able to develop better mind to muscle connection through various warmups and activities during class. The people and the community are what make the experience so much better than just grinding away at the gym alone. Everyone I’ve met is very encouraging and wants everyone to enjoy themselves in their fitness journey.

I’ve had a wonderful six months at Tiltshift. It’s a great community with friendly, supportive coaches. The membership is a good mix that ranges from competitive athletes to people just trying to get back in shape. As someone who is closer to that second group, I’ve loved that everyone supports everyone, and that a new member getting their first pull up is met with as much enthusiasm as a long term member reaching a technically difficult milestone.

The times are convenient and spaced throughout the day, the apps make it easy to schedule your workouts, and I’ll say again that the people are wonderful, inclusive and a real delight to spend an hour with a few times a week.

Tiltshift CrossFit provides an amazing opportunity in White Center to workout, get in shape, and improve your overall quality of life all while being in a welcoming community that is LGBTQIA+ friendly.

After leaving a different gym I took some time away from fitness, so coming back into it, I was definitely nervous; so, even though I had previous CrossFit experience, I took the introductory course they offer to re-familiarize myself with proper movements with a big emphasis on technique and safety.

When my friend and I turned 50 last year, she had (what I thought to be) a ridiculous idea…”Let’s do CrossFit.” My first thought was “no way.” She put me in charge of exploring CrossFit options in our area. When I landed on the Tiltshift website, first thing I saw was the “Gratitude” picture. I knew this was the one gym I’d be willing to try.
I’ve now been a member at Tiltshift for 9 months. It has truly been a life changing experience. I’ve gone from being unhealthy physically and mentally to realizing my own strength and capabilities. This is all due to the Tiltshift coaches and atmosphere at the gym. The coaches are amazing. They go above and beyond to make you feel comfortable, give you options to be successful with your current physical abilities and push you just enough to realize you’re stronger than you think. I’ve gone from going to the gym two days a week to going to the 5 a.m. class five days a week. Not just for the physical workout but because it’s become the best way physically and mentally to start my day.

I have had gym memberships for the past 30 years in hopes that I was active and taking good care of myself. But in hindsight, those experiences were not what I needed (aka I rarely went). It wasn’t until I started going to Tiltshift that I ever regularly attended and used my membership to the fullest. Chelsea and the coaches deliver the CrossFit experience with expertise and care. I show up at 5am daily to a WOD, a coach having already thought about scaling it to my ability, and me feeling stronger and more able everyday. I keep coming back because of the coaches, the expertise, the community. I leave everyday taking with me the incredible idea that I just did something I thought I could never do. This place and all it holds- all it gives, is a gift.

Tiltshift may be one of the best Crossfit places in Seattle. coaching is 10/10, membership make-up 10/10, and the programming is definitely 10/10.

Of note: I have been a member of a number of different CF boxes in Seattle over the last 10-12 years, so I feel like I can say confidently that Tiltshift stands out from the rest. Here's why.

Keeping it real: the coaching here is much more centered around achievement of YOUR goals, not the gym's goals. This leads to a place where you can feel included and empowered to do your best and that's enough. Where CF gets its bad rep is often rooted in the idea that the whiteboard must be all massive weights and Rx PRs. Don't get me wrong, Tiltshift is challenging and you'll get pushed, but artful coaching leads that pushing to be from inside you, not at you.

Community: See above. The result of less bro dude 'tude from the coaching team leads to a stronger and more accepting community. I'm in decent shape and I'm outgoing and social, but I've ALWAYS felt intimidated at Crossfit gyms, I just figured it came with the territory. Until now.

So sign up, drop in if you're traveling, come by and see how great you can feel in the right environment.

Great inclusive community at this gym. I was in need of a kickstart after gyms were closed during the pandemic and my home program wasn’t cutting it. So glad I found Tiltshift! Coaches are great and the programming is right-sized for a challenge and may be modified when an athlete needs it.

I knew literally nothing about CrossFit when I joined, I just knew that I wanted more discipline and community in my life (ok—and to stop panting each time I walked up a flight of stairs). This has been the perfect place for that and I’m really grateful I found it on Google. The reviews are all true! The owner Chelsea and her coaches are so friendly, knowledgeable, passionate and professional. Workouts are adjusted to whatever level you need them to be that day, and in the end we’re all doing the same workout and cheering each other on. I appreciate how inclusive, diverse, accessible (physically and financially) and community-oriented it is. The apps we use to schedule classes and log our workout scores for the day are very simple to use and make it so easy on planners like me, especially when my schedule can change week to week. If you’re on the fence, go to the free intro class and see what it’s like, I was hooked the first day!

Such an AMAZING box!!! Chelsea and all the coaches make it a priority to create an inclusive and welcoming community. The coaches are knowledgeable and know when to challenge you when you need to be challenged, but without being pushy or unsafe. They are mindful of movement patterns and ensure that members are doing the movements correctly, efficiently, and safely.

I highly recommend joining TILTSHIFT Crossfit! Chelsea welcomes you instantly with her big smile and has created a true community for fitness! I love the energy and vibes at this box and they are very particular when it comes to technique and spotting. The instructors are observant, talented and very supportive! I appreciate a good box that makes this a high priority and Chelsea has you practice the movements before going into the WOD. This helps prevent injury & makes you feel more confident when performing the exercise! The box is extremely clean & we sanitize each piece of equipment after using! This is a positive place that is build on a strong foundation for the "FitFam" practicing a "Gratitude Circle" before the WOD! Best way to start your day; with a grateful heart & ignited soul to push yourself to your highest potential!

Give Tiltshift a try! You will find it all here- top notch professionally trained coaches, smaller class sizes, clean equipment and space, diverse WOD programming and an amazing community! I was very nervous about trying out crossfit for the first time. Tiltshift coaches and members made my initial classes welcoming and comfortable. The coaches continue to work with me daily on how to scale workouts based on my abilities. Tiltshift provides a fitness opportunity for all skill levels. I love the commitment the coaches and members have to the White Center community!

The most welcoming XFit gym I've attended yet! Focused on people and not just profit and numbers. Great coaches, friendly team mates, great gym space. I love the White Center location because it's even closer than any other of the gyms in the area. With the the bridge closed this WC/WS move is a blessing.

I have been out of the gym for about 4 years and have put on close to 80lbs in that time. Starting at a crossfit gym was more than intimidating and I was so hesitant to even sign up. After fighting my insecurities, I signed up for the beginners class at Tiltshift. Not only was I welcomed as a beginner, everyone in this gym is so non-judgmental and supportive. I am almost done with the beginner series, and I feel like Tiltshift is going to completely change my life. The owner Chelsea is so patient and understanding to my needs. I recommend this gym to anyone who wants to start a new lifestyle 💪🤙🤗

Love this box, and chelsea (the owner and head coach) is an absolute saint. The whole mission is to make fitness more accessible, so they have a sliding scale for pricing (only cf gym I know of that does this).

Visited Tiltshift Lab CrossFit for the first time last week. Have to say that they're one of the best gyms I've ever been to! Normally when I travel I like to visit different boxes every day but the community at Tiltshift is so welcoming and the coaching staff is top notch for all levels I didn't want to go anywhere else.

Tons of equipment (more than I've seen at most gyms), beautiful view of the water, the very rare men's and women's locker room complete with showers...YES!!! They have showers!!! Made them my new fitness family in Seattle. Best of all they have a gym dog Luna who is unbelievably sweet and the perfect ambassador for the gym.

Whether you're new to CrossFit or just starting out I highly recommend them and will definitely be back whenever I'm in the area. Thank you Chelsea and the rest of the Tiltshift Lab Community! You guys were amazing and I can't wait to be back there just to workout with you all again!!

I'm writing a review because I do NOT come from a fitness background and I feel like people should know how instructive, patient and motivating the folks at The Lab have been.

Something I have a hard time with at regular gyms is that I want to be able to push myself to build strength, but I dont have the background in weight training to feel confident that I will be executing exercises appropriately. Not only is it embarassing to dumbly flail about on different gym machinery, it's potentially dangerous. I've tried other trendy fitness programs, such at Orange Theory, but I love the strength building aspects of CrossFit and those Orange Theory classes, while they are fantastically motivating when it comes to cardio execises, they are usually so over burdened and crowded that I hardly get any insight about whether I'm even perfoming the exercises correctly-- I'm way uncoordinated y'all. I've actually encountered this over crowding problem at other crossfit gyms, as well, but it's defiitely less common.

What I love about The Lab, and the trainers there particularly, is that while I can see that they are busy, and they can't always parent me, they not only give me instruction, but they celebrate me when I execute things correctly, and most importantly, they make me feel ok when I don't know how to do something right. It's so helpful to feel accepted, supported and celebrated. You guys are just the motivation an uncoordinated girl like me needs.

Keep it up guys! I wish all gyms could make me feel as empowered as you folks do. :)

I'm a visiting Olympic lifter from the Tacoma area and I was hoping to do a drop-in lift today (Saturday, January 2nd) to adhere to my weightlifting programming. I arrived at the gym around 10:30 and was excited to see people already lifting. When I tried to join, I was essentially told to kick rocks.

You can walk into literally any Olympic lifting facility south of the Seattle area and be welcomed with open arms, ESPECIALLY on a Saturday. Always thought that was kind of an unwritten rule in the Oly community, but hey I've only been at this for 3-4 years at different gyms around the northwest.

The Lab is more than your average Crossfit gym. The space is fantastic, well laid out, with new equipment. Lindsey, the owner, is an expert when it comes to programming. Whether you are a beginner or an advanced athlete, the programming will challenge and push you to reach your weight loss or fitness goals or to help you to become a competitive Crossfit athlete. Another unique aspect of the Lab are the diverse backgrounds of the coaching staff. There are coaches that specialize in gymnastics movements, Olympic lifting, erg-ing, mobility, etc. So not only do you get a wonderful space, top of the line equipment, the best programming around, specialized coaching, the members have created a great community feel where everyone is helping each other improve and reach their individual goals! I would suggest this box to any and everyone interested in trying Crossfit out for the first time, or seasoned athletes looking to propel themselves to the next level.

Two things you need to know about The Lab: 1. It's the best Crossfit gym in Seattle - best programming, best coaches, best facility (it even has showers - that's tough to find at Crossfit gyms). Whatever your fitness level is The Lab can help you move forward on your fitness journey - exercising for the first time since you were 10, recovering from an injury and getting back to exercising, or in good shape and looking for something new to push you - The Lab is your place.
2. Amazing community of people making healthy-living a priority. Everyone started somewhere and many have come a long ways. There is never any judgement about where someone is on the path to healthy living, just a lot of support, encouragement, and resources to learn more about healthy living choices. Check out The Lab. You'll look back on that decision as one of the best you made in your life.

TheLab’s new location in Fremont is fantastic. With still the same focus on solid & versatile programming and customized workouts for all ability levels, TheLab’s larger space and expanded class and open-gym hours, makes this the top xfit/strength & conditioning gym in Seattle. Whether you’re a veteran xfitter or brand new to the sport, TheLab has something to offer you. Not to mention an awesome community of athletes that will sweat, cheer, motivate and improve with you each day. Come play! …did I mention the post-workout BBQs?!

TheLab's new location is awesome! Great, huge space for everything you could possibly want to do in a CF box. Still has open gym hours when you can't make it to one of the classes :) And of course, the programming and coaches are just as fantastic as they were before. Also nice to have a variety of specialty clubs/seminars/classes to improve in specific areas of CF to supplement the WODs.

The Lab is a standout amongst CrossFit gyms because it is so much more than just CrossFit. The spacious gym has a dedicated weightlifting area, mobility area & open gym hours. You can get your sweat on in a class or stop in mid day to do some lifting/skill work. So stop looking for your next gym & just go to the Lab, you won't be sorry.
